CVE-2026-80692 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: hold conn in hci_connect_acl/le_sync() callbacks There is theoretical UAF if the conn is freed while the hci_sync task is running. Hold refcount to avoid that. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-74533 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: fix race of kfree vs kref_get_unless_zero hci_conn::iso_data is accessed and modified without lock or RCU. This leads to a race [Task hdev->workqueue] [Task 2] iso_recv iso_conn_put(conn) conn = LOAD hcon->iso_data iso_conn_free(conn) iso_conn_hold_unless_zero(conn) hcon->iso_data = NULL kfree(conn) kref_get_unless_zero(&conn->ref) /* UAF */ and also to races in iso_conn_add() vs. iso_conn_free(). Fix by adding spinlock hci_conn::proto_lock and using it to guard hci_conn::iso_data. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-74530 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: hold conn in hci_connect_big_sync() callback There is theoretical UAF if the conn is freed while the hci_sync task is running. Hold refcount to avoid that. Handle NULL hcon, return 0 + do nothing to match the previous behavior. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-68393 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: extend conn_hash lookup critical sections Using RCU-protected pointers outside the critical sections without refcount is incorrect and may result to UAF. Extend critical section to cover both hci_conn_hash lookup and use of the returned conn. Add surrounding rcu_read_lock() also when return value is not used, in preparation for RCU lockdep requirement to hci_lookup_le_connect(). This avoids concurrent deletion of the conn before we are done dereferencing it. Also, make sure to hold hdev->lock when accessing hdev->accept_list. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-63974 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: Set HCI_CMD_DRAIN_WORKQUEUE during device close Since hci_dev_close_sync() can now be called during the reset path, we should also set HCI_CMD_DRAIN_WORKQUEUE. This avoids queuing timeouts while the hdev workqueue is being drained. 21 Oct

CVE-2026-64408 8.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: bnep: pin L2CAP connection during netdev registration bnep_add_connection() reads the L2CAP connection without holding the channel lock, then passes its HCI device to register_netdev(). Controller teardown can clear and release that connection concurrently, leaving the network device registration path to dereference a freed parent device. Take a reference to the L2CAP connection while holding the channel lock. Retain it until register_netdev() has taken the parent device reference. 19 Oct

CVE-2026-53072 8.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: fix locking in hci_conn_request_evt() with HCI_PROTO_DEFER When protocol sets HCI_PROTO_DEFER, hci_conn_request_evt() calls hci_connect_cfm(conn) without hdev->lock. Generally hci_connect_cfm() assumes it is held, and if conn is deleted concurrently -> UAF. Only SCO and ISO set HCI_PROTO_DEFER and only for defer setup listen, and HCI_EV_CONN_REQUEST is not generated for ISO. In the non-deferred listening socket code paths, hci_connect_cfm(conn) is called with hdev->lock held. Fix by holding the lock. 19 Oct

CVE-2026-23461 8.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix use-after-free in l2cap_unregister_user After commit ab4eedb790ca ("Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix corrupted list in hci_chan_del"), l2cap_conn_del() uses conn->lock to protect access to conn->users. However, l2cap_register_user() and l2cap_unregister_user() don't use conn->lock, creating a race condition where these functions can access conn->users and conn->hchan concurrently with l2cap_conn_del(). This can lead to use-after-free and list corruption bugs, as reported by syzbot. Fix this by changing l2cap_register_user() and l2cap_unregister_user() to use conn->lock instead of hci_dev_lock(), ensuring consistent locking for the l2cap_conn structure. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-90255 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_conn: fix the SCO setup context lifetime hci_setup_sync() queues a conn_handle_t with a NULL destroy callback, so the context is only freed if hci_enhanced_setup_sync() actually runs. An entry that is cancelled instead is leaked, as _hci_cmd_sync_cancel_entry() does not release entry->data when there is no destroy callback, and hci_cmd_sync_clear() cancels every pending entry when the controller is unregistered. The context also stores a bare hci_conn pointer, so the connection can be freed while the work is queued. The dequeue in hci_conn_del() does not cover it either, as it matches on entry->data == conn and entry->data is the wrapper here. Same problem as commit 2f5d635ad590 ("Bluetooth: hci_sync: hold conn in hci_connect_acl/le_sync() callbacks"). Hold the connection and release both from a destroy callback. The submission failure path drops both, since hci_cmd_sync_submit() does not call the destroy callback when it fails to queue. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-89569 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: serialize security confirmation handling rfcomm_security_cfm() looks up a session on session_list and then walks its DLC list without holding rfcomm_mutex. Since RFCOMM session teardown uses rfcomm_mutex, krfcommd can close and free the same session and DLCs concurrently: hci_rx_work krfcommd ----------- --------- rfcomm_session_get() rfcomm_lock() rfcomm_session_close() rfcomm_dlc_unlink() rfcomm_session_del() kfree(s) rfcomm_unlock() walk s->dlcs The callback can then read a freed session list head and touch freed DLCs while updating their flags or timers. Serialize the session lookup and DLC traversal in rfcomm_security_cfm() with rfcomm_mutex. This matches the existing RFCOMM session lifetime rules and prevents concurrent rfcomm_session_del() / rfcomm_dlc_unlink() from tearing the objects down while the callback is using them. CVE-2026-80683 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: SCO: give the socket its own sco_conn reference sco_conn_del() drops a reference it does not own. It takes one transient reference via sco_conn_hold_unless_zero() and releases it with the sco_conn_put() that follows sco_sock_hold(); the additional put in the !sk branch releases a second one: conn = sco_conn_hold_unless_zero(conn); ... sk = sco_sock_hold(conn); sco_conn_unlock(conn); sco_conn_put(conn); if (!sk) { sco_conn_put(conn); return; } When close() races the controller's Disconnection Complete, sco_chan_del() clears conn->sk and drops the socket's reference while sco_conn_del() is running. sco_conn_del() then sees sk == NULL, its own put drops the count to zero and frees the conn, and the second put writes to the freed kref: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in sco_conn_put.part.0+0x1a/0x190 Write of size 4 at addr ffff8881099dec74 by task kworker/u17:3/413 Workqueue: hci1 hci_rx_work Call Trace: sco_conn_put.part.0+0x1a/0x190 hci_disconn_complete_evt+0x1ee/0x3e0 hci_event_packet+0x54a/0x650 hci_rx_work+0x321/0x3d0 Allocated by task 413: sco_conn_add+0x72/0x1a0 sco_connect_cfm+0x88/0x670 Freed by task 413: sco_conn_del.isra.0+0x3f/0xf0 hci_disconn_complete_evt+0x1ee/0x3e0 refcount_t: underflow; use-after-free. The root cause is that the socket stores the connection without holding a reference of its own. __sco_chan_add() does: sco_pi(sk)->conn = conn; so the socket borrows whatever reference its caller happened to hold, and the callers paper over that with ad-hoc holds and puts. Give the socket a counted reference instead: __sco_chan_add() takes one and it is released together with the channel (sco_chan_del()) and in sco_sock_destruct(). With the socket holding its own reference, sco_conn_del() no longer needs the extra put and the redundant hold in sco_conn_ready() goes away. Making the socket own its reference means the connection is now actually freed on the error paths of sco_connect() where it used to leak, which in turn runs sco_conn_free() and its hci_conn_drop(conn->hcon). To keep the hci_conn accounting balanced, make that ownership explicit as well: sco_conn_add() consumes one hci_conn reference and the sco_conn owns it for its lifetime. sco_connect() hands over the reference returned by hci_connect_sco() and no longer drops it on the error paths; sco_connect_cfm(), which is not given a reference, takes one with hci_conn_hold() before handing it to sco_conn_add() (and drops it again if the allocation fails); and the explicit hci_conn_hold() in sco_conn_ready() is removed. Every reference then has a single, clear owner. 16 Oct

