CVE-2026-65986 8.5 high 0.00% no CPE yet CVAT is an open source interactive video and image annotation tool for computer vision. Versions 2.5.0 through 2.66.0 contain a XSS vulnerability that can be accessed through annotation guide assets. When CVAT serves the files attached to an annotation guide, it labels them with a media type ( Content-Type ) that the attacker can influence, so instead of treating an uploaded file as plain data, the victim's browser can be told to treat it as an HTML page and run any JavaScript inside it. This issue has been fixed in version 2.67.0. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-71473 8.5 high 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in the `search-v2-operator` component. A user with specific administrative permissions on a managed cluster can exploit a vulnerability that allows them to inject arbitrary configuration data. This manipulation can override critical settings, leading to the replacement of container images. This ultimately results in container image injection on the managed cluster, potentially compromising its integrity. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-16033 8.5 high 0.00% canonical, lxd A path traversal vulnerability in LXD allows an attacker to achieve arbitrary host file read or unconstrained file creation. When processing image metadata templates, LXD fails to properly sanitize or restrict template file paths from escaping the instance templates directory (specifically affecting virtual machine / QEMU driver execution paths). An attacker can exploit this flaw by providing a crafted image archive with malicious template directives containing path traversal sequences, causing LXD to access or write files outside the intended template directory on the host system. CVE-2026-73220 8.5 high 0.00% no CPE yet CVAT is an open source interactive video and image annotation tool for computer vision. From 2.68.0 until 2.70.0, the audio-task annotation guide renderer in cvat-ui/src/audio/components/annotation-page/audio-workspace/top-bar/audio-right-group.tsx passes attacker-controlled guide Markdown to MDEditor without the rehype-sanitize plugin. A user who can create or edit an annotation guide can store malicious JavaScript that executes when another user opens the guide. The script can issue arbitrary CVAT requests with the victim user's privileges. This issue is fixed in version 2.70.0. 18 Oct
CVE-2026-18111 8.5 high 0.00% concretecms, concrete_cms Concrete CMS 9 before 9.5.3 was vulnerable to stored cross-site scripting (XSS) in the Feature, Feature Link, Hero Image, and Image blocks and before Concrete 8.5.21 in the feature and Image blocks because the external link URL was insufficiently validated by the link filter and was rendered without output escaping. A user with page-editing permissions (such as Add Block combined with Edit Contents on a single page) could store a crafted external link value that broke out of the link markup and injected arbitrary JavaScript. The script executed in the browser session of any user who subsequently viewed, previewed, or edited the affected page, which could lead to session hijacking and escalation of privileges up to full administrative takeover. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 8.5 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:P/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. Thanks to KhanMarshai for reporting this issue. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-17250 8.5 high 0.00% no CPE yet A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the firmware update functionality of TL-MR6400 v7 due to unsafe processing of attacker-controlled metadata within a firmware image. Successful exploitation may allow an authenticated attacker to trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the affected device. 14 Oct
CVE-2025-11198 8.5 high 0.00% juniper, security_director_policy_enforcer A Missing Authentication for Critical Function vulnerability in Juniper Networks Security Director Policy Enforcer allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to replace legitimate vSRX images with malicious ones. If a trusted user initiates deployment, Security Director Policy Enforcer will deliver the attacker's uploaded image to VMware NSX instead of a legitimate one. This issue affects Security Director Policy Enforcer: * All versions before 23.1R1 Hotpatch v3. This issue does not affect Junos Space Security Director Insights. 8 Oct
