CVE-2020-11501 7.4 high 3.0% gnu, canonical, gnutls, ubuntu_linux, debian_linux GnuTLS 3.6.x before 3.6.13 uses incorrect cryptography for DTLS. The earliest affected version is 3.6.3 (2018-07-16) because of an error in a 2017-10-06 commit. The DTLS client always uses 32 '\0' bytes instead of a random value, and thus contributes no randomness to a DTLS negotiation. This breaks the security guarantees of the DTLS protocol. 14 Oct
CVE-2021-37750 6.5 medium 3.0% mit, fedoraproject, kerberos_5, fedora, debian_linux The Key Distribution Center (KDC) in MIT Kerberos 5 (aka krb5) before 1.18.5 and 1.19.x before 1.19.3 has a NULL pointer dereference in kdc/do_tgs_req.c via a FAST inner body that lacks a server field. 14 Oct
CVE-2020-24977 6.5 medium 3.0% xmlsoft, debian, libxml2, debian_linux, fedora GNOME project libxml2 v2.9.10 has a global buffer over-read vulnerability in xmlEncodeEntitiesInternal at libxml2/entities.c. The issue has been fixed in commit 50f06b3e. 14 Oct
CVE-2018-1000879 6.5 medium 3.0% libarchive, fedoraproject, fedora, leap libarchive version commit 379867ecb330b3a952fb7bfa7bffb7bbd5547205 onwards (release v3.3.0 onwards) contains a CWE-476: NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in ACL parser - libarchive/archive_acl.c, archive_acl_from_text_l() that can result in Crash/DoS. This attack appear to be exploitable via the victim must open a specially crafted archive file. 8 Oct
CVE-2021-22947 5.9 medium 3.0% haxx, fedoraproject, curl, fedora, debian_linux When curl >= 7.20.0 and <= 7.78.0 connects to an IMAP or POP3 server to retrieve data using STARTTLS to upgrade to TLS security, the server can respond and send back multiple responses at once that curl caches. curl would then upgrade to TLS but not flush the in-queue of cached responses but instead continue using and trustingthe responses it got *before* the TLS handshake as if they were authenticated.Using this flaw, it allows a Man-In-The-Middle attacker to first inject the fake responses, then pass-through the TLS traffic from the legitimate server and trick curl into sending data back to the user thinking the attacker's injected data comes from the TLS-protected server. 14 Oct
CVE-2021-28153 5.3 medium 3.0% gnome, broadcom, glib, brocade_fabric_operating_system_firmware, debian_linux An issue was discovered in GNOME GLib before 2.66.8. When g_file_replace() is used with G_FILE_CREATE_REPLACE_DESTINATION to replace a path that is a dangling symlink, it incorrectly also creates the target of the symlink as an empty file, which could conceivably have security relevance if the symlink is attacker-controlled. (If the path is a symlink to a file that already exists, then the contents of that file correctly remain unchanged.) 14 Oct
CVE-2021-22890 3.7 low 3.0% haxx, fedoraproject, libcurl, fedora, hci_management_node curl 7.63.0 to and including 7.75.0 includes vulnerability that allows a malicious HTTPS proxy to MITM a connection due to bad handling of TLS 1.3 session tickets. When using a HTTPS proxy and TLS 1.3, libcurl can confuse session tickets arriving from the HTTPS proxy but work as if they arrived from the remote server and then wrongly "short-cut" the host handshake. When confusing the tickets, a HTTPS proxy can trick libcurl to use the wrong session ticket resume for the host and thereby circumvent the server TLS certificate check and make a MITM attack to be possible to perform unnoticed. Note that such a malicious HTTPS proxy needs to provide a certificate that curl will accept for the MITMed server for an attack to work - unless curl has been told to ignore the server certificate check. 14 Oct
CVE-2022-32511 9.8 critical 2.0% jmespath, fedoraproject, fedora jmespath.rb (aka JMESPath for Ruby) before 1.6.1 uses JSON.load in a situation where JSON.parse is preferable. 8 Oct
CVE-2022-36227 9.8 critical 2.0% libarchive, debian, debian_linux, fedora In libarchive before 3.6.2, the software does not check for an error after calling calloc function that can return with a NULL pointer if the function fails, which leads to a resultant NULL pointer dereference. NOTE: the discoverer cites this CWE-476 remark but third parties dispute the code-execution impact: "In rare circumstances, when NULL is equivalent to the 0x0 memory address and privileged code can access it, then writing or reading memory is possible, which may lead to code execution." 8 Oct
