|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CVE-2020-29573 | 7.5 high | 3.0% | gnu, redhat, glibc, enterprise_linux, cloud_backup | sysdeps/i386/ldbl2mpn.c in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) before 2.23 on x86 targets has a stack-based buffer overflow if the input to any of the printf family of functions is an 80-bit long double with a non-canonical bit pattern, as seen when passing a \x00\x04\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x04 value to sprintf. NOTE: the issue does not affect glibc by default in 2016 or later (i.e., 2.23 or later) because of commits made in 2015 for inlining of C99 math functions through use of GCC built-ins. In other words, the reference to 2.23 is intentional despite the mention of "Fixed for glibc 2.33" in the 26649 reference. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2019-20907 | 7.5 high | 3.0% | python, opensuse, leap, debian_linux | In Lib/tarfile.py in Python through 3.8.3, an attacker is able to craft a TAR archive leading to an infinite loop when opened by tarfile.open, because _proc_pax lacks header validation. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2019-19959 | 7.5 high | 3.0% | sqlite, canonical, ubuntu_linux | ext/misc/zipfile.c in SQLite 3.30.1 mishandles certain uses of INSERT INTO in situations involving embedded '\0' characters in filenames, leading to a memory-management error that can be detected by (for example) valgrind. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2020-11501 | 7.4 high | 3.0% | gnu, canonical, gnutls, ubuntu_linux, debian_linux | GnuTLS 3.6.x before 3.6.13 uses incorrect cryptography for DTLS. The earliest affected version is 3.6.3 (2018-07-16) because of an error in a 2017-10-06 commit. The DTLS client always uses 32 '\0' bytes instead of a random value, and thus contributes no randomness to a DTLS negotiation. This breaks the security guarantees of the DTLS protocol. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2016-10165 | 7.1 high | 3.0% | littlecms, canonical, little_cms_color_engine, ubuntu_linux, debian_linux | The Type_MLU_Read function in cmstypes.c in Little CMS (aka lcms2) allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information or cause a denial of service via an image with a crafted ICC profile, which triggers an out-of-bounds heap read. | 15 Oct |
| CVE-2017-15422 | 6.5 medium | 3.0% | google, icu-project, chrome, international_components_for_unicode, debian_linux | Integer overflow in international date handling in International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ before 60.1, as used in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 63.0.3239.84 and other products, allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory read via a crafted HTML page. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2015-7575 | 5.9 medium | 3.0% | mozilla, opensuse, network_security_services, leap | Mozilla Network Security Services (NSS) before 3.20.2, as used in Mozilla Firefox before 43.0.2 and Firefox ESR 38.x before 38.5.2, does not reject MD5 signatures in Server Key Exchange messages in TLS 1.2 Handshake Protocol traffic, which makes it easier for man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof servers by triggering a collision. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2019-19242 | 5.9 medium | 3.0% | sqlite, canonical, ubuntu_linux, enterprise_linux | SQLite 3.30.1 mishandles pExpr->y.pTab, as demonstrated by the TK_COLUMN case in sqlite3ExprCodeTarget in expr.c. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2016-9318 | 5.5 medium | 3.0% | xmlsoft, canonical, libxml2, ubuntu_linux | libxml2 2.9.4 and earlier, as used in XMLSec 1.2.23 and earlier and other products, does not offer a flag directly indicating that the current document may be read but other files may not be opened, which makes it easier for remote attackers to conduct XML External Entity (XXE) attacks via a crafted document. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2014-9323 | 5.0 medium | 3.0% | firebirdsql, opensuse, firebird, evergreen, debian_linux | The xdr_status_vector function in Firebird before 2.1.7 and 2.5.x before 2.5.3 SU1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference, segmentation fault, and crash) via an op_response action with a non-empty status. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2016-5131 | 8.8 high | 2.0% | google, xmlsoft, chrome, libxml2, iphone_os | Use-after-free vulnerability in libxml2 through 2.9.4, as used in Google Chrome before 52.0.2743.82, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors related to the XPointer range-to function. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2018-19543 | 7.8 high | 2.0% | jasper_project, canonical, jasper, ubuntu_linux, debian_linux | An issue was discovered in JasPer 2.0.14. There is a heap-based buffer over-read of size 8 in the function jp2_decode in libjasper/jp2/jp2_dec.c. | 15 Oct |
