CVE-2025-39726 4.7 medium 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/ism: fix concurrency management in ism_cmd() The s390x ISM device data sheet clearly states that only one request-response sequence is allowable per ISM function at any point in time. Unfortunately as of today the s390/ism driver in Linux does not honor that requirement. This patch aims to rectify that. This problem was discovered based on Aliaksei's bug report which states that for certain workloads the ISM functions end up entering error state (with PEC 2 as seen from the logs) after a while and as a consequence connections handled by the respective function break, and for future connection requests the ISM device is not considered -- given it is in a dysfunctional state. During further debugging PEC 3A was observed as well. A kernel message like [ 1211.244319] zpci: 061a:00:00.0: Event 0x2 reports an error for PCI function 0x61a is a reliable indicator of the stated function entering error state with PEC 2. Let me also point out that a kernel message like [ 1211.244325] zpci: 061a:00:00.0: The ism driver bound to the device does not support error recovery is a reliable indicator that the ISM function won't be auto-recovered because the ISM driver currently lacks support for it. On a technical level, without this synchronization, commands (inputs to the FW) may be partially or fully overwritten (corrupted) by another CPU trying to issue commands on the same function. There is hard evidence that this can lead to DMB token values being used as DMB IOVAs, leading to PEC 2 PCI events indicating invalid DMA. But this is only one of the failure modes imaginable. In theory even completely losing one command and executing another one twice and then trying to interpret the outputs as if the command we intended to execute was actually executed and not the other one is also possible. Frankly, I don't feel confident about providing an exhaustive list of possible consequences. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-21938 4.7 medium 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: fix 'scheduling while atomic' in mptcp_pm_nl_append_new_local_addr If multiple connection requests attempt to create an implicit mptcp endpoint in parallel, more than one caller may end up in mptcp_pm_nl_append_new_local_addr because none found the address in local_addr_list during their call to mptcp_pm_nl_get_local_id. In this case, the concurrent new_local_addr calls may delete the address entry created by the previous caller. These deletes use synchronize_rcu, but this is not permitted in some of the contexts where this function may be called. During packet recv, the caller may be in a rcu read critical section and have preemption disabled. An example stack: BUG: scheduling while atomic: swapper/2/0/0x00000302 Call Trace: <IRQ> dump_stack_lvl (lib/dump_stack.c:117 (discriminator 1)) dump_stack (lib/dump_stack.c:124) __schedule_bug (kernel/sched/core.c:5943) schedule_debug.constprop.0 (arch/x86/include/asm/preempt.h:33 kernel/sched/core.c:5970) __schedule (arch/x86/include/asm/jump_label.h:27 include/linux/jump_label.h:207 kernel/sched/features.h:29 kernel/sched/core.c:6621) schedule (arch/x86/include/asm/preempt.h:84 kernel/sched/core.c:6804 kernel/sched/core.c:6818) schedule_timeout (kernel/time/timer.c:2160) wait_for_completion (kernel/sched/completion.c:96 kernel/sched/completion.c:116 kernel/sched/completion.c:127 kernel/sched/completion.c:148) __wait_rcu_gp (include/linux/rcupdate.h:311 kernel/rcu/update.c:444) synchronize_rcu (kernel/rcu/tree.c:3609) mptcp_pm_nl_append_new_local_addr (net/mptcp/pm_netlink.c:966 net/mptcp/pm_netlink.c:1061) mptcp_pm_nl_get_local_id (net/mptcp/pm_netlink.c:1164) mptcp_pm_get_local_id (net/mptcp/pm.c:420) subflow_check_req (net/mptcp/subflow.c:98 net/mptcp/subflow.c:213) subflow_v4_route_req (net/mptcp/subflow.c:305) tcp_conn_request (net/ipv4/tcp_input.c:7216) subflow_v4_conn_request (net/mptcp/subflow.c:651) tcp_rcv_state_process (net/ipv4/tcp_input.c:6709) tcp_v4_do_rcv (net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.c:1934) tcp_v4_rcv (net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.c:2334) ip_protocol_deliver_rcu (net/ipv4/ip_input.c:205 (discriminator 1)) ip_local_deliver_finish (include/linux/rcupdate.h:813 net/ipv4/ip_input.c:234) ip_local_deliver (include/linux/netfilter.h:314 include/linux/netfilter.h:308 net/ipv4/ip_input.c:254) ip_sublist_rcv_finish (include/net/dst.h:461 net/ipv4/ip_input.c:580) ip_sublist_rcv (net/ipv4/ip_input.c:640) ip_list_rcv (net/ipv4/ip_input.c:675) __netif_receive_skb_list_core (net/core/dev.c:5583 net/core/dev.c:5631) netif_receive_skb_list_internal (net/core/dev.c:5685 net/core/dev.c:5774) napi_complete_done (include/linux/list.h:37 include/net/gro.h:449 include/net/gro.h:444 net/core/dev.c:6114) igb_poll (drivers/net/ethernet/intel/igb/igb_main.c:8244) igb __napi_poll (net/core/dev.c:6582) net_rx_action (net/core/dev.c:6653 net/core/dev.c:6787) handle_softirqs (kernel/softirq.c:553) __irq_exit_rcu (kernel/softirq.c:588 kernel/softirq.c:427 kernel/softirq.c:636) irq_exit_rcu (kernel/softirq.c:651) common_interrupt (arch/x86/kernel/irq.c:247 (discriminator 14)) </IRQ> This problem seems particularly prevalent if the user advertises an endpoint that has a different external vs internal address. In the case where the external address is advertised and multiple connections already exist, multiple subflow SYNs arrive in parallel which tends to trigger the race during creation of the first local_addr_list entries which have the internal address instead. Fix by skipping the replacement of an existing implicit local address if called via mptcp_pm_nl_get_local_id. 15 Oct
