| CVE-2026-99213 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock: treat TCP_CLOSING as once-established Handle the TCP_ESTABLISHED -> TCP_CLOSING transition on OP_RST, which can race with the connect loop. Immediately break and return 0 on ESTABLISHED/CLOSING. The return value of connect() should reflect what happened up to the point the connection was established or failed. Events that occur afterwards must not affect it. E.g. even if OP_RW has already set sk_err, connect() should still return 0, not ENOBUFS because of it. Adapt the inaccurate comment above signal_pending(). Resetting a socket that is still present in connected_table can lead to memory corruption. The reporter noted lost transports for in-flight skbs, and I have reproduced crashes caused by re-insertion into connected_table. list_add double add: new=, prev=, next=. kernel BUG at lib/list_debug.c:35! | CVE-2026-99212 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rds: don't let the rdma_cm destroy an id RDS still owns on route failure rds_rdma_cm_event_handler_cmn() hands the return value of rdma_resolve_route() straight back to the rdma_cm on RDMA_CM_EVENT_ADDR_RESOLVED. A synchronous failure there - -ENOMEM from the route work allocation, an SA query that cannot be set up, a RoCE route with no usable device - makes addr_handler() destroy the id the event was delivered on. That id is ic->i_cm_id, and nothing clears the pointer: the connection sits in RDS_CONN_CONNECTING with a freed id until its shutdown calls rdma_disconnect() and rdma_destroy_id() on it. The ROUTE_RESOLVED case already avoids this: rds_ib_cm_initiate_connect() forces a zero return while ic->i_cm_id == cm_id, as the comment there explains. Do the same here - drop the connection and return 0 - so the id stays RDS's to destroy from the shutdown, and the reconnect gets a fresh one. | Sat 31 Oct |
| CVE-2026-99123 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: validate packet source for connected sockets virtio_transport_recv_pkt() looks up sockets first by the full source and destination tuple, then by destination only in the bound table. The fallback is needed for listening and connecting sockets, but sockets remain in the bound table after connect(), so it can also return a non-listening socket. The fallback does not validate the source address. In TCP_SYN_SENT, a RESPONSE from an unrelated source can transition the victim socket to TCP_ESTABLISHED while its stored remote address remains unchanged. Subsequent RW packets from that source are delivered through the same destination-only fallback. This was reproduced with capability-empty processes under different UIDs. The attacker discovered the target tuple through unprivileged AF_VSOCK sock_diag and caused the victim socket to read 16 attacker-chosen bytes; the intended peer-side socket read 0 of those 16 bytes. Add vsock_check_source() to validate the transport, source port and source CID against the peer stored in a non-listening socket. The local transport is the CID exception because its packets are generated internally with VMADDR_CID_LOCAL as their source, including connections using CID aliases. Use the helper after lock_sock() in the virtio receive path. | Sat 31 Oct |
| CVE-2026-66392 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | Apache bRPC versions before 1.18.0 validate the server certificate chain when client TLS peer verification is enabled, but do not bind the certificate to an expected DNS name or IP address. A network attacker who can redirect or intercept a connection and who possesses a certificate issued by a CA trusted by the client for another name may impersonate the requested TLS endpoint. Affected Scenarios: Applications use a bRPC client Channel to connect to an untrusted network with certificate verification enabled and trust a CA that can issue certificates for identities other than the intended endpoint. How to Fix: Upgrade to Apache bRPC 1.18.0 and enable VERIFY_PEER with a positive verify_depth. HTTPS Channels automatically verify the certificate against the host in the Channel URL. Callers may set VerifyOptions::expected_peer_name explicitly when the certificate identity differs from the URL host. Alternatively, apply the patch from https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3408 . Note: The new option performs DNS SAN or IP SAN verification during the TLS handshake. Configurations that set expected_peer_name while peer verification is disabled are rejected. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-94423 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | Net::LibSSH versions before 0.004 for Perl authenticate to an unverified server because connect never checks the host key against known_hosts. connect reports success as soon as ssh_connect returns SSH_OK. libssh leaves the known-hosts check to the application, and this binding never makes it, so the strict_hostkeycheck and knownhosts options are set on the session and then decide nothing. Password, agent and public-key authentication, channel and SFTP operations all run on a session whose peer was never identified, so an attacker who can redirect the connection receives the password when password authentication is used, and commands and data sent over the session. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-111879 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | DBI versions before 1.656 for Perl hang on a later open of a DBD::DBM table because a failed open_data does not release the table's lock. open_data creates the table's lock file and takes an exclusive flock on it for a CREATE, before the checks that can croak: a dbm_mldbm value that is not a module name, a failing tie, or a missing data file. The croak unwinds before the table object is blessed, so nothing releases the lock, and the meta data holding the open descriptor stays cached on the database handle. The dbm_mldbm and dbm_type values come from the DSN or the connect attributes, so a caller that chooses the serializer or the storage backend can trigger the failure. The flock has no timeout, so a later open of that table (even through a separate database handle) blocks for as long as the handle holding the stale lock lives, in the same process or any other. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-99166 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: rds: fix uninitialized trans dereference in CM event handler rds_rdma_cm_event_handler_cmn() assigns trans only when the RDMA device is an InfiniBand CA (RDMA_NODE_IB_CA). On any other device type, e.g. an iWARP RNIC such as siw, trans stays uninitialized, but the event switch dereferences it: unconditionally in the RDMA_CM_EVENT_CONNECT_REQUEST case via trans->cm_handle_connect(), and (with a connection context) in the ROUTE_RESOLVED and ESTABLISHED cases. An RDS listener on an iWARP device therefore crashes the kernel as soon as a connect request arrives: with CONFIG_INIT_STACK_ALL_ZERO the wild load becomes a NULL dereference at offset 0xa0 (&trans->cm_handle_connect) in the iw_cm_wq workqueue. GCC masks the bug in default builds by folding the uninitialized load into &rds_ib_transport; Clang-built kernels take the real uninitialized path and oops. The active side can land on a non-IB device too: the id that rds_ib_conn_path_connect() creates is not restricted to a node type, so rdma_resolve_addr() binds it to whichever device serves the local address, and an iWARP RNIC on the same netdev qualifies. The crash there is different: resolving a route on an iWARP id never fills in cm_id->route.path_rec, and the ROUTE_RESOLVED case writes path_rec[0].sl before it calls into the transport. The iWARP transport was dropped long ago and IB is the only transport left, so make that explicit: initialize trans to &rds_ib_transport at declaration, drop the conditional assignment, reject a connect request that arrives on a non-IB device, and drop a connection whose address resolved to one instead of resolving a route on it. The rejection is limited to RDMA_CM_EVENT_CONNECT_REQUEST on purpose: a non-zero return from the handler makes rdma_cm destroy the id the event was delivered on, which is right for the request's freshly created id but would free a connection id that RDS still owns for any other event. On the active side the id stays ic->i_cm_id and the connection's shutdown destroys it, so that case returns 0. [achender: reject only on RDMA_CM_EVENT_CONNECT_REQUEST instead of bailing out for every event on a non-IB device, so that rdma_cm does not destroy connection ids RDS still tracks; drop a connection whose address resolved to a non-IB device before a route is resolved on it; changelog adjusted] | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-99165 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: revalidate output stream after association connect wait When message interleaving is enabled, the first send waits for association establishment before building its data chunks. The wait drops the socket lock, and handshake processing can reduce the output stream count to the peer-advertised inbound stream count. sctp_stream_init() then frees the extension of every removed stream. The sender resumes with the stream that it checked before the wait. If the peer removed that stream, sctp_outq_tail() later dereferences its NULL extension. Fatal-oops policies then panic the host. KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x38-0x3f] RIP: sctp_outq_tail+0x49e/0xaa0 Call Trace: sctp_primitive_SEND sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc sctp_sendmsg A range check alone is insufficient. Stream reconfiguration can grow the output count again while the lock is released without recreating extensions freed by the earlier shrink. The stream can then be in range while its extension remains NULL. The send-buffer wait has the same issue. Factor the range and extension checks into a helper and repeat both after each send-path wait that drops the socket lock. Once the lock is reacquired, the validation remains stable through data creation and queueing. If validation fails after the connect wait, the auto-created association is already established. Return ESRCH so the existing caller path keeps it under state-machine ownership instead of freeing it directly, which would leave protocol, counter and socket state inconsistent. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-99009 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: connect the session socket without rfcomm_mutex An RFCOMM connect() issued while a BR/EDR link is being authenticated makes lockdep report a circular dependency, and the reported cycle is a real AB/BA between rfcomm_mutex and hdev->lock. rfcomm_security_cfm() is called from the HCI event path, which already holds hdev->lock: hci_rx_work() hci_event_packet() hci_cc_read_enc_key_size() [hdev->lock] hci_encrypt_cfm() [hci_cb_list_lock] rfcomm_security_cfm() [rfcomm_mutex] while an RFCOMM connect() from userspace takes the same two locks the other way round: rfcomm_sock_connect() rfcomm_dlc_open() [rfcomm_mutex] __rfcomm_dlc_open() rfcomm_session_create() kernel_connect() l2cap_sock_connect() l2cap_chan_connect() [hdev->lock] WARNING: possible circular locking dependency detected kworker/u131:1/1128 is trying to acquire lock: rfcomm_mutex, at: rfcomm_security_cfm+0x31/0x3e0 [rfcomm] but task is already holding lock: hci_cb_list_lock, at: hci_cc_read_enc_key_size+0x1d2/0xcc0 Chain exists of: rfcomm_mutex --> &hdev->lock --> hci_cb_list_lock hci_auth_complete_evt() and hci_encrypt_change_evt() reach the callback the same way. Both