| CVE-2020-12762 | 7.8 high | 2.0% | json-c, fedoraproject, fedora, debian_linux | json-c through 0.14 has an integer overflow and out-of-bounds write via a large JSON file, as demonstrated by printbuf_memappend. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2019-13602 | 7.8 high | 2.0% | videolan, debian, vlc_media_player, debian_linux, ubuntu_linux | An Integer Underflow in MP4_EIA608_Convert() in modules/demux/mp4/mp4.c in VideoLAN VLC media player through 3.0.7.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow and crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted .mp4 file. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2026-3497 | 6.9 medium | 2.0% | canonical, openbsd, ubuntu_linux, openssh, debian_linux | Vulnerability in the OpenSSH GSSAPI delta included in various Linux distributions. This vulnerability affects the GSSAPI patches added by various Linux distributions and does not affect the OpenSSH upstream project itself. The usage of sshpkt_disconnect() on an error, which does not terminate the process, allows an attacker to send an unexpected GSSAPI message type during the GSSAPI key exchange to the server, which will call the underlying function and continue the execution of the program without setting the related connection variables. As the variables are not initialized to NULL the code later accesses those uninitialized variables, accessing random memory, which could lead to undefined behavior. The recommended workaround is to use ssh_packet_disconnect() instead, which does terminate the process. The impact of the vulnerability depends heavily on the compiler flag hardening configuration. | 15 Oct |
| CVE-2018-19542 | 6.5 medium | 2.0% | jasper_project, canonical, jasper, ubuntu_linux, linux_enterprise_desktop | An issue was discovered in JasPer 2.0.14. There is a NULL pointer dereference in the function jp2_decode in libjasper/jp2/jp2_dec.c, leading to a denial of service. | 15 Oct |
| CVE-2019-12972 | 5.5 medium | 2.0% | gnu, opensuse, binutils, leap, ubuntu_linux | An issue was discovered in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.32. There is a heap-based buffer over-read in _bfd_doprnt in bfd.c because elf_object_p in elfcode.h mishandles an e_shstrndx section of type SHT_GROUP by omitting a trailing '\0' character. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2019-14250 | 5.5 medium | 2.0% | gnu, canonical, binutils, ubuntu_linux, leap | An issue was discovered in GNU libiberty, as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.32. simple_object_elf_match in simple-object-elf.c does not check for a zero shstrndx value, leading to an integer overflow and resultant heap-based buffer overflow. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2026-62420 | 9.9 critical | 1.0% | canonical, lxd | An authorization bypass vulnerability in LXD allows an authenticated attacker to bypass target project security restrictions during cross-project instance migrations. When moving an instance cross-project to a different cluster member via POST /1.0/instances/{name} with migration: true, project: <target>, and target: <member>, the destination node skips all project restriction checks because the request arrives as an internal cluster notification. An attacker can exploit this to introduce disallowed instance configurations into a restricted project. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-63293 | 9.9 critical | 1.0% | canonical, lxd | A link following vulnerability in LXD allows an attacker to achieve arbitrary file read and write operations on the host system. When importing or unpacking an image archive, LXD fails to validate whether the metadata.yaml file is a symbolic link. An attacker can exploit this flaw by providing a crafted image archive with a symlinked metadata.yaml file pointing to target file paths on the host system. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-63294 | 9.9 critical | 1.0% | canonical, lxd | A link following vulnerability in LXD allows an attacker to achieve root command execution on the host system. During the import or unpacking of crafted image or backup archives, LXD fails to properly validate and confine the backup.yaml file when it exists as a symbolic link. An attacker can exploit this flaw by providing a malicious archive with a symlinked backup.yaml file, causing LXD to process unconfined configuration metadata and execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-63298 | 9.9 critical | 1.0% | canonical, lxd | An improper neutralization of special elements vulnerability in LXD's NVIDIA instance configuration handling allows an authenticated attacker to inject arbitrary configuration directives. By supplying newline characters within the 'nvidia.driver.capabilities' or 'nvidia.require.