CVE-2026-74508 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: HIDP: reject frames without a transaction header hidp_recv_ctrl_frame() and hidp_recv_intr_frame() read skb->data[0] before checking that the L2CAP SDU contains a transaction header. A connected HIDP peer can send an empty basic-mode SDU and make both paths use an uninitialized byte from skb tailroom. KMSAN reports the use in hidp_session_run(), with the uninitialized value originating in __alloc_skb() through vhci_write(). The control path produces two reports and the interrupt path produces one. The byte can also be controlled by a malformed lower-layer packet. If an HCI ACL packet contains an L2CAP PDU with a declared zero-length payload followed by an extra 0x15 byte, l2cap_recv_acldata() reduces skb->len to the declared PDU length before dispatch. The current HIDP path nevertheless consumes the extra byte as HIDP_TRANS_HID_CONTROL | HIDP_CTRL_VIRTUAL_CABLE_UNPLUG and terminates the HIDP session. With this change, the same packet is discarded and a subsequent feature report request succeeds. Pull the transaction header with skb_pull_data() and discard frames that do not contain it. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-74300 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci: validate codec capability element length Read Local Codec Capabilities returns a sequence of capability elements. Each element starts with a one-byte length followed by that many payload bytes. hci_read_codec_capabilities() checks that the skb contains the length byte, but then validates only caps->len against the remaining skb length. A malformed controller response with one remaining byte and caps->len set to one passes that check even though the element needs two bytes. The parser then records a two-byte capability and copies one byte beyond the advertised response payload into the codec list. Validate the full element size, including the length byte, before adding it to the accumulated capability length. This preserves all well-formed capability elements and drops only truncated controller responses. 16 Oct
CVE-2025-68304 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_core: lookup hci_conn on RX path on protocol side The hdev lock/lookup/unlock/use pattern in the packet RX path doesn't ensure hci_conn* is not concurrently modified/deleted. This locking appears to be leftover from before conn_hash started using RCU commit bf4c63252490b ("Bluetooth: convert conn hash to RCU") and not clear if it had purpose since then. Currently, there are code paths that delete hci_conn* from elsewhere than the ordered hdev->workqueue where the RX work runs in. E.g. commit 5af1f84ed13a ("Bluetooth: hci_sync: Fix UAF on hci_abort_conn_sync") introduced some of these, and there probably were a few others before it. It's better to do the locking so that even if these run concurrently no UAF is possible. Move the lookup of hci_conn and associated socket-specific conn to protocol recv handlers, and do them within a single critical section to cover hci_conn* usage and lookup. syzkaller has reported a crash that appears to be this issue: [Task hdev->workqueue] [Task 2] hci_disconnect_all_sync l2cap_recv_acldata(hcon) hci_conn_get(hcon) hci_abort_conn_sync(hcon) hci_dev_lock hci_dev_lock hci_conn_del(hcon) v-------------------------------- hci_dev_unlock hci_conn_put(hcon) conn = hcon->l2cap_data (UAF) 15 Oct
CVE-2025-40318 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: fix race in hci_cmd_sync_dequeue_once hci_cmd_sync_dequeue_once() does lookup and then cancel the entry under two separate lock sections. Meanwhile, hci_cmd_sync_work() can also delete the same entry, leading to double list_del() and "UAF". Fix this by holding cmd_sync_work_lock across both lookup and cancel, so that the entry cannot be removed concurrently. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-9263 8.1 high 0.00% zephyrproject, zephyr The Zephyr Bluetooth controller ISO Adaptation Layer (subsys/bluetooth/controller/ll_sw/isoal.c) fails to validate the length field of a framed ISO PDU start segment. Per the Bluetooth specification a start segment (sc=0) always carries a 3-byte time_offset, so its segment-header len must be at least PDU_ISO_SEG_TIMEOFFSET_SIZE (3). isoal_check_seg_header() accepted start segments with len < 3 as valid, and isoal_rx_framed_consume() then computed length = seg_hdr->len - 3 in a uint8_t, underflowing to 253-255 when len is 0-2. That oversized length is passed to isoal_rx_append_to_sdu(), whose copy is clamped only against the destination SDU buffer size, not the source PDU length, so up to ~255 bytes of controller memory beyond the received PDU are copied (via sink_sdu_write_hci()/net_buf_add_mem) into an HCI ISO data packet and delivered to the host. The PDU and its segment headers are entirely attacker-controlled and arrive over the air, reachable through both the CIS and BIS-sync HCI data paths (hci_driver.c) and the vendor data path (ull_iso.c), so a remote CIS peer or a broadcaster the device is synced to can trigger an out-of-bounds read causing information disclosure to the host and potential denial of service (faults or malformed oversized HCI ISO packets). The flaw affects all Zephyr releases since framed ISO reception was introduced in v3.0.0. The fix rejects sc=0 segments with len < 3 in isoal_check_seg_header() and adds a guard before the subtraction in isoal_rx_framed_consume(). Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-31771 8.1 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_event: move wake reason storage into validated event handlers hci_store_wake_reason() is called from hci_event_packet() immediately after stripping the HCI event header but before hci_event_func() enforces the per-event minimum payload length from hci_ev_table. This means a short HCI event frame can reach bacpy() before any bounds check runs. Rather than duplicating skb parsing and per-event length checks inside hci_store_wake_reason(), move wake-address storage into the individual event handlers after their existing event-length validation has succeeded. Convert hci_store_wake_reason() into a small helper that only stores an already-validated bdaddr while the caller holds hci_dev_lock(). Use the same helper after hci_event_func() with a NULL address to preserve the existing unexpected-wake fallback semantics when no validated event handler records a wake address. Annotate the helper with __must_hold(&hdev->lock) and add lockdep_assert_held(&hdev->lock) so future call paths keep the lock contract explicit. Call the helper from hci_conn_request_evt(), hci_conn_complete_evt(), hci_sync_conn_complete_evt(), le_conn_complete_evt(), hci_le_adv_report_evt(), hci_le_ext_adv_report_evt(), hci_le_direct_adv_report_evt(), hci_le_pa_sync_established_evt(), and hci_le_past_received_evt(). 21 Oct
CVE-2026-46138 8.1 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_event: Fix OOB read and infinite loop in hci_le_create_big_complete_evt hci_le_create_big_complete_evt() iterates over BT_BOUND connections for a BIG handle using a while loop, accessing ev->bis_handle[i++] on each iteration. However, there is no check that i stays within ev->num_bis before the array access. When a controller sends a LE_Create_BIG_Complete event with fewer bis_handle entries than there are BT_BOUND connections for that BIG, or with num_bis=0, the loop reads beyond the valid bis_handle[] flex array into adjacent heap memory. Since the out-of-bounds values typically exceed HCI_CONN_HANDLE_MAX (0x0EFF), hci_conn_set_handle() rejects them and the connection remains in BT_BOUND state. The same connection is then found again by hci_conn_hash_lookup_big_state(), creating an infinite loop with hci_dev_lock held. Fix this by terminating the BIG if in case not all BIS could be setup properly. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-89583 8.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: eir: Fix OOB read in eir_get_service_data() eir_get_service_data() walks the advertising data for a Service Data field with a matching UUID. On a mismatch it advances: eir += dlen; eir_len -= dlen; eir_get_data() reports dlen as the field's data length, but the field spans dlen + 2 bytes once its length and type bytes count, and more when non-Service-Data fields were skipped to reach it. The pointer lands correctly on the next field. eir_len does not, and the shortfall compounds across fields until eir_get_data() reads the length and type bytes of a "field" past the end of the buffer. For an ISO broadcast sink that buffer is hcon->le_per_adv_data[], filled from the periodic advertising reports of a remote broadcaster. A PA payload packed with mismatching Service Data fields walks off the array into the rest of struct hci_conn. A drifted field that matches the BAA UUID puts those bytes in iso_pi(sk)->base, where user space reads them back with getsockopt(BT_ISO_BASE). Recompute eir_len from the end of the buffer each iteration. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-68085 8.0 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_uart: clear HCI_UART_SENDING when write_work is canceled HCI_UART_SENDING bit in tx_state means write_work is pending and blocks queueing it again. Currently this bit is not cleared when canceling the work in hci_uart_close(), which blocks future writes when device is reopened later if write_work was pending. Fix by clearing HCI_UART_SENDING when canceling the work. Also make clearing of tx_skb safe by using disable_work_sync + enable_work instead of just cancel_work_sync. hci_uart_flush() purges the proto tx queue so we can cancel the pending write_work there, instead of doing it just in hci_uart_close(). Re-enable and possibly requeue the work after queue flush. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-53357 8.0 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: fix UAF in l2cap_sock_cleanup_listen() vs l2cap_conn_del() bt_accept_dequeue() unlinks a not-yet-accepted child from the parent accept queue and release_sock()s it before returning, so the returned sk has no caller reference and is unlocked. l2cap_sock_cleanup_listen() walks these children on listening-socket close. A concurrent HCI disconnect drives hci_rx_work -> l2cap_conn_del() which runs l2cap_chan_del() + l2cap_sock_kill() and frees the child sk and its l2cap_chan; cleanup_listen() then uses both: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in l2cap_sock_kill l2cap_sock_kill / l2cap_sock_cleanup_listen / __x64_sys_close Freed by: l2cap_conn_del -> l2cap_sock_close_cb -> l2cap_sock_kill This is distinct from the two fixes already in this area: commit e83f5e24da741 ("Bluetooth: serialize accept_q access") serialises the accept_q list/poll and takes temporary refs inside bt_accept_dequeue(), and CVE-2025-39860 serialises the userspace close()/accept() race by calling cleanup_listen() under lock_sock() in l2cap_sock_release(). Neither covers l2cap_conn_del() running from hci_rx_work, so this UAF still reproduces on current bluetooth/master. Take the reference at the source: bt_accept_dequeue() does sock_hold() while sk is still locked, before release_sock(); callers sock_put(). cleanup_listen() pins the chan with l2cap_chan_hold_unless_zero() under a brief child sk lock (serialising vs l2cap_sock_teardown_cb()), drops it before l2cap_chan_lock(), and skips a duplicate l2cap_sock_kill() on SOCK_DEAD. conn->lock is not taken here: cleanup_listen() runs under the parent sk lock and that would invert conn->lock -> chan->lock -> sk_lock (lockdep). KASAN/SMP: an unprivileged listen/close vs HCI-disconnect race produced 12 use-after-free reports per run before this change; 0, and no lockdep report, over 1600+ raced iterations after it on bluetooth/master. 19 Oct

CVE-2023-54164 8.0 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: fix iso_conn related locking and validity issues sk->sk_state indicates whether iso_pi(sk)->conn is valid. Operations that check/update sk_state and access conn should hold lock_sock, otherwise they can race. The order of taking locks is hci_dev_lock > lock_sock > iso_conn_lock, which is how it is in connect/disconnect_cfm -> iso_conn_del -> iso_chan_del. Fix locking in iso_connect_cis/bis and sendmsg/recvmsg to take lock_sock around updating sk_state and conn. iso_conn_del must not occur during iso_connect_cis/bis, as it frees the iso_conn. Hold hdev->lock longer to prevent that. This should not reintroduce the issue fixed in commit 241f51931c35 ("Bluetooth: ISO: Avoid circular locking dependency"), since the we acquire locks in order. We retain the fix in iso_sock_connect to release lock_sock before iso_connect_* acquires hdev->lock. Similarly for commit 6a5ad251b7cd ("Bluetooth: ISO: Fix possible circular locking dependency"). We retain the fix in iso_conn_ready to not acquire iso_conn_lock before lock_sock. iso_conn_add shall return iso_conn with valid hcon. Make it so also when reusing an old CIS connection waiting for disconnect timeout (see __iso_sock_close where conn->hcon is set to NULL). CVE-2023-54210 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: Avoid use-after-free in dbg for hci_remove_adv_monitor() KASAN reports that there's a use-after-free in hci_remove_adv_monitor(). Trawling through the disassembly, you can see that the complaint is from the access in bt_dev_dbg() under the HCI_ADV_MONITOR_EXT_MSFT case. The problem case happens because msft_remove_monitor() can end up freeing the monitor structure. Specifically: hci_remove_adv_monitor() -> msft_remove_monitor() -> msft_remove_monitor_sync() -> msft_le_cancel_monitor_advertisement_cb() -> hci_free_adv_monitor() Let's fix the problem by just stashing the relevant data when it's still valid. CVE-2026-99014 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: Fix command skb lifetime during scan setup During PA sync scan setup, hci_le_set_ext_scan_param_sync() gets the address used for the PA_LINK lookup from hci_sent_cmd_data(). The returned pointer borrows storage from sent_cmd or req_skb, without holding a reference to either skb. The scan worker runs on req_workqueue while hci_cmd_work() runs on the separate device workqueue. After the scan worker loads sent_cmd, the command worker can free and replace it before hci_sent_cmd_data() dereferences the skb. The command payload can also be freed between returning from the helper and comparing the address. The connection lookup's RCU critical section does not protect the command skb. Release the mutex before sending or waiting for commands, preserving the lookup and completion ordering. 24 Oct
