| CVE-2026-111448 | 3.7 low | 0.00% | no CPE yet | Wheels 4.0.0 through 4.1.2 uses case-insensitive comparisons in path-containment checks on case-sensitive filesystems. Canonical-path checks for zip entries, package mappings, development assets/docs, guide images and image tags can accept paths through an existing symlink to a case-distinct sibling directory, allowing access outside the intended root, including limited file disclosure. Separately, the CLI database-dump output check can write outside the application root to an existing writable case-distinct sibling directory; that action requires the CLI POST, loopback and password gate. This is fixed in 4.2.0. | 16 Oct |
| CVE-2026-107832 | 3.7 low | 0.00% | no CPE yet | fastify is a fast and low overhead web framework for Node.js. In versions 5.12.2 through 5.12.5, the routine that lowercases header names declared in a route schema does not lowercase the enum or const header names nested inside a propertyNames subschema. As a result, a header allow-list or deny-list written with canonical (non-lowercase) casing never matches the incoming lowercased header, so a restricted header passes validation and reaches the route handler. An attacker can therefore bypass a case-sensitive header validation rule and smuggle a forbidden header past the schema, affecting the integrity of request handling. The issue is fixed in fastify 5.12.6, and users should upgrade to 5.12.6 or later. There is no workaround other than upgrading, though applications can declare header names in lowercase to avoid the mismatch. | 15 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47327 | 3.3 low | 0.00% | canonical, ubuntu_linux | Ubuntu Linux 6.8, 6.17 and 7.0 contain SAUCE patches with a possible NULL pointer dereference in the handling of AppArmor notifications. The bug can be triggered by an unprivileged local user. This can lead to a kernel oops. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47330 | 3.3 low | 0.00% | canonical, ubuntu_linux | Ubuntu Linux 6.8, 7.17 and 7.0 contain AppArmor SAUCE patches which can, under certain circumstances, use an uninitialized variable in notification handling code. The bug can be triggered by an unprivileged local user and can result in the incorrect caching of AppArmor notification responses. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47329 | 3.3 low | 0.00% | canonical, ubuntu_linux | Ubuntu Linux 6.8, 6.17 and 7.0 contain SAUCE patches which fail to validate invalid sizes of the name field in AppAmor notification responses. The bug can be triggered by an unprivileged local user and could result in handling of crafted responses. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47336 | 3.3 low | 0.00% | canonical, ubuntu_linux | Ubuntu Linux 6.8 contains SAUCE patches with a possible use of an uninitialized variable in AppArmor AF_INET/AF_INET6 socket mediation code. The bug can be triggered by an unprivileged local user and could result in incorrect fine-grained mediation of network sockets. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47337 | 3.3 low | 0.00% | canonical, ubuntu_linux | Ubuntu Linux 6.8, 6.17 and 7.0 contain SAUCE patches with a possible NULL pointer dereference in the handling of AF_INET/AF_INET6 socket mediation. The bug can be triggered by an unprivileged local user. This can lead to a kernel oops. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2019-19126 | 3.3 low | 0.00% | gnu, canonical, glibc, ubuntu_linux, fedora | On the x86-64 architecture, the GNU C Library (aka glibc) before 2.31 fails to ignore the LD_PREFER_MAP_32BIT_EXEC environment variable during program execution after a security transition, allowing local attackers to restrict the possible mapping addresses for loaded libraries and thus bypass ASLR for a setuid program. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2025-5467 | 1.9 low | 0.00% | canonical, apport | It was discovered that process_crash() in data/apport in Canonical's Apport crash reporting tool may create crash files with incorrect group ownership, possibly exposing crash information beyond expected or intended groups. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2026-99153 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: libiscsi: Validate the ITT reflected in a Reject PDU A Reject PDU carries a copy of the header it rejects, and iscsi_handle_reject() takes the ITT out of that copy to find the task to clean up: memcpy(&rejected_pdu, data, sizeof(struct iscsi_hdr)); ... task = iscsi_itt_to_task(conn, rejected_pdu.itt); That value is whatever the target put there. iscsi_itt_to_task() bounds the index against cmds_max and checks nothing else, so any task in the pool can be named, and iscsi_nop_out_rsp() then completes it. An index that has never been used gives a NULL task->conn: the pool is zeroed at session setup and conn is assigned only when a task is allocated. If the task was used and returned, iscsi_complete_task() hits its WARN_ON_ONCE(task->state == ISCSI_TASK_FREE) and the refcount underflows. An in-flight SCSI command is completed as successful - a 1 MiB read returned 1048576 with none of its buffer written and no warning. Validate the reflected ITT the way iscsi_itt_to_ctask() validates a command ITT, and require the task to be in flight and not a SCSI command. | CVE-2026-99008 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: Fix NULL tty_dev dereference in rfcomm_dev_shutdown syzbot hit a NULL pointer dereference in rfcomm_dev_shutdown() when an RFCOMM tty is closed. rfcomm_dev_add() puts the new device on rfcomm_dev_list first and only then registers the tty device and saves it in dev->tty_dev. If that registration fails, dev->tty_dev is never set at all. The device can be looked up in the meantime, so an open() of /dev/rfcommN gets through rfcomm_tty_install() and attaches to it. When that tty is closed again, rfcomm_dev_shutdown() uses dev->tty_dev without checking it: Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000040-0x0000000000000047] RIP: 0010:rfcomm_dev_shutdown+0x48/0xb0 net/bluetooth/rfcomm/tty.c:131 Call Trace: tty_port_shutdown+0x1bf/0x220 drivers/tty/tty_port.c:372 tty_port_close+0x4e/0x150 drivers/tty/tty_port.c:705 tty_release+0x359/0x1670 drivers/tty/tty_io.c:1718 __fput+0x418/0xa50 fs/file_table.c:512 rfcomm_dev_destruct() already copes with a NULL dev->tty_dev. | CVE-2026-80851 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gtp: serialize PDP context updates PDP contexts can be deleted through GTP_CMD_DELPDP or while the GTP network device is being unregistered. The latter is serialized by RTNL, but the generic-netlink delete path only holds RCU. Running both paths concurrently can therefore make both paths delete the same PDP context. The issue was found through static analysis and reproduced on a KASAN-enabled kernel by a simple two-thread program racing GTP_CMD_DELPDP against RTM_DELLINK: Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address KASAN: maybe wild-memory-access in range [0xdead000000000120-0xdead000000000127] RIP: gtp_genl_del_pdp+0x1c1/0x420 [gtp] RBP: dead000000000122 The second deletion dereferenced the poisoned hlist pprev pointer. Serialize gtp_pdp_add(), gtp_genl_del_pdp(), and gtp_dellink() with a shared mutex. Keep the mutex held until the final use of a PDP context in the NEWPDP path, and keep the RCU read-side section around the complete PDP context use in the DELPDP path. | Fri 30 Oct |

Those endpoints share a common switch-decoder in the topology (3.0). At teardown, 2), decoder14.0 is the first to be removed and hits the "out of order reset case" in the switch decoder. The effect though is that region3 cleanup is aborted leaving it in-tact and referencing decoder14.0. At 3) the second attempt to teardown region3 trips over the stale decoder14.0 object which has long since been deleted. The fix here is to recognize that the CXL specification places no mandate on in-order shutdown of switch-decoders, the driver enforces in-order allocation, and hardware enforces in-order commit. So, rather than fail and leave objects dangling, always remove them. In support of making cxl_region_decode_reset() always succeed, cxl_region_invalidate_memregion() failures are turned into warnings. Crashing the kernel is ok there since system integrity is at risk if caches cannot be managed around physical address mutation events like CXL region destruction. A new device_for_each_child_reverse_from() is added to cleanup port->commit_end after all dependent decoders have been disabled. In other words if decoders are allocated 0->1->2 and disabled 1->2->0 then port->commit_end only decrements from 2 after 2 has been disabled, and it decrements all the way to zero since 1 was disabled previously. | Fri 30 Oct |

