CVE-2026-71553 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. In 4.32.0 and earlier, PATCH /api/v1/article/:id accepts the inherited path toString.call and passes it through the utility module to apos.util.set() and apos.util.get(), allowing an authenticated editor to overwrite the shared Object.prototype.toString function's call property and cause a persistent process-wide denial of service until restart. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-113666 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 1.1.0 of db-connect and 4.33.0 of ApostropheCMS, an account with view-draft access can submit a projection exclusion path that traverses through a constructor prototype chain to a shared prototype member when a consumer uses a SQLite, PostgreSQL, or multipostgres adapter and has a matching document. Every editing role has view-draft access, while guestApiAccess broadens this prerequisite to any logged-in account. The unsetNestedField helper then deletes the shared runtime member, causing persistent process-wide integrity and availability effects; the default MongoDB adapter is not affected. This issue is fixed in db-connect 1.1.0 and ApostropheCMS 4.33.0. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-110871 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet Nodemailer from 3.0.0 before 10.0.10 contains a denial of service vulnerability in MessageParser.parseHeaders that allows users to exhaust CPU through quadratic header unfolding. Attackers can supply large recipient lists or long headers that fold into tens of thousands of continuation lines, blocking the Node.js event loop during DKIM signing. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-82864 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet pdfme pdf-lib versions before 5.5.10 contain an unbounded buffer growth vulnerability in the DecodeStream.ensureBuffer() method that allows attackers to cause denial of service by supplying a crafted PDF with a FlateDecode stream containing a decompression bomb. Attackers can upload a small compressed PDF that decompresses to hundreds of megabytes, exhausting memory and crashing the Node.js process or freezing browser tabs during PDF parsing. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-34211 6.9 medium 0.00% nyariv, sandboxjs SandboxJS is a JavaScript sandboxing library. Prior to 0.8.36, the @nyariv/sandboxjs parser contains unbounded recursion in the restOfExp function and the lispify/lispifyExpr call chain. An attacker can crash any Node.js process that parses untrusted input by supplying deeply nested expressions (e.g., ~2000 nested parentheses), causing a RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded that terminates the process. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.8.36. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-47141 6.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.4, NodeVM exposes some process-wide observability builtins when they are allowed through require.builtin. The diagnostics_channel, async_hooks, and perf_hooks builtins are not blocked by the dangerous builtin denylist. These modules are process-wide, not sandbox-local. Sandboxed code can use them to observe host application data across the vm2 boundary. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.4. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-47248 6.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to versions 8.6.78 and 9.9.1-alpha.2, Parse Server's GraphQL endpoint discloses schema metadata to unauthenticated callers through Did you mean ...? suggestions embedded in GraphQL validation-error messages. An unauthenticated caller who knows only the public application id can iteratively send malformed queries to reconstruct class names, field names, argument names, mutation names, and input-object fields. This issue has been patched in versions 8.6.78 and 9.9.1-alpha.2. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-50008 6.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. From version 9.8.0 to before version 9.9.1-alpha.3, the routeAllowList server option restricts external client access to a configured list of REST API routes. The check is only enforced as Express middleware against the outer HTTP request URL, so the /batch handler dispatches each sub-request to the internal router without re-running the allow-list check. An external caller whose outer route matches batch can issue batch sub-requests to any REST API route that the operator omitted from the allow-list. Authentication, ACL, CLP, and other inner-route authorization controls still apply — only the operator-configured route firewall is bypassed. This issue has been patched in version 9.9.1-alpha.3. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-53726 6.