CVE-2025-66286 4.7 medium 0.00% no CPE yet An API design flaw in WebKitGTK and WPE WebKit allows untrusted web content to unexpectedly perform IP connections, DNS lookups, and HTTP requests. Applications expect to use the WebPage::send-request signal handler to approve or reject all network requests. However, certain types of HTTP requests bypass this signal handler. 14 Oct

CVE-2026-107674 4.4 medium 0.00% ibm, i IBM i 7.3, 7.4, 7.5, and 7.6 is vulnerable to a denial of service to Digital Certificate Manager (DCM) for System TLS using applications attempting to create secure network connections. A bad actor could use this to prevent a service from starting or cause it to fallback to non-secure connections. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-116774 4.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet russh is a Rust SSH client and server library that includes an SSH agent protocol implementation. From 0.60.0 until 0.65.0, channel-open parsing accepts a peer-declared maximum_packet_size of zero and passes it into ChannelTx::poll_writable in russh/src/channels/io/tx.rs. The Channel::data, Channel::make_writer, and Channel::into_stream asynchronous write paths then calculate a writable size of zero and remain pending forever because window adjustments cannot satisfy a static zero packet maximum. An authenticated client can strand server writes, and a malicious server can strand client writes, allowing affected tasks, channels, and connections to accumulate without surfacing an error. This issue is fixed in version 0.65.0. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-81039 4.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet The Bluetooth host pre-allocates a bt_conn object (a "reservation") from the fixed acl_conns[] pool for every connectable advertising set it starts, in le_adv_start_add_conn() in subsys/bluetooth/host/adv.c. When an incoming peripheral connection completes, find_pending_connect() in subsys/bluetooth/host/hci_core.c looked that reservation up using only the identity and the peer address, with a directed-then-undirected fallback, and had no knowledge of which advertising set actually terminated. With CONFIG_BT_EXT_ADV_MAX_ADV_SET > 1, where the LE Enhanced Connection Complete event is cached until the LE Advertising Set Terminated event identifies the set, this lookup can return the reservation belonging to a different, still-running advertising set. The defect is reachable over the air by any adjacent device. If an application runs two connectable extended advertising sets on the same identity — one undirected and one directed at a peer P (the common "directed reconnect to a bonded central while still accepting new centrals" pattern) — a remote initiator whose address maps to P connecting on the undirected set causes the directed set's reservation to be consumed instead. The initiator address is chosen freely by the remote device and is not authenticated at link establishment, so no bonding, pairing or prior relationship is required to trigger the mis-attribution. The undirected set's own reservation is then stranded: its BT_ADV_ENABLED flag has already been cleared, and le_adv_stop_free_conn() — the only path that returns a reservation to the pool — is reached only for sets that are still enabled, so bt_le_ext_adv_stop() returns early and the object is never released. Each occurrence permanently consumes one CONFIG_BT_MAX_CONN slot until bt_disable() or reboot. In application patterns that restart the directed advertising set after each disconnect, an attacker can repeat the sequence until the pool is exhausted, after which connectable advertising fails with -ENOMEM and the device can no longer accept connections. As a side effect the directed set keeps advertising without a reservation, so a genuine connection on it is dropped by bt_hci_disconnect(). The impact is availability only; no memory corruption or information disclosure results, and configurations with a single advertising set are unaffected. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2025-14969 4.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in Hibernate Reactive. When an HTTP endpoint is exposed to perform database operations, a remote client can prematurely close the HTTP connection. This action may lead to leaking connections from the database connection pool, potentially causing a Denial of Service (DoS) by exhausting available database connections. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-110453 4.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Nix before 2.35.3, when unsandboxed on macOS or FreeBSD, incorrectly allows connections made by build users from daemon clients. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-62175 4.3 medium 0.00% joinmastodon, mastodon Mastodon is a free, open-source social network server based on ActivityPub. In versions before 4.4.6, 4.3.14, and 4.2.27, disabling or suspending a user account does not disconnect the account from the streaming API. This allows disabled or suspended accounts to continue receiving real-time updates through existing streaming connections and to establish new streaming connections, even though they cannot interact with other API endpoints. This undermines moderation actions, as administrators expect disabled or suspended accounts to be fully disconnected from the service. This issue has been patched in versions 4.4.6, 4.3.14, and 4.2.27. No known workarounds exist. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-10966 4.3 medium 0.00% haxx, curl curl's code for managing SSH connections when SFTP was done using the wolfSSH powered backend was flawed and missed host verification mechanisms. This prevents curl from detecting MITM attackers and more. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-47122 4.2 medium 0.00% sparkle-project, sparkle Sparkle is a software update framework for macOS. In versions up to and including 2.9.1, `Autoupdate/AppInstaller.m`'s `shouldAcceptNewConnection:` only enforces `SUCodeSigningVerifier validateConnection:` before stage 1 completes. After `_performedStage1Installation = YES`, new connections to the registered Mach service `<bundleId>-spki` are accepted from any local process without team-ID or code-signing checks. As of time of publication, no known patched versions are available. 24 Oct