| CVE-2026-110680 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | Cpanel::JSON::XS versions from 4.20 before 4.80 for Perl write out of bounds when a tied or shared hash grows during canonical encoding in encode_hv. With canonical, the keys of a tied or threads::shared hash are counted before a second pass collects them for sorting. The encoder uses a fixed 64-entry stack array or, for larger counts, a heap array sized from the first pass. If the second pass exceeds that capacity, entries are written out of bounds before the counts are compared. This corrupts stack or heap memory and can crash the process. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-110687 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | Cpanel::JSON::XS versions from 4.43 before 4.80 for Perl misorder byte-string keys during canonical encoding in utf16_cmp. canonical sorts keys by UTF-16 code units. When any key in a hash is UTF-8 flagged, every key is decoded as UTF-8 for the comparison, including byte-string keys that the encoder writes out as Latin-1 characters. A byte-string key whose bytes are valid UTF-8 is sorted out of order, and two keys that encode differently can compare equal and are left in hash order. The same data can encode to different canonical documents across processes. | Thu 29 Oct |

Making its trampoline read-only splits a large page, and CPA collapses it again right away. The split table has been a kernel page table since commit 9e4a3ec3411b ("x86/mm/pat: Allocate split page tables as kernel page tables"), so the collapse frees it through pagetable_free_kernel(), which queues work on system_percpu_wq - still NULL at that point. That commit is correct in itself; it only lets CPA reach pagetable_free_kernel() before the workqueue that function relies on exists. Keep putting the table on the list, but don't schedule the work while the system is still booting. A core_initcall schedules it once to free whatever was queued by then. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-97934 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix memory corruption from a "STACKTRACE" histogram key "cpu", "CPU", "stacktrace" and "STACKTRACE" are generic fields, defined with an offset and a size of zero so that the filter code can match them by name. parse_field() maps them onto their common_* equivalents for backward compatibility, but unlike the common_* names it hands the placeholder back to the caller instead of NULL. create_hist_field() takes a non-NULL field as a promise that the record carries a stacktrace and picks HIST_FIELD_FN_STACK, so the __data_loc word is read from offset 0, that is from common_type, and its low 16 bits are followed as an offset into the record. What is found there becomes the length of an unbounded memcpy. Pick an event whose id is small enough that the offset stays inside its own record and the length is a kernel text address: # cd /sys/kernel/tracing # echo 'hist:keys=STACKTRACE' > events/ftrace/print/trigger # echo hello > trace_marker Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address RIP: 0010:rb_next+0x23/0x60 </IRQ> RIP: 0010:memcpy+0xc/0x30 event_hist_trigger+0x2e7/0x12c0 Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt Leave the field NULL, which is what the comment above the branch says the code does and what common_stacktrace already does. | CVE-2026-74734 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firewire: ohci: fix NULL pointer dereference in ar_context_release During the error handling path of the driver's probe function, a NULL pointer dereference can occur in ar_context_release(). When pci_probe() fails early (e.g., if pcim_enable_device() or MMIO mapping fails), the devres cleanup mechanism invokes release_ohci(). This function unconditionally calls ar_context_release() to clean up the asynchronous receive contexts. However, if