CVE-2025-6021 7.5 high 1.0% xmlsoft, redhat, libxml2, jboss_core_services, openshift_container_platform A flaw was found in libxml2's xmlBuildQName function, where integer overflows in buffer size calculations can lead to a stack-based buffer overflow. This issue can result in memory corruption or a denial of service when processing crafted input. 12 Oct
CVE-2025-7424 7.5 high 1.0% xmlsoft, redhat, libxslt, openshift_container_platform, enterprise_linux A flaw was found in the libxslt library. The same memory field, psvi, is used for both stylesheet and input data, which can lead to type confusion during XML transformations. This vulnerability allows an attacker to crash the application or corrupt memory. In some cases, it may lead to denial of service or unexpected behavior. 12 Oct
CVE-2026-3833 7.4 high 1.0% gnu, redhat, gnutls, hardened_images, openshift_container_platform A flaw was found in gnutls. This vulnerability occurs because gnutls performs case-sensitive comparisons of `nameConstraints` labels, specifically for `dNSName` (DNS) or `rfc822Name` (email) constraints within `excludedSubtrees` or `permittedSubtrees`. A remote attacker can exploit this by crafting a leaf certificate with casing differences in the Subject Alternative Name (SAN), leading to a policy bypass where a certificate that should be rejected is instead accepted. This could result in unauthorized access or information disclosure. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-39979 6.9 medium 1.0% jqlang, redhat, jq, ai_inference_server, ansible_automation_platform jq is a command-line JSON processor. In commits before 2f09060afab23fe9390cce7cb860b10416e1bf5f, the jv_parse_sized() API in libjq accepts a counted buffer with an explicit length parameter, but its error-handling path formats the input buffer using %s in jv_string_fmt(), which reads until a NUL terminator is found rather than respecting the caller-supplied length. This means that when malformed JSON is passed in a non-NUL-terminated buffer, the error construction logic performs an out-of-bounds read past the end of the buffer. The vulnerability is reachable by any libjq consumer calling jv_parse_sized() with untrusted input, and depending on memory layout, can result in memory disclosure or process termination. The issue has been patched in commit 2f09060afab23fe9390cce7cb860b10416e1bf5f. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-1933 6.5 medium 1.0% redhat, samba, openshift_container_platform, enterprise_linux A flaw was found in Samba’s handling of NTFS-style reparse points on shares configured with read only = yes. Due to missing SMB-layer access checks, authenticated users with underlying filesystem write permissions may create or delete reparse point metadata through SMB operations even on read-only exports. This could allow modification of SMB-visible file behavior, including converting files into symbolic links or other reparse point types. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-55653 6.5 medium 1.0% openbsd, redhat, openssh, hardened_images, openshift_container_platform A flaw was found in OpenSSH. A malicious SSH server can exploit a double free vulnerability in the Diffie-Hellman Group Exchange (DH-GEX) client path. This occurs during FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) mode known-group validation when the client processes attacker-controlled DH-GEX group parameters. Successful exploitation leads to client-side process termination, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-2340 6.5 medium 1.0% redhat, samba, openshift_container_platform, enterprise_linux A flaw was found in Samba’s vfs_worm module. The module is intended to provide write-once, read-many (WORM) protections by preventing modification of files after a configurable grace period. Due to insufficient validation during rename operations, an authenticated user with write access to a share could overwrite a protected file by renaming a newly created file over the existing WORM-protected file. 15 Oct
CVE-2025-14512 6.5 medium 1.0% gnome, redhat, glib, openshift, enterprise_linux A flaw was found in glib. This vulnerability allows a heap buffer overflow and denial-of-service (DoS) via an integer overflow in GLib's GIO (GLib Input/Output) escape_byte_string() function when processing malicious file or remote filesystem attribute values. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-18874 6.2 medium 1.0% no CPE yet A flaw was found in volsync-addon-controller. This vulnerability allows an attacker to inject malicious YAML (Yet Another Markup Language) code into the OpenShift Lifecycle Manager (OLM) Subscription resource. This is due to improper escaping of annotation values when they are rendered into YAML. Successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized modification or control over OLM Subscription configurations, potentially impacting software management within the cluster. This issue primarily affects systems where the 'volsync-addon-deploy-type: olm' annotation is explicitly enabled. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-3832 3.7 low 1.0% gnu, redhat, gnutls, hardened_images, openshift_container_platform A flaw was found in gnutls. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by presenting a specially crafted Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) response during a TLS handshake. Due to a logic error in how gnutls processes multi-record OCSP responses, a client with OCSP verification enabled may incorrectly accept a revoked server certificate, potentially leading to a compromise of trust. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-5483 9.9 critical 0.00% redhat, openshift_ai A flaw was found in odh-dashboard in Red Hat Openshift AI. This vulnerability in the `odh-dashboard` component of Red Hat OpenShift AI (RHOAI) allows for the disclosure of Kubernetes Service Account tokens through a NodeJS endpoint. This could enable an attacker to gain unauthorized access to Kubernetes resources. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-17618 9.8 critical 0.00% ibm, financial_transaction_manager IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) for RedHat OpenShift could allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to view and modify sensitive information and cause a denial of service due to improper authorization. 15 Oct