CVE-2026-107313 4.2 medium 0.00% no CPE yet pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.4 and 42.7.5 can send the previous contents of the GSS send buffer in place of the first part of a value on a connection with GSS encryption (gssEncMode=prefer or require), and the server stores the value without an error. The buffer is 16320 bytes with MIT Kerberos. The stored value then holds bytes of the messages the driver sent just before it on the same connection, such as the statement's SQL text, its other parameters, and earlier rows of the same batch, instead of the bytes the application supplied. Values at least as long as the buffer are affected when the driver writes them from a byte array: bind parameters set with setString, setBytes, or a ByteStreamWriter, CopyIn.writeToCopy, and LargeObject.write. Most such writes fail with an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException instead. The default, gssEncMode=allow, does not start GSS encryption, and connections without GSS encryption are not affected. Versions 42.7.3 and earlier are not affected, and 42.7.6 fixes the problem. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-10052 4.1 medium — red hat, red hat quay 3 A flaw was found in the Quay config-tool's LDAP and SMTP validation functions. An attacker with config editor access can exploit these functions, which make outbound connections to user-supplied endpoints without proper IP or host filtering. This allows the attacker to perform internal network reconnaissance from the Quay pod's network position, potentially mapping the internal network infrastructure. 13 h ago
CVE-2026-18348 4.1 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Missing authorization check in the upload_azure, upload_sftp, and upload_smb VQL plugins allows an authenticated analyst-role user can initiate attacker-controlled outbound network connections from the Velociraptor server, bypassing the NETWORK ACL permission boundary. This enables internal network reconnaissance via port oracle and potential data exfiltration to external endpoints. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-12730 3.8 low 0.00% ibm, business_automation_workflow IBM Business Automation Workflow containers and traditional 26.0.0, 25.0.0 through 25.0.0 Interim Fix 005, 24.0.1 through 24.0.1 Interim Fix 007, and 24.0.0 through 24.0.0 Interim Fix 009 IBM Business Automation Workflow fails to properly verify that the hostname matches the server certificate potentially allowing connections to an attacker-controlled server. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-114472 3.7 low 0.00% no CPE yet Insufficient resource pool in the ACME HTTP-01 challenge responder of Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.0.0 through 6.3.6 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a certificate issuance or renewal to fail. When the server obtains or renews a TLS certificate over ACME it runs an HTTP-01 challenge responder on port 80 for the certificate authority to read the challenge token; the responder served one connection at a time, accepting a socket, waiting up to five seconds to receive a request, answering it, and only then accepting the next. A client that connected and sent nothing held the single worker for the whole timeout, so enough idle connections during a validation keep the certificate authority's own request from being answered in time and the validation fails. Sustained across a certificate's renewals this leads to the certificate expiring, after which clients refuse the server's TLS; the mail service itself continues on its current certificate until then. No authentication is required to connect to the responder. Version 6.3.7 serves up to 64 connections at once and closes a connection past that, so that where a handful of idle connections, one after another, sufficed before, a client must keep 64 idle connections open at once throughout a validation to have the certificate authority's connection closed. CVE-2026-9825 3.7 low 0.00% no CPE yet IBM Cyber Fraud 1.0.0 through 1.0.2 has a missing secure attribute allowing sensitive cookies to be transmitted over unencrypted connections, potentially enabling an attacker to intercept session data through network-based attacks. 21 Oct
CVE-2025-62341 3.7 low 0.00% no CPE yet HCL Connections is vulnerable to server-side request forgery (SSRF) when an internal server is compromised possibly allowing an attacker to send unauthorized requests in certain scenarios leading to information disclosure or security bypass. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-56537 3.5 low 0.00% hcltech, connections HCL Connections is vulnerable to information disclosure which could allow a user to obtain sensitive information they are not entitled to, caused by improper handling of request data.they are not entitled to, caused by improper handling of request data. 24 Oct
CVE-2026-56538 3.5 low 0.00% hcltech, connections An endpoint in HCL Connections is vulnerable to information disclosure. In certain scenarios this might lead to disclosing sensitive information to unauthorized users. 24 Oct
