CVE-2026-8661 4.8 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Server-Side Request Forgery in the markdown_to_pdf action of Rapid7 InsightConnect Markdown Plugin on Linux in versions prior to 4.0.2 allows remote attackers to make arbitrary outbound HTTP requests via unsanitized resource-loading HTML elements (img/src, CSS url(), @import) embedded in Markdown input. The initial fix in 4.0.0 disabled JavaScript but did not neutralize resource-loading vectors. Resolved in 4.0.2 by sanitizing HTML with an allowlist of tags, attributes, and URL schemes. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-55464 4.8 medium 0.00% snipeitapp, snipe-it Snipe-IT is an IT asset/license management system. Prior to 8.6.2, CommonMark escapes raw HTML but does not sanitize javascript: URIs in Markdown hyperlinks, allowing a user with assets.edit permission to place a malicious link in a markdown-textarea custom field that executes arbitrary JavaScript when another user opens the asset detail page and clicks the link. This issue is fixed in version 8.6.2. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-46516 4.8 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Frogman provides headless FreePBX control. Prior to version 1.6.6, Frogman's chat-console markdown formatter (`assets/js/chat.js`'s `formatMarkdown`) inserted regex capture groups as raw HTML in four template patterns: inline code, bold, markdown links, and download links. Tool responses that reflect user-controlled fields — extension names, ring-group descriptions, IVR names, queue descriptions, etc. — could carry an HTML/JavaScript payload that executes when another admin views the response through Frogman chat. The payload runs in the viewer's session, with the viewer's permissions. FreePBX's own admin GUI escapes these same fields via `freepbx_htmlspecialchars()` throughout its view templates. The chat formatter was the leaky side. Version 1.6.6 patches the issue. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-58657 4.8 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Grav before 2.0.0 (affected through 2.0.0-rc.9 and the 2.0 branch) contains a stored CSS injection vulnerability in the Markdown image resize() media action. Prior media hardening rejects direct ?style= payloads and unsafe attribute() fallbacks, but the resize() action in Excerpts::processMediaActions() writes caller-controlled values directly into the image's styleAttributes. A lower-privileged content editor who can edit page Markdown can store a crafted image URL with semicolon-delimited CSS declarations in the resize parameters, which are rendered into the final <img style=...> attribute when a higher-privileged reviewer/admin views the page or preview. This does not require JavaScript execution but enables UI redress/overlay and content-manipulation attacks (e.g., a full-viewport fixed overlay). Fixed in 2.0.0. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-42078 4.6 medium 0.00% no CPE yet PPTAgent is an agentic framework for reflective PowerPoint generation. Prior to commit 418491a, PPTAgent is vulnerable to arbitrary file write and directory creation via markdown_table_to_image. This issue has been patched via commit 418491a. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-53468 4.6 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Typemill is a flat-file, Markdown-based content management system designed for informational documentation websites. Versions prior to 2.23.0 are vulnerable to stored HTML attribute injection in the page metadata fields (`og:title` and `og:description`). An authenticated user with permission to modify page metadata can inject arbitrary HTML attributes into generated `<meta>` tags due to missing output encoding. Under certain browser or DOM interaction scenarios, this may lead to stored cross-site scripting (XSS). Version 2.23.0 fixes the issue. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-47733 4.4 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Rocket.Chat is an open-source, secure, fully customizable communications platform. Prior to 8.5.0, the ImageElement component in packages/gazzodown renders user-controlled src values directly into <a href> and <img src> attributes without protocol sanitization. Unlike the analogous LinkSpan component — which uses sanitizeUrl to block javascript:, data:, and vbscript: protocols — ImageElement passes the raw URL through unchanged. An authenticated user can post a markdown image with a javascript: URL that, if clicked on an older browser, would execute arbitrary JavaScript in the viewer's session. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.5.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-75052 4.4 medium 0.00% jetbrains, intellij_idea In JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA before 2026.2.1 command execution via crafted Markdown preview content was possible in trusted projects 23 Oct