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to versions 8.6.80 and 9.9.1-alpha.6, a relation query using the $relatedTo operator could read the membership of a Relation field even when that field was hidden from the requesting client by protectedFields, and even when the object owning the relation was not readable by the client under its ACL or class-level permissions. The request requires only the public API credentials that Parse clients normally carry — no user session, master key, or Cloud Code is needed. As a result, an unauthenticated client who knows or obtains the owning object's objectId could enumerate the objects linked through a protected relation, or combine the operator with an objectId constraint to use it as a membership oracle — confirming whether a specific object is linked to a private parent. This affects applications that rely on protectedFields or object ACLs to keep Relation membership confidential, such as private group memberships, block lists, or account-to-resource associations. This issue has been patched in versions 8.6.80 and 9.9.1-alpha.6. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-53655 6.9 medium 0.00% isaacs, tar node-tar is a full-featured Tar for Node.js. Prior to 7.5.16, tar (node-tar) applies a PAX extended header's size= record (and other PAX overrides) to the next header entry of any type, including intermediary metadata headers such as a GNU long-name (L) or long-link (K) entry. Per POSIX pax, a PAX extended header (x) describes the next file entry, not the intermediary extension headers that may sit between the x header and the file it annotates. Because node-tar lets the PAX size override the byte length of an intervening L/K/x header, an attacker can desynchronize node-tar's stream cursor relative to every other mainstream tar implementation (GNU tar, libarchive/bsdtar, Python tarfile, and the now-fixed tar-rs / astral-tokio-tar). The result is a tar parser interpretation differential (CWE-436): a single crafted archive yields a different set of members under node-tar than under the reference tar tools. An attacker can use this to hide a member from one parser while it is visible to another, which defeats security tooling whose scanner and extractor disagree on archive contents (e.g. a malware/secret scanner that lists entries with one library while a downstream step extracts with another) This vulnerability is fixed in 7.5.16. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-55602 6.9 medium 0.00% chimurai, http-proxy-middleware http-proxy-middleware is node.js http-proxy middleware. From 0.16.0 until 2.0.10, 3.0.6, and 4.1.0, http-proxy-middleware documents router proxy-table entries as host, path, or host+path selectors, but the host+path implementation uses unanchored substring matching on attacker-controlled request metadata. As a result, a crafted Host header that is only a superstring match for a configured host+path key can still route a request to an unintended backend. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.0.10, 3.0.6, and 4.1.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-113653 6.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0, viewRole is not applied to anonymous visitors when a developer exposes user objects through a publicly rendered relationship or expressly enabled public API. Inadequately limited templates, including serialization of an entire related user object, can conditionally disclose user fields, but relationships do not automatically publish full user objects and password hashes are stored separately and are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 4.33.0. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-70594 6.7 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 2.2.0 until 6.54.1, Ghost Admin did not invalidate existing sessions on login which could have allowed for session fixation attacks. Successful exploitation would have required another vulnerability on the same domain where Ghost Admin was hosted. This issue is fixed in version 6.54.1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-44217 6.6 medium 0.00% no CPE yet sse-channel is an SSE-implementation which can be used to any node.js http request/response stream. Prior to 4.0.1, implementations that allow user-provided values to be passed to event, retry or id fields are susceptible to event spoofing, where an attacker could inject arbitrary messages into the stream. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.0.1. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-70593 6.6 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 0.10.0 until 6.54.1, a vulnerability in custom themes allowed a staff user to write files outside of the uploads directory. This could be used to alter the behavior of the installation through custom theme upload path traversal in LocalStorageBase and theme storage name handling. This issue is fixed in version 6.54.1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-116674 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet systeminformation is a System and OS information library for node.js. Prior to 5.33.13, networkStats(ifaces) in lib/network.js on FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and NetBSD stores per-interface data in the plain-object _network cache and indexes it with the sanitized caller-controlled interface name. Passing proto causes the inherited Object.prototype value to be used instead of creating an own cache entry, so calcNetworkSpeed() writes rx_bytes, tx_bytes, rx_sec, tx_sec, ms, last_ms, and operstate onto Object.prototype. The polluted property names are fixed and their values come from interface statistics, but inherited-name collisions and enumerable keys can corrupt application branching, serialization, configuration merging, validation, or lookup behavior. This issue is fixed in version 5.33.13. Tue 27 Oct
