CVE-2019-3858 9.1 critical 6.0% libssh2, fedoraproject, fedora, debian_linux An out of bounds read flaw was discovered in libssh2 before 1.8.1 when a specially crafted SFTP packet is received from the server. A remote attacker who compromises a SSH server may be able to cause a Denial of Service or read data in the client memory. 14 Oct
CVE-2022-32221 9.8 critical 5.0% haxx, netapp, curl, clustered_data_ontap, h300s_firmware When doing HTTP(S) transfers, libcurl might erroneously use the read callback (`CURLOPT_READFUNCTION`) to ask for data to send, even when the `CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS` option has been set, if the same handle previously was used to issue a `PUT` request which used that callback. This flaw may surprise the application and cause it to misbehave and either send off the wrong data or use memory after free or similar in the subsequent `POST` request. The problem exists in the logic for a reused handle when it is changed from a PUT to a POST. 14 Oct
CVE-2022-23219 9.8 critical 5.0% gnu, oracle, glibc, communications_cloud_native_core_binding_support_function, communications_cloud_native_core_network_function_cloud_native_environment The deprecated compatibility function clnt_create in the sunrpc module of the GNU C Library (aka glibc) through 2.34 copies its hostname argument on the stack without validating its length, which may result in a buffer overflow, potentially resulting in a denial of service or (if an application is not built with a stack protector enabled) arbitrary code execution. 14 Oct
CVE-2022-23218 9.8 critical 5.0% gnu, oracle, glibc, communications_cloud_native_core_unified_data_repository, enterprise_operations_monitor The deprecated compatibility function svcunix_create in the sunrpc module of the GNU C Library (aka glibc) through 2.34 copies its path argument on the stack without validating its length, which may result in a buffer overflow, potentially resulting in a denial of service or (if an application is not built with a stack protector enabled) arbitrary code execution. 14 Oct
CVE-2019-10160 9.8 critical 5.0% python, redhat, enterprise_linux_desktop, enterprise_linux_eus A security regression of CVE-2019-9636 was discovered in python since commit d537ab0ff9767ef024f26246899728f0116b1ec3 affecting versions 2.7, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7 and from v3.8.0a4 through v3.8.0b1, which still allows an attacker to exploit CVE-2019-9636 by abusing the user and password parts of a URL. When an application parses user-supplied URLs to store cookies, authentication credentials, or other kind of information, it is possible for an attacker to provide specially crafted URLs to make the application locate host-related information (e.g. cookies, authentication data) and send them to a different host than where it should, unlike if the URLs had been correctly parsed. The result of an attack may vary based on the application. 14 Oct
CVE-2019-17531 9.8 critical 5.0% fasterxml, debian, jackson-databind, debian_linux, jboss_enterprise_application_platform A Polymorphic Typing issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind 2.0.0 through 2.9.10. When Default Typing is enabled (either globally or for a specific property) for an externally exposed JSON endpoint and the service has the apache-log4j-extra (version 1.2.x) jar in the classpath, and an attacker can provide a JNDI service to access, it is possible to make the service execute a malicious payload. 8 Oct
CVE-2019-16335 9.8 critical 5.0% fasterxml, fedoraproject, jackson-databind, fedora, debian_linux A Polymorphic Typing issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind before 2.9.10. It is related to com.zaxxer.hikari.HikariDataSource. This is a different vulnerability than CVE-2019-14540. 8 Oct
CVE-2016-9063 9.8 critical 5.0% mozilla, debian, firefox, debian_linux, python An integer overflow during the parsing of XML using the Expat library. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 50. 8 Oct
CVE-2019-3861 9.1 critical 5.0% libssh2, debian, debian_linux, ontap_select_deploy_administration_utility An out of bounds read flaw was discovered in libssh2 before 1.8.1 in the way SSH packets with a padding length value greater than the packet length are parsed. A remote attacker who compromises a SSH server may be able to cause a Denial of Service or read data in the client memory. 14 Oct
