CVE-2026-48779 7.5 high 1.0% ws_project, ws ws is an open source WebSocket client and server for Node.js. All versions from 1.1.0 up to (but not including) 5.2.5, from 6.0.0 up to 6.2.4, from 7.0.0 up to 7.5.11, and from 8.0.0 up to 8.21.0 are affected by a memory exhaustion DoS vulnerability. A peer can send a high volume of exceptionally small fragments and data chunks, with modest network traffic, to force the remote peer into allocating and holding structural wrappers that consume far more memory than the default documented message-size limit, leading to process termination due to OOM. This issue has been fixed in versions 5.2.5, 6.2.4, 7.5.11, and 8.21.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-48937 7.5 high 1.0% nodejs, node.js A flaw in Node.js HTTP/2 server API can cause servers to keep accepting data even after sending a `GOAWAY` frame. This vulnerability affects two supported release lines: **Node.js 22** and **Node.js 24**. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-48619 7.5 high 1.0% nodejs, node.js A flaw in Node.js HTTP/2 client allows a server to send an unlimited number of ORIGIN frames, which could lead to an Out of Memory error on the client. This vulnerability affects all supported release lines: **Node.js 22**, **Node.js 24**, and **Node.js 26**. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-59871 7.5 high 1.0% isaacs, tar node-tar is a tar archive manipulation library for Node.js. Prior to 7.5.18, node-tar coerces all-digit PAX path and linkpath values in src/pax.ts to JavaScript numbers, causing downstream path handling such as normalizeWindowsPath(entry.path).split('/') to throw an uncaught TypeError. This issue is fixed in version 7.5.18. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-59892 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet OpenTelemetry JavaScript is the OpenTelemetry JavaScript client. Prior to 2.9.0, @opentelemetry/propagator-jaeger decodes incoming uber-trace-id and uberctx-* HTTP header values with decodeURIComponent() without handling decode errors, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to send a malformed percent-encoded value that throws an uncaught URIError and terminates a Node.js process using JaegerPropagator as the active propagator. This issue is fixed in version 2.9.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-49866 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet libp2p is a JavaScript Implementation of libp2p networking stack. Prior to 16.0.0, @libp2p/gossipsub defaultDecodeRpcLimits set maxIhaveMessageIDs and maxIwantMessageIDs to Infinity, allowing oversized IHAVE and IWANT control message arrays in message/decodeRpc.ts and gossipsub.ts to synchronously iterate roughly 180,000 message IDs per 4 MB frame and block the Node.js event loop. This issue is fixed in version 16.0.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-50272 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet dd-trace is the Datadog APM client for Node.js. Prior to 5.100.0, W3C baggage propagation in packages/dd-trace/src/baggage.js and packages/dd-trace/src/opentracing/propagation/text_map.js parsed incoming baggage HTTP headers without enforcing DD_TRACE_BAGGAGE_MAX_ITEMS or DD_TRACE_BAGGAGE_MAX_BYTES on extraction. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can send a request whose baggage header contains an arbitrarily large number of comma-separated key-value pairs, or a single very large value, causing unbounded CPU and memory consumption and enabling a remote denial of service against any HTTP service with baggage propagation enabled. This issue is fixed in version 5.100.0. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-73561 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet Hub is a Node.js WebSocket server and client with added features. Prior to 0.2.16, every incoming unauthenticated WebSocket connection triggers loadDefaultConnectionEventListeners to call requestClientId, which calls rpc.send for the get-client-id action and pushes a request into RPC.requests. The RPC.waitForReply function starts a setInterval polling loop every 10 milliseconds that is cleared only after a matching reply; if the client remains silent and closes, the timer and pending request stay allocated because the socket close path does not cancel them. Repeated connections therefore cause unbounded timers and heap entries, exhausting CPU and memory and making the server unavailable. This issue is fixed in version 0.2.16. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-73566 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet node-tar is a tar archive manipulation library for Node.js. Prior to 7.5.21, node-tar's filesFilter in src/list.ts uses the recursive mapHas helper to walk an archive entry path upward with path.dirname() and no segment cap when tar.t(...) or tar.x(...) receives a non-empty member-selection list. A crafted GNU L or PAX x long-path header with thousands of slash-separated segments reaches this.filter(entry.path, entry) in Parser[CONSUMEHEADER] in src/parse.ts before Unpack[CHECKPATH] applies maxDepth, causing an uncatchable RangeError stack overflow that terminates asynchronous and streaming Node.js consumers. This issue is fixed in version 7.5.21. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-14257 7.5 high 1.0% juliangruber, brace-expansion brace-expansion through 5.0.7 is vulnerable to denial of service via memory exhaustion. The expand() function limits the number of results with a max option (default 100,000) but does not bound the length of each result string. By chaining multiple brace groups, an attacker keeps the result count under the limit while making each result progressively longer, so total memory scales with both count and string length until the process hits a fatal, uncatchable out-of-memory error. About 7.5 KB of input ('{a,b}'.repeat(1500)) crashes a default Node.js process. Any application that passes attacker-influenced strings to brace-expansion.expand() - directly or transitively via minimatch / glob brace patterns - can be crashed by a small request. Fixed in 5.0.8 by adding a maxLength option (default 4,000,000) that bounds accumulated output and intermediate arrays. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-113658 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0, the unauthenticated Rich Text CSV conversion route writes a multipart upload to the system temporary directory before checking its extension and does not remove the staged file when that validation rejects it. Repeated large rejected uploads, using the normal public CSRF cookie, can persistently consume temporary-disk capacity and may disrupt ApostropheCMS and other services that depend on the same partition. This issue is fixed in version 4.33.0. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-112942 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet launch-editor allows users to open files with line numbers in editor from Node.js. Prior to 2.14.2, launch-editor-middleware processes an attacker-controlled Windows file argument where the file argument ends in a parent-directory component plus a line-and-column suffix: the path is resolved while the suffix is still present, and launch-editor removes the suffix before its existsSync check, leaving the existing parent directory for existsSync and allowing the attacker-controlled file argument to pass filename existence validation without requiring the malicious filename to exist. The bypass can lead to OS command injection when combined with the separately described Windows percent-expansion flaw. This issue is fixed in version 2.14.2. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-113711 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0 of ApostropheCMS and 3.7.0 of the import-export module, import routes invoke bigUploadMiddleware without an early authorize callback, allowing unauthenticated requests to perform upload initialization, chunk storage, temporary processing, and attacker-declared cleanup work before the later user check rejects the import. This issue is fixed in ApostropheCMS 4.33.0 and import-export 3.7.0. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-107302 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet msgpack5 is a msgpack v5 implementation for node.js and the browser. Prior to 6.1.0, the decoder reads the four-byte length of a map32 value before validating that the complete five-byte header is available. A truncated map32 header therefore causes a checked out-of-bounds buffer read and throws RangeError instead of IncompleteBufferError, which can unexpectedly terminate a request, stream, or worker in applications that wait for additional bytes after IncompleteBufferError. There is no adjacent-memory disclosure because the buffer implementation checks bounds. This issue is fixed in version 6.1.0. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-58754 7.5 high 1.0% axios Axios is a promise based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. When Axios starting in version 0.28.0 and prior to versions 0.30.2 and 1.12.0 runs on Node.js and is given a URL with the `data:` scheme, it does not perform HTTP. Instead, its Node http adapter decodes the entire payload into memory (`Buffer`/`Blob`) and returns a synthetic 200 response. This path ignores `maxContentLength` / `maxBodyLength` (which only protect HTTP responses), so an attacker can supply a very large `data:` URI and cause the process to allocate unbounded memory and crash (DoS), even if the caller requested `responseType: 'stream'`. Versions 0.30.2 and 1.12.0 contain a patch for the issue. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-102599 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet Socket.IO enables bidirectional and low-latency communication for every platform. From Engine.IO 6.6.0 until 6.6.10, a transport upgrade can independently derive an Engine.IO protocol revision from the upgrade request instead of enforcing the revision stored on the existing session. A malicious client can establish a valid session and send an upgrade request with a different or omitted EIO query parameter, attaching a transport with incompatible parser and heartbeat behavior. A crafted heartbeat packet can then trigger an uncaught exception and terminate the Node.js process, including when Engine.IO v3 compatibility is disabled because an omitted EIO value is interpreted as revision 3 on the affected path. This issue is fixed in Engine.IO 6.6.10. 17 Oct
