CVE-2026-98703 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: minstrel_ht: validate fixed rate index The fixed_rate_idx debugfs file is a plain u32 attribute, so any value can be written to it. minstrel_ht_update_stats() then copies the value into mi->max_tp_rate[] and mi->max_prob_rate, and minstrel_ht_set_rate() uses MI_RATE_GROUP()/MI_RATE_IDX() to index minstrel_mcs_groups[] (42 entries) and mi->groups[].rates[] (10 entries) with it. Writing e.g. 65535 selects group 4095 and rate index 15, far outside both arrays. The out-of-bounds entries are dereferenced and updated as struct minstrel_rate_stats (retry counts, etc.), so the invalid index corrupts adjacent kernel memory. With CONFIG_UBSAN_BOUNDS the access is reported as an array-index-out-of-bounds in minstrel_ht_set_rate(). Only a valid group/rate pair, or U32_MAX to disable fixed rate processing, can be used safely, so reject any other value when the debugfs file is written. The file is only reachable through a root-only debugfs mount, so this is not a privilege boundary. The out-of-bounds access is still a bug that must not be reachable through a writable debugfs attribute. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-98686 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: discard post-EOF pagecache when extending a file via zero range smb3_zero_range() removed the pagecache only for the range being zeroed, so when it extends the file the folio straddling the old EOF - which may hold data dirtied past EOF through an mmap - was never dropped and became visible as file content once the file was extended. Lower the discard boundary to the smaller of the zero-range offset and the old EOF. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-97535 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Bound VP index against VP_CTRL IOCB bitmap size The VP control IOCB selects its target virtual port by setting one bit in vp_idx_map, a fixed 16-byte (128-bit) array in both vp_ctrl_entry_24xx and vp_ctrl_entry_24xx_ext. qla25xx_ctrlvp_iocb() computes map = (vp_index - 1) / 8 and writes vce->vp_idx_map[map] without checking that map stays within the array. max_npiv_vports is taken from firmware and only sanitized to a MIN_MULTI_ID_FABRIC-aligned boundary, so it can legitimately be 191 or 255, and qla24xx_control_vp() only rejects vp_index >= max_npiv_vports. A vp_index above 128 therefore yields map >= 16 and an out-of-bounds write of up to 16 bytes past vp_idx_map, corrupting the trailing IOCB fields (or the adjacent request-ring slot on the 64-byte layout). Reject a vp_index that cannot be represented in the IOCB bitmap in qla24xx_control_vp(), and add a defensive ARRAY_SIZE() guard in qla25xx_ctrlvp_iocb() before the write. Adapters that report the usual 63 or 127 NPIV vports are unaffected. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-89962 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/kexec_file: Prevent kexec range truncation Sashiko AI review pointed out the following issue. The __merge_memory_ranges() function incorrectly handles overlapping memory ranges when merging them. Although sort_memory_ranges() sorts all ranges by their start address in ascending order beforehand, the merge logic remains defective in two ways: 1. It compares the current range's start against the previous element (i-1) instead of the running target index (idx) 2. It unconditionally overwrites 'ranges[idx].end' with 'ranges[i].end'. This logic flaw leads to critical memory truncation when a larger memory range completely subsumes subsequent smaller ranges. For example, consider a sorted input array with three ranges: Range A (idx=0): [0x1000 - 0x9000] Range B (i=1): [0x2000 - 0x5000] (completely inside Range A) Range C (i=2): [0x6000 - 0x8000] (completely inside Range A) 1. When i=1 (Range B): ranges[1].start (0x2000) <= ranges[0].end + 1 (0x9001) is TRUE. The code executes: ranges[0].end = ranges[1].end, which erroneously shrinks Range A's end from 0x9000 down to 0x5000. 2. When i=2 (Range C): ranges[2].start (0x6000) <= ranges[1].end + 1 (0x5001) is FALSE. The code falls into the else block, creating a broken new range. As a result, valid memory fragments [0x5001 - 0x5fff] and [0x8001 - 0x9000] are completely lost from the kexec exclude lists, potentially allowing the crash kernel to overwrite active memory, causing data corruption or crashes. Fix this by ensuring the start of the current range is compared against the end of the active merged range (idx), and use max() to safely prevent the outer boundary from being truncated. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-89794 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: zero pipe read compound padding Compound response handling extends the last response iov to an eight-byte boundary. smb2_read_pipe() allocates only the payload size, so the alignment padding can expose up to seven bytes of uninitialized kernel heap memory. Allocate the aligned size and clear the unused tail before pinning the response buffer. Fri 30 Oct

