CVE-2026-63830 9.4 critical 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: skmsg: preserve sg.copy across SG transforms The sk_msg sg.copy bitmap is part of the scatterlist entry ownership state. A set bit tells sk_msg_compute_data_pointers() not to expose the entry through writable BPF ctx->data. This protects entries backed by pages that are not private to the sk_msg, such as splice-backed file page-cache pages. Several sk_msg transform paths move, copy, split, or compact msg->sg.data[] entries without moving the matching sg.copy bit. This can make an externally backed entry arrive at a new slot with a clear copy bit. A later SK_MSG verdict can then expose sg_virt(sge) as writable ctx->data and BPF stores can modify the original page cache. Keep sg.copy synchronized with sg.data[] whenever entries are transferred, shifted, split, or copied into a new sk_msg. Clear the bit when an entry is replaced by a newly allocated private page or freed. This covers the BPF pull/push/pop helpers, sk_msg_shift_left/right(), sk_msg_xfer(), and tls_split_open_record(), including the partial tail entry created during TLS open-record splitting. 22 Oct
CVE-2026-111732 9.3 critical 0.00% rt-labs, p-net P-Net before 1.0.3, when built with PNET_OPTION_AR_VENDOR_BLOCKS enabled, parses a data length from a field of the ARVendorBlock request that is not part of the block definition and uses it as the number of bytes to copy into a fixed-size buffer, without comparing it with the buffer size or the block length. A crafted Connect request causes an out-of-bounds write. This can lead to a crash (denial of service) or potentially arbitrary code execution. This option is disabled by default. Thu 29 Oct

CVE-2026-72329 9.3 critical 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/liquidio: drop cached VF pci_dev LUT The PF SR-IOV enable path caches VF pci_dev pointers in dpiring_to_vfpcidev_lut[] by iterating with pci_get_device(). Those entries do not own a reference, because the iterator drops the previous device reference on each step. The cached pointer is then dereferenced later when handling OCTEON_VF_FLR_REQUEST. Replace the cached VF mapping with runtime lookup on the mailbox DPI ring: derive the VF index from q_no, resolve the VF via exported PCI IOV helpers, validate it with the PF pointer and VF ID, then issue pcie_flr() and drop the reference with pci_dev_put(). Remove the unused VF lookup table initialization and cleanup. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-64034 9.3 critical 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mana: Fix TOCTOU double-fetch of hwc_msg_id from DMA buffer In mana_hwc_rx_event_handler(), resp->response.hwc_msg_id is read from DMA-coherent memory and bounds-checked, then mana_hwc_handle_resp() re-reads the same field from the same DMA buffer for test_bit() and pointer arithmetic. DMA-coherent memory is mapped uncacheable on x86 and is shared, unencrypted, in Confidential VMs (SEV-SNP/TDX), so each load goes directly to host-visible memory. A H/W can modify the value between the check and the use, bypassing the bounds validation. Fix this by reading hwc_msg_id exactly once using READ_ONCE() into a stack-local variable in mana_hwc_rx_event_handler(), and passing the validated value as a parameter to mana_hwc_handle_resp(). 19 Oct
CVE-2026-64018 9.3 critical 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mana: validate rx_req_idx to prevent out-of-bounds array access In mana_hwc_rx_event_handler(), rx_req_idx is derived from sge->address in DMA-coherent memory. In Confidential VMs (SEV-SNP/TDX), this memory is shared unencrypted and HW can modify WQE contents at any time. No bounds check exists on rx_req_idx, which can lead to an out-of-bounds access into reqs[]. Add bounds check on rx_req_idx in mana_hwc_rx_event_handler() before using it to index the reqs[] array. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-90049 9.3 critical 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: skbuff: don't skb_tx_error() the source skb in skb_zerocopy() skb_zerocopy() copies frags from @from into @to. On an skb_orphan_frags() failure it calls skb_tx_error(@from), a destructive operation on the source skb the copy helper does not own. That completes @from's zerocopy uarg and clears SKBFL_ALL_ZEROCOPY, including the SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG page-ownership marker. Both callers already report the failure on their own drop path. nfnetlink_queue does it at nla_put_failure, and Open vSwitch does it in the flow-miss drop arm of ovs_dp_process_packet(), so nothing is lost by dropping it here. On Open vSwitch's OVS_ACTION_ATTR_USERSPACE path the skb is not freed on this error: do_execute_actions() ignores output_userspace()'s return value and, unless the upcall was the last action, keeps forwarding the same skb through the flow's remaining actions. The uarg is completed while that skb is still in flight, telling the producer its buffers are free, and SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG is cleared on an skb the rest of the stack still handles. That flag is what makes esp_input() call skb_cow_data() instead of decrypting in place, so a later local ESP delivery can decrypt over frags the skb does not own privately. Leave error reporting to the callers. 19 Oct

CVE-2026-74310 9.3 critical 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost/net: complete zerocopy ubufs only once vhost-net initializes one ubuf_info per outstanding zerocopy TX descriptor and hands it to the backend socket. The networking stack may then clone a zerocopy skb before all skb references are released. For example, batman-adv fragmentation reaches skb_split(), which calls skb_zerocopy_clone() and increments the same ubuf_info refcount. vhost_zerocopy_complete() currently treats every ubuf callback as a completed vhost descriptor. It dereferences ubuf->ctx, writes the descriptor completion state, and drops the vhost_net_ubuf_ref even when the callback only releases a cloned skb reference. A backend reset can therefore wait for and free the vhost_net_ubuf_ref while another cloned skb still carries the same ubuf_info. A later completion then dereferences the freed ubufs pointer. KASAN reports the stale completion as: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in vhost_zerocopy_complete+0x1d7/0x1f0 BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in vhost_zerocopy_complete+0x101/0x1f0 vhost_zerocopy_complete skb_copy_ubufs __dev_forward_skb2 veth_xmit The freed object was allocated from vhost_net_ioctl() while setting the backend and freed through kfree_rcu()/kvfree_rcu_bulk after backend removal, while delayed skb completion still reached vhost_zerocopy_complete(). Honor the generic ubuf_info refcount before touching vhost state, and run the vhost descriptor completion only for the final ubuf reference. This matches the msg_zerocopy_complete() ownership rule for cloned zerocopy skbs. 16 Oct
CVE-2025-61778 9.3 critical 0.00% no CPE yet Akka.NET is a .NET port of the Akka project from the Scala / Java community. In all versions of Akka.Remote from v1.2.0 to v1.5.51, TLS could be enabled via our `akka.remote.dot-netty.tcp` transport and this would correctly enforce private key validation on the server-side of inbound connections. Akka.Remote, however, never asked the outbound-connecting client to present ITS certificate - therefore it's possible for untrusted parties to connect to a private key'd Akka.NET cluster and begin communicating with it without any certificate. The issue here is that for certificate-based authentication to work properly, ensuring that all members of the Akka.Remote network are secured with the same private key, Akka.Remote needed to implement mutual TLS. This was not the case before Akka.NET v1.5.52. Those who run Akka.NET inside a private network that they fully control or who were never using TLS in the first place are now affected by the bug. However, those who use TLS to secure their networks must upgrade to Akka.NET V1.5.52 or later. One patch forces "fail fast" semantics if TLS is enabled but the private key is missing or invalid. Previous versions would only check that once connection attempts occurred. The second patch, a critical fix, enforces mutual TLS (mTLS) by default, so both parties must be keyed using the same certificate. As a workaround, avoid exposing the application publicly to avoid the vulnerability having a practical impact on one's application. However, upgrading to version 1.5.52 is still recommended by the maintainers. 9 Oct