CVE-2025-59146 8.5 high 0.00% no CPE yet New API is a large language mode (LLM) gateway and artificial intelligence (AI) asset management system. An authenticated Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in versions prior to 0.9.0.5. A feature within the application allows authenticated users to submit a URL for the server to process its content. The application fails to properly validate this user-supplied URL before making a server-side request. This vulnerability is not limited to image URLs and can be triggered with any link provided to the vulnerable endpoint. Since user registration is often enabled by default, any registered user can exploit this. By crafting a malicious URL, an attacker can coerce the server to send requests to arbitrary internal or external services. The vulnerability has been patched in version 0.9.0.5. The patch introduces a comprehensive, user-configurable SSRF protection module, which is enabled by default to protect server security. This new feature provides administrators with granular control over outbound requests made by the server. For users who cannot upgrade immediately, some temporary mitigation options are available. Enable new-api image processing worker (new-api-worker) and/or configure egress firewall rules. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-114113 8.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet Sharp before 0.35.0 bundles a version of libvips affected by multiple vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-33327, CVE-2026-33328, CVE-2026-35590, CVE-2026-35591 and CVE-2026-69242) in its GIF, TIFF and VIPS image decoders. Attackers can supply crafted GIF, TIFF or VIPS files to applications using sharp to process untrusted input, triggering these libvips flaws. Tue 27 Oct
CVE-2026-34589 8.4 high 0.00% openexr OpenEXR provides the specification and reference implementation of the EXR file format, an image storage format for the motion picture industry. From 3.2.0 to before 3.2.7, 3.3.9, and 3.4.9, the DWA lossy decoder constructs temporary per-component block pointers using signed 32-bit arithmetic. For a large enough width, the calculation overflows and later decoder stores operate on a wrapped pointer outside the allocated rowBlock backing store. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.2.7, 3.3.9, and 3.4.9. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-40244 8.4 high 0.00% openexr OpenEXR provides the specification and reference implementation of the EXR file format, an image storage format for the motion picture industry. In versions 3.4.0 through 3.4.9, 3.3.0 through 3.3.9, and 3.2.0 through 3.2.7, `internal_dwa_compressor.h:1722` performs `curc->width * curc->height` in `int32` arithmetic without a `(size_t)` cast. This is the same overflow pattern fixed in other locations by the recent CVE-2026-34589 batch, but this line was missed. Versions 3.4.10, 3.3.10, and 3.2.8 contain a fix that addresses `internal_dwa_compressor.h:1722`. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-40250 8.4 high 0.00% openexr OpenEXR provides the specification and reference implementation of the EXR file format, an image storage format for the motion picture industry. In versions 3.4.0 through 3.4.9, 3.3.0 through 3.3.9, and 3.2.0 through 3.2.7, `internal_dwa_compressor.h:1040` performs `chan->width * chan->bytes_per_element` in `int32` arithmetic without a `(size_t)` cast. This is the same overflow pattern fixed in other decoders by CVE-2026-34589/34588/34544, but this line was missed. Versions 3.4.10, 3.3.10, and 3.2.8 contain a fix that addresses `internal_dwa_compressor.h:1040`. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-40706 8.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet In NTFS-3G 2022.10.3 before 2026.2.25, a heap buffer overflow exists in ntfs_build_permissions_posix() in acls.c that allows an attacker to corrupt heap memory in the SUID-root ntfs-3g binary by crafting a malicious NTFS image. The overflow is triggered on the READ path (stat, readdir, open) when processing a security descriptor with multiple ACCESS_DENIED ACEs containing WRITE_OWNER from distinct group SIDs. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-43903 8.4 high 0.00% openimageio OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.18.0 and 3.1.13.0, sgiinput.cpp:265,274 use OIIO_DASSERT for bounds checking in the RLE decode loop. In release builds, OIIO_DASSERT compiles to ((void)sizeof(x)) (dassert.h:210), making all bounds checks no-ops. A crafted .sgi file with RLE count exceeding scanline width causes heap buffer overflow and crash. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.0.18.0 and 3.1.13.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-43904 8.4 high 0.00% openimageio OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.18.0 and 3.1.13.0, softimageinput.cpp:469 (mixed RLE) and :345 (pure RLE) do not clamp the run length to remaining scanline width before writing pixels. The raw packet path (line 403) correctly clamps with std::min, but RLE paths skip this check. A crafted .pic file causes heap overflow up to 65535 bytes. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.0.18.0 and 3.1.13.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-69242 8.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs. Prior to version 8.18.3, a crafted many-band TIFF processed through VipsForeignLoadTiff can evade scanline validation in libvips/iofuncs/image.c and cause an integer overflow in vips_image_sanity. The resulting buffer-region calculation can access attacker-controlled negative offsets in mmap-resident allocations, allowing reads or writes of other image data, possible data disclosure through uncompressed .v output, and likely process crashes. Remote code execution has not been demonstrated but cannot be ruled out. This issue is fixed in version 8.18.3. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-34544 8.4 high 0.00% openexr OpenEXR provides the specification and reference implementation of the EXR file format, an image storage format for the motion picture industry. From version 3.4.0 to before version 3.4.8, a crafted B44 or B44A EXR file can cause an out-of-bounds write in any application that decodes it via exr_decoding_run(). Consequences range from immediate crash (most likely) to corruption of adjacent heap allocations (layout-dependent). This issue has been patched in version 3.4.8. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-91186 8.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet The PNG chunk reader has no notion of chunk ordering. It records whether an IDAT has been seen and whether a tRNS has already supplied transparency, but nothing prevents an IHDR being read a second time. A PNG carries exactly one IHDR and it is the first chunk. A file that places a second one after IDAT rewrites the image width, height, bit depth and pixel depth *after* the decoded-data buffer has already been allocated and filled from the original values. The pass that reverses the PNG row filters then derives its own extent from the new dimensions and walks the old allocation, moving image bytes past the end of it. The buffer is allocated by GUIX rather than supplied by the caller, so the application has no way to size it defensively. The decoder is compiled in by default. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-53369 8.4 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: udf: reject descriptors with oversized CRC length udf_read_tagged() skips CRC verification when descCRCLength + sizeof(struct tag) exceeds the block size. A crafted UDF image can set descCRCLength to an oversized value to bypass CRC validation entirely; the descriptor is then accepted based solely on the 8-bit tag checksum, which is trivially recomputable. Reject such descriptors instead of silently accepting them. A legitimate single-block descriptor should never have a CRC length that exceeds the block. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-89782 8.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: reject restart table growth beyond U16_MAX entries During $LogFile replay, log_replay() indexes the transaction table by the transact_id taken from the log record header. check_log_rec() only verifies that transact_id is non-zero and properly aligned, not its magnitude, so a crafted image can request an arbitrarily large index. alloc_rsttbl_from_idx() grows the table to cover that index via extend_rsttbl(), which passes the new entry count to init_rsttbl(): rt = init_rsttbl(esize, used + add); used + add is computed as u32 but init_rsttbl() takes a u16, and the count is stored in struct RESTART_TABLE as a __le16. When used + add exceeds U16_MAX it is truncated, init_rsttbl() allocates a table far smaller than the index requires, and alloc_rsttbl_from_idx() then dereferences and writes at the original, untruncated offset -- an out-of-bounds access past the allocation, reachable by mounting a crafted NTFS image. BUG: KASAN: use-after-free in alloc_rsttbl_from_idx (fs/ntfs3/fslog.c:950) Read of size 4 at addr ffff8880327ffff8 by task exploit alloc_rsttbl_from_idx (fs/ntfs3/fslog.c:950) log_replay (fs/ntfs3/fslog.c:4562) ntfs_loadlog_and_replay (fs/ntfs3/fsntfs.c:324) ntfs_fill_super (fs/ntfs3/super.c:1393) get_tree_bdev_flags vfs_get_tree path_mount __x64_sys_mount A restart table is limited to U16_MAX entries by its __le16 count, so a larger growth request is invalid input. Reject it in extend_rsttbl(); all callers already handle a NULL return. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-89781 8.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: fix out-of-bounds read in read_log_rec_buf() read_log_rec_buf() copies a log record into a caller buffer starting at u32 off = lsn_to_page_off(log, lsn) + log->record_header_len; log->record_header_len (and log->data_off, used for the following pages) comes verbatim from the on-disk restart area and is only checked for 8-byte alignment in is_rst_area_valid(), so off can exceed log->page_size. "tail = log->page_size - off" then underflows and memcpy() reads past the page_size-sized buffer returned by read_log_page(), spilling adjacent slab memory into the replay buffer. This is reachable by mounting a crafted NTFS image: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in read_log_rec_buf+0x216/0x580 Read of size 64 at addr ffff88800a877ff8 by task exploit/127 read_log_rec_buf fs/ntfs3/fslog.c:2299 log_replay fs/ntfs3/fslog.c:4216 ntfs_loadlog_and_replay fs/ntfs3/fsntfs.c:324 ntfs_fill_super fs/ntfs3/super.c:1392 get_tree_bdev_flags fs/super.c:1694 __x64_sys_mount fs/namespace.c:4360 The buggy address is located 4088 bytes to the right of the 4096-byte region [ffff88800a876000, ffff88800a877000) Reject an in-page offset outside the current page before the copy. CVE-2026-80536 8.