CVE-2026-51863 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet DB-GPT v0.7.5 and 0.8.0 contains directory traversal in use_example_file (packages/dbgpt-app/src/dbgpt_app/openapi/api_v1/examples_api.py:129). A remote attacker can use the validated exploitation path to write files outside the intended workspace or storage boundary. Thu 29 Oct

CVE-2026-105258 unscored 0.00% unknown, appointment booking plugin The Appointment Booking Plugin WordPress plugin before 5.7.6 does not escape several booking-form step content settings before rendering them on the public booking form, allowing high-privilege users such as administrators to inject JavaScript that executes in the browser of any visitor who loads the form; on multisite, where administrators do not hold the unfiltered_html capability, this crosses a privilege boundary to unauthenticated visitors. Thu 29 Oct
CVE-2026-116272 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet MIME::Field::ParamVal versions before 5.521 for Perl do not flag a duplicate boundary parameter whose name contains a nested comment. A parameter written boundary((c))="A" or boundary(\))="A" is stored under that literal name rather than as boundary. A second boundary parameter is then not reported as a duplicate, and MIME::Parser splits the message on it. Readers that skip comments as RFC 5322 allows take the first boundary instead. A remote sender can hide an attachment from a filter that relies on ambiguous_content() while the recipient's mail client shows it. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-116270 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet MIME::Words versions before 5.521 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via repeated "=?" sequences in decode_mimewords. For each "=?" that does not start a complete encoded word, decode_mimewords appends an error message containing the whole input string to $@. A boundary of 8,000 "=?" pairs (16,000 bytes) adds 8,000 copies of itself to $@, about 128 MB. From version 5.518, MIME::Parser decodes every multipart boundary this way, so a remote sender can exhaust the memory of the parsing process with one Content-Type header. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-116266 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet MIME::Head versions from 5.518 before 5.521 for Perl decode a partly encoded multipart boundary without flagging the parse as ambiguous. The multipart_boundary() method decodes RFC 2047 encoded words anywhere in the boundary, but the ambiguity check only fires when the whole value is one encoded word. A boundary such as abc=?us-ascii?Q?def?= is used as abcdef, and ambiguous_content() returns false. Encoded words are not allowed in parameters, so other mail readers split the message on the literal value. A remote sender can hide an attachment from a filter that relies on ambiguous_content() while the recipient's mail client shows it. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-116265 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet MIME::Field::ParamVal versions before 5.521 for Perl do not flag an ambiguous multipart boundary written as RFC 2231 continuations. The boundary ambiguity checks look only at a plain boundary= parameter, and a boundary split into RFC 2231 sections (boundary*0=, boundary*1= and so on) is joined after they have run. A repeated section number is concatenated rather than reported as a duplicate. From version 5.518, an encoded word or trailing whitespace in such a boundary also goes unflagged, although multipart_boundary() decodes or strips it. A remote sender can make MIME::Parser split a message on a different boundary than other mail readers, hiding an attachment from a filter that relies on ambiguous_content() while the recipient's mail client shows it. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-116264 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet MIME::Field::ParamVal versions before 5.521 for Perl allow one invalid Content-Type parameter to hide the parameters after it, including the multipart boundary. Parameter parsing stops at the first parameter whose name it cannot read, such as x:y=1 or a name containing an 8-bit byte, and drops every parameter after it. When the boundary is among them, MIME::Parser keeps the multipart body as a single undecoded part without marking the parse as ambiguous. Mail readers that skip the invalid parameter still find the boundary. A remote sender can hide an attachment from a filter that relies on ambiguous_content() while the recipient's mail client shows it. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-116134 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet HTTP::Body versions before 1.23_01 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via an unbounded multipart part header block. The multipart parser takes everything up to the first blank line after a boundary as the part's header block, with no limit on its size or number of lines. Every line is stored in the part's header hash, so a block of short lines costs about 60 bytes of memory per input byte. A remote attacker can exhaust worker memory with a single request. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-116133 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet HTTP::Body versions before 1.23_01 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via quadratic rescanning of a multipart body with a missing or malformed boundary. Before the first part, and between parts, the multipart parser searches the whole buffered body for the next boundary. On a miss it keeps everything and searches again from the start when the next chunk arrives. A body with no boundary, or with a delimiter followed by neither CRLF nor "--", is therefore rescanned on every chunk, taking time quadratic in its size. A remote attacker can exhaust worker CPU with a few such requests. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-118172 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet The strapi/strapi (Core Admin / Webhook Runner) package is vulnerable to a semi-blind SSRF via a webhook follow-redirect. The webhook dispatcher automatically follows HTTP redirects without performing post-redirect IP resolution or RFC1918/link-local boundary checks. Non-2xx responses from target endpoints are captured and reflected directly back to the caller. Wed 28 Oct

CVE-2026-99004 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/imagination: Size page table preallocation by device address Commit 0a8224058a58 ("drm/imagination: Fix page count for page table for map() interface") passed the device address to pvr_mmu_op_context_create(), but the preallocation is still sized from device_addr + sgt_offset with an exclusive end. The offset into the object's pages has no place in a device-virtual range, and the exclusive end allocates one table too many when the range ends on a table boundary. Count the tables from device_addr and the inclusive end of the range. The new calculation does not take page table indices into account. This fixes another issue with the previous implementation, where the difference between start and end indices could underflow when a mapping crossed a page table boundary. This would lead to the driver preallocating a huge number of MMU pages, exhausting system memory and triggering an out of memory panic. [Alessio: add paragraph to point out OOM bug being fixed, cc stable] 23 Oct
CVE-2026-98918 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/ops-common: use a page-aligned address in damon_ptep_mkold() __damon_va_prepare_access_check() picks a random byte address within the region and stores it in r->sampling_addr. damon_va_mkold() passes it into a page table walk, which hands it to damon_ptep_mkold() as the address of the page to sample: damon_va_mkold(mm, r->sampling_addr) damon_va_walk_page_range(mm, addr, addr + 1) damon_mkold_pmd_entry() damon_ptep_mkold(pte, vma, addr) ptep_test_and_clear_young(vma, addr, pte) mmu_notifier_clear_young(mm, addr, addr + PAGE_SIZE) For arm64, before commit 6f0e1142173a ("arm64: mm: support batch clearing of the young flag for large folios"), the contpte helper walked