CVE-2026-99013 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: Reject concurrent BIS listener setup iso_sock_listen() drops the socket lock before calling iso_listen_bis() to preserve the hdev->lock ordering. Two concurrent listen() calls on the same broadcast socket can therefore both observe BT_BOUND. Caller A can attach connA and release the locks, then caller B can acquire them and attach connB before A publishes BT_LISTEN. __iso_chan_add() checks whether connB already has a socket, but not whether the socket already has a connection. The second attachment overwrites iso_pi(sk)->conn, leaking the connA reference and leaving connA->sk intact. Socket teardown follows connB, so later events on connA can cause a stale socket access. Recheck BT_BOUND and require iso_pi(sk)->conn to be NULL after taking both the HCI device and socket locks in iso_listen_bis(). The connection check also covers the interval between attachment and publication of BT_LISTEN. Reject a competing setup with -EBADFD through the existing unlock path before allocating another connection. CVE-2026-99012 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: Serialize concurrent connect calls iso_sock_connect() checks the socket state before taking the socket lock and drops the lock again before setting up a connection. Two callers can both pass the admission check while the socket is open or bound. Caller A can copy its destination for route selection, then caller B can replace the socket destination before A binds or connects the CIS. A then uses B's destination with the route selected for its own request. B can also proceed after A attaches a connection and sets BT_CONNECT. For deferred BIS setup, B can bind a second BIS and overwrite iso_pi(sk)->conn, leaving the first connection's reference and conn->sk back-pointer stranded. Concurrent CIS connects can likewise replace the socket's connection. Later teardown only detaches the current connection, so a callback on the old connection can race with socket release and access a freed socket. KASAN reported: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in iso_sock_hold+0xf7/0x1b0 Call Trace: iso_sock_hold+0xf7/0x1b0 iso_conn_del+0x7b/0x1d0 iso_connect_cfm+0x186/0x16a0 hci_conn_failed+0x154/0x280 hci_abort_conn_sync+0x3dc/0x7d0 hci_cmd_sync_work+0x173/0x300 Allocated by task 121: sk_alloc+0x2b/0x6d0 bt_sock_alloc+0x29/0x370 iso_sock_alloc.constprop.0+0x19/0x300 iso_sock_create+0x94/0x100 Freed by task 121: kfree+0x121/0x3c0 __sk_destruct+0x42b/0x540 iso_sock_release+0x29d/0x340 __sock_release+0xa1/0x260 Check admission under the socket lock and mark the connect operation in progress before publishing its destination. Keep that flag set across route lookup and connection setup, rejecting another connect with -EBADFD before it can change the destination or attach a connection. Clear the flag after either helper returns, including on failure, so a failed setup can be retried. A separate flag is needed because the socket lock must be released before acquiring the HCI device lock, while BT_CONNECT requires an attached connection. Keep the existing state transitions and the deferred CIS completion through iso_sock_recvmsg(). Reject an existing socket attachment in __iso_chan_add() before taking a new reference or publishing either pointer, so every caller preserves the connection association. Keep the same-socket, same-connection success case for deferred CIS setup. Reject an attached socket before BIS setup so a reusable BIS is not claimed before the attachment is rejected. In CIS setup, reject a different HCI connection before iso_conn_add() and drop the per-attempt HCI hold directly. An unowned iso_conn may still carry another reference after detachment, so its destruction cannot be relied on to release that hold. iso_listen_bis() creates a fresh PA HCI/ISO pair under the device lock, so the temporary iso_conn_put() frees the ISO candidate and drops its HCI hold on rejection. iso_conn_ready() uses a freshly allocated, unpublished child with no connection, making the socket-side rejection unreachable. 24 Oct