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: bounds-check buffer log item's dirty bitmap xlog_recover_do_reg_buffer() replays each dirty region described by a buffer log item's bitmap into the buffer read for that item: memcpy(xfs_buf_offset(bp, (uint)bit << XFS_BLF_SHIFT), item->ri_buf[i].iov_base, nbits << XFS_BLF_SHIFT); The destination offset (bit/nbits, from the logged dirty bitmap) and the buffer size (from the logged blf_len) are both attacker-controlled and otherwise unrelated, yet the only thing bounding the copy is an ASSERT(), which compiles away on production kernels. A crafted image logging a small blf_len together with a bitmap bit past the end of that buffer drives the memcpy() past the buffer's allocation, corrupting adjacent kernel heap during mount-time log recovery. This is reachable by anyone who can get a crafted image mounted -- the malicious-filesystem threat model XFS already guards against elsewhere. Turn the ASSERT() into a real XFS_IS_CORRUPT() check that aborts recovery of the buffer with -EFSCORRUPTED, consistent with the validate-and-fail idiom already used in xlog_recover_do_inode_buffer() and xfs_dquot_item_recover.c. xlog_recover_do_reg_buffer() therefore becomes STATIC int and its three callers propagate the error. Found and confirmed with KASAN on a CONFIG_XFS_DEBUG=n build: the crafted image trips a slab-out-of-bounds write before this change and fails recovery cleanly with -EFSCORRUPTED after it. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-72197 8.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: bound DeleteIndexEntryAllocation memmove length In do_action()'s DeleteIndexEntryAllocation case, e->size comes from an on-disk INDEX_BUFFER entry. When e->size makes e + e->size point past hdr + hdr->used, PtrOffset(e1, Add2Ptr(hdr, used)) returns a negative ptrdiff_t that is silently cast to a quasi-infinite size_t when passed to memmove(). The memmove then walks past the destination buffer. The sibling DeleteIndexEntryRoot case at fslog.c:3540-3543 already carries the corresponding guard: if (PtrOffset(e1, Add2Ptr(hdr, used)) < esize || Add2Ptr(e, esize) > Add2Ptr(lrh, rec_len) || used + esize > le32_to_cpu(hdr->total)) { goto dirty_vol; } Apply the same shape to the allocation-path case. Also reject esize == 0: memmove(e, e, ...) is a no-op and leaves hdr->used unchanged, hiding a malformed entry from the existing check_index_header() walk. Reproduced under UML+KASAN on mainline 8d90b09e6741 by mounting a crafted NTFS image: the unguarded memmove takes a length of 0xffffffffffffff00 and the kernel oopses in memmove+0x81/0x1a0 on the do_action+0x36a2 frame. [[email protected]: clang-formatted the changes] 16 Oct
CVE-2022-50746 8.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: validate the extent length for uncompressed pclusters syzkaller reported a KASAN use-after-free: https://syzkaller.appspot.com/bug?extid=2ae90e873e97f1faf6f2 The referenced fuzzed image actually has two issues: - m_pa == 0 as a non-inlined pcluster; - The logical length is longer than its physical length. The first issue has already been addressed. This patch addresses the second issue by checking the extent length validity. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-117494 8.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in the processing of SVG images submitted to the /api/v2/ai/sessions API in the format data:image/svg+xml;base64. Script tags embedded in the SVG are processed when the content is rendered in the assistant window, allowing JavaScript to be executed and the displayed content to be altered. Tue 27 Oct
CVE-2026-43907 8.3 high 0.00% openimageio OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.18.0 and 3.1.13.0, a signed integer overflow in QueryRGBBufferSizeInternal() in DPXColorConverter.cpp leads to a heap-based out-of-bounds write when processing crafted DPX image files. The function computes buffer sizes using 32-bit signed integer arithmetic with negative multipliers (e.g., pixels * -3 * bytes for kCbYCr descriptors and pixels * -4 * bytes for kABGR descriptors), where a negative result is used as an in-band signal that no separate buffer is needed. When the pixel count is sufficiently large, the multiplication overflows INT_MIN and wraps to a small positive value. The caller in dpxinput.cpp interprets this positive value as a required buffer size, allocates an undersized heap buffer via m_decodebuf.resize(), and then writes the full image data into it via fread, resulting in a heap buffer overflow. An attacker can exploit this by crafting a DPX file that triggers the overflow, causing a denial of service (crash) or potentially arbitrary code execution through heap corruption in any application that reads pixel data using OpenImageIO. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.0.18.0 and 3.1.13.