CVE-2026-48990 5.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet joserfc is a Python library that provides an implementation of several JSON Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE) standards. In versions 1.3.4 through 1.6.5, joserfc accepts oversized RFC7797 b64=false JWS payloads without applying JWSRegistry.max_payload_length, which can lead to resource exhaustion. The normal JWS compact and flattened JSON paths reject payloads above the configured payload-size limit with ExceededSizeError. The RFC7797 unencoded payload paths do not make the same check. A valid b64=false compact or flattened JSON JWS can therefore deserialize successfully with a payload larger than JWSRegistry.max_payload_length. Applications that accept lower-trust JWS values and rely on joserfc to reject oversized token content during verification have a moderate availability risk. This issue has been fixed in version 1.6.7. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-50221 5.3 medium 0.00% openstack, swift In OpenStack Swift before 2.37.2, proxy-server does not strip internal update headers (X-Container-Host, X-Container-Device, X-Delete-At-Host, X-Delete-At-Device) from client requests before forwarding them to object-servers. An authenticated user with write access can inject these headers to redirect container update requests to an attacker-controlled server, enabling server-side request forgery. The SSRF requests expose internal cluster metadata including storage policy indexes, partition mappings, device names, and when at rest encryption is enabled, cipher text and initialization vectors for the container-level encryption key. The attacker can also cause "ghost listings" in arbitrary containers via the shard-range redirect mechanism. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-101762 5.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Vulnerability in the MySQL Server, MySQL Cluster product of Oracle MySQL (component: Server: Security: Encryption). Supported versions that are affected are MySQL Server: 8.4.0-8.4.12, 9.7.0-9.7.3, 26.7.0-26.7.1; MySQL Cluster: 8.0.0-8.0.49, 8.4.0-8.4.12, 9.7.0-9.7.3 and 26.7.0-26.7.1. CVE-2026-15890 5.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet The default AEAD nonce provider for the PSA Internal Trusted Storage transform module, secure_storage_its_transform_aead_get_nonce() in subsys/secure_storage/src/its/transform/aead_get.c, stores its nonce counter in unsynchronized function-local static variables (s_nonce and s_nonce_initialized). Every ITS write obtains its AES-GCM or ChaCha20-Poly1305 nonce here via secure_storage_its_transform_to_store(). Because the function held no lock, two threads calling it concurrently race on the shared statics: the initialization path (psa_generate_random() followed by memcpy()) and the non-atomic increment-then-copy path can each hand the same nonce value to two distinct encryption operations, and can lose increments so the counter repeats values it was designed never to repeat. The ITS layer (secure_storage_its_set() in subsys/secure_storage/src/its/implementation.c) performs no serialization of its own, so concurrent same-UID writes reach the racy provider directly. Reusing a nonce with the same key under AES-GCM or ChaCha20-Poly1305 is a catastrophic AEAD failure: it leaks the XOR of the two plaintexts (ITS routinely stores secrets, including PSA persistent keys) and, for GCM, exposes the authentication key, enabling forgery of stored entries. Because the AEAD key is derived per entry UID, the security-relevant collision is two concurrent writes to the same UID both receiving the same nonce; an adversary able to read the raw backing storage can then exploit the reuse. Both ITS store back-ends shipped with Zephyr, zms.c and the settings/NVS back-end in settings.c, are log-structured flash stores with deferred garbage collection, so an entry superseded by a rewrite remains physically present in the partition until its sector is reclaimed. Two same-UID writes that race therefore leave both ciphertexts readable in the raw image at once, which is the condition the nonce reuse needs to be exploitable. The trigger remains narrow: both built-in key providers (DEVICE_ID_HASH and ENTRY_UID_HASH) salt the derived key with the entry UID, so reuse across different UIDs is harmless, and the exposure requires an application that writes the same UID concurrently from two threads. The fix serializes the provider with a K_MUTEX_DEFINE(s_nonce_mutex) held for the duration of nonce generation. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-78632 5.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet The Okta RADIUS Agent Windows installer assigns write permissions to the NT SERVICE\ALL SERVICES and CREATOR OWNER security principals on the directories containing the agent configuration, AES encryption key, and logs. These permissions allow any local service account on the host to read the AES encryption key and the encrypted Okta API token. 15 Oct
CVE-2025-67168 5.3 medium 0.00% ritecms RiteCMS v3.1.0 was discovered to use insecure encryption to store passwords. 13 Oct