ar_context_init() was not yet called, ctx->ohci remains NULL (as the fw_ohci structure is zero-initialized by devres_alloc()). ar_context_release() immediately dereferences ctx->ohci to get the dev pointer before checking if the context was actually initialized, leading to a crash: Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000001: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN NOPTI KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000008-0x000000000000000f] RIP: 0010:ar_context_release+0x3f/0x380 drivers/firewire/ohci.c:543 Call Trace: release_ohci+0x3f/0x60 drivers/firewire/ohci.c:3567 release_nodes drivers/base/devres.c:546 [inline] devres_release_all+0x1a8/0x260 drivers/base/devres.c:576 device_unbind_cleanup drivers/base/dd.c:597 [inline] really_probe+0x451/0xae0 drivers/base/dd.c:772 To fix this, move the assignment of the dev pointer after the !ctx->buffer check. | CVE-2026-63811 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: read COW data with the original inode during atomic write When updating an atomic-write file, f2fs_write_begin() may read the previously written data back from the COW inode: prepare_atomic_write_begin() locates the block in the COW inode and sets use_cow, and the read bio is then built with the COW inode: f2fs_submit_page_read(use_cow ? F2FS_I(inode)->cow_inode : inode, ...); and f2fs_grab_read_bio() decides whether to schedule fs-layer decryption (STEP_DECRYPT) for the bio based on that inode via fscrypt_inode_uses_fs_layer_crypto(). However, the folio being filled belongs to the original inode (folio->mapping->host == inode), and the data stored in the COW block was encrypted (or left as plaintext) using the original inode's context, not the COW inode's -- see f2fs_encrypt_one_page(), which keys off fio->page->mapping->host. fscrypt_decrypt_pagecache_blocks() likewise operates on folio->mapping->host. The COW inode is created as a tmpfile in the parent directory and inherits its encryption policy from there. With test_dummy_encryption the newly created COW inode gets the dummy policy and becomes encrypted, while a pre-existing regular file -- created before the policy applied, e.g. already present in the on-disk image -- stays unencrypted. The read path then sets STEP_DECRYPT based on the encrypted COW inode and calls fscrypt_decrypt_pagecache_blocks() on a folio whose host (the unencrypted original inode) has a NULL ->i_crypt_info, dereferencing it: Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address ... KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000008-0x000000000000000f] RIP: 0010:fscrypt_decrypt_pagecache_blocks+0xa0/0x310 Workqueue: f2fs_post_read_wq f2fs_post_read_work Call Trace: fscrypt_decrypt_bio+0x1eb/0x340 f2fs_post_read_work+0xba/0x140 process_one_work+0x91c/0x1a40 worker_thread+0x677/0xe90 kthread+0x2bc/0x3a0 The COW inode is only needed to locate the on-disk block, and that block address is already resolved into @blkaddr by prepare_atomic_write_begin() via __find_data_block(cow_inode, ...); f2fs_submit_page_read() then reads from that physical @blkaddr directly, so the inode argument only selects the post-read crypto context, not which block is fetched. Reading with @inode therefore returns the same (latest, not-yet-committed) COW data, while making both the fs-layer decryption decision and the inline crypto path use the correct (original inode's) key. With the COW inode no longer used at the read site, the use_cow flag has no remaining consumer; drop it from f2fs_write_begin() and prepare_atomic_write_begin(). | 21 Oct |

| CVE-2025-68335 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: comedi: pcl818: fix null-ptr-deref in pcl818_ai_cancel() Syzbot identified an issue [1] in pcl818_ai_cancel(), which stems from the fact that in case of early device detach via pcl818_detach(), subdevice dev->read_subdev may not have initialized its pointer to &struct comedi_async as intended. Thus, any such dereferencing of &s->async->cmd will lead to general protection fault and kernel crash. Mitigate this problem by removing a call to pcl818_ai_cancel() from pcl818_detach() altogether. This way, if the subdevice setups its support for async commands, everything