*' configuration values, an attacker can manipulate the generated lxc.conf file. This flaw enables the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the host system with the privileges of the LXD daemon. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-63299 | 9.9 critical | 1.0% | canonical, lxd | An authorization bypass vulnerability in LXD allows an authenticated user to bypass project-level disk and volume limits. Two related code paths fail to verify resource limits during volume operations: the storagePoolVolumeTypePostMove function omits the limits.AllowVolumeCreation check before moving a volume across projects, and volume snapshot restore operations skip the AllowVolumeUpdate check when the configuration is nil (Config == nil). An attacker can exploit these flaws to allocate storage resources that exceed the administrative limits configured for a project. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-63300 | 9.9 critical | 1.0% | canonical, lxd | An improper validation vulnerability in the instancePostMigration function in lxd/instance_post.go of LXD allows an authenticated attacker with can_create_instances permissions on a restricted project to bypass project-level security restrictions. When migrating an instance between projects, LXD fails to validate the instance's configuration against the target project's enforced restrictions (such as restricted.containers.lowlevel, restricted.devices.*, and restricted.networks.access). An attacker can exploit this by creating a disallowed or high-privilege instance in an unrestricted project and subsequently moving it into the restricted project. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-66898 | 9.9 critical | 1.0% | canonical, lxd | A path traversal vulnerability in LXD allows an attacker to manipulate file system paths during backup import and restore operations. When importing or restoring a backup archive, LXD fails to validate instance and storage volume names contained within the archive metadata. An attacker can exploit this flaw by supplying a crafted backup archive with malicious instance or volume names containing path traversal sequences, potentially allowing file access or overwriting outside the designated restore directory. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-66897 | 9.9 critical | 1.0% | canonical, lxd | A path traversal vulnerability in LXD's instance template processing allows an attacker with container edit permissions, or any user launching a crafted image, to overwrite arbitrary files on the host system as root. When processing target template paths specified in metadata.yaml, LXD validates the path against a confined os.Root directory handle but subsequently opens and creates the file using os.Create with an unconfined string path. This discrepancy between path resolution checks and file creation allows an attacker to escape directory confinement, overwrite root-owned host files, and achieve host root code execution. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-68160 | 9.8 critical | 1.0% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: fix pre-auth out-of-bounds read on snaptrace in ceph_handle_caps() ceph_handle_caps() reads snap_trace_len from the wire-format ceph_mds_caps header and uses it unconditionally to build a fake end pointer (snaptrace + snaptrace_len) that is later handed to ceph_update_snap_trace() in the CEPH_CAP_OP_IMPORT case: snaptrace = h + 1; snaptrace_len = le32_to_cpu(h->snap_trace_len); p = snaptrace + snaptrace_len; ... case CEPH_CAP_OP_IMPORT: if (snaptrace_len) { ... if (ceph_update_snap_trace(mdsc, snaptrace, snaptrace + snaptrace_len, false, &realm)) { ... } ceph_update_snap_trace() then decodes a struct ceph_mds_snap_realm from snaptrace using ceph_decode_need(&p, e, sizeof(*ri), bad) with the attacker-supplied fake end e == snaptrace + snaptrace_len. With snaptrace_len == 0xFFFFFFFF the bound check is trivially satisfied, ri = p reads sizeof(struct ceph_mds_snap_realm) past the legitimate msg->front buffer, and ri->num_snaps / ri->num_prior_parent_snaps then drive further out-of-bounds reads of the encoded snap arrays. The eleven msg_version >= 2 .. msg_version >= 12 decoder blocks above the op switch each catch this OOB through their ceph_decode_*_safe() / ceph_decode_need() helpers, but they sit behind a hdr.version-gated if, so a malicious or compromised MDS that sets msg->hdr.version = 1 reaches the IMPORT path with no version-gated decoder having validated snap_trace_len. The shape has been present since ceph_handle_caps() was introduced. Validate snap_trace_len against the message front buffer before consuming it, using the canonical ceph_decode_need() / ceph_has_room() helper. The helper bounds the length with subtraction (n <= end - p, guarded by end >= p) rather than pointer addition, so it is wrap-safe for the attacker-controlled u32 length on 32-bit builds where p + snap_trace_len could overflow the address space. This matches the rest of the ceph decode path (e.g. the pool_ns_len check a few lines below), and the existing goto bad cleanup already covers this exit path. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-89656 | 9.8 critical | 1.0% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: reject buckets with mismatched CRUSH ids crush_decode() stores bucket data by array slot, and the mapper later derives the per-bucket workspace index from the decoded bucket id. A malformed map can therefore make one bucket reuse another bucket's workspace by encoding an id different from -1 - slot. For uniform buckets, the second replica selection expands the source bucket's permutation into that aliased workspace buffer. If the source bucket is larger than the aliased bucket, the write runs past the smaller permutation array and can escape the kvmalloc'd CRUSH workspace. KASAN reports a slab OOB write of 4 bytes in bucket_perm_choose(). Reject buckets whose encoded id does not match their array slot. Valid CRUSH maps already use the canonical negative id corresponding to the bucket slot, so this restores the invariant expected by work->work[-1 - in->id] without changing valid map behavior. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-80630 | 9.8 critical | 1.0% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: sch_fq_codel: Do not call qdisc_tree_reduce_backlog during peek before restoring qlen Whenever fq_codel drops packets during peek, it calls qdisc_tree_reduce_backlog. An issue arises because it calls qdisc_tree_reduce_backlog before it reincrements the qlen. | CVE-2026-64320 | 9.1 critical | 1.0% | linux, linux_kernel | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet: fix pre-auth out-of-bounds heap read in Discovery Get Log Page nvmet_execute_disc_get_log_page() validates only the dword alignment of the host-supplied Log Page Offset (lpo). The 64-bit offset is then added to a small kzalloc'd buffer that holds the discovery log page and the result is passed straight to nvmet_copy_to_sgl(), which memcpy()s data_len bytes out to the host with no source-side bound check: u64 offset = nvmet_get_log_page_offset(req->cmd); /* 64-bit host */ size_t data_len = nvmet_get_log_page_len(req->cmd); /* 32-bit host */ ... if (offset & 0x3) { ... } /* only check */ ... alloc_len = sizeof(*hdr) + entry_size * discovery_log_entries(req); buffer = kzalloc(alloc_len, GFP_KERNEL); ... status = nvmet_copy_to_sgl(req, 0, buffer + offset, data_len); The Discovery controller is unauthenticated -- nvmet_host_allowed() returns true unconditionally for the discovery subsystem -- so the call is reachable pre-authentication by any TCP/RDMA/FC peer that can reach the nvmet target. With a discovery log page of ~1 KiB, an attacker requesting up to 4 KiB starting at offset == alloc_len reads the next slab page out and gets its content returned over the fabric (an empirical run on a default nvmet-tcp loopback target leaked 81 canonical kernel pointers in one Get Log Page response). Pointing the offset at unmapped kernel memory faults the in-kernel memcpy and crashes (or panics, on panic_on_oops=1) the target host instead. The attacker-controlled source-side offset pattern "nvmet_copy_to_sgl(req, 0, buffer + ATTACKER_OFFSET, ...)" is unique to nvmet_execute_disc_get_log_page in the entire nvmet codebase: every other Get Log Page handler in admin-cmd.c either ignores lpo (and silently starts every response at offset 0) or tracks a local destination offset with a fixed source pointer. Validate the host-supplied offset against the log page size, cap the copy length to what is actually available, and zero-fill any remainder of the host transfer buffer. The zero-fill matches the existing short-response pattern in nvmet_execute_get_log_changed_ns() (admin-cmd.c) and prevents leaking transport SGL contents when the host asks for more bytes than the log page contains. | 21 Oct |