CVE-2026-116251 2.3 low 0.00% pgadmin.org, pgadmin 4 pgAdmin 4 did not invalidate a user's existing sessions when their password changed, either through the user's own change password dialog or through an administrator resetting it in User Management. A session established before the change, for example on another device or by someone who had obtained the old password or a session cookie, therefore stayed logged in after the change, which is the step a user or administrator takes precisely to cut such access off. It remained usable until it expired. The fix rotates the user's session identifier (fs_uniquifier) whenever the password is changed, so every other session of that user is logged out. The session that made the change is logged in again and keeps its database connections. Saved server passwords, including those for shared servers, are re-encrypted under the new key; any that cannot be decrypted are cleared and the user is told. If re-encryption fails, the sessions are still revoked and the saved passwords are cleared rather than the change failing. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.19. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-40243 2.3 low 0.00% linuxcontainers, incus Incus is a system container and virtual machine manager. In versions before 7.0.0, broken TLS validation logic in the OVN database connection logic can allow connections to an attacker's OVN database. The OVN client implementations disable Go standard TLS server verification and replace it with custom peer-certificate verification logic. That replacement verifier does not anchor trust in the configured CA certificate. Instead, it constructs the verification root set from certificates supplied by the peer during the handshake, so the configured CA is parsed but not used as the trust anchor for the final verification decision. In OVN-enabled deployments that use these SSL database connection paths, an attacker able to impersonate or intercept the OVN endpoint on the management network can present a rogue self-signed certificate chain, and Incus will accept this certificate as valid. This issue defeats the intended CA-based trust model for OVN database connections and permits endpoint impersonation by an active attacker in a suitable network position. This issue is fixed in version 7.0.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2025-12889 2.3 low 0.00% wolfssl With TLS 1.2 connections a client can use any digest, specifically a weaker digest that is supported, rather than those in the CertificateRequest. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-12893 2.3 low 0.00% mongodb Clients may successfully perform a TLS handshake with a MongoDB server despite presenting a client certificate not aligning with the documented Extended Key Usage (EKU) requirements. A certificate that specifies extendedKeyUsage but is missing extendedKeyUsage = clientAuth may still be successfully authenticated via the TLS handshake as a client. This issue is specific to MongoDB servers running on Windows or Apple as the expected validation behavior functions correctly on Linux systems. Additionally, MongoDB servers may successfully establish egress TLS connections with servers that present server certificates not aligning with the documented Extended Key Usage (EKU) requirements. A certificate that specifies extendedKeyUsage but is missing extendedKeyUsage = serverAuth may still be successfully authenticated via the TLS handshake as a server. This issue is specific to MongoDB servers running on Apple as the expected validation behavior functions correctly on both Linux and Windows systems. This vulnerability affects MongoDB Server v7.0 versions prior to 7.0.26, MongoDB Server v8.0 versions prior to 8.0.16 and MongoDB Server v8.2 versions prior to 8.2.2 18 Oct
CVE-2026-108745 2.3 low 0.00% no CPE yet CloudBeaver through 25.3.5 contains a missing authorization vulnerability in WebSQLResultServlet that allows any web session holder to read other users' LOB export files from a shared folder. Attackers can guess table and column names and enumerate second-resolution timestamps to download victims' LOB values, including data from connections they cannot query. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-67420 2.3 low 0.00% broadcom, rabbitmq_server RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. From 3.13.0 until 3.13.19, 4.0.24, 4.1.15, 4.2.10, and 4.3.5, RabbitMQ OAuth credential refresh retains revoked runtime tags. when an existing AMQP connection refreshes from an OAuth token that grants the impersonator tag to a valid same-username token that no longer grants that tag, RabbitMQ updates the OAuth backend implementation (token/scopes/expiry) but leaves the connection's runtime #user.tags unchanged. rabbitaccesscontrol:checkuserid/2 then still honors the stale impersonator tag, so the connection (including newly opened channels) can continue publishing messages with a foreign AMQP userid after that privilege should have been revoked. A fresh connection using the downgraded token correctly refuses the same publish, proving the defect is stale session state rather than the token Limited to connections that once held impersonator and successfully refresh to a downgraded same-username rabbitauthbackendoauth2 (or an equivalent refresh-capable backend that returns tags) is enabled for This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.19, 4.0.24, 4.1.15, 4.2.10, and 4.3.5. 16 Oct