CVE-2026-117666 9.1 critical — deadtrickster, ssl_verify_fun Improper Validation of Certificate with Host Mismatch vulnerability in deadtrickster ssl_verify_fun allows an adversary in the middle to impersonate a TLS peer via a certificate that carries a partial-label wildcard. try_match_wildcard/4 in src/ssl_verify_hostname.erl anchors only the text before and after the * of an identifier such as f*.example.net, so the wildcard also consumes dots and the certificate is accepted for f.evil.example.net. RFC 6125 confines a wildcard to the left-most label. The same matcher lets *.168.1.1 match the IP literal 192.168.1.1. Whole-label wildcards are matched correctly. Erlang/OTP 20.0 and later check the hostname in ssl before a user verify_fun sees valid_peer, so a client that keeps server_name_indication set rejects the mismatch regardless. Exposed are clients that disable SNI, servers that verify client certificate hostnames with this library, and direct callers of verify_cert_hostname/2. This issue affects ssl_verify_fun: from 1.0.1 before 1.1.8. 8 h ago

CVE-2026-98549 9.1 critical 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: prevent collapsing skbs across boundary in rtx queue tcp_write_collapse_fence() sets TCP_SKB_CB(skb)->eor = 1 on tcp_write_queue_tail(sk) to prevent skbs queued after a switch to device encryption from being collapsed into earlier skbs. The fence is a no-op if all earlier data has already been transmitted when the switch happens: sk->sk_write_queue is empty. The not yet acknowledged earlier skbs wait in sk->tcp_rtx_queue with eor 0. On a subsequent retransmit or SACK shift, tcp_retrans_try_collapse() or tcp_shift_skb_data() can then merge an skb queued after the switch into one queued before it. Both users of the fence are affected: - psp: devices only encrypt skbs with skb->decrypted set. The merged skb keeps decrypted = 0 from the earlier skb, so merged data sent after psp_sock_assoc_set_tx() is retransmitted in cleartext. - tls device offload: the merged skb straddles the start marker set in tls_set_device_offload(). The software fallback (fill_sg_in() returns -EINVAL) and the mlx5, nfp and funeth drivers cannot handle such an skb and drop it. Every retransmit rebuilds the same skb, so the connection stalls. Fix this in two places, for defense in depth: 1. Fall back to tcp_rtx_queue_tail(sk) in tcp_write_collapse_fence() when tcp_write_queue_tail(sk) is NULL. 2. Check !skb_cmp_decrypted(to, from) in tcp_skb_can_collapse(), as tcp_skb_can_collapse_rx() does on receive. skb_shift(), which both collapse paths call, already has a DEBUG_NET_WARN_ON_ONCE() for this condition. CVE-2026-74665 9.1 critical 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: fix skb length accounting after generic XDP frag adjustment Generic XDP exposes non-linear skb fragments through an xdp_buff. If an XDP program adjusts the fragment area, bpf_prog_run_generic_xdp() copies xdp_frags_size back to skb->data_len but leaves skb->len containing the old fragment contribution. After a fragment shrink, this makes skb_headlen() larger than the actual linear area. In the reproduced UDP receive path, __skb_datagram_iter() copied 1024 bytes past the actual linear tail to userspace, starting at struct skb_shared_info. The copied bytes included the affected skb's nr_frags, xdp_frags_size and a kernel pointer from skb_shinfo(skb)->frags[0]. Real packet data was displaced by the same amount and truncated at the end. Subtract the old data_len before replacing it and add the new data_len afterwards, keeping skb->len and skb->data_len synchronized. A 60000-byte UDP datagram on a veth pair with MTU 64000 was shortened by 1024 bytes from its fragment area. Before the fix, all 10 runs produced corrupted payloads. After the fix, all 10 runs matched the expected payload exactly. 14 Oct

CVE-2026-63923 8.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-af: validate body pcifunc in rvu_mbox_handler_rep_event_notify rvu_mbox_handler_rep_event_notify() in drivers/net/ethernet/marvell/ octeontx2/af/rvu_rep.c queues a sender-controlled REP_EVENT_NOTIFY request body verbatim, and rvu_rep_up_notify() then forwards event->pcifunc (the nested body field, distinct from the AF-normalised header pcifunc) into rvu_get_pfvf(), rvu_get_pf() and the AF->PF mailbox device index without any bounds check. A VF attached to a PF that has been put into switchdev representor mode reaches this path: the VF mailbox handler otx2_pfvf_mbox_handler() forwards every message id including MBOX_MSG_REP_EVENT_NOTIFY to AF without an allowlist, and the AF dispatcher rewrites only msg->pcifunc, leaving struct rep_event::pcifunc attacker-controlled. The sibling rvu_mbox_handler_esw_cfg() refuses requests whose header pcifunc is not rvu->rep_pcifunc; this handler has no equivalent gate. An out-of-range body pcifunc selects an &rvu->pf[]/&rvu->hwvf[] element past the allocated array and, for RVU_EVENT_MAC_ADDR_CHANGE, turns into a six-byte attacker-chosen OOB ether_addr_copy() target inside the queued worker; KASAN reports a slab-out-of-bounds write in rvu_rep_wq_handler. Reject malformed requests at the handler entry by gating on is_pf_func_valid(), which is already the canonical PF/VF range check in this driver; expose it via rvu.h so callers in rvu_rep.c can use it instead of open-coding the same range arithmetic. CVE-2026-63921 8.