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-45696 8.3 high 0.00% openexr OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image format, widely used in the motion picture industry. In versions 3.4.0 through 3.4.11, the HTJ2K (High-Throughput JPEG 2000) decoder, ht_undo_impl() in OpenEXRCore is vulnerable to a heap-buffer-overflow READ. The ht_undo_imp function copies decoded pixels out of a per-line OpenJPH buffer using the EXR channel's declared width as the iteration count. The codestream embedded in the EXR chunk can declare different (smaller) tile/line dimensions than the EXR header advertises, but ht_undo_impl() does not validate this — it pulls width 32-bit samples from cur_line->i32[] without checking the OpenJPH line buffer's actual length. A crafted EXR file produces a 4-byte heap-buffer-overflow READ immediately after a buffer allocated by ojph::local::codestream::finalize_alloc(). The bug is reachable through the standard scanline-decode entry point used by every consumer of exr_decoding_run/Imf::checkOpenEXRFile, including thumbnailers, asset pipelines, and the exrcheck utility — i.e. any application that opens untrusted EXR files. The result is a deterministic crash (DoS) and potential adjacent-heap leak. This issue has been fixed in version 3.4.12. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-56448 8.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet A path traversal vulnerability exists in AIL Framework before the release containing commit 0041456af25da0cdea1c1c4624e46baff2731d8f. An authenticated AIL user can supply crafted object identifiers through the investigation workflow to cause file paths to resolve outside the intended image, favicon, or screenshot storage directories. This may allow the attacker to download and read arbitrary files that are accessible to the AIL process. The issue occurs because user-controlled path components were joined with application storage paths without verifying that the resolved path remained within the expected directory. The affected download functionality could then include the contents of such files in a generated archive. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-114727 8.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet Roundcube Webmail before 1.6.20 and 1.7.x before 1.7.5 passes potentially unsafe content into ImageMagick when resizing images. SVG and EPS were accepted as valid image types for contact photo upload and conversion, and both formats can reference external resources and invoke ImageMagick delegates when processed. Upstream fixed this in the commit “Fix passing potentally unsafe attachment content into ImageMagick on image resize”, which removes svg and eps from the accepted types. 22 Oct
CVE-2026-108699 8.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet hyper-mcp through 0.8.3 contains an improper signature verification vulnerability that allows attackers to load malicious WebAssembly plugins because cosign_verify_args() accepts any signer identity and OIDC issuer by default. Attackers controlling a plugin image reference can sign a malicious image with a free Sigstore keyless certificate to execute plugins with configured host, filesystem, and environment capabilities. 16 Oct
CVE-2025-58356 8.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet Constellation is the first Confidential Kubernetes. The Constellation CVM image uses LUKS2-encrypted volumes for persistent storage. When opening an encrypted storage device, the CVM uses the libcryptsetup function crypt_activate_by_passhrase. If the VM is successful in opening the partition with the disk encryption key, it treats the volume as confidential. However, due to the unsafe handling of null keyslot algorithms in the cryptsetup 2.8.1, it is possible that the opened volume is not encrypted at all. Cryptsetup prior to version 2.8.1 does not report an error when processing LUKS2-formatted disks that use the cipher_null-ecb algorithm in the keyslot encryption field. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.24.0. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-14467 8.2 high — forocoches, forocoches comments editor An information disclosure vulnerability in the Forocoches comments editor that allows an attacker to obtain unauthorised user information by inserting an image containing a malicious external URL into a comment. When a victim views the discussion thread, their browser automatically sends an HTTP/HTTPS request to the server controlled by the attacker, who can then collect information such as the source IP address, the User-Agent header, the date and time of access, and other metadata derived from the request, thereby compromising the user’s privacy. 4 h ago
CVE-2026-116827 8.2 high 0.00% no CPE yet YesWiki before 4.7.0 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the Bazar CSV import copyUrlToLocalFile() function that allows authenticated administrators to make arbitrary outbound requests by supplying crafted URLs in CSV file or image fields. Attackers can bypass the extension check with a query-string suffix or redirects to fetch cloud metadata credentials, internal services, or local files via file://, with responses stored in the web-accessible files/ directory. Tue 27 Oct