CVE-2025-11931 2.1 low 0.00% wolfssl Integer Underflow Leads to Out-of-Bounds Access in XChaCha20-Poly1305 Decrypt. This issue is hit specifically with a call to the function wc_XChaCha20Poly1305_Decrypt() which is not used with TLS connections, only from direct calls from an application. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-108523 2.1 low 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability was determined in Studio-Saelix Sencho up to 0.94.1. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the file outboundTarget.ts of the component git-sources Browse API Endpoint. Executing a manipulation of the argument repo_url can lead to server-side request forgery. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The presence of this vulnerability remains uncertain at this time. This patch is called 79b86ddcd4aefdd6941f098e35990ab397b13c72. It is advisable to implement a patch to correct this issue. The vendor explains: "Git repository access is an intentional, privileged administrative function. Sencho explicitly supports repositories hosted on private LAN, VPC, VPN, CGNAT, and IPv6 ULA networks. The report does not demonstrate a privilege-boundary bypass or access by an unprivileged user. We therefore dispute the CVE characterization of this behavior. As defense in depth, we have nevertheless hardened repository access. Git HTTPS and SSH connections now validate and pin DNS resolution, reject loopback, link-local, multicast, selected special-use and metadata targets, disable redirects and inherited proxy routing, and retain strict SSH host-key verification." 13 Oct
CVE-2026-99123 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: validate packet source for connected sockets virtio_transport_recv_pkt() looks up sockets first by the full source and destination tuple, then by destination only in the bound table. The fallback is needed for listening and connecting sockets, but sockets remain in the bound table after connect(), so it can also return a non-listening socket. The fallback does not validate the source address. In TCP_SYN_SENT, a RESPONSE from an unrelated source can transition the victim socket to TCP_ESTABLISHED while its stored remote address remains unchanged. Subsequent RW packets from that source are delivered through the same destination-only fallback. This was reproduced with capability-empty processes under different UIDs. The attacker discovered the target tuple through unprivileged AF_VSOCK sock_diag and caused the victim socket to read 16 attacker-chosen bytes; the intended peer-side socket read 0 of those 16 bytes. Add vsock_check_source() to validate the transport, source port and source CID against the peer stored in a non-listening socket. The local transport is the CID exception because its packets are generated internally with VMADDR_CID_LOCAL as their source, including connections using CID aliases. Use the helper after lock_sock() in the virtio receive path. Sat 31 Oct
CVE-2026-82942 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet A data race in the RDMA transport of Apache bRPC (versions < 1.18.0) allows a remote client to crash the server process (denial of service) when RDMA is enabled at build time and runtime. Root Cause: When a bRPC server negotiates RDMA with a client, the handshake completes on the TCP fd, but the server kept parsing that fd afterwards as if it were still an RPC channel. The TCP-fd input stream and the RDMA QP input stream (driven by CQ events) shared the same Socket::_read_buf, preferred_index and parsing_context without synchronization. In addition, CQ event processing could start while the handshake parsing was still in progress, and the handshake ACK phase could consume bytes belonging to the next protocol. A remote, unauthenticated client that has completed the RDMA handshake can send data on the TCP fd at the same time RDMA messages are being processed, corrupting the shared input buffer and parser state and crashing the server process (CWE-362, availability impact). Affected Scenarios: Use a bRPC server with RDMA support enabled (built with BRPC_WITH_RDMA and serving rdma:// / SOCKET_MODE_RDMA sockets) and accept connections from untrusted clients. Deployments without RDMA are not affected. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3505 Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-82425 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet A reachable assertion in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a malicious remote peer to crash the process, resulting in denial of service. Root Cause: When a Socket with health checking enabled fails, Socket::WaitAndReset closes its file descriptor while the event dispatcher may still be delivering an input event (EPOLLIN/EVFILT_READ) that was fetched for the just-closed fd. If the health check then succeeds and revives the Socket, Socket::Address succeeds again while the fd is still -1 (the next write reconnects on demand). In that window, Socket::OnInputEvent hits CHECK(!(events & EPOLLIN)) (or the kqueue equivalent) because the Socket is addressable but has no fd. CHECK failures terminate the process when bRPC is built with glog or when the gflag -crash_on_fatal_log is enabled (CHECK always terminates in OFFICIAL_BUILD/NDEBUG builds as well). Affected Scenarios: Applications using bRPC clients with health check enabled (-health_check_interval). A malicious remote peer that the client connects to can deliberately abort connections and immediately accept the health check probes, racing connection teardown against health check revival to trigger the assertion and abort the process. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3510 Note: After applying the fix, stale input events on a Socket revived without an fd are silently dropped instead of triggering the assertion. No user-visible interface or wire protocol is changed. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-98967 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxgb4/ch_ktls: disable softirqs around tid_list erases chcr_ktls_cpl_act_open_rpl() inserts into tid_list from the receive path using xa_insert_bh(). The array is shared by the adapter's connections and initialized with XA_FLAGS_LOCK_BH. However, chcr_ktls_dev_del() and the chcr_ktls_dev_add() error path use xa_erase(), which takes the XArray lock without disabling softirqs. When cleanup runs with softirqs enabled, a receive softirq for another connection on the same CPU can interrupt the erase and spin on the lock held by the interrupted task. Use xa_erase_bh() at both sites to match the insertion path. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-98794 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvs: filter some flags received in the backup server While the IPVS SYNC protocol is not secure by design we can still protect the backup server from messages that can wreak havoc. This commit addresses problems from received connection flags or their combinations. We now drop messages as follows: 1. the NO_CPORT+TEMPLATE combination allows lookups for normal connections to hit template which can break in many ways. While the master does not sync connections with NO_CPORT flag, i.e. before they are established, we still accept NO_CPORT without TEMPLATE. 2. ONE_PACKET: it is not sent by master, so we do not expect it in backup. Before now it was ignored by IP_VS_CONN_F_BACKUP_MASK for protocol v1 while protocol v0 created connections that are not hashed and dropped immediately. Better to apply the IP_VS_CONN_F_BACKUP_MASK also to the flags from v0 messages for consistency with v1. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-90138 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock: don't check the listener's sk_err in vsock_accept() Syzbot reported an issue which can be reproduced with these steps: r0 = socket(AF_VSOCK, SOCK_STREAM, 0) bind(r0, {VMADDR_CID_ANY, PORT}) connect(r0, {VMADDR_CID_LOCAL, PORT}) -> -1, EPROTO (self-connect) listen(r0, backlog) -> 0 r1 = socket(AF_VSOCK, SOCK_STREAM, 0) connect(r1, {VMADDR_CID_LOCAL, PORT}) -> 0 accept(r0) -> -1, EPROTO (stale sk_err) Basically, it creates a socket (r0) and triggers a self-connect after binding it. This self-connect fails with EPROTO because it loops back to r0 while the socket is still in the TCP_SYN_SENT state, causing it to be incorrectly dispatched to the connecting-client path. The unexpected packet type encountered there sets sk_err to EPROTO. After that, it invokes a listen() call on the same socket. This listen() call succeeds because the kernel's listening path never inspects or clears sk_err. Then, a new socket (r1) is created as a normal client and connects to r0. However, vsock_accept() rejects this incoming connection because the listener's sk_err still holds the EPROTO error from the earlier failed self-connect. This rejection causes the child socket created for r1's connection to never be freed on virtio or hyperv transports; only the VMCI transport implements pending_work to revisit and clean up a rejected socket. For a non-blocking connect(), vsock_connect() may return -EINPROGRESS immediately, and vsock_connect_timeout() can later set sk->sk_err asynchronously. Since no vsock transport ever sets sk_err on a socket while it is in TCP_LISTEN state, checking it in vsock_accept() serves no purpose and only carries forward errors left behind by earlier, unrelated connection attempts on the same socket. Remove the checks so accept() no longer rejects valid incoming connections because of a stale error, which also avoids the resource leak described above. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-90087 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: do not leak an hci_conn when a second LE connect is rejected create_le_conn_complete() decides whether the failed connection is still pending by comparing it against hci_lookup_le_connect(), which returns the first LE connection in BT_CONNECT. That is the same connection only while at most one is pending. Two can be pending. Connections created on the passive scan path sit in BT_CONNECT with HCI_CONN_SCANNING set and are invisible to hci_lookup_le_connect() until hci_le_create_conn_sync() clears the flag when their command is issued, so the -EBUSY guard in hci_connect_le() does not prevent a second connection from being queued while the first is still on the scan path. Whenever two connections are in BT_CONNECT at once, the lookup may return one connection while create_le_conn_complete() is reporting the failure of the other; the early exit then drops the error and hci_conn_failed() never runs on the connection that failed. The controller also rejects a second HCI_OP_LE_CREATE_CONN issued while another connection creation is still outstanding, per Core Spec Vol 4, Part E. The spec calls for Command Disallowed there; the bcm43438 observed here answers with an LMP/LL error code instead, which bt_to_errno() maps to the -EPROTO (-71) in the log below. The leaked connection stays in BT_CONNECT forever, and because hci_connect_le() refuses to dial while hci_lookup_le_connect() finds anything, every subsequent attempt to reach any peer fails with -EBUSY and no command reaches the controller at all. Seen on a bcm43438 with two BLE peers polled on the same interval (state 5 is BT_CONNECT; both handles are UNSET ones, allocated from the ida above HCI_CONN_HANDLE_MAX): Bluetooth: hci1: Opcode 0x2013 failed: -71 # hcitool con < LE 14:9C:EF:03:68:81 handle 3840 state 5 lm CENTRAL < LE C4:D3:6A:8C:B5:38 handle 3841 state 5 lm CENTRAL A btmon capture across the next ten minutes of connect attempts contains no HCI_OP_LE_CREATE_CONN at all; outgoing LE connections do not recover until the adapter is reset. With this change the same scenario fails the rejected connection cleanly and further connects to both peers go through. Ask about the connection itself instead of about the device. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-74386 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-tcp: fix page fragment cache leak in error path In nvmet_tcp_alloc_queue(), when a connection is closed during the allocation process (e.g., nvmet_tcp_set_queue_sock() returns -ENOTCONN), the error handling jumps to out_destroy_sq and then to out_ida_remove without draining the page fragment cache. Although nvmet_tcp_free_cmd() is called in some error paths to release individual page fragments, the underlying page cache reference held by queue->pf_cache is never released. The first allocation using pf_cache is the call to nvmet_tcp_alloc_cmd() for queue->connect, which happens after ida_alloc() returns successfully. This results in a page leak each time a connection fails during allocation, which could lead to memory exhaustion over time if connections are repeatedly opened and closed. Fix this by calling page_frag_cache_drain() before freeing the queue structure in the out_ida_remove label. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-111108 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet Apache Kafka's code-generated protocol readers pre-size an array's collection from the element count declared by the sender. That count is checked only against the bytes remaining in the request buffer, which assumes about one byte per element; because most elements need several bytes, a request can declare far more elements than the buffer holds and still pass. For a keyed array the reader then allocates an ImplicitLinkedHashCollection of capacity (2 * count +1), so a request of a few tens of megabytes can force a heap allocation several times larger before any element is read. The pattern is emitted into every generated reader, so it affects all Kafka API types with an array field. Impact: Request parsing happens before any authorization check. On a listener that does not require authentication (for example PLAINTEXT), an unauthenticated attacker can send a few concurrent requests that each declare a very large= array length and allocate many times their wire size in broker heap, crashing the broker with an OutOfMemoryError. The reporter demonstrated three concurrent ~90 MB ProduceRequest (v3) connections exhausting a 1 GB heap (~8x amplification). On listeners that require authentication, the attacker needs valid credentials but no specific ACL, since parsing precedes authorization.. Mitigation: Upgrade to Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, or 4.4.0. Until then, lowering socket.request.max.bytes and restricting network access to broker listeners reduces, but does not remove, exposure. Resolution: From Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, and 4.4.0: generated readers cap the initial array pre-allocation at MessageUtil.MAX_PREALLOCATED_ARRAY_CAPACITY (1000) and grow it on demand, and reject a declared array length above MessageUtil.MAX_ARRAY_LENGTH (1,000,000). CVE-2026-115817 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet Starman versions before 0.4019 for Perl allow a stalled request body to hold a worker indefinitely, as read_timeout covers only the headers. Content-Length and chunked request bodies are read with blocking reads and no deadline. A client that sends complete headers and then stalls or trickles the body keeps the worker waiting until it disconnects. A remote attacker can take every worker with a few such connections, five with the default worker count, so the server stops answering requests. Version 0.4019 applies read_timeout to each wait for body data and adds a body_timeout limit, 300 seconds by default, on the total time to read a body. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-115823 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet Starman versions before 0.4019 for Perl send response bodies for HEAD requests, desynchronizing responses on keep-alive connections. For a HEAD request Starman omits chunked framing but still writes the body returned by the application, on both the array and streaming response paths. Responses with a 1xx, 204 or 304 status also carry the body. On a keep-alive or pipelined connection the client reads those bytes as the start of the next response. A front-end proxy that reuses upstream connections may then pair responses with the wrong requests. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-90154 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: scope session state changes to bound connections ksmbd_all_conn_set_status() treats every connection whose transient binding flag is set as belonging to the target SessionId. A logoff or session replacement can consequently move an unrelated connection to NEED_RECONNECT or NEED_SETUP. Pass the target session itself and select connections using either the connection-local session xarray or the session's permanent channel list. Use the same association test while waiting for requests to drain. Serialize session-wide status changes under request_lock and do not overwrite EXITING or RELEASING. Protect the shutdown transition with the same lock so a concurrent session update cannot revive a closing connection. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-98420 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: follow SMB2 session expiration semantics ksmbd_session_register() destroys valid sessions after ten seconds of inactivity whenever a client starts another SessionSetup exchange. This confuses Session.IdleTime with Session.ExpirationTime. Windows can create additional authenticated sessions on an existing connection, so deleting the older session invalidates its tree connects and makes mapped drives fail with STATUS_NETWORK_NAME_DELETED. The session expiration rules require the server to change a valid session to expired only after its credential expiration time passes. A valid or expired session otherwise keeps its connection from being scavenged. Connections that have not negotiated a dialect, have no sessions, or have only InProgress sessions are disconnected after an implementation-specific timeout. Use the Windows-compatible 45 second value and run the expiration check periodically for both TCP and SMB Direct. Keep zero as an infinite credential expiration time, and count each Valid-to-Expired transition. Set expired sessions to InProgress when they reauthenticate. If authentication fails, remove the session from the global and per-connection tables immediately, including SMB3 multichannel connections. Retain protection against abandoned SessionId-zero exchanges by allowing only one InProgress authentication per connection. Additional exchanges fail with STATUS_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES, and stale InProgress sessions are reaped after the same 45 second setup timeout. This bounds the original unauthenticated memory-exhaustion path without evicting established sessions. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-90095 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: Fix the condition to enable over-io-uring The existing condition in fuse_uring_cmd() is there only to avoid disabling io-uring for connections that already run with it, missing was a condition to refuse any IORING_OP_URING_CMD if the connection/channel didn't get enabled because of missing FUSE_INIT reply flag FUSE_OVER_IO_URING. Without the reply flag the barrier in fuse_uring_ready() doesn't work and IO could already be going on and cause deadlock states (at a minimum one between fch->bg_lock and queue->lock). The change itself is trivial, but brings behavior change, FUSE_OVER_IO_URING has to be set in the FUSE_INIT_REPLY by fuse servers to accept any IORING_OP_URING_CMD. Libfuse does that and the only non-libfuse implementation I found (fractal-fuse) also does it. Qemu patches for fuse-io-uring are not merged yet, as far as I know. Moved up is the smp_load_acquire(&fch->initialized) check, as a fuse-server implementation might try to setup io-uring before FUSE_INIT is processed and might have gotten -EOPNOTSUPP instead of -EAGAIN. Also fixed is a stale comment that explains the handling of the FUSE_OVER_IO_URING flag in early RFC versions. If there should be a report from any library or application we probably need to revert this commit. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-89874 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: v4l2-async: avoid deleting unlinked ASC entry on link error v4l2_async_match_notify() creates ancillary media links before adding asc->asc_subdev_entry to sd->asc_list. If ancillary link creation fails, the function jumps to err_call_unbind while asc_subdev_entry has not been linked yet. Async connections are zero-allocated, so the list entry still has NULL next and prev pointers on this path. Calling list_del() on it can therefore dereference NULL instead of returning the original link creation error. Do not delete asc_subdev_entry from err_call_unbind. There is no list insertion to undo on this path; the bound callback and sub-device registration are the operations that need to be rolled back. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-80789 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-tcp: bound SGL data length before allocating command buffers nvmet_tcp_map_data() reads the host-controlled 32-bit sgl->length and, for the in-capsule offset descriptor (type 0x01), checks it against port->inline_data_size before use. Any other SGL descriptor type -- including the non-inline transport SGL data-block descriptor (type (NVME_TRANSPORT_SGL_DATA_DESC << 4) | NVME_SGL_FMT_TRANSPORT_A, the type a real host uses for out-of-capsule writes) skips that check entirely and falls straight through to: cmd->req.sg = sgl_alloc(len, GFP_KERNEL, &cmd->req.sg_cnt); with len taken directly from the wire, unbounded up to 4 GiB. nvmet_req_init() only parses the command and never inspects sgl->length, and nvmet_check_transfer_len() -- the only other place transfer_len is validated -- runs later, from req->execute(), after the allocation has already happened. For a write command the target responds with an R2T and parks the command waiting for the host to send the data; if the host (or an unauthenticated peer that simply never follows up) never does, the sgl_alloc() buffer stays resident for the life of the command. NVMe/TCP has no mandatory authentication in the default configuration, so any peer able to reach the target portal and complete a Fabrics connect can drive this with a single crafted command, repeatable across queues and connections for amplification. This is unbounded kernel memory allocation triggered by a remote, effectively unauthenticated peer. Validate len against the same NVMET_TCP_MAXH2CDATA ceiling this file already uses to bound per-PDU H2C data, for every SGL descriptor type, before doing any allocation. This closes the gap for the non-inline descriptor while leaving the existing, tighter inline_data_size check in place for the in-capsule case. Runtime-verified on a v6.19 KASAN stand: with this bound in place, a crafted write command carrying an oversized non-inline SGL length is rejected before sgl_alloc() runs, where the same request previously drove an unbounded ~256 MiB kernel allocation (up to 4 GiB) that stayed resident pending an R2T the host never satisfies. 19 Oct