orders have to be seen in the same boot, which is why a BR/EDR connection alone is not enough to show it: a session set up by the remote side is created by rfcomm_accept_connection() in krfcommd, which calls kernel_accept() and never takes hdev->lock under rfcomm_mutex. Connecting a device that authenticates and encrypts the link and then calling connect() on an RFCOMM socket towards any address - the connect does not have to succeed, the order is recorded before the page timeout - reports it every time. Only the session socket has to be connected with the lock held, and it does not: nothing else can see the socket before it is put on the session list. So connect it first and take rfcomm_mutex afterwards, which removes the rfcomm_mutex -> hdev->lock order for good, rather than keeping the HCI event path out of rfcomm_mutex. rfcomm_session_create() becomes rfcomm_session_connect(), which returns the connected socket without touching the session list, and rfcomm_dlc_open() adds the session once it holds the lock again. If another opener added a session for the same pair while this socket was connecting, that session is used and this socket is dropped. __rfcomm_dlc_open() now takes the session it should use, and its state check runs after the lock is re-acquired, so a DLC that was opened or closed in the meantime is still handled. Over an existing ACL link the connection can complete before the session reaches the list, and the wakeup from the socket callback is then lost, so krfcommd is woken once the session is visible. Connecting without the lock opens a window in which the socket can be closed. The DLC is not on a session yet, so rfcomm_dlc_close() finds nothing to do and returns without touching it, and rfcomm_dlc_open() would then attach a DLC whose owner is gone. rfcomm_dlc_close() now marks such a DLC with RFCOMM_CLOSED, and rfcomm_dlc_open() checks the mark once it holds rfcomm_mutex again and drops the socket instead of attaching the DLC. The mark is cleared when an open starts, so a DLC that is reused is not affected. This covers both callers of rfcomm_dlc_open(), the socket and the tty layer. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98846 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: check RCV_SHUTDOWN after the sendmsg connect wait sctp_wait_for_connect() drops the socket lock while it sleeps. An out-of-the-blue ABORT can then be processed from the socket backlog and unlink the association. If a concurrent shutdown(fd, SHUT_RD) sets RCV_SHUTDOWN, the waiter breaks with err == 0 before checking asoc->base.dead. Its final sctp_association_put() can then free the association, leaving sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc() to continue with a dangling pointer. Check RCV_SHUTDOWN along with the wait error in sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc() before using the association again. The check only accesses the socket, so it needs no additional association reference. Return the existing -ESRCH so that sctp_sendmsg() skips freeing a new association that may already have been destroyed. Keep sctp_wait_for_connect() unchanged to preserve its behavior for the connect() caller. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98760 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: tipd: fix uninitialized typec_partner_desc in tps6598x_connect() tps6598x_connect() passes a stack-allocated typec_partner_desc to typec_register_partner() after initializing only usb_pd, accessory and identity. typec_register_partner() copies attach and deattach from the descriptor into the partner. With those fields left unset, garbage function pointers may be stored and later invoked from typec_partner_link_device() when a USB device is linked to the port. Uninitialized pd_revision and usb_capability similarly leak stack data through partner sysfs. Zero-initialize the descriptor so optional callbacks remain NULL and the remaining fields are zero. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98736 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_conn: Lock parent access during enhanced SCO setup Bluetooth: hci_conn: Lock parent access during enhanced SCO setup hci_enhanced_setup_sync() runs on the request workqueue without the hci_dev_lock held by its caller when setup was queued. Its CVSD capability check and find_next_esco_param() dereference conn->parent while the receive workqueue can unlink and release that parent. The following interleaving can cause a use-after-free: hci_enhanced_setup_sync() hci_disconn_complete_evt() load conn->parent hci_dev_lock() hci_conn_del(ACL parent) unlink SCO child drop link's parent reference clear child->parent release ACL parent bt_link_release() kfree(parent) hci_dev_unlock() read parent->features[0][3] The reference held for the queued SCO child does not keep its ACL parent alive after unlinking. Commit 42de40abe25d ("Bluetooth: hci_conn: fix the SCO setup context lifetime") protects the child stored in the queued context, but leaves these parent accesses unprotected. With a 40 ms diagnostic delay after loading conn->parent, an instrumented kernel based on fd179f8a05be, which already contains 42de40abe25d, BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in hci_enhanced_setup_sync+0xda5/0xdf0 Read of size 1 at addr ffff888102204047 by task kworker/u17:0/93 Call Trace: hci_enhanced_setup_sync+0xda5/0xdf0 hci_cmd_sync_work+0x13c/0x290 process_one_work+0x6b4/0x10e0 Allocated by task 92: __hci_conn_add+0x304/0x1df0 hci_connect_acl+0x349/0x3e0 hci_connect_sco+0x3b/0x9a0 sco_sock_connect+0x475/0xca0 Freed by task 94: kfree+0x121/0x3c0 bt_link_release+0x79/0xa0 device_release+0xc8/0x240 kobject_put+0x14d/0x280 hci_conn_del+0x524/0xe30 hci_disconn_complete_evt+0x403/0x8c0 hci_event_packet+0x71b/0xb20 hci_rx_work+0x293/0x730 The accessed address is 71 bytes into the freed ACL parent, at its features[0][3] byte; the queued SCO child is a different object. The diagnostic preserves the loaded parent across the delay, matching the unmodified compiled capability check, and does not change the parent references or teardown path. Hold hci_dev_lock() across the codec switch, including every call to find_next_esco_param(), and release it on all selection errors. Keep configure_datapath_sync() outside the critical section because it waits for HCI events. Preserve parameter selection and existing return values. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98735 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_core: Serialize ACL scheduling with channel deletion hci_chan_sent() selects a channel under RCU but drops the read lock before accessing chan->conn and returning the channel. The ACL and LE schedulers then use its packet queue and update its transmit counters without any protection against channel deletion. After TX selects a channel and releases RCU, a disconnect command timeout on the separate request workqueue can run hci_conn_failed() and l2cap_conn_del(). hci_chan_del() can then unlink the channel, complete synchronize_rcu(), purge its queue and free it before TX resumes. This causes use-after-free both in hci_chan_sent() and in its callers. | CVE-2026-90138 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock: don't check the listener's sk_err in vsock_accept() Syzbot reported an issue which can be reproduced with these steps: r0 = socket(AF_VSOCK, SOCK_STREAM, 0) bind(r0, {VMADDR_CID_ANY, PORT}) connect(r0, {VMADDR_CID_LOCAL, PORT}) -> -1, EPROTO (self-connect) listen(r0, backlog) -> 0 r1 = socket(AF_VSOCK, SOCK_STREAM, 0) connect(r1, {VMADDR_CID_LOCAL, PORT}) -> 0 accept(r0) -> -1, EPROTO (stale sk_err) Basically, it creates a socket (r0) and triggers a self-connect after binding it. This self-connect fails with EPROTO because it loops back to r0 while the socket is still in the TCP_SYN_SENT state, causing it to be incorrectly dispatched to the connecting-client path. The unexpected packet type encountered there sets sk_err to EPROTO. After that, it invokes a listen() call on the same socket. This listen() call succeeds because the kernel's listening path never inspects or clears sk_err. Then, a new socket (r1) is created as a normal client and connects to r0. However, vsock_accept() rejects this incoming connection because the listener's sk_err still holds the EPROTO error from the earlier failed self-connect. This rejection causes the child socket created for r1's connection to never be freed on virtio or hyperv transports; only the VMCI transport implements pending_work to revisit and clean up a rejected socket. For a non-blocking connect(), vsock_connect() may return -EINPROGRESS immediately, and vsock_connect_timeout() can later set sk->sk_err asynchronously. Since no vsock transport ever sets sk_err on a socket while it is in TCP_LISTEN state, checking it in vsock_accept() serves no purpose and only carries forward errors left behind by earlier, unrelated connection attempts on the same socket. Remove the checks so accept() no longer rejects valid incoming connections because of a stale error, which also avoids the resource leak described above. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-90087 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: do not leak an hci_conn when a second LE connect is rejected create_le_conn_complete() decides whether the failed connection is still pending by comparing it against hci_lookup_le_connect(), which returns the first LE connection in BT_CONNECT. That is the same connection only while at most one is pending. Two can be pending. Connections created on the passive scan path sit in BT_CONNECT with HCI_CONN_SCANNING set and are invisible to hci_lookup_le_connect() until hci_le_create_conn_sync() clears the flag when their command is issued, so the -EBUSY guard in hci_connect_le() does not prevent a second connection from being queued while the first is still on the scan path. Whenever two connections are in BT_CONNECT at once, the lookup may return one connection while create_le_conn_complete() is reporting the failure of the other; the early exit then drops the error and hci_conn_failed() never runs on the connection that failed. The controller also rejects a second HCI_OP_LE_CREATE_CONN issued while another connection creation is still outstanding, per Core Spec Vol 4, Part E. The spec calls for Command Disallowed there; the bcm43438 observed here answers with an LMP/LL error code instead, which bt_to_errno() maps to the -EPROTO (-71) in the log below. The leaked connection stays in BT_CONNECT forever, and because hci_connect_le() refuses to dial while hci_lookup_le_connect() finds anything, every subsequent attempt to reach any peer fails with -EBUSY and no command reaches the controller at all. Seen on a bcm43438 with two BLE peers polled on the same interval (state 5 is BT_CONNECT; both handles are UNSET ones, allocated from the ida above HCI_CONN_HANDLE_MAX): Bluetooth: hci1: Opcode 0x2013 failed: -71 # hcitool con < LE 14:9C:EF:03:68:81 handle 3840 state 5 lm CENTRAL < LE C4:D3:6A:8C:B5:38 handle 3841 state 5 lm CENTRAL A btmon capture across the next ten minutes of connect attempts contains no HCI_OP_LE_CREATE_CONN at all; outgoing LE connections do not recover until the adapter is reset. With this change the same scenario fails the rejected connection cleanly and further connects to both peers go through. Ask about the connection itself instead of about the device. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-89531 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: svcrdma: Reject connection when transport allocation fails handle_connect_req() returns without action when svc_rdma_create_xprt() fails to allocate the new transport. The CM core returns 0 for CONNECT_REQUEST events, so it does not destroy the new rdma_cm_id. Each allocation failure under memory pressure leaks one rdma_cm_id, and a remote peer driving connection attempts can amplify this. Reject the connection by returning a non-zero status from the CM event handler, which tells the CM core to destroy the orphaned cm_id. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-74386 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-tcp: fix page fragment cache leak in error path In nvmet_tcp_alloc_queue(), when a connection is closed during the allocation process (e.g., nvmet_tcp_set_queue_sock() returns -ENOTCONN), the error handling jumps to out_destroy_sq and then to out_ida_remove without draining the page fragment cache. Although nvmet_tcp_free_cmd() is called in some error paths to release individual page fragments, the underlying page cache reference held by queue->pf_cache is never released. The first allocation using pf_cache is the call to nvmet_tcp_alloc_cmd() for queue->connect, which happens after ida_alloc() returns successfully. This results in a page leak each time a connection fails during allocation, which could lead to memory exhaustion over time if connections are repeatedly opened and closed. Fix this by calling page_frag_cache_drain() before freeing the queue structure in the out_ida_remove label. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2026-72336 | unscored | 0.00% | linux | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: 6lowpan: hold L2CAP conn across debugfs control get_l2cap_conn() looks up an LE hci_conn under hdev protection, but then drops that protection before reading hcon->l2cap_data and before lowpan_control_write() later dereferences conn->hcon. A disconnect or device close can tear down the same L2CAP connection in that window. The buggy scenario involves two paths, with each column showing the order within that path: 6LoWPAN control write: HCI disconnect/device close: 1. get_l2cap_conn() finds hcon 1. hci_disconn_cfm() dispatches and hcon->l2cap_data. the L2CAP disconnect callback. 2. get_l2cap_conn() drops hdev 2. l2cap_conn_del() clears protection and returns conn. hcon->l2cap_data and drops the L2CAP connection reference. 3. lowpan_control_write() reads 3. hci_conn_del() removes and drops conn->hcon. the HCI connection. Take a reference to the L2CAP connection with l2cap_conn_hold_unless_zero() while hdev is still locked, and drop that reference after the debugfs command's last use of conn. This mirrors the existing L2CAP ACL receive-side handoff and keeps the connection dereferenceable after leaving hdev protection. Export the existing helper so the bluetooth_6lowpan module can use the same lifetime primitive. | CVE-2026-116593 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | Apache Kafka Connect has the /connector-plugins/{connector-type}/config/validate endpoint on its REST API to validate connector configurations. Apache Kafka Connect also support Configuration Providers which enable to hide the values of sensitive configuration and only resolve them at runtime. An attacker with access to the validate endpoint can use it to resolve and return plaintext values via any of the configuration providers installed on a Connect worker. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.2.2, 4.3.2, 4.4.0 or above, which fix this issue. | Fri 30 Oct |
| CVE-2024-41082 | unscored | 0.00% | linux | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-fabrics: use reserved tag for reg read/write command In some scenarios, if too many commands are issued by nvme command in the same time by user tasks, this may exhaust all tags of admin_q. If a reset (nvme reset or IO timeout) occurs before these commands finish, reconnect routine may fail to update nvme regs due to insufficient tags, which will cause kernel hang forever. In order to workaround this issue, maybe we can let reg_read32()/reg_read64()/reg_write32() use reserved tags. This maybe safe for nvmf: 1. For the disable ctrl path, we will not issue connect command 2. For the enable ctrl / fw activate path, since connect and reg_xx() are called serially. So the reserved tags may still be enough while reg_xx() use reserved tags. | Fri 30 Oct |

| CVE-2026-115644 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | Apache Kafka Connect contains an authentication bypass vulnerability affecting the admin REST API when admin.listeners is configured with a separate listener from the main listeners property. When operators isolate the admin REST API by explicitly configuring the "admin.listeners" property, REST extensions specified via rest.extension.classes (such as BasicAuthSecurityRestExtension) are not registered or applied to the admin resource configuration. While the primary REST API listener (configured via listeners) enforces configured authentication and authorization filters, endpoints mounted under the separate admin listener (/admin/loggers) fail to inherit or instantiate these extension filters. As a result, the admin logger endpoint accepts unauthenticated read and write requests even when security extensions are active on the main listener. Impact: An unauthenticated attacker with network access to the admin listener can: 1. Read the complete set of logger names and levels, disclosing loaded class names and which security extensions are in use. 2. Write logger levels, including with scope=cluster which propagates the change to all workers in the Connect cluster. This can be used to suppress logging (setting root to OFF) or generate excessive log output (setting root to TRACE), potentially impacting availability and observability. Mitigation: Users who cannot upgrade immediately can remove the admin.listeners configuration (or leave it unset). When unset, admin resources share the regular listener and inherit its security extensions. Resolution: From Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, and 4.4.0, we make sure the REST extensions specified via "rest.extension.classes" will also apply to "admin.listeners". | Wed 28 Oct |