CVE-2019-3860 9.1 critical 5.0% libssh2, debian, debian_linux, ontap_select_deploy_administration_utility An out of bounds read flaw was discovered in libssh2 before 1.8.1 in the way SFTP packets with empty payloads are parsed. A remote attacker who compromises a SSH server may be able to cause a Denial of Service or read data in the client memory. 14 Oct
CVE-2022-22824 9.8 critical 4.0% libexpat_project, tenable, libexpat, nessus, debian_linux defineAttribute in xmlparse.c in Expat (aka libexpat) before 2.4.3 has an integer overflow. 14 Oct
CVE-2022-22823 9.8 critical 4.0% libexpat_project, tenable, libexpat, nessus, debian_linux build_model in xmlparse.c in Expat (aka libexpat) before 2.4.3 has an integer overflow. 14 Oct
CVE-2021-33574 9.8 critical 4.0% gnu, fedoraproject, glibc, fedora, cloud_backup The mq_notify function in the GNU C Library (aka glibc) versions 2.32 and 2.33 has a use-after-free. It may use the notification thread attributes object (passed through its struct sigevent parameter) after it has been freed by the caller, leading to a denial of service (application crash) or possibly unspecified other impact. 14 Oct
CVE-2020-7788 9.8 critical 4.0% ini_project, debian, ini, debian_linux This affects the package ini before 1.3.6. If an attacker submits a malicious INI file to an application that parses it with ini.parse, they will pollute the prototype on the application. This can be exploited further depending on the context. 8 Oct
CVE-2020-6072 9.8 critical 4.0% videolabs, debian, libmicrodns, debian_linux An exploitable code execution vulnerability exists in the label-parsing functionality of Videolabs libmicrodns 0.1.0. When parsing compressed labels in mDNS messages, the rr_decode function's return value is not checked, leading to a double free that could be exploited to execute arbitrary code. An attacker can send an mDNS message to trigger this vulnerability. 8 Oct
CVE-2019-13962 9.8 critical 4.0% videolan, opensuse, vlc_media_player, backports_sle, leap lavc_CopyPicture in modules/codec/avcodec/video.c in VideoLAN VLC media player through 3.0.7 has a heap-based buffer over-read because it does not properly validate the width and height. 8 Oct
CVE-2018-19857 9.1 critical 4.0% videolan, debian, vlc_media_player, debian_linux The CAF demuxer in modules/demux/caf.c in VideoLAN VLC media player 3.0.4 may read memory from an uninitialized pointer when processing magic cookies in CAF files, because a ReadKukiChunk() cast converts a return value to an unsigned int even if that value is negative. This could result in a denial of service and/or a potential infoleak. 15 Oct
CVE-2017-7375 9.8 critical 3.0% xmlsoft, debian, libxml2, debian_linux, android A flaw in libxml2 allows remote XML entity inclusion with default parser flags (i.e., when the caller did not request entity substitution, DTD validation, external DTD subset loading, or default DTD attributes). Depending on the context, this may expose a higher-risk attack surface in libxml2 not usually reachable with default parser flags, and expose content from local files, HTTP, or FTP servers (which might be otherwise unreachable). 14 Oct
CVE-2021-46848 9.1 critical 3.0% gnu, fedoraproject, libtasn1, fedora, debian_linux GNU Libtasn1 before 4.19.0 has an ETYPE_OK off-by-one array size check that affects asn1_encode_simple_der. 14 Oct
CVE-2021-35942 9.1 critical 3.0% gnu, netapp, glibc, active_iq_unified_manager, e-series_santricity_os_controller The wordexp function in the GNU C Library (aka glibc) through 2.33 may crash or read arbitrary memory in parse_param (in posix/wordexp.c) when called with an untrusted, crafted pattern, potentially resulting in a denial of service or disclosure of information. This occurs because atoi was used but strtoul should have been used to ensure correct calculations. 14 Oct
CVE-2019-20367 9.1 critical 3.0% freedesktop, debian, libbsd, debian_linux, ubuntu_linux nlist.c in libbsd before 0.10.0 has an out-of-bounds read during a comparison for a symbol name from the string table (strtab). 14 Oct