CVE-2023-27534 8.8 high 2.0% haxx, fedoraproject, curl, fedora, active_iq_unified_manager A path traversal vulnerability exists in curl <8.0.0 SFTP implementation causes the tilde (~) character to be wrongly replaced when used as a prefix in the first path element, in addition to its intended use as the first element to indicate a path relative to the user's home directory. Attackers can exploit this flaw to bypass filtering or execute arbitrary code by crafting a path like /~2/foo while accessing a server with a specific user. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2023-27533 8.8 high 2.0% haxx, fedoraproject, curl, fedora, active_iq_unified_manager A vulnerability in input validation exists in curl <8.0 during communication using the TELNET protocol may allow an attacker to pass on maliciously crafted user name and "telnet options" during server negotiation. The lack of proper input scrubbing allows an attacker to send content or perform option negotiation without the application's intent. This vulnerability could be exploited if an application allows user input, thereby enabling attackers to execute arbitrary code on the system. 14 Oct
CVE-2022-40674 8.1 high 2.0% libexpat_project, debian, libexpat, debian_linux, fedora libexpat before 2.4.9 has a use-after-free in the doContent function in xmlparse.c. 14 Oct
CVE-2021-20305 8.1 high 2.0% nettle_project, fedoraproject, nettle, fedora, enterprise_linux A flaw was found in Nettle in versions before 3.7.2, where several Nettle signature verification functions (GOST DSA, EDDSA & ECDSA) result in the Elliptic Curve Cryptography point (ECC) multiply function being called with out-of-range scalers, possibly resulting in incorrect results. This flaw allows an attacker to force an invalid signature, causing an assertion failure or possible validation. The highest threat to this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability. 14 Oct
CVE-2021-3968 8.0 high 2.0% vim, fedoraproject, fedora vim is vulnerable to Heap-based Buffer Overflow 8 Oct
CVE-2021-3516 7.8 high 2.0% xmlsoft, debian, xmllint, debian_linux, fedora There's a flaw in libxml2's xmllint in versions before 2.9.11. An attacker who is able to submit a crafted file to be processed by xmllint could trigger a use-after-free. The greatest impact of this flaw is to confidentiality, integrity, and availability. 14 Oct
CVE-2020-12762 7.8 high 2.0% json-c, fedoraproject, fedora, debian_linux json-c through 0.14 has an integer overflow and out-of-bounds write via a large JSON file, as demonstrated by printbuf_memappend. 14 Oct

CVE-2023-2911 7.5 high 2.0% isc, debian, bind, debian_linux, fedora If the `recursive-clients` quota is reached on a BIND 9 resolver configured with both `stale-answer-enable yes;` and `stale-answer-client-timeout 0;`, a sequence of serve-stale-related lookups could cause `named` to loop and terminate unexpectedly due to a stack overflow. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.16.33 through 9.16.41, 9.18.7 through 9.18.15, 9.16.33-S1 through 9.16.41-S1, and 9.18.11-S1 through 9.18.15-S1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2024-0553 7.5 high 2.0% gnu, fedoraproject, gnutls, fedora, enterprise_linux A vulnerability was found in GnuTLS. The response times to malformed ciphertexts in RSA-PSK ClientKeyExchange differ from the response times of ciphertexts with correct PKCS#1 v1.5 padding. This issue may allow a remote attacker to perform a timing side-channel attack in the RSA-PSK key exchange, potentially leading to the leakage of sensitive data. CVE-2024-0553 is designated as an incomplete resolution for CVE-2023-5981. 15 Oct
CVE-2022-2509 7.5 high 2.0% gnu, redhat, gnutls, enterprise_linux, fedora A vulnerability found in gnutls. This security flaw happens because of a double free error occurs during verification of pkcs7 signatures in gnutls_pkcs7_verify function. 14 Oct

NULL Pointer Dereference in function vim_regexec_string at regexp.c:2729 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted input. 8 Oct
CVE-2021-4166 7.1 high 2.0% vim, redhat, enterprise_linux, factory vim is vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Read 8 Oct