CVE-2026-43353 7.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i3c: mipi-i3c-hci: Fix race in DMA ring dequeue The HCI DMA dequeue path (hci_dma_dequeue_xfer()) may be invoked for multiple transfers that timeout around the same time. However, the function is not serialized and can race with itself. When a timeout occurs, hci_dma_dequeue_xfer() stops the ring, processes incomplete transfers, and then restarts the ring. If another timeout triggers a parallel call into the same function, the two instances may interfere with each other - stopping or restarting the ring at unexpected times. Add a mutex so that hci_dma_dequeue_xfer() is serialized with respect to itself. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-43352 7.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i3c: mipi-i3c-hci: Correct RING_CTRL_ABORT handling in DMA dequeue The logic used to abort the DMA ring contains several flaws: 1. The driver unconditionally issues a ring abort even when the ring has already stopped. 2. The completion used to wait for abort completion is never re-initialized, resulting in incorrect wait behavior. 3. The abort sequence unintentionally clears RING_CTRL_ENABLE, which resets hardware ring pointers and disrupts the controller state. 4. If the ring is already stopped, the abort operation should be considered successful without attempting further action. Fix the abort handling by checking whether the ring is running before issuing an abort, re-initializing the completion when needed, ensuring that RING_CTRL_ENABLE remains asserted during abort, and treating an already stopped ring as a successful condition. 21 Oct

CVE-2025-39788 7.8 high 0.00% linux, debian, linux_kernel, debian_linux In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: ufs: exynos: Fix programming of HCI_UTRL_NEXUS_TYPE On Google gs101, the number of UTP transfer request slots (nutrs) is 32, and in this case the driver ends up programming the UTRL_NEXUS_TYPE incorrectly as 0. This is because the left hand side of the shift is 1, which is of type int, i.e. 31 bits wide. Shifting by more than that width results in undefined behaviour. Fix this by switching to the BIT() macro, which applies correct type casting as required. This ensures the correct value is written to UTRL_NEXUS_TYPE (0xffffffff on gs101), and it also fixes a UBSAN shift warning: UBSAN: shift-out-of-bounds in drivers/ufs/host/ufs-exynos.c:1113:21 shift exponent 32 is too large for 32-bit type 'int' For consistency, apply the same change to the nutmrs / UTMRL_NEXUS_TYPE write. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-39861 7.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: vhci: Prevent use-after-free by removing debugfs files early Move the creation of debugfs files into a dedicated function, and ensure they are explicitly removed during vhci_release(), before associated data structures are freed. Previously, debugfs files such as "force_suspend", "force_wakeup", and others were created under hdev->debugfs but not removed in vhci_release(). Since vhci_release() frees the backing vhci_data structure, any access to these files after release would result in use-after-free errors. Although hdev->debugfs is later freed in hci_release_dev(), user can access files after vhci_data is freed but before hdev->debugfs is released. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-68394 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: MGMT: revalidate LOAD_CONN_PARAM queued update MGMT_OP_LOAD_CONN_PARAM queues conn_update_sync() when a single parameter update changes an existing LE central connection. The queued work currently stores a borrowed hci_conn_params entry from hdev->le_conn_params. A later LOAD_CONN_PARAM request can clear disabled parameters and free that entry before hci_cmd_sync_work() runs the queued callback. Do not keep the borrowed hci_conn_params pointer in queued work. Queue the hci_conn instead and hold a reference until the queued callback completes. When the work runs, revalidate that the connection is still present, look up the current hci_conn_params entry, and cancel the update if userspace removed that entry while the work was pending. Copy the interval values from the current params entry under hdev->lock, then drop the lock and keep using hci_le_conn_update_sync() to issue the update. Validation reproduced this kernel report: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in conn_update_sync+0x2a/0xf0 [bluetooth] Read of size 1 at addr ffff88810c697126 by task kworker/u17:0/377 Workqueue: hci0 hci_cmd_sync_work [bluetooth] Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl+0x66/0xa0 print_report+0xce/0x5f0 kasan_report+0xe0/0x110 conn_update_sync+0x2a/0xf0 [bluetooth] hci_cmd_sync_work+0x187/0x210 [bluetooth] process_one_work+0x4fd/0xbc0 worker_thread+0x2d8/0x570 kthread+0x1ad/0x1f0 ret_from_fork+0x3c9/0x540 ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30 Allocated by task 466: hci_conn_params_add+0xa6/0x240 [bluetooth] load_conn_param+0x4e1/0x850 [bluetooth] hci_sock_sendmsg+0x96b/0xf80 [bluetooth] Freed by task 474: kfree+0x313/0x590 hci_conn_params_clear_disabled+0x9b/0xc0 [bluetooth] load_conn_param+0x4bf/0x850 [bluetooth] hci_sock_sendmsg+0x96b/0xf80 [bluetooth] 19 Oct