CVE-2026-107315 5.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.4 through 42.7.13 pads a value that is shorter than its declared length with bytes left in its send buffer instead of zeros, and the server stores those bytes as part of the value. The bytes are messages the driver sent earlier on the same connection: SQL text and parameter values of recent statements, which on a pooled connection can come from other requests. Each padded value can carry up to 8192 bytes of this traffic, or 16320 bytes on a connection with GSS encryption. The padding happens when an application declares a length larger than the data it supplies, through PreparedStatement.setObject with a ByteStreamWriter, CopyIn.writeToCopy, PGCopyOutputStream.write, LargeObject.write, or Blob.setBytes. The driver accepts these calls without an error. An attacker who can make the application store such a value and read it back can collect earlier traffic. Applications whose declared lengths always match their data are not affected. Versions 42.7.3 and earlier pad with zeros. 8 Oct
CVE-2022-51016 5.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet PocketMine-MP 3.x (before 3.27.0) does not implement Minecraft Bedrock protocol encryption, so the server cannot verify that a connecting client possesses the private key corresponding to its login token. An attacker who captures a valid login from another player's session (for example by tricking the player into connecting to an attacker-controlled server) can replay that login to impersonate the victim and pass XBOX Live authentication until the JWT token expires (typically 2-3 days). This affects servers directly reachable over the internet that are not behind a proxy with encryption enabled. Fixed in 4.0.0 and backported to 3.27.0. 8 Oct
CVE-2025-9612 5.1 medium 0.00% pcisig, pci_express_integrity_and_data_encryption An issue was discovered in the PCI Express (PCIe) Integrity and Data Encryption (IDE) specification, where insufficient guidance on Transaction Layer Packet (TLP) ordering and tag uniqueness may allow encrypted packets to be replayed or reordered without detection. This can enable local or physical attackers on the PCIe bus to violate data integrity protections. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-57439 5.0 medium 0.00% no CPE yet CyberChef is a web app for encryption, encoding, compression, and data analysis. Prior to 11.2.0, the Series Chart operation accepts __proto__ as a key while parsing user-supplied CSV, allowing prototype pollution that can be chained with operations such as Parse UDP to inject malicious JavaScript into HTML output. This issue is fixed in version 11.2.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-101749 4.9 medium 0.00% oracle, mysql_cluster, mysql_server Vulnerability in the MySQL Server, MySQL Cluster product of Oracle MySQL (component: Server: Security: Encryption). Supported versions that are affected are MySQL Server: 26.7.0-26.7.1; MySQL Cluster: 26.7.0-26.7.1. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows high privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Server, MySQL Cluster. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server, MySQL Cluster. CVE-2025-35054 4.8 medium 0.00% newforma, project_center Newforma Info Exchange (NIX) stores credentials used to configure NPCS in 'HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\Newforma\<version>\Credentials'. The credentials are encrypted but the encryption key is stored in the same registry location. Authenticated users can access both the credentials and the encryption key. If these are Active Directory credentials, an attacker may be able to gain access to additional systems and resources. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-4932 4.6 medium 0.00% ibm, power_system_s1122_\(9824-22a\)_firmware, power_system_s1124_\(9824-42a\)_firmware, power_system_s1122s_\(9824-22b\)_firmware IBM PowerVM Hypervisor FW1110.00 through FW1110.20, and FW1060.00 through FW1060.71 could allow an attacker with physical access to the Transparent Memory Encryption (TME) hardware to decrypt encrypted memory due to insufficient cryptographic entropy. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-54073 4.6 medium 0.00% no CPE yet VeraCrypt provides disk encryption with strong security based on TrueCrypt. From 1.26.6 until 1.26.29, file-hosted hidden volume creation forces quick format and the FormatNoFs function in src/Common/Format.c and FormatFat function in src/Common/Fat.c use WriteFile to place raw zeroed sectors at predictable 128 MiB intervals. These writes bypass the normal EncryptDataUnits formatting path, leaving deterministic plaintext markers in an area expected to resemble random ciphertext. The markers can weaken plausible deniability during forensic inspection, although they do not disclose hidden-volume content or reduce the strength of VeraCrypt encryption. This issue is fixed in version 1.26.29. 14 Oct