CVE-2026-44359 10.0 critical 2.0% no CPE yet Meshtastic is an open source mesh networking solution. Prior to version 2.7.21.1370b23, the Meshtastic GitHub repository's main_matrix.yml workflow is triggered by pull_request_target and multiple jobs check out the attacker's fork code and execute it with access to repository secrets and elevated GITHUB_TOKEN permissions. No approval gate exists. Pull requests from external users with author_association: "NONE" triggered the CI workflow automatically. The workflow directly executes attacker-controlled files from the fork checkout. This issue could have resulted in supply chain compromise, self-hosted runner compromise, and/or repository takeover for the repo. This issue is separate from GHSA-6mwm-v2vv-pp96, which addressed a command injection via github.head_ref in the setup job of the same workflow. That fix correctly moved to environment variables. However, the more critical fork checkout vulnerability across the check, build, and build-debian-src jobs was not addressed. Version 2.7.21.1370b23 contains a patch for thie issue. 24 Oct
CVE-2024-52533 9.8 critical 2.0% gnome, debian, glib, debian_linux, active_iq_unified_manager gio/gsocks4aproxy.c in GNOME GLib before 2.82.1 has an off-by-one error and resultant buffer overflow because SOCKS4_CONN_MSG_LEN is not sufficient for a trailing '\0' character. 15 Oct
CVE-2022-36227 9.8 critical 2.0% libarchive, debian, debian_linux, fedora In libarchive before 3.6.2, the software does not check for an error after calling calloc function that can return with a NULL pointer if the function fails, which leads to a resultant NULL pointer dereference. NOTE: the discoverer cites this CWE-476 remark but third parties dispute the code-execution impact: "In rare circumstances, when NULL is equivalent to the 0x0 memory address and privileged code can access it, then writing or reading memory is possible, which may lead to code execution." 8 Oct
CVE-2026-45898 9.8 critical 1.0% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/iwcm: Fix workqueue list corruption by removing work_list The commit e1168f0 ("RDMA/iwcm: Simplify cm_event_handler()") changed the work submission logic to unconditionally call queue_work() with the expectation that queue_work() would have no effect if work was already pending. The problem is that a free list of struct iwcm_work is used (for which struct work_struct is embedded), so each call to queue_work() is basically unique and therefore does indeed queue the work. This causes a problem in the work handler which walks the work_list until it's empty to process entries. This means that a single run of the work handler could process item N+1 and release it back to the free list while the actual workqueue entry is still queued. It could then get reused (INIT_WORK...) and lead to list corruption in the workqueue logic. Fix this by just removing the work_list. The workqueue already does this for us. This fixes the following error that was observed when stress testing with ucmatose on an Intel E830 in iWARP mode: [ 151.465780] list_del corruption. next->prev should be ffff9f0915c69c08, but was ffff9f0a1116be08. CVE-2026-90173 9.8 critical 1.0% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: smbdirect: free completion queues with ib_free_cq() smbdirect_connection_destroy_qp() creates the send and receive completion queues with ib_alloc_cq_any(), which for IB_POLL_WORKQUEUE arms an internal completion handler that runs ib_cq_poll_work() on a workqueue. Tearing those CQs down with ib_destroy_cq() frees them without first cancelling that poll work. If the provider posts a completion late -- for example Soft-RoCE (rxe) posting an RNR error from rxe_receiver() after rdma_destroy_qp() -- the handler re-queues ib_cq_poll_work() on the already-freed CQ, and a follow-on access faults in rxe_req_notify_cq(). Use ib_free_cq(), which cancel_work_sync()es the poll work before freeing the CQ, so no completion handler can run against a freed queue. CVE-2026-89482 9.8 critical 1.0% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-tcp: do not accept C2HData based on blk_rq_payload_bytes() alone Commit 25e5cb780e62 ("nvme-tcp: fix possible crash in write_zeroes processing") established that blk_rq_payload_bytes() must not be read without first checking blk_rq_nr_phys_segments(), and recorded the result in nvme_tcp_setup_cmd_pdu() as req->data_len. The receive side was left as it was. The two differ for REQ_OP_WRITE_ZEROES, which has no physical segments but a non-zero blk_rq_bytes(), so setup leaves req->iter untouched while the receive gate lets a C2HData through and nvme_tcp_recv_data() copies into whatever the previous command on that tag left