At the NIP in phy_link_topo_add_phy() is a netdev_need_ops_lock() check. This was added by the following commit ded86da4bbb7 ("net: ethtool: relax ethnl_req_get_phydev() locking assertion") The bug shows up because at the time of_phy_connect() was called, the netdev_ops were *not yet* determined. My fix is to move the code that sets netdev_ops+commac.ops+ethtool_ops further up as emac_init_config() derives that by looking at the device-tree and sets the required dev->phy_mode accordingly. During review, the Sashiko bot's AI stated that the commac assignment became a dead store. Great catch! To keep the original behavior as-is, one mentioned option "set dev->commac.ops = &emac_commac_ops only in the non-gige case?" sounded like a great plan. So the dev->commac.ops assignment for the non-gige-case moves into the else block. This patch was tested on a WD MyBook Live (RGMII). the device now works again. | 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-61634 | 0.0 none | 0.00% | no CPE yet | The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.33.0, the AMQP connection tuning path records the negotiated AMQP frame_max value, but src/main/java/com/rabbitmq/client/impl/SocketFrameHandler.java and NettyFrameHandlerFactory continue to validate broker-controlled frame payload lengths against maxInboundMessageBodySize because the negotiated limit is not applied consistently through setMaxInboundFramePayloadSize. A malicious or compromised broker can send a method frame larger than the negotiated frame_max during or after connection establishment, causing the client to allocate and decode a protocol-invalid frame instead of rejecting it with MalformedFrameException. The protocol violation can disrupt the affected connection and cause client-side denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 5.33.0. | 22 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98734 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_core: Serialize SCO and ISO scheduling with teardown hci_low_sent() selects a connection under RCU but drops the read lock before calculating its quota and returning it to the scheduler. The connection is then used without lifetime protection by hci_sched_iso() and hci_sched_sco(). After the TX worker drops the RCU read lock, hci_abort_conn_sync() on hdev->req_workqueue can remove the connection from the hash, complete synchronize_rcu(), purge its queues and release it. The TX worker on hdev->workqueue can then access the freed connection in hci_quote_sent() or while dequeuing packets and updating conn->sent. KASAN reported: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in hci_low_sent+0x730/0x840 Workqueue: hci0 hci_tx_work Call Trace: hci_low_sent+0x730/0x840 hci_sched_iso+0x25e/0x4d0 hci_tx_work+0x239/0xcb0 Allocated by task 93: __hci_conn_add+0x16f/0x1b40 hci_bind_bis+0x782/0x17b0 hci_connect_bis+0xa0/0x510 iso_sock_connect+0x589/0x1050 Freed by task 88: kfree+0x131/0x3c0 device_release+0xc8/0x240 kobject_put+0x14d/0x280 hci_conn_del+0x55a/0xe80 hci_disconnect_sync+0x156/0x180 hci_abort_conn_sync+0x3e7/0x940 hci_cmd_sync_work+0x13c/0x290 Hold hci_dev_lock() across connection selection and transmission in both SCO and ISO scheduling, serializing them with connection teardown. This also prevents queuing completion timestamps after the connection queues have been purged. Extending RCU across transmission would be unsafe because the transmit path can sleep. Keep the ISO timeout check outside the mutex since hci_link_tx_to() takes it itself. The preceding channel fix already holds this mutex in the ACL and LE schedulers, which call the SCO scheduler between packets. Move the SCO body to __hci_sched_sco(), assert that its caller holds the mutex, and use it directly from these locked paths. Keep a locking hci_sched_sco() wrapper for the direct calls from hci_tx_work(). This avoids recursively acquiring the device mutex while preserving the scheduling order. Remove the obsolete claim that connection removal disables TX. | 21 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98107 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: fix out-of-bounds write in l2cap_ecred_connect l2cap_chan_connect() tries to ensure there are no more than L2CAP_ECRED_CONN_SCID_MAX pending ECRED channels, so they fit in the same L2CAP_ECRED_CONN_REQ that l2cap_ecred_connect() constructs. However, the check only counts deferred channels. If 6 L2CAP sockets are connected at the same time in order DDDDND (D=deferred, N=non-deferred), the last can bump the total to max+1. It results to one __le16 written out of bounds of the scid array, and an invalid ECRED_CONN_REQ being sent. Fix by leaving room for the non-deferred pending ECRED channels in the counting in l2cap_chan_connect(), so the limit can't be exceeded. Move counting under same critical section where the channel is added. Although race conditions involving this appear unreachable, it's easier to see. | CVE-2026-98723 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet: copy the hostid into the ctrl before creating PR pc_refs Commit 6202783184bf ("nvmet: Improve nvmet_alloc_ctrl() interface and implementation") added a second uuid_copy() of args->hostid near the end of nvmet_alloc_ctrl(), and commit 7b658153f1b8 ("nvmet: Remove duplicate uuid_copy") removed the original copy that sat before nvmet_ctrl_init_pr() instead of the new one. Since then nvmet_ctrl_init_pr() snapshots ctrl->hostid into the per-controller per-namespace reservation refs while the uuid_copy() from the connect data runs later, after the controller is published. The ctrl is allocated with kzalloc(), so every pc_ref created on this path stores the nil UUID. pc_ref->hostid has a single consumer: nvmet_pr_set_ctrl_to_abort() matches it against the preempted registrant's hostid to kill and drain the victim's in-flight I/O for Preempt and Abort. The match can never hit with the nil UUID, so whenever a namespace with reservations enabled exists before a host connects, which includes every reconnect, Preempt and Abort silently degrades into a plain Preempt: the preempting host sees success while the victim's in-flight I/O is still in the air. Copy the hostid where the rest of the connect data is consumed, before the controller is published and before nvmet_ctrl_init_pr() takes its snapshot. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98595 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: udp: remove a disconnected socket from the 4-tuple hash table A UDP socket bound to a specific address and port keeps its entry in the 4-tuple hash table after it is disconnected: sk binds to 127.0.0.1:21001 sk connects to 127.0.0.2:20001 // filed in the 4-tuple table sk disconnects, connect(AF_UNSPEC) // still filed, peer now 0.0.0.0:0 __udp_disconnect() takes a socket out of that table only as a side effect of ->rehash() or ->unhash(), and it skips ->rehash() when SOCK_BINDADDR_LOCK is set and ->unhash() when SOCK_BINDPORT_LOCK is set. commit 6996a2d2d0a6 ("udp: Unhash auto-bound connected sk from 4-tuple hash table when disconnected.") fixed the same end state for a wildcard-bound socket, by a path this one does not take. The entry is counted whether or not anything hits it. hash4_cnt on the hash2 slot stays raised for as long as the socket lives, so udp_has_hash4() keeps sending every packet for that address and port through the 4-tuple lookup first. On IPv6 it can also be hit. __udp_disconnect() does not clear sk_v6_daddr, so udp_v6_rehash() files the entry under the peer the socket was connected to with a zero dport, and inet6_match() compares that same field: a datagram from the former peer with a zero source port matches, and source port zero is accepted on receive. On IPv4 the peer is cleared, so a match would need a zero source address as well, which the routing layer rejects as martian. The stale sk_v6_daddr is a separate defect, not addressed here; removing the entry closes this path either way. The entry can also be relocated. __udp_disconnect() clears sk_bound_dev_if, so a subsequent SO_BINDTODEVICE calls ->rehash(), and because the receive address is still specific udp_lib_rehash() moves the entry instead of removing it, into the bucket that (rcv_saddr, num, 0, 0) hashes to -- a pure function of the address and port, so every socket reaching this state on one address and port collects in one bucket. The bucket cannot be chosen from outside, as udp_ehashfn() is seeded with a per-boot secret. This last one became reachable only with commit 644f9108f3a5 ("udp: Make rehash4 independent in udp_lib_rehash()"), which moved the hash4 handling out of a branch a disconnected socket does not take; the stale entry itself dates from the commit in Fixes. Take the socket out of the table before __udp_disconnect() runs, while it still matches how it was filed. This also reaches the wildcard case ahead of udp_lib_rehash()'s udp_unhash4() branch, leaving that branch unreachable from udp_disconnect(); removing it belongs in net-next. udp_disconnect() and udp_abort() are the only UDP entries into __udp_disconnect(), which is shared with raw, ping and l2tp sockets that are not struct udp_sock: ping_prot.obj_size is sizeof(struct inet_sock), so udp_hashed4() on one would read past the allocation. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98594 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tg3: clean up PHYLIB resources on probe failure tg3_get_invariants() can register an MDIO bus and connect a PHY for USE_PHYLIB devices. If tg3_init_one() later fails, its common error path releases the mappings and netdev without undoing those PHYLIB resources. Disconnect the PHY and unregister the MDIO bus before the remaining teardown. Guard PHY cleanup with USE_PHYLIB to match tg3_phy_init(), and call tg3_mdio_fini() unconditionally to match tg3_mdio_init(). The existing IS_CONNECTED and MDIOBUS_INITED flags make both helpers safe when initialization only completed partially. This issue was identified during our ongoing static-analysis research while reviewing kernel code. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98581 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: llcp: Fix list corruption / refcount desync in nfc_llcp_recv_dm() nfc_llcp_recv_dm() handles DM(NOBOUND)/DM(REJ) for a socket that is still linked on local->connecting_sockets: it looks the socket up with nfc_llcp_connecting_sock_get(), sets sk->sk_state = LLCP_CLOSED and returns, without taking the socket lock and without unlinking the socket from the connecting_sockets list. llcp_sock_release() selects the list to unlink from by sk_state: a socket in LLCP_CONNECTING is unlinked from connecting_sockets, otherwise from the sockets list. Because recv_dm left the socket physically on connecting_sockets but in the LLCP_CLOSED state, release() takes the else branch and calls nfc_llcp_sock_unlink(&local->sockets, sk). That runs sk_del_node_init() while holding sockets.lock, i.e. it removes the socket from the connecting_sockets hlist under the wrong lock. A concurrent connect() linking another socket onto connecting_sockets under connecting_sockets.lock then mutates the same hlist unserialized, which corrupts the list and desyncs the sk_add_node()/sk_del_node_init() sock_hold()/__sock_put() pairing. An