CVE-2023-23916 6.5 medium 2.0% haxx, fedoraproject, curl, fedora, debian_linux An allocation of resources without limits or throttling vulnerability exists in curl <v7.88.0 based on the "chained" HTTP compression algorithms, meaning that a server response can be compressed multiple times and potentially with differentalgorithms. The number of acceptable "links" in this "decompression chain" wascapped, but the cap was implemented on a per-header basis allowing a maliciousserver to insert a virtually unlimited number of compression steps simply byusing many headers. The use of such a decompression chain could result in a "malloc bomb", making curl end up spending enormous amounts of allocated heap memory, or trying to and returning out of memory errors. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2023-34969 6.5 medium 2.0% freedesktop, fedoraproject, dbus, fedora, debian_linux D-Bus before 1.15.6 sometimes allows unprivileged users to crash dbus-daemon. If a privileged user with control over the dbus-daemon is using the org.freedesktop.DBus.Monitoring interface to monitor message bus traffic, then an unprivileged user with the ability to connect to the same dbus-daemon can cause a dbus-daemon crash under some circumstances via an unreplyable message. When done on the well-known system bus, this is a denial-of-service vulnerability. The fixed versions are 1.12.28, 1.14.8, and 1.15.6. 15 Oct
CVE-2021-28363 6.5 medium 2.0% python, fedoraproject, urllib3, fedora, peoplesoft_enterprise_peopletools The urllib3 library 1.26.x before 1.26.4 for Python omits SSL certificate validation in some cases involving HTTPS to HTTPS proxies. The initial connection to the HTTPS proxy (if an SSLContext isn't given via proxy_config) doesn't verify the hostname of the certificate. This means certificates for different servers that still validate properly with the default urllib3 SSLContext will be silently accepted. 14 Oct
CVE-2021-3826 6.5 medium 2.0% gnu, fedoraproject, gcc, fedora Heap/stack buffer overflow in the dlang_lname function in d-demangle.c in libiberty allows attackers to potentially cause a denial of service (segmentation fault and crash) via a crafted mangled symbol. 14 Oct
CVE-2023-27535 5.9 medium 2.0% haxx, fedoraproject, libcurl, fedora, debian_linux An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in libcurl <8.0.0 in the FTP connection reuse feature that can result in wrong credentials being used during subsequent transfers. Previously created connections are kept in a connection pool for reuse if they match the current setup. However, certain FTP settings such as CURLOPT_FTP_ACCOUNT, CURLOPT_FTP_ALTERNATIVE_TO_USER, CURLOPT_FTP_SSL_CCC, and CURLOPT_USE_SSL were not included in the configuration match checks, causing them to match too easily. This could lead to libcurl using the wrong credentials when performing a transfer, potentially allowing unauthorized access to sensitive information. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2023-27536 5.9 medium 2.0% haxx, fedoraproject, libcurl, fedora, debian_linux An authentication bypass vulnerability exists libcurl <8.0.0 in the connection reuse feature which can reuse previously established connections with incorrect user permissions due to a failure to check for changes in the CURLOPT_GSSAPI_DELEGATION option. This vulnerability affects krb5/kerberos/negotiate/GSSAPI transfers and could potentially result in unauthorized access to sensitive information. The safest option is to not reuse connections if the CURLOPT_GSSAPI_DELEGATION option has been changed. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2023-28321 5.9 medium 2.0% haxx, debian, curl, debian_linux, fedora An improper certificate validation vulnerability exists in curl <v8.1.0 in the way it supports matching of wildcard patterns when listed as "Subject Alternative Name" in TLS server certificates. curl can be built to use its own name matching function for TLS rather than one provided by a TLS library. This private wildcard matching function would match IDN (International Domain Name) hosts incorrectly and could as a result accept patterns that otherwise should mismatch. IDN hostnames are converted to puny code before used for certificate checks. Puny coded names always start with `xn--` and should not be allowed to pattern match, but the wildcard check in curl could still check for `x*`, which would match even though the IDN name most likely contained nothing even resembling an `x`. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2021-3426 5.7 medium 2.0% python, fedoraproject, fedora, debian_linux There's a flaw in Python 3's pydoc. A local or adjacent attacker who discovers or is able to convince another local or adjacent user to start a pydoc server could access the server and use it to disclose sensitive information belonging to the other user that they would not normally be able to access. The highest risk of this flaw is to data confidentiality. This flaw affects Python versions before 3.8.9, Python versions before 3.9.3 and Python versions before 3.10.0a7. 14 Oct
CVE-2018-19139 5.5 medium 2.0% jasper_project, redhat, jasper, fedora, debian_linux An issue has been found in JasPer 2.0.14. There is a memory leak in jas_malloc.c when called from jpc_unk_getparms in jpc_cs.c. 15 Oct