there. The driver-private area is zeroed only when the tag set is allocated. Reproduced with a test target that leaves a residual iterator on a tag and then sends a C2HData for a WRITE_ZEROES command on the same tag: BUG: KASAN: wild-memory-access in _copy_to_iter+0x642/0x1330 Write of size 512 at addr ffe728c2175dfa81 by task kworker/0:1H/103 CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 103 Comm: kworker/0:1H Not tainted 7.2.0-rc5-NVMETCP-gf5098b6bae76 #1 PREEMPT(lazy) Hardware name: QEMU Ubuntu 24.04 PC v2 (i440FX + PIIX, arch_caps fix, 1996), BIOS 1.16.3-debian-1.16.3-2 04/01/2014 Workqueue: nvme_tcp_wq nvme_tcp_io_work Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl+0x53/0x70 kasan_report+0xce/0x100 ? _copy_to_iter+0x642/0x1330 kasan_check_range+0x105/0x1b0 __asan_memcpy+0x3c/0x60 _copy_to_iter+0x642/0x1330 ? __pfx_sock_has_perm+0x10/0x10 ? worker_thread+0x45b/0xd10 ? __pfx__copy_to_iter+0x10/0x10 ? _raw_spin_lock_bh+0x83/0xe0 ? __pfx__raw_spin_lock_bh+0x10/0x10 __skb_datagram_iter+0xf3/0x820 ? __pfx_simple_copy_to_iter+0x10/0x10 ? __asan_memcpy+0x3c/0x60 ? skb_copy_bits+0x58d/0x830 skb_copy_datagram_iter+0x37/0x120 nvme_tcp_recv_skb+0xa07/0x4320 ? __pfx_nvme_tcp_recv_skb+0x10/0x10 __tcp_read_sock+0x1ab/0x810 ? __pfx_nvme_tcp_recv_skb+0x10/0x10 ? __pfx_lock_sock_nested+0x10/0x10 ? __pfx___tcp_read_sock+0x10/0x10 nvme_tcp_try_recv+0x152/0x1e0 ? __pfx_nvme_tcp_try_recv+0x10/0x10 ? __pfx_mutex_unlock+0x10/0x10 nvme_tcp_io_work+0x1e4/0x6c0 ? __schedule+0x181a/0x49f0 ? __pfx_nvme_tcp_io_work+0x10/0x10 process_one_work+0x633/0x1030 Keep the blk_rq_payload_bytes() test and add req->data_len to it. The old test is what rejects a C2HData naming a tag that is no longer in flight, because blk_update_request() zeroes rq->__data_len on completion; req->data_len and req->curr_bio are driver-private and survive completion, so they cannot stand in for it. Setup initialises the iterator only when both req->curr_bio and req->data_len are set, so the gate now tests the same two. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-80986 9.8 critical 1.0% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: bound the peer rkey counts in SMC-Rv2 LLC messages On a link whose device has max_recv_sge == 1 there is no shared v2 receive buffer, and smc_llc_save_add_link_rkeys() takes the v2 extension from 44 bytes past the start of the queue entry's inline message: ext = (struct smc_llc_msg_add_link_v2_ext *)(llc_msg + SMC_WR_TX_SIZE); The entry is a 72-byte allocation and the extension starts at offset 68, so ext->num_rkeys at offset 94 is already past it. CVE-2025-34203 9.3 critical 1.0% vasion, virtual_appliance_application, virtual_appliance_host Vasion Print (formerly PrinterLogic) Virtual Appliance Host versions prior to 22.0.1002 and Application versions prior to 20.0.2614 (VA and SaaS deployments) contain multiple Docker containers that include outdated, end-of-life, unsupported, or otherwise vulnerable third-party components (examples: Nginx 1.17.x, OpenSSL 1.1.1d, various EOL Alpine/Debian/Ubuntu base images, and EOL Laravel/PHP libraries). These components are present across many container images and increase the product's attack surface, enabling exploitation chains when leveraged by an attacker. Multiple distinct EOL versions and unpatched libraries across containers; Nginx binaries date from 2019 in several images and Laravel versions observed include EOL releases (for example Laravel 5.5.x, 5.7.x, 5.8.x). This vulnerability has been identified by the vendor as: V-2024-014 — Outdated Dependencies. 18 Oct
CVE-2026-43407 9.1 critical 1.0% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Fix potential out-of-bounds access in ceph_handle_auth_reply() This patch fixes an out-of-bounds access in ceph_handle_auth_reply() that can be triggered by a message of type CEPH_MSG_AUTH_REPLY. In ceph_handle_auth_reply(), the value of the payload_len field of such a message is stored in a variable of type int. A value greater than INT_MAX leads to an integer overflow and is interpreted as a negative value. This leads to decrementing the pointer address by this value and subsequently accessing it because ceph_decode_need() only checks that the memory access does not exceed the end address of the allocation. This patch fixes the issue by changing the data type of payload_len to u32. Additionally, the data type of result_msg_len is changed