CVE-2026-41885 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet i18next-locize-backend is a simple i18next backend for locize.com which can be used in Node.js, in the browser and for Deno. Prior to version 9.0.2, i18next-locize-backend interpolates lng, ns, projectId, and version directly into the configured loadPath / privatePath / addPath / updatePath / getLanguagesPath URL templates with no path-component validation and no encoding. When an application exposes any of these values to user-controlled input (?lng= / ?ns= query parameters via i18next-browser-languagedetector, cookies, request headers, or a URL-derived projectId), a crafted value can change the structure of the outgoing request URL. Affected call sites in lib/index.js (pre-patch): the interpolate() helper is used at the five URL-build sites — _readAny/read (line 415 for private, 426 for public), getLanguages (lines 271 and 296), and writePage (lines 616 and 622) for the missing-key and update POST paths. The helper interpolate in lib/utils.js substitutes raw values with no encoding. This issue has been patched in version 9.0.2. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-44645 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet LiquidJS is a Shopify/GitHub Pages compatible template engine written in pure JavaScript. In versions 10.25.7 and below, the renderLimit option can be fully bypassed by a {% for %} (or {% tablerow %}) tag whose body is empty. The renderLimit option is documented in docs/source/tutorials/dos.md as the mechanism that "mitigates this by limiting the time consumed by each render() call." The per-iteration time check is reached only when the body contains at least one template node, so a template such as {%- for i in (1..N) -%}{%- endfor -%} iterates the full collection without ever consulting renderLimit. With a configured renderLimit of 50 ms, a single parseAndRenderSync call has been observed to consume 2.26 seconds (~45× over the limit) and scales linearly with N up to memoryLimit, allowing a low-privileged template author to wedge an event-loop thread for an attacker-chosen duration. Deployments that rely on a finite renderLimit for DoS protection (common in multi-tenant template-authoring environments) can still be forced by a single crafted template to monopolize a Node.js event-loop worker for attacker-controlled time, potentially stalling in-flight requests, with availability impact only. This issue has been fixed in version 10.26.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-49411 6.5 medium 0.00% deno Deno is a JavaScript, TypeScript, and WebAssembly runtime. Prior to 2.8.0, the Node.js compatibility TCP path checked the permission against the original hostname string before resolution and then did not re-check after resolution. A caller could therefore pass a numeric alias of an IP address (for example the decimal integer 2130706433 or the hex form 0x7f000001, both of which resolve to 127.0.0.1) and reach the denied destination through node:net.connect or node:http.request's { host, port } options form. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.8.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-58481 6.5 medium 0.00% network-ai Network-AI is a TypeScript/Node.js multi-agent orchestrator. Prior to version 5.12.2, `AgentRuntime` promises scoped file access under a configured sandbox `basePath`, but its path containment checks use raw string prefix tests. A sandbox base such as `/tmp/network-ai-sandbox` also matches a sibling path such as `/tmp/network-ai-sandbox_evil/secret.txt`. An agent/user that can call `AgentRuntime.readFile()` or `AgentRuntime.listDir()` can read or list files outside the intended sandbox when the target path is in a sibling directory sharing the base path prefix. This breaks the documented sandbox boundary. The issue is fixed in v5.12.2. `SandboxPolicy.resolvePath()` and `isPathAllowed()` now use separator-anchored prefix checks (`resolved === base || resolved.startsWith(base + path.sep)`) for both the allow-list and block-list. A sibling directory that merely shares a name prefix (e.g. `/srv/app-evil` vs base `/srv/app`) is no longer treated as in-scope. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-63667 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 3.6.2, the import-export module in packages/import-export/lib/formats/gzip.js constructs an attachment source path from the attacker-controlled _id, name, and extension fields in aposAttachments.json without ensuring that the resolved path remains under the extracted attachments directory, allowing an authenticated contributor to import a crafted archive, read a host file with an allowed extension, and publish the copied file at an unauthenticated uploads URL. This issue is fixed in version 3.6.2. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-63669 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.32.0, the page module's move() operation fails to enforce the destination parent's _create permission because its oldParent archive condition disables the check for ordinary moves, allowing an authenticated editor or contributor to use _targetId and _position through the page REST update endpoint to move a controlled page into a restricted subtree and make nudgeNewPeers() updateMany re-rank protected sibling pages. This issue is fixed in version 4.32.0. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-113649 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 3.7.1 of the import-export module and 4.34.0 of core ApostropheCMS, an editor who can import an enabled content type but lacks its stronger publication role can cause import write helpers to create, replace, or remove published variants without the normal publish permission and lifecycle checks. This issue is fixed in import-export 3.7.1 and ApostropheCMS 4.34.0. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-112956 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 3.7.1 of the import-export module, duplicate-import continuation accepts client-controlled replacement choices without binding them to a user-owned server-side analysis or authorizing the canonical target. On an import-enabled localized type, a contributor with draft editing authority can cross the publication boundary by selecting a published document for replacement, although the current assessment is based on remediation review rather than a repeated end-to-end reproduction. This issue is fixed in version 3.7.1. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-107301 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet msgpack5 is a msgpack v5 implementation for node.js and the browser. Prior to 6.1.0, constructing msgpack5 with an empty or partial options object disables the default protoAction: 'error' protection. A decoded map containing a __proto__ key can then replace the decoded object's prototype, potentially changing inherited properties or downstream behavior, although Object.prototype is not modified globally. This issue is fixed in version 6.1.0. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-35515 6.3 medium 0.00% nestjs, nest Nest is a framework for building scalable Node.js server-side applications. Prior to 11.1.18, SseStream._transform() interpolates message.type and message.id directly into Server-Sent Events text protocol output without sanitizing newline characters (\r, \n). Since the SSE protocol treats both \r and \n as field delimiters and \n\n as event boundaries, an attacker who can influence these fields through upstream data sources can inject arbitrary SSE events, spoof event types, and corrupt reconnection state. This vulnerability is fixed in 11.1.18. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-39321 6.3 medium 0.00% parseplatform, parse-server Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to 9.8.0-alpha.6 and 8.6.74, he login endpoint response time differs measurably depending on whether the submitted username or email exists in the database. When a user is not found, the server responds immediately. When a user exists but the password is wrong, a bcrypt comparison runs first, adding significant latency. This timing difference allows an unauthenticated attacker to enumerate valid usernames. This vulnerability is fixed in 9.8.0-alpha.6 and 8.6.74. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-8723 6.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet ### Summary `qs.stringify` throws `TypeError` when called with `arrayFormat: 'comma'` and `encodeValuesOnly: true` on an array containing `null` or `undefined`. The throw is synchronous and not handled by any of qs's null-related options (`skipNulls`, `strictNullHandling`). ### Details In the comma + `encodeValuesOnly` branch, `lib/stringify.js:145` mapped the array through the raw encoder before joining: ```js obj = utils.maybeMap(obj, encoder); ``` `utils.encode` (`lib/utils.js:195`) reads `str.length` with no null guard, so a `null` or `undefined` element throws `TypeError`. `skipNulls` and `strictNullHandling` are both checked in the per-element loop below this line and never get a chance to run. Same class of bug as the filter-array path fixed in 0c180a4. The vulnerable shape of the comma + `encodeValuesOnly` branch was introduced in 4c4b23d ("encode comma values more consistently", PR #463, 2023-01-19), first released in v6.11.1. #### PoC ```js const qs = require('qs'); qs.stringify({ a: [null, 'b'] }, { arrayFormat: 'comma', encodeValuesOnly: true }); qs.stringify({ a: [undefined, 'b'] }, { arrayFormat: 'comma', encodeValuesOnly: true }); qs.stringify({ a: [null] }, { arrayFormat: 'comma', encodeValuesOnly: true }); // TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'length') // at encode (lib/utils.js:195:13) // at Object.maybeMap (lib/utils.js:322:37) // at stringify (lib/stringify.js:145:25) ``` #### Fix `lib/stringify.js:145`, applied in 21f80b3 on `main` and released as v6.15.2: ```diff - obj = utils.maybeMap(obj, encoder); + obj = utils.maybeMap(obj, function (v) { + return v == null ? v : encoder(v); + }); ``` `null` and `undefined` now pass through `maybeMap` unchanged and reach the `join(',')` step as-is. For `{ a: [null, 'b'] }` this produces `a=,b`, matching the non-`encodeValuesOnly` comma path (which already joins before encoding and produces `a=%2Cb` for the same input). Single-element `[null]` arrays still collapse via the existing `obj.join(',') || null` and remain subject to `skipNulls` / `strictNullHandling` in the main loop. ### Affected versions `>=6.11.1 <6.15.2` — fixed in v6.15.2. The vulnerable code shape was introduced in 4c4b23d and first shipped in v6.11.1. Earlier versions — including all of 6.7.x, 6.8.x, 6.9.x, 6.10.x, and 6.11.0 — implemented the comma + `encodeValuesOnly` path differently (joining before encoding) and are not affected. Empirically verified across released versions. ### Impact Application code that calls `qs.stringify` with both `arrayFormat: 'comma'` and `encodeValuesOnly: true` (both non-default) on input that may contain a `null` or `undefined` array element will throw synchronously instead of producing a query string. In a typical Node.js HTTP framework (Express, Fastify, Koa, hapi) the sync throw is caught by the framework's error boundary and the affected request returns a 500; the worker process does not exit and subsequent requests are unaffected. The "kills the worker process" framing applies only to call sites outside a request-handler error boundary (background jobs, startup paths, stream pipelines) or to deployments with framework error handling explicitly disabled. The vulnerable input is a `null` or `undefined` entry inside an array; this is reachable from JSON request bodies or from application code constructing arrays from user input, but not from standard HTML form submissions (which produce strings or omitted fields, not literal `null`). Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-112943 6.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet launch-editor allows users to open files with line numbers in editor from Node.js. Prior to 2.14.2, launch-editor did not escape % on Windows when passing an argument to cmd. When an environment variable contained a malicious value, it was possible that that content to be executed. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.14.2. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-110816 6.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet ### Summary `qs.stringify` with `arrayFormat: 'comma'` throws `TypeError: Cannot convert object to primitive value` when an array element cannot be coerced to a string, such as an object with an own non-callable `toString` (`{ "toString": "x" }`) or a null-prototype object. The comma format joins array elements with `Array.prototype.join` and, under `encodeValuesOnly`, first passes each element through `String()` in `utils.encode`; neither guards against an element whose string coercion fails. ### Details In `lib/stringify.js`, the comma branch collapses the array with `obj.join(',')`. For an element whose own `toString` is not callable, `ToPrimitive` skips it, falls through to `Object.prototype.valueOf` (which returns the object itself), and throws. Under `encodeValuesOnly: true`, the same element first reaches `String(str)` in `utils.encode` (`lib/utils.js`) and throws there. Nested arrays (`{ "a": [[{ "toString": "x" }]] }`) throw the same way, through `Array.prototype.toString`. The `indices`, `brackets`, and `repeat` formats walk into object elements instead of coercing them, and are not affected. Such elements can come from untrusted input. `JSON.parse` produces `{ "a": [{ "toString": "x" }] }` with no qs option involved. `qs.parse("a[0][toString]=x", { allowPrototypes: true })` keeps the `toString` key, and `qs.parse("a[][b]=c", { plainObjects: true })` produces a null-prototype element; the default parse options drop `toString` and produce ordinary objects, which do not throw. Express 4's default `query parser`, Express 5's `extended` query parser, and body-parser's `urlencoded({ extended: true })` all call `qs.parse` with `allowPrototypes: true`. #### PoC ```js var qs = require("qs"); qs.stringify(JSON.parse("{\"a\":[{\"toString\":\"x\"}]}"), { arrayFormat: "comma" }); qs.stringify(qs.parse("a[0][toString]=x", { allowPrototypes: true }), { arrayFormat: "comma" }); qs.stringify(qs.parse("a[][b]=c", { plainObjects: true }), { arrayFormat: "comma", encodeValuesOnly: true }); // TypeError: Cannot convert object to primitive value ``` #### Fix Applied in a952e75 on `main` and released as v6.16.1: an element whose string coercion would fail is coerced to its primitive `valueOf`, if any, or else to `Object.prototype.toString`, so it renders as `[object Object]`, the same as any other object element already does under the comma format. Nested arrays are walked the way `join` walks them. Every input that did not previously throw serializes exactly as before, and a `toString` or `valueOf` that itself throws still propagates. ### Affected versions `>=6.7.0 <6.16.1`, fixed in v6.16.1. The `join` path was introduced with the comma format in b84acba and first shipped in v6.7.0; v6.6.x and earlier ignore `arrayFormat: 'comma'` and are not affected. The `encodeValuesOnly` `String()` site was introduced in 4c4b23d (v6.11.1); before that, the same input throws at `join`. Every release from v6.7.0 through v6.16.0 is affected. ### Impact An unauthenticated request can make any code path that re-serializes attacker-influenced data with `qs.stringify` and `arrayFormat: 'comma'` (for example, rebuilding a query string from `req.query` for a redirect or an upstream request, or serializing a parsed JSON body) throw synchronously. In a typical Node.js HTTP framework the throw is caught by the framework error boundary and the affected request returns a 500; the process survives and other requests are unaffected. Where the call runs outside an error boundary, such as an `async` Express 4 handler (where the throw becomes an unhandled promise rejection) or a bare `http` request handler, the process exits, so the impact in that case depends on the application error handling rather than on qs. The default `arrayFormat` (`indices`) is not affected. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-71430 6.2 medium 0.00% no CPE yet node-re2 provides RE2 regular expression bindings for Node.js. Prior to version 1.25.1, the WrappedRE2::Replace function built its replacement result and passed it to V8 using ToLocalChecked without checking for the empty MaybeLocal that V8 returns when the resulting string or buffer exceeds V8's maximum string length. When a global replace uses an output amplifying replacement template, the result can grow quadratically with the input size, and once the result exceeds V8's maximum string length, the unchecked ToLocalChecked call causes a fatal, uncatchable process abort instead of a catchable exception. This issue is fixed in version 1.25.1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-68499 6.2 medium 0.00% no CPE yet re2 provides Node.js bindings for Google's RE2 regular expression engine. Prior to 1.25.2, re2's String.prototype.match implementation with a global RE2 pattern that can match the empty string fails to advance its native matching cursor in lib/match.cc, causing an infinite loop and unbounded native memory growth that blocks the event loop and can exhaust host memory. This issue is fixed in 1.25.2. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-113659 6.1 medium 0.00% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0, an unauthenticated attacker can send a crafted link whose query string is automatically parsed by apos.http.parseQuery when an authenticated victim loads a page with the admin bundle. The parser accepts the special __proto__, constructor, and prototype path keys, allowing browser prototype mutation that can reach an unsafe DOM sink and execute script in the victim's session; anonymous visitors do not load the affected admin context. This issue is fixed in version 4.33.0. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-40186 6.1 medium 0.00% apostrophecms, sanitize-html ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. A regression introduced in commit 49d0bb7, included in versions 2.17.1 of the ApostropheCMS-maintained sanitize-html package bypasses allowedTags enforcement for text inside nonTextTagsArray elements (textarea and option). ApostropheCMS version 4.28.0 is affected through its dependency on the vulnerable sanitize-html version. The code at packages/sanitize-html/index.js:569-573 incorrectly assumes that htmlparser2 does not decode entities inside these elements and skips escaping, but htmlparser2 10.x does decode entities before passing text to the ontext callback. As a result, entity-encoded HTML is decoded by the parser and then written directly to the output as literal HTML characters, completely bypassing the allowedTags filter. An attacker can inject arbitrary tags including XSS payloads through any allowed option or textarea element using entity encoding. This affects non-default configurations where option or textarea are included in allowedTags, which is common in form builders and CMS platforms. This issue has been fixed in version 2.17.2 of sanitize-html and 4.29.0 of ApostropheCMS. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-58413 6.1 medium 0.00% network-ai Network-AI is a TypeScript/Node.js multi-agent orchestrator. Prior to version 5.12.2, `EnvironmentManager.restore(env, backupId)` computes the backup path with `join(envDir, '.backups', backupId)` and only checks that this path exists. It does not resolve the result or verify that it remains under `data/<env>/.backups`. A caller can pass a traversal backup ID such as `../../../outside/source-dir` to restore files from an arbitrary directory into the target environment data directory. The issue is fixed in v5.12.2. `restore()` now validates `backupId` against `/^[\w\-]+$/` and asserts `dirname(resolve(join(backupsDir, backupId))) === resolve(backupsDir)` before touching the filesystem. Backup IDs containing path separators or `..` are rejected, so a crafted ID can no longer copy directories from outside `.backups/` into the environment. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-63670 6.1 medium 0.00% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 2.17.6, sanitizeHtml() can pass disallowed executable markup through packages/sanitize-html/index.js when textarea or xmp is included in allowedTags because a literal solidus after the raw-text end-tag name is treated as text by htmlparser2 and the ontext handler emits that content without escaping, while a browser parses the following img onerror markup as active HTML. This issue is fixed in version 2.17.6. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-110306 6.1 medium 0.00% no CPE yet fast-uri is a dependency-free RFC 3986 URI parser and serializer for Node.js. In versions before 2.4.8, from 3.0.0 through 3.1.8, and from 4.0.0 through 4.2.2, fast-uri percent-decodes the scheme component with the legacy global unescape() function before validating it, so an input whose decoded scheme is a dangerous token is emitted as a live scheme even though RFC 3986 does not allow percent-encoding in a scheme and no other parser accepts it. An application that screens dangerous schemes on the raw input and then stores or renders the normalized or resolved result can turn an inert string into an executable javascript, data, or vbscript URL, producing a stored or reflected cross-site scripting vector, and the equal() comparison treats an encoded and a plain scheme as the same, which can bypass equality-based allowlists. The issue is fixed in fast-uri 2.4.8, 3.1.9, and 4.2.3, and users should upgrade to one of these versions or later. As a workaround, reject input whose scheme part contains a percent sign, or check the parsed scheme against an allowlist after normalization and use that same parsed result rather than the raw string. 20 Oct
CVE-2025-62595 6.1 medium 0.00% koajs, koa Koa is expressive middleware for Node.js using ES2017 async functions. In versions 2.16.2 to before 2.16.3 and 3.0.1 to before 3.0.3, a bypass to CVE-2025-8129 was discovered in the Koa.js framework affecting its back redirect functionality. In certain circumstances, an attacker can manipulate the Referer header to force a user’s browser to navigate to an external, potentially malicious website. This occurs because the implementation incorrectly treats some specially crafted URLs as safe relative paths. Exploiting this vulnerability could allow attackers to perform phishing, social engineering, or other redirect-based attacks on users of affected applications. This issue has been patched in version 3.0.3. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-111172 6.0 medium 0.00% no CPE yet @casl/ability 6.7.5 before 7.0.2 contains a prototype pollution vulnerability in rulesToFields() that allows attackers to modify inherited builtins via dotted condition keys. Attackers controlling rule conditions can supply keys like 'toString.call' to alter shared builtin functions process-wide, causing denial of service for the Node.js process. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-116689 5.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet follow-redirects is a Node.js HTTP and HTTPS client wrapper that automatically follows redirects. From 1.16.0 until 1.16.2, the documented sensitiveHeaders option is checked with value instanceof Array, so an array created in another JavaScript realm is replaced with an empty list even though Array.isArray recognizes it. When a request then follows an attacker-controlled cross-origin redirect, a custom credential header named in that discarded list can be forwarded to the redirect destination. This issue is fixed in version 1.16.2. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-41213 5.9 medium 0.00% node-oauth, node-oauth\/oauth2-server @node-oauth/oauth2-server is a module for implementing an OAuth2 server in Node.js. The token exchange path accepts RFC7636-invalid code_verifier values (including one-character strings) for S256 PKCE flows. Because short/weak verifiers are accepted and failed verifier attempts do not consume the authorization code, an attacker who intercepts an authorization code can brute-force code_verifier guesses online until token issuance succeeds. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-53725 5.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. From version 9.8.0 to before version 9.9.1-alpha.5, apps that enable MFA and deny get on the _User class via Class-Level Permissions could expose sensitive user data through the /login and /verifyPassword endpoints. These endpoints re-fetch the user through the access-controlled query pipeline (CLP, protectedFields, auth-adapter sanitizers) before responding. When that re-fetch was denied by the _User get permission, the server fell back to the raw database row, exposing raw authData (including MFA TOTP secrets and recovery codes) and fields hidden by protectedFields (when protectedFieldsOwnerExempt is false). /verifyPassword is the most severe: with only a username and password (no session or MFA token), an attacker who knows a victim's password could retrieve their MFA secret and recovery codes, defeating the second factor. This issue has been patched in version 9.9.1-alpha.5. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-58482 5.9 medium 0.00% network-ai Network-AI, a TypeScript/Node.js multi-agent orchestrator, has a shipped, exported, documented feature called `ApprovalInbox` (`lib/approval-inbox.ts`). It is the network surface of the human-in-the-loop Approval Gate, which `ApprovalGate` uses to require explicit human approval for high-risk operations. The HTTP server it exposes has no authentication of any kind and sets `Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *` on every route, including the state-changing `POST /approvals/:id/approve` and `/deny`. As a result, in versions 5.0.0 through 5.12.1, any party who can send an HTTP request to the inbox port — a co-located process, a container/SSRF on the same host, a remote client when the operator binds a non-loopback address, or any website the operator visits in a browser (via the wildcard CORS) — can enumerate pending approvals and approve them, defeating the entire human-in-the-loop control and causing the gated high-risk action (e.g. a shell command the agent was holding for review) to execute without consent. This issue is fixed in v5.12.2. `ApprovalInbox` now accepts a `secret` option. When set, the mutating endpoints `POST /:id/approve` and `POST /:id/deny` require an `Authorization: Bearer <secret>` header, validated in constant time with `crypto.timingSafeEqual`. `startServer()` already binds to `127.0.0.1` by default; operators exposing the inbox on a network must set a secret. CVE-2026-113710 5.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0, the self-service password-change endpoint verifies the current password but does not use the login module’s failed-attempt counter, throttle, delay, or lockout mechanism. An attacker with a valid authenticated session can submit repeated guesses for the current password without receiving a lockout or throttle response. This issue is fixed in version 4.33.0. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-109461 5.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Origin validation error in Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL) for Node.js allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-107299 5.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet msgpack5 is a msgpack v5 implementation for node.js and the browser. Prior to 6.1.0, the streaming decoder treats the reserved MessagePack byte 0xc1 as incomplete input instead of invalid input. When 0xc1 begins a stream, subsequent data remains buffered while the decoder waits for bytes that cannot make the value valid, allowing a remote peer to exhaust memory. This issue is fixed in version 6.1.0. 9 Oct
CVE-2026-107297 5.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet msgpack5 is a msgpack v5 implementation for node.js and the browser. Prior to 6.1.0, the streaming decoder reparses an incomplete array or map from the beginning whenever another chunk arrives. A remote peer can split one valid MessagePack container across many small chunks, causing completed elements to be decoded repeatedly, producing quadratic CPU use and blocking the event loop. This issue is fixed in version 6.1.0. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-107382 5.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. From 3.3.0 until 3.5.4, the zero-configuration TLS fingerprint-validation path calls Ed25519PasswordAuth.hash() through Authentication.validateFingerPrint, but Ed25519PasswordAuth.hash() references a seed identifier that is not in scope. Exposure requires a MariaDB server reached over TCP, TLS enabled with ssl: true or an ssl object whose rejectUnauthorized value is not false, a password set, no ssl.ca configured, and client_ed25519 negotiated as the authentication plugin. Under those conditions, a legitimate server, malicious server, or network attacker presenting a self-signed certificate can reach this path and cause a synchronous ReferenceError to escape the socket data handler. Under Node.js default uncaught-exception behavior, the client process terminates, causing denial of service. Configurations using a provided CA, rejectUnauthorized: false, another authentication plugin, or a Unix socket do not reach this vulnerable path. This issue is fixed in version 3.5.4. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-44002 5.8 medium 0.00% vm2_project, vm2 vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.0, vm2's CallSite wrapper class (intended as a safe wrapper for V8's native CallSite) blocks getThis() and getFunction() to prevent host object leakage, but allows getFileName() to return unsanitized host absolute paths. Any sandboxed code can extract the full directory structure, library paths, and framework versions of the host server. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-44003 5.8 medium 0.00% vm2_project, vm2 vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.0, vm2's code transformer has a performance optimization that skips AST analysis when the code does not contain catch, import, or async keywords. This fast-path bypass allows sandboxed code to directly access the internal VM2_INTERNAL_STATE_DO_NOT_USE_OR_PROGRAM_WILL_FAIL variable, which exposes internal security functions (handleException, wrapWith, import). This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0. Mon 26 Oct