CVE-2026-10079 8.5 high 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes (RHACS). When processing Kubernetes Deployments, ACS replaces deployment identity metadata based on the openshift.io/encoded-deployment-config label. A user with permission to create Deployments can set this label to "null", causing ACS to treat the workload as having empty UID, name and labels and namespace "default". This bypasses deploy-time policy detection and enforcement visibility, prevents correct persistence in Central and breaks violation reporting and compliance correlation for the affected deployment. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-54100 8.3 high 0.00% redhat, openshift_container_platform, windows_machine_config_operator A flaw was found in the Windows Machine Config Operator (WMCO) for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. WMCO establishes SSH connections to Windows worker nodes without verifying the remote server host key. An adjacent-network attacker who can intercept or redirect WMCO's SSH session can capture WICD and kubelet bootstrap credentials transferred during node configuration, enabling compromise of Windows node identities in the cluster. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-104048 8.1 high 0.00% fedoraproject, redhat, sssd, openshift_container_platform, enterprise_linux A flaw was found in SSSD. In trust-enabled identity management environments, SSSD evaluates Host-Based Access Control (HBAC) rules by stripping domain qualifiers and comparing only short usernames. An authenticated user in a trusted domain who shares the same username as an authorized local account can bypass access policies and gain unauthorized access to protected services or hosts. 9 Oct
CVE-2026-6846 7.8 high 0.00% gnu, redhat, binutils, hardened_images, openshift_container_platform A flaw was found in binutils. A heap-buffer-overflow vulnerability exists when processing a specially crafted XCOFF (Extended Common Object File Format) object file during linking. A local attacker could trick a user into processing this malicious file, which could lead to arbitrary code execution, allowing the attacker to run unauthorized commands, or cause a denial of service, making the system unavailable. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2025-0678 7.8 high 0.00% gnu, redhat, grub2, openshift_container_platform, enterprise_linux A flaw was found in grub2. When reading data from a squash4 filesystem, grub's squash4 fs module uses user-controlled parameters from the filesystem geometry to determine the internal buffer size, however, it improperly checks for integer overflows. A maliciously crafted filesystem may lead some of those buffer size calculations to overflow, causing it to perform a grub_malloc() operation with a smaller size than expected. As a result, the direct_read() will perform a heap based out-of-bounds write during data reading. This flaw may be leveraged to corrupt grub's internal critical data and may result in arbitrary code execution, by-passing secure boot protections. 21 Oct
CVE-2024-45782 7.8 high 0.00% gnu, redhat, grub2, openshift_container_platform, enterprise_linux A flaw was found in the HFS filesystem. When reading an HFS volume's name at grub_fs_mount(), the HFS filesystem driver performs a strcpy() using the user-provided volume name as input without properly validating the volume name's length. This issue may read to a heap-based out-of-bounds writer, impacting grub's sensitive data integrity and eventually leading to a secure boot protection bypass. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-48864 7.8 high 0.00% opensuse, redhat, libsolv, hardened_images, openshift_container_platform A flaw was found in libsolv. This heap buffer overflow occurs during the decompression of attacker-controlled compressed data within `.solv` files due to insufficient input validation. An attacker can provide a specially crafted `.solv` file, which, when processed by a vulnerable application, can lead to out-of-bounds memory access. This could result in information disclosure, alteration of program execution, or a denial of service. 14 Oct
CVE-2025-5914 7.8 high 0.00% libarchive, redhat, openshift_container_platform, enterprise_linux A vulnerability has been identified in the libarchive library, specifically within the archive_read_format_rar_seek_data() function. This flaw involves an integer overflow that can ultimately lead to a double-free condition. Exploiting a double-free vulnerability can result in memory corruption, enabling an attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial-of-service condition. 12 Oct