CVE-2026-103936 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack. Prior to 6.0.28, the @libp2p/webrtc webRTCDirect() Node.js listener processes unauthenticated STUN Binding Requests before PeerId authentication, Noise, muxing, protocol negotiation, connection creation, or connection-manager admission. The listener in packages/transport-webrtc/src/private-to-public/utils/stun-listener.ts forwards the packet-controlled request.ufrag into DirectRTCPeerConnection.setLocalDescription, where the value is reused as an ICE password without validating its required length and character set. A short credential causes node-datachannel or libdatachannel to raise an uncaught native invalid_argument and abort the process with SIGABRT, allowing a single remote UDP packet to deny service. The confirmed impact is process termination only, with no demonstrated memory corruption, code execution, browser impact, confidentiality impact, integrity impact, or connection-limit bypass. This issue is fixed in version 6.0.28. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-42270 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet countly-server is the server-side part of Countly, a product analytics solution. Prior to 24.05.50 and 25.03.44, star-rating/images/ and dashboards/images/screenshots/ are among public image and screenshot routes using the local fs storage backend that call getStream and pipe filesystem streams to HTTP responses without an error listener. An unauthenticated request containing a URL-encoded dot can make createReadStream open a directory, emit an asynchronous EISDIR error, and terminate the Node.js process as an unhandled exception, allowing repeated requests to keep the analytics API unavailable. The affected routes also include /appimages/*, /memberimages/*, and */screenshots/*. This issue is fixed in versions 24.05.50 and 25.03.44. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-63421 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet Keystone is a content management system for Node.js. Prior to 6.5.3, the findMany resolver in packages/core/src/lib/core/queries/resolvers.ts compares the signed take argument directly with graphql.maxTake, allowing a remote unauthenticated GraphQL client to provide a negative take value whose magnitude exceeds the configured bound. The bypass also applies to relationship queries and can return more records than the developer intended, potentially exhausting service resources. This issue is fixed in version 6.5.3. 12 Oct
CVE-2023-30590 7.5 high 1.0% nodejs, node.js The generateKeys() API function returned from crypto.createDiffieHellman() only generates missing (or outdated) keys, that is, it only generates a private key if none has been set yet, but the function is also needed to compute the corresponding public key after calling setPrivateKey(). However, the documentation says this API call: "Generates private and public Diffie-Hellman key values". The documented behavior is very different from the actual behavior, and this difference could easily lead to security issues in applications that use these APIs as the DiffieHellman may be used as the basis for application-level security, implications are consequently broad. 8 Oct
CVE-2023-30585 7.5 high 1.0% nodejs, node.js A vulnerability has been identified in the Node.js (.msi version) installation process, specifically affecting Windows users who install Node.js using the .msi installer. This vulnerability emerges during the repair operation, where the "msiexec.exe" process, running under the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM context, attempts to read the %USERPROFILE% environment variable from the current user's registry. The issue arises when the path referenced by the %USERPROFILE% environment variable does not exist. In such cases, the "msiexec.exe" process attempts to create the specified path in an unsafe manner, potentially leading to the creation of arbitrary folders in arbitrary locations. The severity of this vulnerability is heightened by the fact that the %USERPROFILE% environment variable in the Windows registry can be modified by standard (or "non-privileged") users. Consequently, unprivileged actors, including malicious entities or trojans, can manipulate the environment variable key to deceive the privileged "msiexec.exe" process. This manipulation can result in the creation of folders in unintended and potentially malicious locations. It is important to note that this vulnerability is specific to Windows users who install Node.js using the .msi installer. Users who opt for other installation methods are not affected by this particular issue. 8 Oct