CVE-2026-68391 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: mgmt: hold reference for hci_conn in mgmt_pending_cmds Dereferencing RCU-protected pointers outside critical sections is invalid and may lead to UAF. Use of hci_conn in hci_sync callbacks also needs to hold refcount to avoid UAF. Take appropriate locks for hci_conn lookups, and take refcount for hci_conn pointers stored in mgmt_pending_cmd so that the pointer stays valid. When accessing conn->state, ensure hdev->lock is held to avoid data race. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-68189 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: Protect UUID list traversal The hci_sync conversion moved class-of-device and EIR generation from an HCI request built under hdev->lock to asynchronous command sync work. The worker holds hdev->req_lock, but that lock does not serialize access to hdev->uuids against add_uuid() and remove_uuid(), which update the list under hdev->lock. The following interleaving can therefore occur: CPU0 (command sync work) CPU1 (management socket) fetch uuid from the list list_del(&uuid->list) kfree(uuid) read uuid->size KASAN reports the resulting use-after-free: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in eir_create+0xb8f/0xee0 Read of size 1 at addr ffff88810dbd8620 by task kworker/u17:0/87 Workqueue: hci0 hci_cmd_sync_work Call Trace: eir_create+0xb8f/0xee0 hci_update_eir_sync+0x1c0/0x330 hci_cmd_sync_work+0x13c/0x290 process_one_work+0x63a/0x1070 worker_thread+0x45b/0xd10 Allocated by task 86: __kasan_kmalloc+0x8f/0xa0 add_uuid+0x18a/0x4b0 hci_sock_sendmsg+0x1033/0x1ea0 Freed by task 92: __kasan_slab_free+0x43/0x70 kfree+0x131/0x3c0 remove_uuid+0x25e/0x560 hci_sock_sendmsg+0x1033/0x1ea0 Hold hdev->lock while generating and committing the class-of-device and EIR snapshots. Release it before sending an HCI command, so controller waits do not happen under the device lock. This protects all UUID list walks in these paths and restores the serialization lost in the command sync conversion. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-53209 7.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: reject oversized Broadcast Announcement prepend Existing advertising instances can already hold the maximum extended advertising payload. When hci_adv_bcast_annoucement() prepends the Broadcast Announcement service data to that payload, the combined data may no longer fit in the temporary buffer used to rebuild the advertising data. Reject that case before copying the existing payload and report the failure through the device log. This keeps the existing advertising data intact and avoids overrunning the temporary buffer. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-43023 7.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: SCO: fix race conditions in sco_sock_connect() sco_sock_connect() checks sk_state and sk_type without holding the socket lock. Two concurrent connect() syscalls on the same socket can both pass the check and enter sco_connect(), leading to use-after-free. The buggy scenario involves three participants and was confirmed with additional logging instrumentation: Thread A (connect): HCI disconnect: Thread B (connect): sco_sock_connect(sk) sco_sock_connect(sk) sk_state==BT_OPEN sk_state==BT_OPEN (pass, no lock) (pass, no lock) sco_connect(sk): sco_connect(sk): hci_dev_lock hci_dev_lock hci_connect_sco <- blocked -> hcon1 sco_conn_add->conn1 lock_sock(sk) sco_chan_add: conn1->sk = sk sk->conn = conn1 sk_state=BT_CONNECT release_sock hci_dev_unlock hci_dev_lock sco_conn_del: lock_sock(sk) sco_chan_del: sk->conn=NULL conn1->sk=NULL sk_state= BT_CLOSED SOCK_ZAPPED release_sock hci_dev_unlock (unblocked) hci_connect_sco -> hcon2 sco_conn_add -> conn2 lock_sock(sk) sco_chan_add: sk->conn=conn2 sk_state= BT_CONNECT // zombie sk! release_sock hci_dev_unlock Thread B revives a BT_CLOSED + SOCK_ZAPPED socket back to BT_CONNECT. Subsequent cleanup triggers double sock_put() and use-after-free. Meanwhile conn1 is leaked as it was orphaned when sco_conn_del() cleared the association. Fix this by: - Moving lock_sock() before the sk_state/sk_type checks in sco_sock_connect() to serialize concurrent connect attempts - Fixing the sk_type != SOCK_SEQPACKET check to actually return the error instead of just assigning it - Adding a state re-check in sco_connect() after lock_sock() to catch state changes during the window between the locks - Adding sco_pi(sk)->conn check in sco_chan_add() to prevent double-attach of a socket to multiple connections - Adding hci_conn_drop() on sco_chan_add failure to prevent HCI connection leaks 19 Oct