| CVE-2026-72533 | 8.8 high | 1.0% | no CPE yet | An authentication bypass vulnerability in Portainer CE through 2.44.0 allows authenticated low-privileged users to bypass Docker proxy authorization checks via non-canonical URL normalization, defeating all authorization middleware. The proxy endpoint fails to normalize request paths before applying access controls, allowing crafted requests to be interpreted differently by the proxy and the authorization layer. Successful exploitation grants the attacker root-level access to the underlying Docker host. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-72160 | 8.8 high | 1.0% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: reject dinodes with non-canonical i_mode type Patch series "ocfs2: harden inode validators against forged metadata", v2. This series adds three structural checks to OCFS2 dinode validation so malformed on-disk fields are rejected before ocfs2_populate_inode() copies them into the in-core inode. The checks cover: - i_mode values whose type bits do not name a canonical POSIX file type; - non-device dinodes whose id1.dev1.i_rdev field is non-zero; and - non-inline dinodes that claim non-zero i_size while i_clusters is zero, covering directories unconditionally and regular files on non-sparse volumes. The normal read path reports these through ocfs2_error(), matching the existing suballoc-slot, inline-data, chain-list, and refcount checks. The online filecheck path uses the same structural predicates but keeps its own reporting contract, returning OCFS2_FILECHECK_ERR_INVALIDINO instead of calling ocfs2_error(). This patch (of 3): ocfs2_validate_inode_block() currently accepts any non-zero i_mode value. ocfs2_populate_inode() then copies that mode verbatim into inode->i_mode and dispatches on i_mode & S_IFMT to the file/dir/symlink/special_file iops; an unrecognised type falls through to ocfs2_special_file_iops and init_special_inode(). Reject dinodes whose type bits do not name one of the seven canonical POSIX file types. Use fs_umode_to_ftype(), the same generic file-type conversion helper OCFS2 already uses for directory entries, so the accepted inode type set matches the kernel file-type vocabulary instead of open-coding a local switch. Apply the same structural check to the online filecheck read path. filecheck keeps its own error namespace, so it reports malformed i_mode through the filecheck logger and OCFS2_FILECHECK_ERR_INVALIDINO instead of calling ocfs2_error(), but it must not allow a malformed dinode to proceed into ocfs2_populate_inode(). | 16 Oct |
| CVE-2026-52736 | 8.7 high | 1.0% | no CPE yet | ZEBRA is a Zcash node written entirely in Rust. Prior to 4.5.0, a remote unauthenticated P2P peer can stall a Zebra node by racing an invalid block body against the valid canonical body for the same block header hash. ZIP-244 permits the attacker to mutate coinbase scriptSig authentication data while retaining the transaction identifiers, merkle root, and block header hash, so the poisoned body fails later commitment validation but shares the canonical hash. In zebra-state/src/service.rs, queue_and_commit_to_non_finalized_state recorded the hash in non_finalized_block_write_sent_hashes before contextual validation completed and did not remove it when the write task rejected the body. When the honest body later arrived, the cached hash caused KnownBlock::WriteChannel duplicate handling to suppress it, leaving the node stuck one height behind until restart or reorganization. This issue is fixed in version 4.5.0. | 22 Oct |
| CVE-2026-35025 | 8.6 high | 1.0% | proftpd | ProFTPD through 1.3.9b and 1.3.10rc2 contains an access control bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated FTP users to circumvent Directory ACL restrictions by prefixing paths with /proc/self/root in the RNFR command handler. Attackers can exploit the unresolved symlink components in dir_canonical_path() to cause dir_check() to perform lexical path comparisons that match no configured Directory block, enabling rename operations on files in DenyAll-protected directories and subsequent retrieval of those files. Mitigation: Sessions configured with DefaultRoot (chroot) are not affected, as chroot changes the directory to which /proc/self/root resolves. | Sun 25 Oct |
| CVE-2026-49238 | 8.4 high | 1.0% | canonical, multipass | An issue was discovered in Canonical Multipass before version 1.16.3. The host-side SFTP server component (sshfs_server), which executes with root privileges on the host, contains a path containment bypass vulnerability within its validate_path function in src/sshfs_mount/sftp_server.cpp. The function performs a plain string prefix comparison on requested paths without path separator validation or dot-dot (..) normalization. A local attacker with root privileges inside a guest virtual machine can bypass the FUSE layer by injecting raw SFTP frames (such as an SSH_FXP_OPEN request) directly into the sshfs_server process stdin/stdout pipes via procfs. By supplying a path containing directory traversal sequences that match the allowed mount prefix, the attacker can force the host-side root process to resolve the traversal and open files outside the designated mount boundary. This allows a guest-side user to read arbitrary files on the host filesystem, resulting in a virtual machine escape. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2026-78381 | 8.2 high | 1.0% | no CPE yet | RansomLook contains a path traversal vulnerability in the handling of the screen field associated with group posts. The GroupPost.get API handler concatenates the database-controlled screen value directly with the application's source/ directory and opens the resulting path without verifying that the resolved file remains within the intended directory. Because the screen field is free-form and can be populated either through the administrative post editor or through data imported from a remote RansomLook instance, a malicious upstream instance can provide traversal sequences such as ../config/generic.json. When the affected post is subsequently retrieved through the API, RansomLook resolves and reads the attacker-controlled path and returns the contents of the referenced file Base64-encoded in the API response. This can allow an attacker (being admin) controlling imported post data to read arbitrary files accessible to the RansomLook process, potentially exposing sensitive configuration data, API credentials, password hashes, or other application secrets. The attack does not require the malicious upstream to possess an account on the affected RansomLook instance. The vulnerability is addressed by resolving screen paths with os.path.realpath() and verifying that the resolved path remains beneath the application's source/ directory. Validation is performed both when values are written and immediately before files are read. Using canonical paths also prevents traversal through symbolic links that would bypass purely lexical path normalization checks. | 14 Oct |

| CVE-2026-33895 | 7.5 high | 1.0% | digitalbazaar, forge | Forge (also called `node-forge`) is a native implementation of Transport Layer Security in JavaScript. Prior to version 1.4.0, Ed25519 signature verification accepts forged non-canonical signatures where the scalar S is not reduced modulo the group order (`S >= L`). A valid signature and its `S + L` variant both verify in forge, while Node.js `crypto.verify` (OpenSSL-backed) rejects the `S + L` variant, as defined by the specification. This class of signature malleability has been exploited in practice to bypass authentication and authorization logic (see CVE-2026-25793, CVE-2022-35961). Applications relying on signature uniqueness (i.e., dedup by signature bytes, replay tracking, signed-object canonicalization checks) may be bypassed. Version 1.4.0 patches the issue. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-27779 | 7.5 high | 1.0% | no CPE yet | Gitea versions before 1.25.5 accept malformed or injected forwarded-proto values when detecting public URLs, allowing spoofed canonical URL generation. | Sun 25 Oct |
| CVE-2026-59954 | 7.5 high | 1.0% | no CPE yet | Apollo is a reliable configuration management system suitable for microservice configuration management scenarios. Prior to 2.5.2, Apollo ConfigService may allow unauthorized access to configuration data when AccessKey or management key authentication is enabled because ConfigService can accept a non-canonical appId variant during authentication while downstream request handling resolves it to the protected app, including accent variants under accent-insensitive collations or trailing-space variants under PAD SPACE collations on /configs and /configfiles endpoints. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.2. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-52829 | 7.5 high | 1.0% | no CPE yet | ZEBRA is a Zcash node written entirely in Rust. Prior to 4.5.0, an unauthenticated IPv4 peer can deterministically terminate a synced Zebra node using the default Linux dual-stack listener configuration. The handshake path canonicalized an IPv4-mapped IPv6 PeerSocketAddr such as ::ffff:127.0.0.1 to plain IPv4 before storing it through MetaAddr::new_connected, but the mempool misbehavior path forwarded the raw transient address to MetaAddrChange::UpdateMisbehavior. In zebra-network/src/meta_addr.rs, apply_to_meta_addr then compared the canonical address-book entry with the raw update address and reached its unexpected address mismatch assertion. After the misbehavior batch flush, panic equals abort terminated zebrad; the peer only needed to complete a P2P handshake and advertise an invalid mempool transaction. This issue is fixed in version 4.5.0. | 22 Oct |

To fix the variant, we need to set either .sysctl_wmem_offset or .sysctl_rmem. Now UDP and UDPLITE share the same value for .memory_allocated, so we use the same .sysctl_wmem_offset for UDP and UDPLITE.