CVE-2026-44264 4.3 medium 0.00% weblate Weblate is a web based localization tool. Prior to version 5.17.1, the Markdown renderer used in user comments and other user-provided content didn't properly sanitize some attributes. This issue has been patched in version 5.17.1. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-59930 4.3 medium 0.00% mistune_project, mistune Mistune is a Python Markdown parser with renderers and plugins. Prior to 3.3.0, the toc plugin and TableOfContents directive generate heading IDs as predictable toc_N values without slugifying the heading text, allowing attacker-controlled id="toc_N" content to collide with generated anchors and redirect same-page navigation, CSS selectors, or JavaScript handlers. This issue is fixed in version 3.3.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-46338 4.3 medium 0.00% facelessuser, pymdown_extensions PyMdown Extensions is a set of extensions for the Python-Markdown markdown project. From 10.0.1 until 10.21.3, pymdownx.snippets uses a string-prefix containment check in SnippetPreprocessor.get_snippet_path() in pymdownx/snippets.py when `restrict_base_path: True`, allowing markdown snippet directives to read files from sibling paths that share the same base_path prefix, such as docs and docs_internal. This is a regression of CVE-2023-32309. This issue is fixed in version 10.21.3. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2025-66025 4.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Caido is a web security auditing toolkit. Prior to version 0.53.0, the Markdown renderer used in Caido’s Findings page improperly handled user-supplied Markdown, allowing attacker-controlled links to be rendered without confirmation. When a user opened a finding generated through the scanner, or other plugins, clicking these injected links could redirect the Caido application to an attacker-controlled domain, enabling phishing style attacks. This issue has been patched in version 0.53.0. 18 Oct
CVE-2025-66629 4.3 medium 0.00% hedgedoc HedgeDoc is an open source, real-time, collaborative, markdown notes application. Prior to 1.10.4, some of HedgeDoc's OAuth2 endpoints for social login providers such as Google, GitHub, GitLab, Facebook or Dropbox lack CSRF protection, since they don't send a state parameter and verify the response using this parameter. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.10.4. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-6339 4.3 medium 0.00% mattermost, mattermost_server Mattermost versions 11.5.x <= 11.5.1, 11.4.x <= 11.4.3 fail to validate the X-Requested-With header on the burn-on-read reveal endpoint which allows an authenticated channel member to force the reveal of a burn-on-read message without recipient consent via a crafted Markdown image tag.. Mattermost Advisory ID: MMSA-2026-00636 14 Oct
CVE-2026-102832 4.2 medium 0.00% no CPE yet JupyterLab is an extensible environment for interactive and reproducible computing, based on the Jupyter Notebook Architecture. From 4.5.7 until 4.5.11 and 4.6.4, the markdownviewer:trust and notebook:trust command-link handlers use tracker.currentWidget to resolve the current Markdown viewer or notebook when the user answers rather than retaining the document whose command button was clicked. If another document becomes current while the prompt is open and the user chooses Trust, JupyterLab marks the second document trusted while leaving the clicked document untrusted. Later command buttons in the incorrectly trusted document run without a prompt, and trusting a notebook marks all cells trusted, saves unsaved edits, and persists the server signature to disk. Applications that bundle JupyterLab, including affected Notebook and JupyterLite releases, inherit the behavior. This issue is fixed in versions 4.5.11 and 4.6.4. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-54681 4.1 medium 0.00% no CPE yet DiscordChatExporter saves Discord chat logs to a file. Prior to 2.47.2, the VisitEmojiAsync method in DiscordChatExporter.Core/Exporting/HtmlMarkdownVisitor.cs interpolates emoji.Name into the alt attribute and emoji.Code into the title attribute without HTML entity encoding. This affects HTML exports regardless of the markdown setting. Discord's current custom emoji name validation normally excludes attribute-breaking characters, but tampered offline input, a relaxed upstream validation rule, or another future metadata source can inject an HTML attribute and execute script when a user opens the export. This issue is fixed in version 2.47.2. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-111766 3.7 low 0.00% no CPE yet markdown-it is a Markdown parser. Prior to 14.3.3 and 15.0.3, when the html option or commonmark preset is enabled and the constructs occur inside a paragraph, attacker-controlled Markdown containing repeated unterminated inline HTML comments, processing instructions, declarations, or CDATA sections reaches src/rules_inline/html_inline.ts. Its HTML_TAG_RE match searches the remaining suffix for the appropriate terminator; when no terminator is present, parsing advances to the next opener and repeats the match over overlapping input, causing quadratic processing and denial of service through event-loop blocking or an unresponsive browser main thread. HTML blocks and the default HTML-disabled configuration are not affected by these payloads. This issue is fixed in versions 14.3.3 and 15.0.3. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-54326 2.5 low 0.00% no CPE yet Pi is a minimal terminal coding harness. From 0.74.0 until 0.78.1, Pi HTML exports render session Markdown into a static HTML file. It did not consistently reject unsafe Markdown link and image URL schemes. In versions with scheme filtering, C0 control characters in the URL scheme could bypass the check because browsers normalize those characters before navigation. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.78.1. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-71438 2.4 low 0.00% no CPE yet Mermaid is a JavaScript tool that uses Markdown-inspired text to create and modify diagrams and charts. Prior to 10.9.8 and 11.16.1, Mermaid's configuration setters (mermaid.initialize, mermaidAPI.setConfig, and mermaidAPI.updateSiteConfig) merge caller-supplied configuration into Mermaid's internal config using the assignWithDepth deep-merge helper, which is vulnerable to prototype pollution. This is only exploitable if an application forwards untrusted data directly into one of these configuration entry points, which is outside their documented usage; diagram-supplied configuration (e.g. %%{init: {}}%% or YAML frontmatter) is not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 10.9.8 and 11.16.1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2025-13742 2.4 low 0.00% pretix Emails sent by pretix can utilize placeholders that will be filled with customer data. For example, when {name} is used in an email template, it will be replaced with the buyer's name for the final email. If the name of the attendee contained HTML or Markdown formatting, this was rendered as HTML in the resulting email. This way, a user could inject links or other formatted text through a maliciously formatted name. Since pretix applies a strict allow list approach to allowed HTML tags, this could not be abused for XSS or similarly dangerous attack chains. However, it can be used to manipulate emails in a way that makes user-provided content appear in a trustworthy and credible way, which can be abused for phishing. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-59842 2.1 low 0.00% jupyter, jupyterlab jupyterlab is an extensible environment for interactive and reproducible computing, based on the Jupyter Notebook Architecture. Prior to version 4.4.8, links generated with LaTeX typesetters in Markdown files and Markdown cells in JupyterLab and Jupyter Notebook did not include the noopener attribute. This is deemed to have no impact on the default installations. Theoretically users of third-party LaTeX-rendering extensions could find themselves vulnerable to reverse tabnabbing attacks if links generated by those extensions included target=_blank (no such extensions are known at time of writing) and they were to click on a link generated in LaTeX (typically visibly different from other links). This issue has been patched in version 4.4.8. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-108852 2.1 low 0.00% no CPE yet Deep Chat through 2.5.1 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows attackers to inject javascript: links because RemarkableConfig.createNew disables Remarkable link validation. Attackers can place crafted Markdown links in AI responses, addMessage content, or loaded history to execute script in the embedding page when victims click them. 16 Oct

The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-19338 1.9 low 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability was identified in automateyournetwork MCPyATS up to 0.1.4. The affected element is the function processGenerateRequest of the file mcp_servers/mermaid/index.ts of the component generate_mermaid_markdown. The manipulation of the argument folder/name leads to path traversal. The attack must be carried out locally. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2025-10949 1.9 low 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability was found in Changsha Developer Technology iView Editor up to 1.1.1. This impacts an unknown function of the component Markdown Handler. The manipulation results in cross site scripting. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. 11 Oct
CVE-2026-14702 1.1 low 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw has been found in zcaceres markdownify-mcp up to 1.1.0. This impacts the function saveToTempFile of the file src/Markdownify.ts of the component webpage-to-markdown/youtube-to-markdown/bing-search-to-markdown. This manipulation causes insufficiently random values. The attack is restricted to local execution. A high degree of complexity is needed for the attack. The exploitability is said to be difficult. The exploit has been published and may be used. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-107035 unscored — no CPE yet Insecure permissions in the object/Page.java component of MBasov OMN Outline notes Markdown versionCode 3400 allows unauthorized attackers to arbitrarily write content into another user's private storage via a crafted payload. Thu 29 Oct
CVE-2026-64944 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in Apache Answer. This issue affects Apache Answer: through 2.0.2. The importer stores imported question bodies as raw HTML without passing them through the normal Markdown-to-HTML sanitization path, so attacker-controlled HTML embedded in an imported data source is persisted and rendered to all viewers (including privileged users) as stored XSS. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.3, which fixes the issue. 19 Oct