unprivileged local process holding LLCP sockets, with the DM supplied by the remote peer over an established LLCP link, can drive this to leak kernel sockets without bound (the mis-decrement goes through the non-freeing __sock_put() path, so the object is never released), leading to memory exhaustion / DoS. This is the same class of bug that was fixed in the sibling handler nfc_llcp_recv_cc() by commit b493ea2765cc ("nfc: llcp: Fix use-after-free race in nfc_llcp_recv_cc()"); recv_dm did not receive the equivalent fix. Fix it the same way: take lock_sock(), re-check that the socket is still hashed (release() may have won the race), and for the NOBOUND/REJ case unlink it from connecting_sockets before moving it to LLCP_CLOSED. The unlink drops the connecting_sockets membership reference via sk_del_node_init(), leaving the socket unhashed, so the later nfc_llcp_sock_unlink() in llcp_sock_release() becomes a no-op and no double put occurs. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98563 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: phylink: record the PHY only once bringup cannot fail phylink_bringup_phy() stores the PHY in pl->phydev before its last fallible step: on a MAC whose phylink ops implement LPI, phy_eee_rx_clock_stop() can fail with a real MDIO error. The callers unwind with phy_detach(), which knows nothing about pl->phydev, so a pointer to a PHY that is no longer attached outlives the failed connect. What that costs depends on how the caller got here. phylink_connect_phy() goes through phylink_attach_phy(), which refuses to attach while pl->phydev is set, turning a transient MDIO error into a permanent -EBUSY. The SFP path is worse than that: sfp_sm_probe_phy() answers the failure with phy_device_remove() and phy_device_free(), and it assigns sfp->mod_phy only past that error return, so nothing clears pl->phydev and it is left pointing at a freed phy_device that phylink_resolve() and the ethtool helpers go on reading. phylink_fwnode_phy_connect() has no such check, so a later connect overwrites the stale pointer and hides the problem. A disconnect does not: phylink_disconnect_phy() hands that pointer to phy_disconnect(), and the second phy_detach() on the same PHY drops references the first one already released. Found while making a DSA port survive a PHY whose driver arrives after the switch probes: keeping the port across a failed connect and retrying is what makes this window reachable. Publish the pointer after the last call that can fail instead of unwinding it afterwards. Nothing between the two points reads pl->phydev, and the registration that follows cannot fail: phy_request_interrupt() falls back to polling on its own. The PHY-side state keeps the order it had, so no MDIO operation moves relative to another. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98462 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_conn: fix CIS hold ownership on reuse Commit 69997d50ec57 ("Bluetooth: ISO: handle bound CIS cleanup via hci_conn") made hci_bind_cis() and hci_connect_cis() return a connection with one hold for the ISO layer. hci_bind_cis() currently takes that hold only after configuring a CIS, so its BT_CONNECTED and matching BT_BOUND paths return a bare lookup result. Its configuration failure path can likewise call hci_conn_drop() before taking a hold. Take the hold before any state-dependent return or configuration error so every successful return follows the documented ownership contract and every error drop is balanced. hci_connect_cis() also assumes hci_conn_link() always takes a new CIS hold before dropping the one returned by hci_bind_cis(). However, the helper returns an existing link without taking another hold. In that case, preserve the CIS hold for the caller and drop the redundant LE hold because the existing link already owns its parent hold. Returning early also avoids changing an existing CIS back to BT_CONNECT. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98459 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: balance the parent hold in hci_bind_bis() hci_conn_link() takes a lifetime reference to its parent with hci_conn_get(), but only takes an operational hold on the child. hci_conn_unlink() later balances both a hold and a reference on the parent. The SCO and CIS paths pass a parent acquired from a connect helper, so it already has a hold. For an additional BIS, hci_bind_bis() obtains the parent from hci_conn_hash_lookup_big(), which returns a bare pointer. Unlinking the child then drops the parent's existing hold and can schedule it for disconnection while its socket is still using it. Take a hold on the parent before linking it and drop that hold if linking fails. A successful link transfers the hold to hci_conn_unlink(). | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98458 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: release unused CIS holds after channel attach hci_bind_cis() and hci_connect_cis() return one hci_conn hold for the ISO layer. A new channel association consumes that hold, which is eventually released by iso_conn_free(). There are two cases where iso_chan_add() does not create an association: it returns success when the socket is already attached to the same iso_conn, and it returns -EBUSY when another socket is attached. The hold returned for the current call is unused in both cases. This occurs when deferred setup calls iso_connect_cis() again for its existing socket, or when another socket attempts to reuse the CIS. Detect the idempotent case while the connection is locked and release the unused hold after iso_chan_add(). Also release it on -EBUSY. Do not drop it for other errors: a newly allocated iso_conn releases the transferred hold when its last temporary reference is put. | 19 Oct |