CVE-2025-62713 7.2 high 1.0% no CPE yet Kottster is a self hosted Node.js admin panel. From versions 3.2.0 to before 3.3.2, Kottster contains a pre-authentication remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability when running in development mode. This affects development mode only, production deployments were never affected. This issue has been fixed in version 3.3.2. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-61927 7.2 high 1.0% no CPE yet Happy DOM is a JavaScript implementation of a web browser without its graphical user interface. Happy DOM v19 and lower contains a security vulnerability that puts the owner system at the risk of RCE (Remote Code Execution) attacks. A Node.js VM Context is not an isolated environment, and if the user runs untrusted JavaScript code within the Happy DOM VM Context, it may escape the VM and get access to process level functionality. It seems like what the attacker can get control over depends on if the process is using ESM or CommonJS. With CommonJS the attacker can get hold of the `require()` function to import modules. Happy DOM has JavaScript evaluation enabled by default. This may not be obvious to the consumer of Happy DOM and can potentially put the user at risk if untrusted code is executed within the environment. Version 20.0.0 patches the issue by changing JavaScript evaluation to be disabled by default. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-72749 7.1 high 1.0% n8n n8n before 1.123.67, 2.31.5, and 2.32.1 contains a prototype pollution vulnerability in the Edit Fields (Set) node. The node assigns output fields via a dot-notation path setter without restricting the field name, allowing an authenticated user to name a field after an inherited built-in method path and corrupt a shared global in the main Node.js process. Because that global is used on the request-authentication path, the instance then fails every authenticated request, causing an instance-wide denial of service for all users until the process is restarted. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-101899 6.9 medium 1.0% no CPE yet Axios is a promise-based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. From 1.15.0 until 1.20.0, Axios shouldBypassProxy treats the NO_PROXY CIDR form as a textual hostname suffix instead of evaluating the network range. A request targets an address covered by a CIDR entry in NO_PROXY while a proxy is configured. The CIDR bypass rule is not matched, so the request is sent through the configured proxy. For plaintext HTTP, the proxy can observe and modify URLs, headers, and bodies; for HTTPS, it can observe connection metadata and CONNECT requests. This issue is fixed in version 1.20.0. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-112955 6.5 medium 1.0% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 3.7.1 of the import-export module, an authenticated importer can submit archives whose decompressed bytes, entry count, and entry sizes are not bounded before document-type authorization, and extraction or parsing failures can leave staging and extracted artifacts without unconditional cleanup. The already-hardened pre-authentication and write-error paths are separate, and current end-to-end denial-of-service impact from this residual path remains subject to maintainer validation. This issue is fixed in version 3.7.1. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-42853 6.5 medium 1.0% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Versions of the @apostrophecms/cli package up to and including 3.6.0 contain a command injection vulnerability in the apos create command. User-supplied input from the password prompt is embedded directly into a shell command without proper sanitization or escaping. This allows execution of arbitrary commands on the host system. As of time of publication, no known patched versions are available. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-112944 6.3 medium 1.0% no CPE yet launch-editor allows users to open files with line numbers in editor from Node.js. Prior to 2.14.2, when an attacker can create a filesystem entry beginning with plus or minus in the working directory, an affected editor is selected, and the path can remain relative or is converted to a relative WSL path, launchEditor forwards the path without forcing it to be interpreted as a positional filename. Editor option parsing then treats the attacker-controlled filename as a command-line flag, which can cause unintended file overwrite or arbitrary command execution by the selected editor. The affected editors are Vim and gVim, MacVim, Emacs and Emacsclient, and Notepad++ when a plugin exposes dangerous operations; WSL path conversion keeps Vite and newer middleware callers exposed. This issue is fixed in version 2.14.2. 20 Oct
CVE-2025-62718 6.3 medium 1.0% axios Axios is a promise based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. Prior to 1.15.0 and 0.31.0, Axios does not correctly handle hostname normalization when checking NO_PROXY rules. Requests to loopback addresses like localhost. (with a trailing dot) or [::1] (IPv6 literal) skip NO_PROXY matching and go through the configured proxy. This goes against what developers expect and lets attackers force requests through a proxy, even if NO_PROXY is set up to protect loopback or internal services. This issue leads to the possibility of proxy bypass and SSRF vulnerabilities allowing attackers to reach sensitive loopback or internal services despite the configured protections. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.15.0 and 0.31.0. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-112953 6.0 medium 1.0% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 3.7.1 of the import-export module, predictable export archive filenames allow an unauthenticated requester to download another user's export from publicly readable export storage before the archive expires or is removed. A user with export permission must first create the archive, and sites with exports disabled, private upload storage, or authenticated upload delivery are not exposed through this network-download path. This issue is fixed in version 3.7.1. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-70609 5.7 medium 1.0% electronjs, electron Electron is a framework for writing cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Prior to 39.8.7, 40.9.0, 41.2.0, and 42.0.0-beta.1, the mode option of webContents.openDevTools() was not sanitized before use by the DevTools frontend. If an attacker can influence this value, script under their control may run in the DevTools context, which in unsandboxed configurations has access to Node.js, including when untrusted input reaches the mode argument of openDevTools() or untrusted content calls openDevTools() on a webview it embeds. This issue is fixed in 39.8.7, 40.9.0, 41.2.0, and 42.0.0-beta.1. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-33888 5.3 medium 1.0% apostrophecms ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Versions 4.28.0 and prior contain an authorization bypass vulnerability in the getRestQuery method of the @apostrophecms/piece-type module, where the method checks whether a MongoDB projection has already been set before applying the admin-configured publicApiProjection. An unauthenticated attacker can supply a project query parameter in the REST API request, which is processed by applyBuildersSafely before the permission check, pre-populating the projection state and causing the publicApiProjection to be skipped entirely. This allows disclosure of any field on publicly queryable documents that the administrator explicitly restricted from the public API, such as internal notes, draft content, or metadata. Exploitation is trivial, requiring only appending query parameters to a public URL with no authentication. This issue has been fixed in version 4.29.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-73565 5.3 medium 1.0% no CPE yet @hono/node-server allows running the Hono application on Node.js. From 2.0.0 until 2.0.10, a WebSocket upgrade request to an upgradeWebSocket route with a missing or malformed Sec-WebSocket-Key header causes src/websocket.ts to retain the request's IncomingMessage in waiterMap and leave waitForWebSocket pending because ws.handleUpgrade emits no connection event. The aborted handshake therefore has no cleanup path, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to flood a public route, cause unbounded memory growth, and eventually make the service unavailable. This issue is fixed in version 2.0.10. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-70656 4.9 medium 1.0% no CPE yet Checkmate is an open-source, self-hosted tool designed to track and monitor server hardware, uptime, response times, and incidents in real-time with beautiful visualizations. From 3.5.1 until 3.9.2, an authenticated admin or superadmin can set matchMethod to regex and place a malicious expression in the expectedValue field for advanced HTTP monitor matching. server/src/api/validation/monitorValidation.ts accepts the expression, and server/src/service/network/AdvancedMatcher.ts synchronously evaluates it against an attacker-controlled HTTP response body on the Node.js main event loop without a timeout or worker isolation, allowing catastrophic backtracking to freeze API endpoints, monitor checks, and WebSocket connections for all users. This issue is fixed in version 3.9.2. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-57481 2.3 low 1.0% no CPE yet Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to 9.9.1-alpha.13 and 8.6.83, a LiveQuery subscriber could receive object field values they were not authorized to read when a single save changed both an object field and the subscriber's ACL read access, because leave and enter events included the wrong object state. This issue is fixed in versions 9.9.1-alpha.13 and 8.6.83. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-55778 2.1 low 1.0% no CPE yet Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to 9.9.1-alpha.11 and 8.6.81, the default fileUpload.fileExtensions blocklist could be bypassed by uploading a file with a non-standard or compound extension and dangerous content type, allowing storage adapters such as S3 and GCS to serve attacker-supplied active content and enable stored cross-site scripting. This issue is fixed in versions 9.9.1-alpha.11 and 8.6.81. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-47137 10.0 critical 0.00% no CPE yet vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.4, the fix for GHSA-8hg8-63c5-gwmx (CVE-2023-37903) introduced a check in nodevm.js line 263 that blocks the combination nesting: true + require: false. However, the check uses strict equality (options.require === false), which is trivially bypassed by omitting the require option entirely. When require is not specified, options.require is undefined, not false. The strict equality check fails, so the security guard is skipped. Immediately after (line 280), the destructuring default require: requireOpts = false assigns requireOpts = false, producing the exact configuration the patch was designed to prevent. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.4. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-54051 9.9 critical 0.00% no CPE yet Network-AI is a TypeScript/Node.js multi-agent orchestrator. Prior to version 5.9.1, the agent sandbox gates shell commands behind an allowlist (`SandboxPolicy.isCommandAllowed`), which THREAT_MODEL.md calls the main control against a compromised agent (Adversary 3.2). The allowlist glob-matches the whole command string, but `ShellExecutor` runs that string through `/bin/sh -c`. So any wildcard allow such as `git *`, `npm *` or `node *` also matches `git status; <anything>`, and a scoped command becomes arbitrary execution. The issue is fixed in v5.9.1. `ShellExecutor` now executes via `spawn(file, args, { shell: false })` using a quote-aware parsed argv, so no shell is invoked. `SandboxPolicy.isCommandAllowed` and the new `SandboxPolicy.tokenizeCommand` reject any unquoted shell metacharacter (`; & | $ ` ` ` ( ) < > { }` newline) or unterminated quote before the allowlist glob match; quoted metacharacters are preserved as literal argument data. Users should upgrade to `[email protected]` or later. As defense in depth, avoid broad wildcard allowlist entries such as `node *` / `npm *` which are direct code execution by design. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-40190 9.8 critical 0.00% langchain, langsmith LangSmith Client SDKs provide SDK's for interacting with the LangSmith platform. Prior to 0.5.18, the LangSmith JavaScript/TypeScript SDK (langsmith) contains an incomplete prototype pollution fix in its internally vendored lodash set() utility. The baseAssignValue() function only guards against the __proto__ key, but fails to prevent traversal via constructor.prototype. This allows an attacker who controls keys in data processed by the createAnonymizer() API to pollute Object.prototype, affecting all objects in the Node.js process. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.5.18. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-48930 9.8 critical 0.00% nodejs, node.js A flaw in Node.js TLS hostname handling can cause Embedded-nul hostnames can lead to silent authority rebinding due to c-string truncation in resolver bindings. This vulnerability affects all supported release lines: **Node.js 22**, **Node.js 24**, and **Node.js 26**. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-102676 9.8 critical 0.00% electronjs, electron Electron is a framework for writing cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Prior to 41.10.6, 42.9.2, 43.4.1, and 44.0.0-beta.5, an Electron <webview> guest could enable nodeIntegrationInWorker for its Web Workers even when the unsandboxed embedder had Node.js integration disabled, allowing untrusted guest content to create a Node-enabled worker with more privilege than the embedder granted. Applications that do not enable the <webview> tag or that keep the embedder sandboxed are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 41.10.6, 42.9.2, 43.4.1, and 44.0.0-beta.5. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-44482 9.6 critical 0.00% no CPE yet soundcloud-rpc is a SoundCloud Client with Discord Rich Presence, Dark Mode, Last.fm and AdBlock support. Prior to 0.1.8, a track title containing an HTML payload executed locally in the Electron app. This means attacker-controlled SoundCloud track metadata can lead to local command execution on the user's machine. The application exposes a preload API (window.soundcloudAPI.sendTrackUpdate) to the remote SoundCloud page. Track metadata from SoundCloud is trusted and forwarded through IPC into the Electron main process. The app later renders that metadata as raw HTML inside privileged Electron views that have Node.js integration enabled. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.1.8. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-53943 9.6 critical 0.00% no CPE yet Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From until 6.37.0, when Ghost is behind a shared caching layer that results in cached content being shared between different visitors, an unauthenticated user could send an x-ghost-preview header that altered the rendered frontend response. In affected cache configurations, that response could be stored and served to subsequent visitors requesting the same page, allowing cache poisoning of request-specific preview output. When running Ghost's frontend and admin panel on the same domain this could be used to take over staff user accounts. When running these on different domains staff accounts have no exposure. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.37.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-55413 9.4 critical 0.00% no CPE yet ToolJet is the open-source foundation am AI-native platform for building and deploying internal tools, workflows and AI agents. Prior to 3.20.178-lts, any authenticated user with builder role (free tier) can overwrite a globally-shared marketplace plugin with arbitrary JavaScript that executes server-side with full Node.js access (require, process). The malicious code runs whenever any user on the instance triggers a query using that plugin — achieving both RCE and supply-chain compromise of the entire ToolJet deployment. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.20.178-lts. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-75926 9.3 critical 0.00% gohugo, hugo Hugo 0.161.0 placed the Node asset pipelines behind the Node.js permission model so that code running through PostCSS, Babel, or TailwindCSS could not reach the file system outside the project directory. Hugo 0.162.0 added tailwindcss to the AllowChildProcess default in config/security/securityConfig.go, which makes nodePermissionArgs in common/hexec/exec.go append --allow-child-process whenever the tool being launched is named tailwindcss. TailwindCSS loads the site's tailwind.config.js through require at startup, so top-level code in that file executes inside the permitted Node process and can call child_process to spawn a shell. The spawned process is not a Node process and inherits none of the permission flags, so it runs with the full privileges of the account performing the build. Building a site whose theme, module, or starter template supplies the Tailwind configuration therefore yields arbitrary command execution rather than the confined file access the permission model was introduced to enforce. Hugo 0.165.0 removes tailwindcss from the default security.exec.allow list, so the tool is no longer launched under the default configuration. 22 Oct
CVE-2026-102828 9.2 critical 0.00% simple-git_project, simple-git simple-git, an interface for running git commands in any node.js application, enables applications to execute Git operations from JavaScript. From 3.15.0 until 4.0.1, the default blockUnsafeOperationsPlugin does not classify trailer.<token>.cmd as unsafe configuration. An application that passes attacker-controlled values through SimpleGitOptions.config or inline -c arguments can therefore allow Git to invoke an attacker-selected shell command when git interpret-trailers processes the configured trailer. The command executes with the operating-system identity and permissions of the Node.js process. This issue is fixed in 4.0.1. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-53609 9.1 critical 0.00% no CPE yet ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. In versions up to and including 4.30.0, `apos.util.set()` traverses dot-notation paths without sanitizing `__proto__`, allowing an authenticated editor to write arbitrary values to `Object.prototype` via the `$pullAll` patch operator. A confirmed gadget in `publicApiCheck()` causes this to bypass authorization on all piece-type REST API endpoints for every subsequent unauthenticated request, for the lifetime of the Node.js process. As of time of publication, no known patched versions are available. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-48814 9.1 critical 0.00% no CPE yet Network-AI is a TypeScript/Node.js multi-agent orchestrator. In versions 5.7.1 and earlier, the MCP SSE server allows unauthenticated cross-origin MCP tool invocation due to an empty default secret. This issue was partially addressed by CVE-2026-46701 in version 5.4.5 by closing the CORS flaw (with Access-Control-Allow-Origin now set only for localhost origins), but the empty-default-secret flaw described in the title remained: the SSE MCP server still defaulted to an empty secret, _isAuthorized() still returned true when the secret was empty, and a non-loopback bind only produced a warning. As a result, the server still ran fully unauthenticated by default. Any non-browser caller (for example, curl, SSRF, or a 0.0.0.0 bind) could invoke all 22 MCP tools (config_set, agent_spawn, blackboard_write, token_*) with no credentials. This issue was fixed in version 5.7.2. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-44726 9.1 critical 0.00% deno Deno is a JavaScript, TypeScript, and WebAssembly runtime. From 2.0.0 until 2.7.8, a flaw in Deno's Node.js tls compatibility layer could cause a TLS client to transmit application data in plaintext after a connection retry. When `autoSelectFamily was enabled and the first address-family attempt failed, the socket reinitialization path reused a stale TLS upgrade hook that was bound to the original, failed handle. As a result, the replacement TCP connection was never upgraded to TLS, and any data the application wrote before the secureConnect event travelled over the network unencrypted. A network attacker positioned to cause the initial connection attempt to fail (for example, by dropping IPv6 traffic on a dual-stack host) could deterministically trigger the fallback path and observe or tamper with traffic that the application believed was TLS-protected. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.7.8. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-73567 9.1 critical 0.00% no CPE yet sm-crypto provides JavaScript implementations of the Chinese cryptographic algorithms SM2, SM3, and SM4. Prior to 0.5.0, the default no-argument sm2.generateKeyPairHex() path in Node.js uses the module-wide SecureRandom instance in src/sm2/utils.js, supplied by [email protected], which seeds an ARC4 stream from Math.random() and new Date().getTime() because window.crypto.getRandomValues is unavailable even though globalThis.crypto exists. An attacker who can observe the process's Math.random() outputs and estimate the key-generation time can reconstruct the seed, recover generated SM2 private keys, and predict signing ephemeral scalars used to forge signatures. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.0. Sat 24 Oct