CVE-2024-3056 7.7 high — red hat, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 7, red hat enterprise linux 8 A flaw was found in Podman. This issue may allow an attacker to create a specially crafted container that, when configured to share the same IPC with at least one other container, can create a large number of IPC resources in /dev/shm. The malicious container will continue to exhaust resources until it is out-of-memory (OOM) killed. While the malicious container's cgroup will be removed, the IPC resources it created are not. Those resources are tied to the IPC namespace that will not be removed until all containers using it are stopped, and one non-malicious container is holding the namespace open. The malicious container is restarted, either automatically or by attacker control, repeating the process and increasing the amount of memory consumed. With a container configured to restart always, such as `podman run --restart=always`, this can result in a memory-based denial of service of the system. 16 h ago
CVE-2026-14251 7.7 high 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in the OpenShift GitOps operator. The ClusterRole reconciler does not validate resource ownership when reconciling ClusterRole objects. A namespace-scoped Argo CD instance can trigger deletion of a ClusterRole owned by a cluster-scoped Argo CD instance by crafting a name collision, resulting in a denial of service. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-93017 7.7 high 0.00% no CPE yet The `insights-operator-gather` ClusterRole grants the operator's service account read access to secrets in the core API group with no namespace or resourceNames restriction — therefore, access to every secret in every namespace in the cluster. Ref: https://github.com/openshift/insights-operator/blob/8f15e3157ff09f54ab22801f5b21da35a195cc6d/manifests/03-clusterrole.yaml#L368-L373 ``` - apiGroups: - "" resources: - secrets verbs: - get - list ``` By spawning a pod with the gather service account mounted, an attacker will be able to access any secret in any namespace. ``` spec: serviceAccountName:"gather" ``` Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-75888 7.7 high 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in the OpenShift console. An authenticated console user can exploit a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability by providing a specially crafted Helm chart URL without proper validation. This allows the user to make the console pod fetch arbitrary URLs, potentially leading to the disclosure of sensitive information through error messages or enabling blind port scanning within the cluster. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2025-13601 7.7 high 0.00% redhat, gnome, codeready_linux_builder, codeready_linux_builder_for_ibm_z_systems, codeready_linux_builder_for_power_little_endian A heap-based buffer overflow problem was found in glib through an incorrect calculation of buffer size in the g_escape_uri_string() function. If the string to escape contains a very large number of unacceptable characters (which would need escaping), the calculation of the length of the escaped string could overflow, leading to a potential write off the end of the newly allocated string. 18 Oct
CVE-2026-18381 7.6 high 0.00% redhat, cost_management_metrics_operator A flaw was found in the koku-metrics-operator for Red Hat OpenShift. The operator's CostManagementMetricsConfig custom resource allows a user able to edit the CR to specify an arbitrary upload URL. The operator attaches its own Kubernetes service-account bearer token to queries sent to this user-controlled URL, allowing the attacker to obtain the token. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-15584 7.5 high 0.00% no CPE yet A privilege escalation vulnerability was found in the incluster-checks tool for OpenShift. The tool creates privileged debug pods with host filesystem access in the shared default namespace, where any user with the standard edit role can exec into them and obtain root access on cluster nodes. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-17620 7.5 high 0.00% ibm, financial_transaction_manager IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) for RedHat OpenShift 4.0.6.0 through 4.0.6.0.0.6.0 Refresh (Operator 4.4.6+20260807.081800)4.0.7.04.0.8.04.0.9.04.0.10.0 Interim Fix 064 IBM Financial Transaction Manager transmits sensitive or security-critical data in cleartext in a communication channel that can be sniffed by unauthorized actors. 15 Oct

CVE-2026-92092 7.4 high — red hat, red hat openshift container platform 4 A flaw was found in openshift-ansible. The installer container's `run` script downloads and executes remote inventory and dynamic scripts without integrity verification. A remote attacker, by performing a Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attack or compromising the HTTP server providing these scripts, could substitute an arbitrary executable. This malicious executable would then run with the installer's user ID (UID) and full cluster-provisioning privileges, leading to arbitrary code execution. 2 h ago