async-related will be handled via subdevice's own ->cancel() function in comedi_device_detach_locked() even before pcl818_detach(). If no support for asynchronous commands is provided, there is no need to cancel anything either. | CVE-2026-98455 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: fix NULL dereference of dlc->session in RFCOMM_CONNINFO The RFCOMM_CONNINFO getsockopt handler accepts a socket that is not connected as long as deferred setup is enabled: if (sk->sk_state != BT_CONNECTED && !rfcomm_pi(sk)->dlc->defer_setup) { err = -ENOTCONN; break; } l2cap_sk = rfcomm_pi(sk)->dlc->session->sock->sk; dlc->defer_setup is set in rfcomm_sock_init() when rfcomm_connect_ind() creates a child socket for an incoming connection on a listening socket that has BT_DEFER_SETUP enabled. It is never cleared afterwards. The session, however, can go away underneath it. rfcomm_recv_disc() forces the dlc state before tearing it down: d->state = BT_CLOSED; __rfcomm_dlc_close(d, err); The RFCOMM_DEFER_SETUP early return in __rfcomm_dlc_close() only covers BT_CONNECT, BT_CONFIG, BT_OPEN and BT_CONNECT2, so with the state already BT_CLOSED that switch does not match and the function falls through to rfcomm_dlc_unlink(), which sets d->session = NULL, while d->defer_setup stays 1. A getsockopt(SOL_RFCOMM, RFCOMM_CONNINFO) on the accepted socket after that point therefore skips the -ENOTCONN path -- sk->sk_state is BT_CLOSED, but dlc->defer_setup is still set -- and dereferences the NULL session. No race is needed: once the DISC has been processed, the dereference is unconditional. Reproduced on a KASAN kernel under QEMU with a BR/EDR peer emulated over /dev/vhci: the peer brings up an ACL link, opens L2CAP on the RFCOMM PSM, starts a session and sends SABM for a channel bound with BT_DEFER_SETUP, and sends DISC for that dlci after the socket has been accepted. getsockopt(SOL_RFCOMM, RFCOMM_CONNINFO) on the accepted socket then hits: Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000002: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN PTI KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000010-0x0000000000000017] CPU: 1 UID: 0 PID: 150 Comm: init Tainted: G B 7.3.0-rc3-g5dd1818b15d9 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996) RIP: 0010:rfcomm_sock_getsockopt+0x529/0x780 Call Trace: <TASK> do_sock_getsockopt+0x3ad/0x7d0 __sys_getsockopt+0x10e/0x1b0 __x64_sys_getsockopt+0xc2/0x160 do_syscall_64+0xda/0x4b0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f </TASK> 0x10 is the offset of sock in struct rfcomm_session; rfcomm_sock_getsockopt_old() is inlined into rfcomm_sock_getsockopt(). Commit 43a556b2fd43 ("Bluetooth: RFCOMM: take rfcomm_mutex for the deferred setup accept") fixed the same "a remote DISC clears the session while deferred setup is still flagged" problem in rfcomm_dlc_accept(); this is the remaining instance of it, in the getsockopt path. Deferred setup only leaves a socket usable here once it has reached BT_CONNECT2, so restrict the exception to that state and check that a session is actually present before following it. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98380 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: reject IDR error pointers when deleting actions tcf_action_delete() drops the reference held by its lookup before calling tcf_idr_delete_index() with the saved action index. An unlocked classifier can remove that action and reserve the same IDR slot with ERR_PTR(-EBUSY) in between. tcf_idr_delete_index() only checks the lookup result for NULL. It therefore treats the reservation as a tc_action and dereferences tcfa_bindcnt. A hardware execution breakpoint was used to schedule the interleaving without changing the kernel source. KASAN reported this decoded trace: BUG: KASAN: null-ptr-deref in tca_action_gd+0x5b9/0x1010 Read of size 4 at addr 0000000000000010 by task poc/150 Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000002 RIP: tca_action_gd+0x5c0/0x1010: arch_atomic_read at arch/x86/include/asm/atomic.h:23 raw_atomic_read at include/linux/atomic/atomic-arch-fallback.h:457 atomic_read at include/linux/atomic/atomic-instrumented.h:33 tcf_idr_delete_index at net/sched/act_api.c:766 