CVE-2026-33206 8.2 high 0.00% calibre-ebook, calibre calibre is a cross-platform e-book manager for viewing, converting, editing, and cataloging e-books. Prior to version 9.6.0, a path traversal vulnerability exists in Calibre' handling of images in Markdown and other similar text-based files allowing an attacker to include arbitrary files from the file system into the converted book. Additionally, missing authentication and server-side request forgery in the background-image endpoint in the ebook reader web view allow the files to be exfiltrated without additional interaction. Version 9.6.0 contains a fix. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-45627 8.2 high 0.00% no CPE yet Arcane is an interface for managing Docker containers, images, networks, and volumes. Prior to 1.19.0, the unauthenticated GET /api/app-images/logo endpoint reflects a user-supplied color query parameter into the body of an SVG document via strings.ReplaceAll with no escaping. The substitution lands inside a <style> element of the embedded logo.svg, allowing an attacker to close the style block and inject executable <script> content. Because the response is served as image/svg+xml and Arcane sets no Content-Security-Policy or X-Content-Type-Options headers, navigating a logged-in admin victim to a crafted URL executes attacker-controlled JavaScript in Arcane's origin and rides the victim's HttpOnly JWT cookie to fully compromise the admin account. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.19.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-48788 8.2 high 0.00% no CPE yet Remark42 is a self-hosted comment engine for blogs, articles, or any other place where readers can add comments. Versions 1.6.0 through 1.15.0 contain a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exploitable through content-type spoofing. The Remark42 image proxy fetches an arbitrary remote URL and re-serves the response from Remark42's own origin. During the download phase, the proxy determines whether the resource is an image by inspecting only the Content-Type header advertised by the remote server, never examining the actual bytes; during the serving phase, it instead derives the response Content-Type by sniffing those bytes with http.DetectContentType. An attacker can exploit this inconsistency by hosting a URL that advertises Content-Type: image/png while returning an HTML/JavaScript body: the download check accepts it as an image, the serving path sniffs the body and emits Content-Type: text/html, and the browser renders the attacker-controlled HTML/JavaScript as a document within Remark42's origin. Exploitation requires no Remark42 account on the target instance; the attacker only needs to host the malicious upstream URL and deliver the proxy link to a victim by any means, such as email, direct message, or a link on another website. This issue has been fixed in version 1.16.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-15075 8.2 high 0.00% eclipse, vert.x In Eclipse Vert.x versions up to and including 4.5.29 (4.x branch) and 5.1.4 (5.x branch), DefaultRedirectHandler (vertx-core) propagates all request headers as-is across cross-origin HTTP 30x redirects. Only Content-Length is stripped; no origin comparison (scheme, host, port) is performed before copying headers to the redirect target. As a result, credential headers, including Authorization, Cookie, Proxy-Authorization, and arbitrary custom headers such as X-API-Token, are forwarded to the redirect destination without the caller's knowledge. An attacker who can cause a Vert.x HttpClient to issue a request that is redirected to an attacker-controlled host (for example, by supplying a URL to a webhook dispatcher, image proxy, or microservice URL fetcher) can capture bearer tokens, basic-auth credentials, session cookies, and API keys attached to the original request. CVE-2026-59197 8.2 high 0.00% python, pillow Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 12.3.0, Pillow's public rank-filter API can trigger a native heap out-of-bounds write when given a very large odd filter size because ImageFilter.RankFilter.filter() calls image.expand(size // 2, size // 2) before rank-filter size validation and ImagingExpand() computes output dimensions with unchecked signed int arithmetic. This issue is fixed in version 12.3.0. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-56670 8.2 high 0.00% no CPE yet ComfyUI is a modular diffusion model GUI, api and backend with a graph/nodes interface. Prior to 0.28.0, the /view endpoint served uploaded SVG files inline because image/svg+xml and related XML content types were absent from the dangerous-content-type handling, allowing stored cross-site scripting in the ComfyUI origin. This issue is fixed in version 0.28.0. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-56672 8.2 high 0.00% no CPE yet ComfyUI is a node-based diffusion model GUI, API, and backend. Prior to 0.28.0, GET /userdata/{file} served user-controlled HTML and SVG files with extension-derived content types, allowing stored cross-site scripting in the ComfyUI origin and access to browser-stored API tokens, settings, workflows, and authenticated-equivalent API calls. The handler used web.FileResponse(path), so an uploaded .html/.svg was served as text/html/image/svg+xml. POST /userdata stores arbitrary request bodies (confined to the user's userdata directory). When a victim navigated to the file URL, the embedded script executed same-origin. The /view endpoint already forced dangerous MIME types to download; that protection had never been applied to /userdata. This issue is fixed in version 0.28.0. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2025-58207 8.2 high 0.00% no CPE yet Missing Authorization vulnerability in WP Messiah Ai Image Alt Text Generator for WP ai-image-alt-text-generator-for-wp allows Exploiting Incorrectly Configured Access Control Security Levels. This issue affects Ai Image Alt Text Generator for WP: from n/a through <= 1.1.5. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-96263 8.2 high 0.00% no CPE yet IBM Power Systems Firmware FW1120.00 through FW1120.01, FW1110.00 through FW1110.31, and FW1060.00 through FW1060.81 is affected by a vulnerability in the host firmware boot process image validation path. An attacker with service access to the service processor can supply a maliciously crafted code update image, allowing arbitrary code to be executed on the host system. Successful exploitation could result in a confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact to the affected host system. 13 Oct
CVE-2026-61824 8.2 high 0.00% no CPE yet Defuddle cleans up HTML pages. Prior to 0.19.1, site extractors interpolate page-derived image alt and src values, og:image values, and video descriptions into HTML strings without context-appropriate escaping, and buildExtractorResponse() returns this contentHtml without the main pipeline's DOM-based sanitization. The affected paths include src/extractors/x-article.ts, src/extractors/substack.ts, and src/extractors/youtube.ts. A malicious page or attacker-controlled content on a matching domain can inject event-handler attributes or javascript URLs that execute when a victim or downstream application renders the extracted HTML. This issue is fixed in version 0.19.1. 12 Oct
CVE-2026-44019 8.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet Docling Core defines core data types and transformations for the document processing application Docling. In versions 2.5.0 and above, prior to 2.74.1, docling-core could allow local file:// image references and accepted inline data: content without a decoded-size limit. In applications that accept untrusted image references, this may allow access to local files readable by the process or excessive memory use from large inline payloads. This issue has been fixed in version 2.74.1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-46570 8.1 high 0.00% tuxera, ntfs-3g In NTFS-3G before 2026.7.7, a heap buffer overflow exists in ntfs_index_walk_down() in libntfs-3g/index.c that allows an attacker to corrupt heap memory in the SUID-root ntfs-3g binary by crafting a malicious NTFS image. The overflow is triggered by reading the special crafted file metadata. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-80747 8.0 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: Add bounds check for CRAT subtype length The CRAT parser validates that the subtype header fits within the image, but does not verify that the advertised subtype length fits. A malformed CRAT table with an oversized length field causes out-of-bounds reads when kfd_parse_subtype() casts the header to specific subtype structures. Add validation that sub_type_hdr + length does not exceed the image boundary before parsing the subtype contents. (cherry picked from commit 48e1d1e6e8798aef0312e68d8e586021b5b3cf4d) 21 Oct
CVE-2026-89954 8.0 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: afs: validate v2 image info bounds The AFS v2 parser uses footer[8] to locate the image information block inside the current erase block, then uses the image information region_count to walk entries from a fixed local array. The footer offset and region count come from flash contents and are not checked against the erase block or the local image-info array before use. Reject v2 entries whose image information offset would underflow the erase block calculation, and reject region counts that cannot fit in the local image-info array before walking region entries. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-53615 8.0 high 0.00% no CPE yet util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities. Before util-linux 2.41.4, `parse_dos_extended()` in `libblkid/src/partitions/dos.c` computes an extended-partition start sector with 32-bit addition and does not apply the extended-area bounds checks to the first two EBR entries. A local attacker who causes a crafted DOS extended-partition disk image or removable medium to be probed can wrap `cur_start + start` to sector zero and cause libblkid to report a false partition overlapping the MBR. This directly compromises the integrity of the reported partition metadata; disk modification or availability loss requires a separate downstream consumer to act on that metadata. This issue is fixed in 2.41.4. 16 Oct
