CVE-2026-70652 2.0 low 0.00% no CPE yet libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs. Prior to version 8.18.3, libvips built with libultrahdr support can incorrectly size an output buffer in libvips/foreign/uhdrsave.c within vips_foreign_save_uhdr_set_raw_hdr when a pipeline enlarges an incoming JPEG to a very large output before encoding a gain map through VipsForeignSaveUhdr. The undersized allocation can cause a heap buffer over-read that may disclose adjacent data or crash the process. This issue is fixed in version 8.18.3. Mon 26 Oct

CVE-2026-80581 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: SOF: ipc4-pcm: Continue the pipeline trigger in case of IPC timeout Ignore IPC errors for pipeline state change if the firmware state is crashed or the IPC has timed out. If the firmware has crashed the kernel still needs to go through the state changes to reset its internal to be able to correctly work the next time the DSP is booted up. The case with IPC timeout is a bit more problematic, but it has been rootcaused to be the result of system scheduling blockage and the firmware did actually received and handled the message, but the reply handling got blocked by issues outside of the SOF stack. So far the best way to handle this is to continue with setting the state. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2024-27057 unscored 0.00% linux In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: SOF: ipc4-pcm: Workaround for crashed firmware on system suspend When the system is suspended while audio is active, the sof_ipc4_pcm_hw_free() is invoked to reset the pipelines since during suspend the DSP is turned off, streams will be re-started after resume. If the firmware crashes during while audio is running (or when we reset the stream before suspend) then the sof_ipc4_set_multi_pipeline_state() will fail with IPC error and the state change is interrupted. This will cause misalignment between the kernel and firmware state on next DSP boot resulting errors returned by firmware for IPC messages, eventually failing the audio resume. On stream close the errors are ignored so the kernel state will be corrected on the next DSP boot, so the second boot after the DSP panic. If sof_ipc4_trigger_pipelines() is called from sof_ipc4_pcm_hw_free() then state parameter is SOF_IPC4_PIPE_RESET and only in this case. Treat a forced pipeline reset similarly to how we treat a pcm_free by ignoring error on state sending to allow the kernel's state to be consistent with the state the firmware will have after the next boot. CVE-2026-99209 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: skip eviction of a BO with no resource xe_evict_flags() switches on tbo->resource->mem_type to choose an eviction placement. An xe BO can reach eviction with no ttm.resource, e.g. an imported dma-buf BO whose resource was freed during teardown while its attachment is still live: the exporter then invalidates it via xe_dma_buf_move_notify() -> xe_bo_evict(), and the switch dereferences a NULL resource and faults. A BO with no resource has nothing placed or mapped, so there is nothing to evict. Return an empty placement (num_placement = 0), mirroring the handling already used for non-xe scatter-gather BOs just above; ttm_bo_validate() then takes the pipeline-gutting path and returns 0. Without the fix the xe_dma_buf@xe_test_dmabuf_move_notify_no_resource dynamic live selftest will fail with below stack. BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000010 RIP: 0010:xe_evict_flags+0xf4/0x140 [xe] Call Trace: <TASK> xe_bo_evict+0x40/0xa0 [xe] ? ttm_bo_pipeline_gutting+0x71/0x180 [ttm] xe_test_dmabuf_move_notify_no_resource+0x182/0x440 [xe] xe_dma_buf_kunit+0x387/0x580 [xe] v2: Add Fixes tag and failure info in commit text (Matt Brost) (cherry picked from commit dbcfaac6331f1fcb0c2fe3ad3e9adb1e5d43ec0c) Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-98782 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mediatek: Fix ovl adaptor platform device leak mtk_drm_probe() creates an OVL adaptor platform device with platform_device_register_data() when the display pipeline requires the OVL adaptor. If a later initialization step fails, the probe error path releases the DRM resources without unregistering the already registered OVL adaptor device. The normal remove path likewise leaves the device registered after the DRM driver is unbound. Keep track of whether the OVL adaptor was successfully registered and unregister it on probe failure. Also recover the platform device from the stored DDP component device and unregister it during normal removal. The issue was identified by a static analysis tool I developed and confirmed by manual review. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-68211 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: stm32-dcmipp: Return queued buffers on start_streaming() failure The vb2 framework hands buffers to the driver via buf_queue() before calling start_streaming(). If start_streaming() returns an error without first returning those buffers via vb2_buffer_done(), vb2_start_streaming() fires WARN_ON(owned_by_drv_count) and the queued buffers leak. dcmipp_bytecap_start_streaming() returned -EINVAL when the source subdevice could not be resolved from the media graph, before pm_runtime_resume_and_get() and media_pipeline_start() had been called. The remaining error paths already converge on the err_buffer_done label, which calls dcmipp_bytecap_all_buffers_done(..., VB2_BUF_STATE_QUEUED). Jump to that label directly: the intermediate err_pm_put / err_media_pipeline_stop labels are skipped, which is correct because nothing they would undo has happened yet. This mirrors the uvcvideo fix in commit 4cf3b6fd54eb ("media: uvcvideo: Return queued buffers on start_streaming() failure"). 21 Oct
CVE-2025-40086 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: Don't allow evicting of BOs in same VM in array of VM binds An array of VM binds can potentially evict other buffer objects (BOs) within the same VM under certain conditions, which may lead to NULL pointer dereferences later in the bind pipeline. To prevent this, clear the allow_res_evict flag in the xe_bo_validate call. v2: - Invert polarity of no_res_evict (Thomas) - Add comment in code explaining issue (Thomas) (cherry picked from commit 8b9ba8d6d95fe75fed6b0480bb03da4b321bea08) 21 Oct
CVE-2026-98615 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: eth: fbnic: Set AW_FLUSH_MODE alongside AW_FLUSH when flushing the mailbox When tearing down the FW mailbox Rx ring, fbnic_mbx_reset_desc_ring() writes AW_CFG with FLUSH set and everything else, BME included, cleared. Clearing BME halts the device's writes to the host but leaves the staged requests parked in the PUL write pipeline rather than draining them, so on the write path FLUSH alone never terminates the outstanding requests and the flush the firmware waits on never completes. Add the FLUSH_MODE definition and set both bits so the staged writes drain out of the pipeline on their own. BME stays cleared, so nothing lands on the host; it is restored later in fbnic_mbx_init_desc_ring() when the ring is rebuilt, once the outstanding writes are gone. The read path is unaffected. AR_CFG has no equivalent mode bit and AR_FLUSH terminates the outstanding reads by itself, so it is left as is. Both writes remain plain stores rather than read-modify-writes. That is deliberate: the matching write in fbnic_mbx_init_desc_ring() restores BME and the TLP attributes, and clears both flush bits as a side effect. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-97620 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: Flush LSC untyped L1 dataport cache after rcs/ccs batches emit_render_cache_flush() sets PIPE_CONTROL0_HDC_PIPELINE_FLUSH to flush the L2/HDC data cache before fence signalling, but it never requests a flush of the LSC untyped L1 data cache via the 'Untyped Data-Port Cache Flush Enable' bit in PIPE_CONTROL DWord0[11]. Per the Bspec, in 3D pipeline mode HDC Pipeline Flush is documented to also flush/invalidate the untyped L1 cache, but only depending on how HDC_CHICKEN0[13:11] is programmed. Starting with MTL, this coupling between HDC Pipeline Flush and the untyped L1 cache flush no longer holds in practice, regardless of how HDC_CHICKEN0 is programmed, so relying on it is not safe on newer platforms such as BMG. Mesa's Vulkan driver (anv) has been assuming the kernel flushes both caches between submissions, and hit user-visible corruption in apps such as Llama.cpp because of this gap; it now works around it by flushing both caches again from userspace at the end of every command buffer. Correctness between submissions on the same queue is userspace's responsibility and belongs in Mesa, not the kernel. However, for security we must ensure stale data can't leak through the untyped L1 dataport cache once memory is reclaimed or evicted, which requires the KMD to flush it before releasing memory for reuse. Prior to MTL, HDC_CHICKEN0 could be programmed (as already done for DG2 via Wa_22010960976/Wa_14013347512) to reliably keep HDC Pipeline Flush coupled to the untyped L1 cache flush, so those platforms are unaffected. Mesa's own anv driver found that on MTL the HW disconnected the two independently of how HDC_CHICKEN0 is programmed, and could not bring the old behavior back even by writing the register by hand; see Mesa commit 7c2ff46a4fc3 ("anv: don't prevent L1 untyped cache flush in 3D mode"). The kernel can't reliably request the flush from the CS on MTL either, so restrict the new PIPE_CONTROL bit to GRAPHICS_VERx100 >= 2000 (Xe2 and later), where it can be relied on. Explicitly set PIPE_CONTROL0_UNTYPED_DATAPORT_CACHE_FLUSH together with PIPE_CONTROL0_HDC_PIPELINE_FLUSH in emit_render_cache_flush() on Xe2 and later, so the L1 data cache is known clean before memory is released for reuse, without depending on undocumented platform-specific HDC_CHICKEN0 behavior.