CVE-2021-3997 5.5 medium 2.0% systemd_project, fedoraproject, systemd, fedora, enterprise_linux A flaw was found in systemd. An uncontrolled recursion in systemd-tmpfiles may lead to a denial of service at boot time when too many nested directories are created in /tmp. 14 Oct
CVE-2022-1674 5.5 medium 2.0% vim, fedoraproject, fedora, macos NULL Pointer Dereference in function vim_regexec_string at regexp.c:2733 in GitHub repository vim/vim prior to 8.2.4938. NULL Pointer Dereference in function vim_regexec_string at regexp.c:2733 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted input. 8 Oct
CVE-2022-0530 5.5 medium 2.0% unzip_project, redhat, unzip, enterprise_linux, fedora A flaw was found in Unzip. The vulnerability occurs during the conversion of a wide string to a local string that leads to a heap of out-of-bound write. This flaw allows an attacker to input a specially crafted zip file, leading to a crash or code execution. 8 Oct
CVE-2021-22923 5.3 medium 2.0% haxx, fedoraproject, curl, fedora, cloud_backup When curl is instructed to get content using the metalink feature, and a user name and password are used to download the metalink XML file, those same credentials are then subsequently passed on to each of the servers from which curl will download or try to download the contents from. Often contrary to the user's expectations and intentions and without telling the user it happened. 14 Oct
CVE-2020-29562 4.8 medium 2.0% gnu, fedoraproject, glibc, fedora, e-series_santricity_os_controller The iconv function in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) 2.30 to 2.32, when converting UCS4 text containing an irreversible character, fails an assertion in the code path and aborts the program, potentially resulting in a denial of service. 14 Oct
CVE-2023-28322 3.7 low 2.0% haxx, fedoraproject, curl, fedora, macos An information disclosure vulnerability exists in curl <v8.1.0 when doing HTTP(S) transfers, libcurl might erroneously use the read callback (`CURLOPT_READFUNCTION`) to ask for data to send, even when the `CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS` option has been set, if the same handle previously wasused to issue a `PUT` request which used that callback. This flaw may surprise the application and cause it to misbehave and either send off the wrong data or use memory after free or similar in the second transfer. The problem exists in the logic for a reused handle when it is (expected to be) changed from a PUT to a POST. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2024-2004 3.5 low 2.0% haxx, fedoraproject, curl, fedora, macos When a protocol selection parameter option disables all protocols without adding any then the default set of protocols would remain in the allowed set due to an error in the logic for removing protocols. The below command would perform a request to curl.se with a plaintext protocol which has been explicitly disabled. curl --proto -all,-http http://curl.se The flaw is only present if the set of selected protocols disables the entire set of available protocols, in itself a command with no practical use and therefore unlikely to be encountered in real situations. The curl security team has thus assessed this to be low severity bug. 15 Oct
CVE-2022-42719 8.8 high 1.0% linux, fedoraproject, linux_kernel, fedora, debian_linux A use-after-free in the mac80211 stack when parsing a multi-BSSID element in the Linux kernel 5.2 through 5.19.x before 5.19.16 could be used by attackers (able to inject WLAN frames) to crash the kernel and potentially execute code. 14 Oct
CVE-2023-4004 7.8 high 1.0% linux, fedoraproject, linux_kernel, fedora, enterprise_linux A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel's netfilter in the way a user triggers the nft_pipapo_remove function with the element, without a NFT_SET_EXT_KEY_END. This issue could allow a local user to crash the system or potentially escalate their privileges on the system. 14 Oct
CVE-2022-42720 7.8 high 1.0% linux, fedoraproject, linux_kernel, fedora, debian_linux Various refcounting bugs in the multi-BSS handling in the mac80211 stack in the Linux kernel 5.1 through 5.19.x before 5.19.16 could be used by local attackers (able to inject WLAN frames) to trigger use-after-free conditions to potentially execute code. 14 Oct
CVE-2022-1304 7.8 high 1.0% e2fsprogs_project, redhat, e2fsprogs, enterprise_linux, fedora An out-of-bounds read/write vulnerability was found in e2fsprogs 1.46.5. This issue leads to a segmentation fault and possibly arbitrary code execution via a specially crafted filesystem. 14 Oct