exactly CONT_PTES entries from the aligned-down page table pointer and used @addr only to pass down to each entry, so an unaligned value was harmless: ptep = contpte_align_down(ptep); addr = ALIGN_DOWN(addr, CONT_PTE_SIZE); for (i = 0; i < CONT_PTES; i++, ptep++, addr += PAGE_SIZE) Now the range to walk is derived from @addr instead: end = addr + nr * PAGE_SIZE, rounded up to CONT_PTE_SIZE. For a sample in the last page of a contpte block, the sub-page offset puts end just past the block boundary, so the round-up lands a whole block further and the walk clears PTE_AF in CONT_PTES entries beyond the sampled block. For the last block in a page table page, those entries are past the end of that page, so the walk writes into the page that follows. Triggered by the full 7.1/7.2 kernel selftest suite on arm64 (EC2 c/m6g.4xlarge). The kernel sometimes crashes at or shortly after the DAMON test. What the overrun does depends on the page that happens to follow the page table, so there is no single signature. If that page is read-only, the write faults in the sampling path itself: Unable to handle kernel write to read-only memory at virtual address ffff0003c5d2d000 FSC = 0x0f: level 3 permission fault CM = 0, WnR = 1, TnD = 0, TagAccess = 0 CPU: 10 UID: 0 PID: 3487 Comm: kdamond.2 pc : contpte_test_and_clear_young_ptes+0x70/0xc0 lr : damon_ptep_mkold+0x1e8/0x1f8 Call trace: contpte_test_and_clear_young_ptes+0x70/0xc0 (P) damon_mkold_pmd_entry+0x150/0x170 walk_pmd_range+0x110/0x2b0 walk_pud_range+0x10c/0x208 walk_pgd_range+0x134/0x258 __walk_page_range+0x98/0x1b0 walk_page_range_vma_unsafe+0x90/0x148 walk_page_range_vma+0x28/0x40 damon_va_walk_page_range+0x114/0x2b8 damon_va_prepare_access_checks+0xec/0x1a8 kdamond_fn+0x534/0x770 kthread+0x128/0x138 ret_from_fork+0x10/0x20 Otherwise the page is writable, the PTE_AF clearing succeeds silently and the damage only surfaces later, in whatever happened to own the page, so the backtrace is unrelated to DAMON and differs between runs. Pass a page-aligned address to the ptep_test_and_clear_young() call in damon_ptep_mkold(), which is the only place DAMON can reach contpte_test_and_clear_young_ptes() from. Nothing else sees the aligned address, and r->sampling_addr itself is left as is, so the sampling and region bookkeeping semantics are unchanged. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-98835 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: accel: kionix-kx022a: Fix array boundary check The driver performs a sanity check for an array size, when converting a register value to an array index. CVE-2026-98803 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: fix rx Scatter-Gather support When a received frame is larger than dma_buf_sz, the DMA scatters it across multiple RX descriptors (rx Scatter-Gather). The secondary RX buffer (sec_page) was only allocated and programmed when split-header (SPH) was active, so for regular frames buffer2 was neither allocated nor backed by a valid mapping. As soon as an incoming frame overflowed buffer1, the DMA wrote the overflow into the unmapped secondary-buffer address, triggering an SMMU translation fault on IOMMU-based platforms: arm-smmu 15000000.iommu: Unhandled context fault: fsr=0x402, iova=0x00000000, fsynr=0x7f0011, cbfrsynra=0x1c90, cb=11 arm-smmu 15000000.iommu: FSR = 00000402 [Format=2 TF], SID=0x1c90 arm-smmu 15000000.iommu: FSYNR0 = 007f0011 [S1CBNDX=127 WNR PLVL=1] Enable scatter-gather for non-SPH frames on cores that can program an independent secondary RX buffer (GMAC4/XGMAC): allocate and mark buffer2 as valid in stmmac_init_rx_buffers() and stmmac_rx_refill(), and account for it in the buffer length computation. Legacy cores have no set_sec_addr op, so they keep buffer2 disabled. Since buffer2 is handed to the DMA at page offset 0, the page pool sync window is widened to cover both buffers in every mode: offset is set to 0 and max_len to dma_buf_sz + stmmac_rx_offset(). The FCS can straddle the buffer1/buffer2 boundary and a descriptor boundary, so it is now stripped from the tail of the assembled frame with pskb_trim() instead of from a single buffer, avoiding an unsigned underflow for frames that overflow a buffer by 1..3 bytes. For single-buffer frames the XDP program must not see the FCS, so it is removed from the XDP buffer before the program runs. Native XDP currently only supports single-buffer (linear) frames. An oversized frame accepted by the MAC (jumbo enabled) is received via buffer2; the XDP program only sees buffer1, so on a TX/REDIRECT verdict the frame is forwarded truncated. XDP multi-buffer support to handle this case is planned as a follow-up. AF_XDP zero-copy RX is not covered by this change: a ZC queue still programs buffer2 at DMA address 0 (and XGMAC has no buffer2-valid bit), so an oversized frame overflowing buffer1 can still trigger the same SMMU translation fault. Handling is planned as a follow-up. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-98729 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/mm: Don't apply va_align to hugetlb mappings on AMD F15h get_align_mask() returns huge_page_mask_align() for hugetlbfs, but get_align_bits() adds va_align.bits regardless, so vm_unmapped_area() returns an address off the huge page boundary and __unmap_hugepage_range() hits BUG_ON(start & ~huge_page_mask(h)) at teardown. This can be triggered on Carrizo and FX-8370E, both hstates. Pass the file to get_align_bits() and skip the randomisation for hugetlbfs. [ bp: Massage commit message. ] 19 Oct
CVE-2026-98641 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, arm64: set up the frame pointer for the exception callback A program acting as exception boundary saves all callee-saved registers, so build_prologue() takes the exception_cb path and never calls push_callee_regs(). That is the only place find_used_callee_regs() runs, and with it the only place ctx->fp_used is set, so the callback prologue does not emit the mov x25, sp that points BPF_REG_FP at the frame the callback runs on. x25 keeps whatever it held when bpf_throw() was called. If the throw came from a subprogram that uses its own BPF stack, that is the subprogram's frame pointer, and since the subprogram never returns it never restores x25 either. Stack accesses through BPF_REG_FP are rewritten to be stack pointer relative, so those still land in the callback's own frame. Materializing the register does not: a callback that passes the address of a local variable to a helper hands over an address in the dead subprogram's frame. That address is below the callback's stack pointer by then, and the helper's own call chain covers it, so the helper can write over its own return address. 0x1234 below is the value the helper was asked to store: pc : 0x1234 lr : 0x1234 Call trace: 0x1234 (P) bpf_test_run+0x188/0x3e0 bpf_prog_test_run_skb+0x47c/0x998 __sys_bpf+0xbdc/0xdd8 Kernel panic - not syncing: Oops: Fatal exception in interrupt Set ctx->fp_used on the exception callback path so that the existing code further down sets x25 from the stack pointer. The epilogue restores it from the main program's save area along with the other callee-saved registers, as it already does. x86 sets the frame pointer for the callback from the argument it is passed, and powerpc computes it from the stack pointer. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-98582 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: st21nfca: validate received frame size st21nfca_hci_i2c_repack() trims a received frame at its EOF marker before removing byte stuffing. It then assumes the truncated frame contains the LLC header and two CRC bytes, and it unconditionally reads the byte after an escape marker. A malformed frame can place EOF immediately after the start marker or can end its data portion with an escape marker. The former leaves too few bytes for check_crc(), while the latter makes the unstuffing loop read past the current skb length. Require the minimum framing bytes both before and after unstuffing. Use separate input and output cursors while removing byte stuffing, and reject an escape marker without its encoded byte. This keeps malformed frames within the received frame boundary before CRC processing. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-98492 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: macb: fix dma_alloc_coherent() leak on macb_alloc() error paths Fix 3 leaks in macb_alloc() error paths: - Tx buffer allocated but crossing a 4G boundary: Tx leaked. - Rx buffer allocation fails: Tx leaked. - Rx buffer allocated but crossing a 4G boundary: Tx & Rx leaked. This is because our error handling calls macb_free(bp) which in turn frees the buffers stored in bp->queues[0], but nothing has been stored in there. Fix by storing allocated buffers into bp->queues[0] ASAP. 19 Oct