CVE-2025-11568 4.4 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A data corruption vulnerability has been identified in the luksmeta utility when used with the LUKS1 disk encryption format. An attacker with the necessary permissions can exploit this flaw by writing a large amount of metadata to an encrypted device. The utility fails to correctly validate the available space, causing the metadata to overwrite and corrupt the user's encrypted data. This action leads to a permanent loss of the stored information. Devices using the LUKS formats other than LUKS1 are not affected by this issue. 18 Oct
CVE-2026-13211 4.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet The genucenter web interface before version 8.0p11 unnecessarily exposes sensitive SNMP authentication and encryption keys in its HTTP responses to users with the “Service” or “Admin” role. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-72912 4.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet CyberChef is a web app for encryption, encoding, compression, and data analysis. Prior to 11.3.0, CyberChef's pretty-recipe parser in src/core/Utils.mjs can exhaust client-side CPU when a malformed #recipe= URL fragment containing a large number of unmatched quote characters reaches Utils.parseRecipeConfig(). The function synchronously applies a complex global regular expression that may perform heavy backtracking before rejecting the input, causing the victim's browser tab to freeze during startup for seconds or longer. No code execution, data exfiltration, or privilege escalation occurs. This issue is fixed in version 11.3.0. 23 Oct
CVE-2021-4122 4.3 medium 0.00% cryptsetup_project, cryptsetup It was found that a specially crafted LUKS header could trick cryptsetup into disabling encryption during the recovery of the device. An attacker with physical access to the medium, such as a flash disk, could use this flaw to force a user into permanently disabling the encryption layer of that medium. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-107313 4.2 medium 0.00% no CPE yet pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.4 and 42.7.5 can send the previous contents of the GSS send buffer in place of the first part of a value on a connection with GSS encryption (gssEncMode=prefer or require), and the server stores the value without an error. The buffer is 16320 bytes with MIT Kerberos. The stored value then holds bytes of the messages the driver sent just before it on the same connection, such as the statement's SQL text, its other parameters, and earlier rows of the same batch, instead of the bytes the application supplied. Values at least as long as the buffer are affected when the driver writes them from a byte array: bind parameters set with setString, setBytes, or a ByteStreamWriter, CopyIn.writeToCopy, and LargeObject.write. Most such writes fail with an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException instead. The default, gssEncMode=allow, does not start GSS encryption, and connections without GSS encryption are not affected. Versions 42.7.3 and earlier are not affected, and 42.7.6 fixes the problem. 8 Oct
CVE-2025-3456 3.8 low 0.00% no CPE yet On affected platforms running Arista EOS, the global common encryption key configuration may be logged in clear text, in local or remote accounting logs. Knowledge of both the encryption key and protocol specific encrypted secrets from the device running-config could then be used to obtain protocol specific passwords in cases where symmetric passwords are required between devices with neighbor protocol relationships. 12 Oct
CVE-2026-77572 3.3 low 0.00% no CPE yet VeraCrypt provides disk encryption with strong security based on TrueCrypt. In 1.26.29 and earlier, selected metadata IOCTL handlers in the VeraCrypt Windows veracrypt.sys driver accept caller-supplied object-manager and device paths broader than supported VeraCrypt workflows require. A local user who can open the intentionally user-accessible \.\VeraCrypt device can use TC_IOCTL_GET_RESOLVED_SYMLINK, TC_IOCTL_GET_DRIVE_PARTITION_INFO, VC_IOCTL_GET_DRIVE_GEOMETRY_EX, or the legacy TC_IOCTL_GET_DRIVE_GEOMETRY handler to make src/Driver/Ntdriver.c perform kernel-context symbolic-link or disk-device lookups outside the intended path scope. This can disclose low-sensitivity drive-letter targets, partition information, disk geometry, GPT or MBR state, and limited object-manager path metadata. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-45028 2.9 low 0.00% astro Astro is a web framework. Astro versions prior to 6.1.10 used AES-GCM encryption to protect the confidentiality and integrity of server island props and slots parameters, but did not bind the ciphertext to its intended component or parameter type. An attacker could replay one component's encrypted props (p) value as another component's slots (s) value, or vice versa. Since slots contain raw unescaped HTML while props may contain user-controlled values, this could lead to XSS in applications. This occurs when the application uses server islands, two different server island components share the same key name for a prop and a slot, and an attacker has full control over the value of the overlapping prop (requires a dynamically rendered page). This vulnerability is fixed in 6.1.10. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-116251 2.3 low — pgadmin.org, pgadmin 4 pgAdmin 4 did not invalidate a user's existing sessions when their password changed, either through the user's own change password dialog or through an administrator resetting it in User Management. A session established before the change, for example on another device or by someone who had obtained the old password or a session cookie, therefore stayed logged in after the change, which is the step a user or administrator takes precisely to cut such access off. It remained usable until it expired. The fix rotates the user's session identifier (fs_uniquifier) whenever the password is changed, so every other session of that user is logged out. The session that made the change is logged in again and keeps its database connections. Saved server passwords, including those for shared servers, are re-encrypted under the new key; any that cannot be decrypted are cleared and the user is told. If re-encryption fails, the sessions are still revoked and the saved passwords are cleared rather than the change failing. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.19. 14 h ago
CVE-2026-65655 2.3 low 0.00% no CPE yet When OAuth authentication is enabled and browser-facing TLS terminates at a reverse proxy that forwards the callback to Temporal UI Server over HTTP, affected versions derive authentication-cookie Secure attributes from the proxy-to-server connection. Temporal UI Server can therefore issue access-token cookies, and refresh-token cookies when provided by the identity provider, without Secure even though the browser completed login over HTTPS. A victim who visits attacker-controlled content while a credential remains live may expose that credential only if the attacker can also steer traffic for the UI hostname, prevent the browser's HTTPS connection from succeeding, serve the hostname over HTTP, and read a later same-site plaintext request. A malicious website alone cannot read the cookie, and passive observation of a successful TLS connection is insufficient. Effective HSTS, a blocking HTTPS-only warning, or TLS re-encryption between the proxy and Temporal UI Server prevents the demonstrated disclosure path. A recovered credential may be replayed within the victim's assigned permissions. Refresh-token replay additionally depends on the identity provider's issuance, expiry, rotation, and reuse-detection behavior. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-62995 2.3 low 0.00% no CPE yet joserfc is a Python library that provides an implementation of several JSON Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE) standards. in versions 1.7.1 and prior, joserfc accepts JWTs with trailing padding (==) which are not conforming to the JOSE specifications. This leads to malleability of the JWTs when consumed by joserfc. Depending on this application this might or not be an issue. This could lead to bypass of token revocation or anti-replay protection when implemented as a deny list of tokens or a deny list of token hashes. Note that ECDSA JWS are always malleable because of the malleability of ECDSA signatures (first test case in the code bellow). This makes a scheme which assumes that JWTs are not malleable brittle. However for other signatures (or MAC) schemes it might make sense to assume non malleability of the token. This issue has been fixed in version 1.7.2. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-105933 2.3 low 0.00% no CPE yet Apache Pulsar allows an administrator to require end-to-end message encryption for all topics in a namespace by setting the encryption_required namespace policy. When this policy is set, the broker rejects messages that are published without encryption. When the broker loads a persistent topic, it reads the namespace policies and the topic-level policies as part of topic initialization. If a step of this initialization fails, for example because of an error reading from the metadata store, a failure loading the topic-level policies or a failure in a later initialization step, the broker logs a warning, disables the encryption requirement for that topic, and completes the topic load as if it had succeeded. The topic is then served with encryption_required not enforced, even though the namespace policy requires it. Topic-level policies that could not be loaded are also not applied. While the encryption requirement is not enforced, an authenticated client with permission to produce to the affected topic can publish messages that are not encrypted, and the broker accepts and stores them. This applies both to producers created after the topic was loaded and to producers that were already connected. Messages published with encryption remain encrypted; the issue does not expose the content of encrypted messages or the encryption keys. The condition is not limited to transient failures. If the cause of the initialization failure persists, the encryption requirement is disabled again each time the topic is