CVE-2024-53177 9.8 critical — linux In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: prevent use-after-free due to open_cached_dir error paths If open_cached_dir() encounters an error parsing the lease from the server, the error handling may race with receiving a lease break, resulting in open_cached_dir() freeing the cfid while the queued work is pending. Update open_cached_dir() to drop refs rather than directly freeing the cfid. Have cached_dir_lease_break(), cfids_laundromat_worker(), and invalidate_all_cached_dirs() clear has_lease immediately while still holding cfids->cfid_list_lock, and then use this to also simplify the reference counting in cfids_laundromat_worker() and invalidate_all_cached_dirs(). Fixes this KASAN splat (which manually injects an error and lease break in open_cached_dir()): ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in smb2_cached_lease_break+0x27/0xb0 Read of size 8 at addr ffff88811cc24c10 by task kworker/3:1/65 CPU: 3 UID: 0 PID: 65 Comm: kworker/3:1 Not tainted 6.12.0-rc6-g255cf264e6e5-dirty #87 Hardware name: VMware, Inc. CVE-2024-53178 7.5 high — linux In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: Don't leak cfid when reconnect races with open_cached_dir open_cached_dir() may either race with the tcon reconnection even before compound_send_recv() or directly trigger a reconnection via SMB2_open_init() or SMB_query_info_init(). The reconnection process invokes invalidate_all_cached_dirs() via cifs_mark_open_files_invalid(), which removes all cfids from the cfids->entries list but doesn't drop a ref if has_lease isn't true. This results in the currently-being-constructed cfid not being on the list, but still having a refcount of 2. It leaks if returned from open_cached_dir(). Fix this by setting cfid->has_lease when the ref is actually taken; the cfid will not be used by other threads until it has a valid time. CVE-2026-119249 7.5 high — ubiquiti inc, wifiman desktop for macos A malicious actor with access to the network could exploit a Binding to an Unrestricted IP Address vulnerability found in WiFiman Desktop for macOS to obtain information about the host device. 19 h ago
CVE-2026-119407 7.1 high — element-hq, element-web, element-desktop Element Web and Element Desktop before 1.12.32 accept guest credentials from URL fragment parameters in loadSession, allowing remote unauthenticated attackers to log out users and clear local stores. Attackers can lure logged-in users into opening links with guest_user_id and guest_access_token to force an attacker-controlled guest session and destroy unbacked end-to-end encryption keys. 4 h ago

CVE-2026-101897 5.1 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. From 1.20.0 until 1.21.1, the Angular DevTools background service worker accepts chrome.runtime.sendMessage runtime messages from untrusted web pages or third-party content scripts without adequately verifying the message source. An untrusted sender that obtains a valid randomized victim tabId can direct the extension to use chrome.debugger to attach to another browser tab and trigger Chrome DevTools Protocol breakpoints. This can display the debugging banner, pause JavaScript execution, and prevent interaction with the target tab, but it does not provide remote code execution, privilege escalation, or cross-origin access to memory or credentials. This issue is fixed in version 1.21.1. Thu 29 Oct