tcf_action_delete at net/sched/act_api.c:1859 tcf_del_notify at net/sched/act_api.c:2014 tca_action_gd at net/sched/act_api.c:2064 R13: 0000000000000010 R15: fffffffffffffff0 Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception R15 contains ERR_PTR(-EBUSY), and adding the tcfa_bindcnt offset produces the address in R13. | CVE-2026-98358 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: IB/iser: reject a remote invalidation of an unregistered direction A write command whose data is sent entirely as immediate data is not registered. iser_reg_mem_fastreg() takes the DMA key path and leaves rdma_reg[ISER_DIR_OUT].desc at NULL, while iser_dma_map_task_data() has already set dir[ISER_DIR_OUT]. iser_check_remote_inv() looks at dir[] alone and hands the descriptor to iser_inv_desc(), which reads desc->sig_protected. A target that answers such a command with IB_WR_SEND_WITH_INV faults the initiator. Leaving those commands unregistered is deliberate. The same function already terminates the connection when a target sends a remote invalidation the initiator did not ask for. A target that invalidates a direction that was never registered is in the same class, so give it the same answer. | CVE-2026-90024 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: midi2: Fix null-pointer dereference in f_midi2_free_ep_reqs A null-pointer dereference occurs in f_midi2_free_ep_reqs() when attempting to clean up an endpoint that was never initialized. When configuring the MIDI 2.0 gadget via configfs and setting the block direction to SNDRV_UMP_DIR_INPUT, the initialization of the midi1_ep_out endpoint is explicitly skipped during the gadget bind phase (f_midi2_bind()). As a result, the usb_ep->card field remains NULL. Later, when the host sets the alternate setting, f_midi2_set_alt() unconditionally stops both the IN and OUT endpoints by calling f_midi2_stop_eps(), which in turn calls f_midi2_free_ep_reqs() for both endpoints. When f_midi2_free_ep_reqs() is called for the uninitialized midi1_ep_out, it attempts to dereference usb_ep->card to determine the number of requests to free, leading to a crash. Fix this by using usb_ep->num_reqs instead of usb_ep->card->info.num_reqs in f_midi2_free_ep_reqs(). usb_ep->num_reqs is correctly set during f_midi2_init_ep() and remains 0 if the endpoint was never initialized, safely avoiding the loop. For consistency, apply the same change to f_midi2_alloc_ep_reqs(). | CVE-2026-89784 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: SUNRPC: check rpc_sockaddr2uaddr() return value in rpcb_register_inet4/6 rpcb_register_inet4() and rpcb_register_inet6() store the result of rpc_sockaddr2uaddr() into map->r_addr without checking it for NULL. rpc_sockaddr2uaddr() returns NULL when its final kstrdup() fails, and the unchecked NULL is then carried into the synchronous RPCBPROC_SET encode path: rpcb_register_call() -> rpc_call_sync() -> rpcb_enc_getaddr() -> encode_rpcb_string(), whose first statement is strlen(string), dereferencing NULL and oopsing the kernel. The crash reproduces under failslab on v6.12; with KASAN the NULL dereference surfaces as a fault on the shadow of address zero: Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN RIP: 0010:strlen (lib/string.c:409) Call Trace: encode_rpcb_string (net/sunrpc/rpcb_clnt.c:890) rpcb_enc_getaddr (net/sunrpc/rpcb_clnt.c:910) rpcauth_wrap_req_encode (net/sunrpc/auth.c:745) call_encode (net/sunrpc/clnt.c:1966) __rpc_execute (net/sunrpc/sched.c:952) rpc_run_task (net/sunrpc/clnt.c:1243) rpc_call_sync (net/sunrpc/clnt.c:1272) rpcb_v4_register (net/sunrpc/rpcb_clnt.c:500) svc_generic_rpcbind_set nfsd_rpcbind_set svc_register svc_setup_socket svc_addsock write_ports nfsctl_transaction_write vfs_write The crash is reachable when an in-kernel RPC service (nfsd, lockd, nfs-callback) registers with the local rpcbind under enough memory pressure for the small GFP_KERNEL kstrdup() in rpc_sockaddr2uaddr() to fail. The asynchronous getport path already handles this exact failure mode by returning -ENOMEM; only the two register helpers omit the check. Mirror that handling: bail out with -ENOMEM when rpc_sockaddr2uaddr() returns NULL, before the address is fed into the encoder. | 19 Oct |