loaded, for example after a topic unload, a namespace bundle reassignment or a broker restart. An update to the namespace policies restores enforcement on a loaded topic, but only until the topic is loaded again. Enforcement is reliably restored only once the underlying cause of the failure has been resolved and the topic has been loaded again. The broker logs a warning when the encryption requirement is disabled, but the topic load is reported as successful and the state of the encryption requirement is not shown in the topic statistics. In fixed versions, a failure during topic initialization causes the topic load to fail so that it can be retried, instead of loading the topic with the encryption requirement disabled. This issue affects Apache Pulsar versions from 1.22.0-incubating before 4.0.14 and from 4.1.0 before 4.2.5. - 4.0.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.0.14. - 4.1.x and 4.2.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.2.5. Users operating versions prior to those listed above should upgrade to the aforementioned patched versions or newer versions. The currently supported Apache Pulsar release lines are 4.0.x and 5.0.x. The supported versions schedule is available at https://pulsar.apache.org/contribute/release-policy/. Users who rely on encryption_required and cannot upgrade immediately can monitor the broker logs for warnings containing "isEncryptionRequired will be set to false" (the exact wording of the message differs between releases), resolve the underlying cause of the failure, and then reload the affected topic and confirm that the warning does not recur. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-17578 2.3 low 0.00% no CPE yet Kong Event Gateway versions 1.0.0 through 1.1.1 and 1.2.0 do not enforce key rotation before reaching NIST SP 800-38D recommended usage limit for AES-GCM encryption keys with random nonces when the AWS IAM encryption feature is enabled. If a producer sends messages at a sustained high rate without key rotation, which only occurs on reboot of the Kong Event Gateway instance, the probability of a nonce collision becomes non-negligible. An authorized consumer who detects a nonce collision can recover parts of plaintext from the affected messages. New versions 1.1.2 and 1.2.1 enforce automatic key rotation before the recommended usage limit is reached. 23 Oct
CVE-2025-30200 2.3 low 0.00% ecovacs, deebot_x1s_pro_firmware, deebot_x1_pro_omni_firmware, deebot_x1_omni_firmware ECOVACS robot vacuums and base stations communicate via an insecure Wi-Fi network with a deterministic AES encryption key, which can be easily derived. 18 Oct
CVE-2026-115247 2.1 low 0.00% no CPE yet A security vulnerability has been detected in subhajitkhan online-clinic-management-system up to e9ee77a8827a1446220fa07ee693dc4d9a29a578. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the file patientregistration.php. The manipulation of the argument pat_pswd/doc_pswd leads to missing encryption of sensitive data. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-55967 2.0 low 0.00% wolfssl AES-GCM encryption/decryption with extremely large cumulative single message sizes (>64 GiB) were not properly rejected by the streaming APIs, allowing counter wrap, keystream reuse, and consequent plaintext recovery. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-50268 1.9 low 0.00% no CPE yet Steeltoe is an open source project that provides a collection of libraries that helps users build cloud-native applications. In Steeltoe.Configuration.Encryption 4.0.0 through 4.1.0, configuring `encrypt:rsa:algorithm=OAEP` does not enable OAEP encryption. Due to an incorrect BouncyCastle transformation string, the `OAEP` setting selects PKCS#1 v1.5, which is the same algorithm as the `DEFAULT` setting. Steeltoe.Configuration.Encryption version 4.2.0 patches the issue. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-13483 1.3 low 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw has been found in arc53 DocsGPT up to 0.18.0. The affected element is the function encrypt_credentials of the file application/security/encryption.py of the component Credential Storage. This manipulation causes insufficient verification of data authenticity. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitability is described as difficult. The exploit has been published and may be used. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-63811 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: read COW data with the original inode during atomic write When updating an atomic-write file, f2fs_write_begin() may read the previously written data back from the COW inode: prepare_atomic_write_begin() locates the block in the COW inode and sets use_cow, and the read bio is then built with the COW inode: f2fs_submit_page_read(use_cow ? F2FS_I(inode)->cow_inode : inode, ...); and f2fs_grab_read_bio() decides whether to schedule fs-layer decryption (STEP_DECRYPT) for the bio based on that inode via fscrypt_inode_uses_fs_layer_crypto(). However, the folio being filled belongs to the original inode (folio->mapping->host == inode), and the data stored in the COW block was encrypted (or left as plaintext) using the original inode's context, not the COW inode's -- see f2fs_encrypt_one_page(), which keys off fio->page->mapping->host. fscrypt_decrypt_pagecache_blocks() likewise operates on folio->mapping->host. The COW inode is created as a tmpfile in the parent directory and inherits its encryption policy from there. With test_dummy_encryption the newly created COW inode gets the dummy policy and becomes encrypted, while a pre-existing regular file -- created before the policy applied, e.g. already present in the on-disk image -- stays unencrypted. The read path then sets STEP_DECRYPT based on the encrypted COW inode and calls fscrypt_decrypt_pagecache_blocks() on a folio whose host (the unencrypted original inode) has a NULL ->i_crypt_info, dereferencing it: Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address ... KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000008-0x000000000000000f] RIP: 0010:fscrypt_decrypt_pagecache_blocks+0xa0/0x310 Workqueue: f2fs_post_read_wq f2fs_post_read_work Call Trace: fscrypt_decrypt_bio+0x1eb/0x340 f2fs_post_read_work+0xba/0x140 process_one_work+0x91c/0x1a40 worker_thread+0x677/0xe90 kthread+0x2bc/0x3a0 The COW inode is only needed to locate the on-disk block, and that block address is already resolved into @blkaddr by prepare_atomic_write_begin() via __find_data_block(cow_inode, ...); f2fs_submit_page_read() then reads from that physical @blkaddr directly, so the inode argument only selects the post-read crypto context, not which block is fetched. Reading with @inode therefore returns the same (latest, not-yet-committed) COW data, while making both the fs-layer decryption decision and the inline crypto path use the correct (original inode's) key. With the COW inode no longer used at the read site, the use_cow flag has no remaining consumer; drop it from f2fs_write_begin() and prepare_atomic_write_begin(). 21 Oct
CVE-2026-80832 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qce - fix CCM AAD buffer underallocation The AAD buffer allocated in qce_aead_ccm_prepare_buf_assoclen() can be smaller than the length later programmed into the DMA scatterlist. The allocation size is currently calculated as: ALIGN(assoclen, 16) + MAX_CCM_ADATA_HEADER_LEN while the DMA length is set to: ALIGN(assoclen + adata_header_len, 16) Since ALIGN() does not distribute over addition, the allocation can be smaller than the DMA length. For example, when assoclen = 32 and adata_header_len = 2: allocation = ALIGN(32, 16) + 6 = 38 DMA length = ALIGN(32 + 2, 16) = 48 As a result, the QCE hardware can read beyond the allocated buffer while computing the CBC-MAC over the associated data. The extra bytes are folded into the authentication tag, resulting in an incorrect tag and causing CCM self-test failures such as: alg: aead: ccm-aes-qce encryption test failed (wrong result) on test vector 8 Fix the allocation by adding the maximum possible AAD header length before alignment: ALIGN(assoclen + MAX_CCM_ADATA_HEADER_LEN, 16) This guarantees that the allocated buffer is large enough for the fully padded AAD data for all supported header sizes. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-80831 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: mxs-dcp - fix source scatterlist length access mxs_dcp_aes_block_crypt() uses sg_dma_len() without mapping the source scatterlist with dma_map_sg() first. Therefore, sg_dma_len() is invalid and could return zero or a stale DMA length, causing encryption and decryption to process the wrong number of bytes when CONFIG_NEED_SG_DMA_LENGTH=y. Use the original scatterlist length instead. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-80806 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: don't enable DAX on new encrypted files Currently, when a new encrypted regular file is created, the call to ext4_set_inode_flags(inode, init=true) in __ext4_new_inode() is made before EXT4_INODE_ENCRYPT is set. As a result, it can set S_DAX if the filesystem is mounted with "-o dax=always". EXT4_INODE_ENCRYPT then actually gets set a bit later in __ext4_new_inode(), when it calls fscrypt_set_context() which calls ext4_set_context(). ext4_set_context() sets EXT4_INODE_ENCRYPT and calls ext4_set_inode_flags(inode, init=false) to set S_ENCRYPTED too. This was intended to clear S_DAX as well. However, this was broken by commit 043546e46dc7 ("fs/ext4: Only change S_DAX on inode load"). This causes data written to the file to bypass encryption, also causing xfstests failures such as generic/548 (when "-o dax=always" is used). Fix this by simplifying the flow by making __ext4_new_inode() set EXT4_INODE_ENCRYPT earlier. This makes it take effect in ext4_set_inode_flags(inode, init=true), making S_DAX never be set. Similarly, make EXT4_STATE_MAY_INLINE_DATA never be set in the first place on new encrypted inodes. Then it doesn't need to be cleared. As a result of these simplifications, ext4_set_context() no longer needs to change inode flags or state when 'handle != NULL'. Remove that too. 19 Oct