to u32, as it is also a variable holding a non-negative length. Also, an additional layer of sanity checks is introduced, ensuring that directly after reading it from the message, payload_len and result_msg_len are not greater than the overall segment length. CVE-2024-35960 9.1 critical 1.0% linux, debian, linux_kernel, debian_linux In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: Properly link new fs rules into the tree Previously, add_rule_fg would only add newly created rules from the handle into the tree when they had a refcount of 1. On the other hand, create_flow_handle tries hard to find and reference already existing identical rules instead of creating new ones. These two behaviors can result in a situation where create_flow_handle 1) creates a new rule and references it, then 2) in a subsequent step during the same handle creation references it again, resulting in a rule with a refcount of 2 that is not linked into the tree, will have a NULL parent and root and will result in a crash when the flow group is deleted because del_sw_hw_rule, invoked on rule deletion, assumes node->parent is != NULL. This happened in the wild, due to another bug related to incorrect handling of duplicate pkt_reformat ids, which lead to the code in create_flow_handle incorrectly referencing a just-added rule in the same flow handle, resulting in the problem described above. Full details are at [1]. This patch changes add_rule_fg to add new rules without parents into the tree, properly initializing them and avoiding the crash. This makes it more consistent with how rules are added to an FTE in create_flow_handle. 15 Oct
CVE-2024-35845 9.1 critical 1.0% linux, debian, linux_kernel, debian_linux In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: dbg-tlv: ensure NUL termination The iwl_fw_ini_debug_info_tlv is used as a string, so we must ensure the string is terminated correctly before using it. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-47846 9.8 critical 0.00% no CPE yet Bitnami Cassandra container images are affected by a retained default superuser vulnerability. When a custom administrator account is configured via the CASSANDRA_USER environment variable, the container initialization script creates the new superuser account but fails to drop the built-in cassandra account in certain scenarios. This leaves the default cassandra:cassandra superuser active as an unintended access path. Affected versions — Container image: 4.0.x prior to 4.0.20-photon-5-r7; 4.1.x prior to 4.1.11-photon-5-r7; 5.0.x prior to 5.0.8-photon-5-r4 / 5.0.8-debian-12-r3. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-77055 9.3 critical 0.00% no CPE yet boneIO black_debian_images gives the boneio service account excessive privileges, including full passwordless sudo access and membership in the docker group. A local attacker who compromises the boneio user can use these privileges to escalate to root. This issue was fixed in version 1.6.0: the image removes the sudoers rule and the docker group membership when it is sealed, and devices already in the field have both removed by migrations shipped with boneio 1.6.0 and applied on first start after the upgrade. Privileged operations now go through helpers that accept only a fixed set of commands, with migrations verified against Ed25519 signatures. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-74517 9.3 critical 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Cancel delayed I/O APIC EOI handling before destroying vCPUs Cancel (and flush) the I/O APIC's delayed EOI handling work during the "pre VM destroy" phase, before vCPUs are destroyed, as processing the EOI broadcast will inject another IRQ if the line is asserted, i.e. will try to deliver an IRQ to the target vCPU(s). Canceling the work after vCPUs are destroyed leads to UAF if the delayed work is processed after vCPUs are destroyed. Alternatively, KVM could simply destroy the I/O APIC during the "pre" phase of VM destruction, but that gets more than a bit sketchy as KVM expects the I/O APIC to exist if ioapic_in_kernel() is true, and nested virtualization in particular has a bad habit of touching VM-scope state during vCPU destruction. E.g. attempting to free the PIC during the pre phase would lead to a NULL pointer dereference in kvm_cpu_has_extint(), and it's not hard to imagine the I/O APIC having a similar flaw. 16 Oct