CVE-2026-50236 7.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet An authenticated SSRF flaw was found in the OpenShift Console Dev Console webhook helpers. User-supplied target URLs are fetched server-side without validation, with path neutralization enabling arbitrary endpoint targeting and full response reflection from the console pod's privileged network position. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-50237 7.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet A Server-Side Request Forgery and supply chain flaw was found in the OpenShift Console Helm catalog proxy. A namespace tenant can plant a ProjectHelmChartRepository with an arbitrary URL that the console pod fetches server-side, bypassing tenant egress restrictions. Combined with catalog metadata poisoning and admin-mediated chart installation, this enables privilege escalation. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-75939 7.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in openshift/oc-mirror. The tool incorrectly verifies PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) release image signatures by checking for signature errors before the entire signed body is processed, leading to a bypass of the signature verification. A remote attacker, by intercepting or manipulating network traffic to the signature endpoint, could exploit this to craft a PGP message with a valid Red Hat release key ID but a forged signature. This enables the `oc-mirror` tool to accept and mirror a malicious release payload into a disconnected registry, potentially compromising the integrity of software deployments. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-13201 7.3 high 0.00% kubevirt, redhat, openshift_virtualization A flaw was found in KubeVirt's safepath package used by virt-handler. The OpenAtNoFollow function uses O_PATH|O_NOFOLLOW to obtain a file descriptor to a path leaf, but downstream operations resolve the path via /proc/self/fd/N using link-following syscalls. When the leaf is a symlink, the kernel dereferences it, defeating the intended no-follow protection. An attacker with access to a virt-launcher pod can exploit this to redirect virt-handler's IPC socket connections, including the notify socket used for VM domain lifecycle events. By hijacking this socket, the attacker can inject arbitrary domain events into virt-handler, causing it to take incorrect lifecycle actions, corrupt VM state in the Kubernetes API, or crash — resulting in sustained denial of VM management services for all virtual machines on the affected node. Additionally, the same symlink following flaw allows virt-handler to apply file ownership or permission changes to unintended host paths. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-71226 7.3 high 0.00% redhat, smuellerdd, hardened_images, openshift_container_platform, libkcapi Memory Corruption via Uncanceled AIO Requests on Error: libkcapi's one-shot AIO path can return an error before all submitted IOCBs are drained, allowing later kernel writes into caller-owned output buffers. 22 Oct
CVE-2026-71474 7.1 high 0.00% redhat, advanced_cluster_management_for_kubernetes, insights-client A flaw was found in insights-client. When the application receives a non-200 response, it logs the request headers, which can include the cloud.openshift.com pull-secret token. A local user with access to pod logs on the hub could read this long-lived credential. This information disclosure could grant unauthorized access to Red Hat cloud services. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-18153 7.1 high 0.00% ibm, financial_transaction_manager IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) for RedHat OpenShift could allow a remote authenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information and forge authentication tags due to the use of hard-coded cryptographic keys and initialization vectors. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-17643 7.1 high 0.00% ibm, financial_transaction_manager IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) for RedHat OpenShift could allow a local attacker to obtain sensitive information and perform unauthorized actions due to insufficiently protected credentials. 8 Oct

CVE-2026-4878 7.0 high 0.00% libcap_project, redhat, libcap, openshift_container_platform, enterprise_linux A flaw was found in libcap. A local unprivileged user can exploit a Time-of-check-to-time-of-use (TOCTOU) race condition in the `cap_set_file()` function. This allows an attacker with write access to a parent directory to redirect file capability updates to an attacker-controlled file. By doing so, capabilities can be injected into or stripped from unintended executables, leading to privilege escalation. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-93006 6.8 medium — red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. The TFTP server can serve the wrong file contents because a recently used transfer cache is not invalidated when a transfer finishes. An attacker on the local network who can request a TFTP file may cause a later client to receive previously cached data instead of the requested file. In PXE network-boot environments this can substitute attacker-chosen boot content for a victim machine. 9 h ago
CVE-2026-93008 6.8 medium — red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. When following a CNAME in a DNS response, the resolver can cache records for the CNAME target without checking that those records belong to the responding server's authorized zone. In split-DNS deployments that send some domains to a specific upstream, an attacker who controls that upstream can inject cache entries for unrelated names. Later clients may then receive attacker-chosen addresses for those names. 9 h ago
CVE-2026-3012 6.8 medium 0.00% redhat, samba, openshift_container_platform, enterprise_linux A flaw was found in Samba’s certificate auto-enrollment Group Policy handling. When certificate auto-enrollment is enabled, Samba may retrieve a CA certificate over an unencrypted HTTP connection and install it into the local trust store without proper verification. An attacker with the ability to intercept or redirect network traffic could exploit this behavior to supply a malicious certificate authority certificate, potentially allowing interception or spoofing of trusted communications.