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ip6: vti: Use ip6_tnl.net in vti6_siocdevprivate(). After patch 1/2 in this series, vti6_update() unlinks and relinks the tunnel through t->net. vti6_siocdevprivate() still uses dev_net(dev) for the collision lookup. For a tunnel moved through IFLA_NET_NS_FD, dev_net(dev) is the new netns, not t->net. SIOCCHGTUNNEL on a migrated tunnel then runs: net = dev_net(dev) /* migrated netns */ t = vti6_locate(net, &p1, false) /* misses target in t->net */ ... t = netdev_priv(dev) vti6_update(t, &p1, false) /* mutates t->net's hash */ A caller in the migrated netns picks params that match a tunnel in the creation netns. The lookup in dev_net(dev) finds nothing. vti6_update() prepends the migrated tunnel at the head of the creation netns hash bucket for those params. Later lookups in the creation netns resolve to the migrated device. xfrm receive delivers the matched packets through a device the caller controls. Reachable from an unprivileged user namespace (unshare --user --map-root-user --net). Cross tenant scope on container hosts. Switch the SIOCCHGTUNNEL path on a non fallback device to use t->net for the lookup. The lookup now matches the netns vti6_update() operates on. Also add ns_capable(self->net->user_ns, CAP_NET_ADMIN) before the lookup. The check at the top of the case is against dev_net(dev)->user_ns, which after migration is the attacker's netns. A caller there can pick params absent from self->net, the lookup returns NULL, t becomes self, and vti6_update() inserts the device into the creation netns hash. The new check requires CAP_NET_ADMIN in the creation netns user_ns too. SIOCADDTUNNEL and SIOCCHGTUNNEL on the fallback device keep dev_net(dev), which equals init_net there. Tue 27 Oct

CVE-2026-79982 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet The Bluetooth HCI USB transport class of the new USB device stack, subsys/usb/device_next/class/bt_hci.c, copies every controller-to-host HCI packet into a USB transfer buffer before enqueuing it on an endpoint. bt_hci_tx_sync_in() allocated that buffer from bt_hci_ep_pool, a fixed pool whose slots are only USBD_MAX_BULK_MPS bytes (64 on full-speed-only builds), and then performed net_buf_add_mem(buf, bt_buf->data, bt_buf->len) with no length check. HCI event and ACL buffers are sized by CONFIG_BT_BUF_EVT_RX_SIZE and CONFIG_BT_BUF_ACL_RX_SIZE and can be far larger, so the copy runs past the end of the 64-byte slot into the adjacent slots and into whatever follows the statically allocated pool. The device runs the local Bluetooth controller in raw HCI mode (CONFIG_BT_HCI_RAW), so the oversized packets originate over the air. With the HCI buffer sizes recommended for full-featured controllers, an unauthenticated attacker within Bluetooth range can supply the overflowing bytes: a connected peer that negotiates Data Length Extension can send ACL fragments up to CONFIG_BT_CTLR_DATA_LENGTH_MAX bytes, and an attacker that merely broadcasts extended advertising data reaches the same path through LE Extended Advertising Report events, which the controller fragments only to CONFIG_BT_BUF_EVT_RX_SIZE. In the stock configuration the overflow is already reached without any radio traffic: the mandatory Read Supported Commands command-complete event is 70 bytes and overruns the 64-byte slot by six bytes on every host initialization. Because net_buf_add_mem() validates tailroom only through an assertion unless CONFIG_NET_BUF_HARDENING is enabled, builds with CONFIG_ASSERT=n — the usual production setting — silently corrupt memory adjacent to the USB buffer pool with attacker-chosen contents, which on a target without memory protection between subsystems can lead to arbitrary code execution. Builds with assertions enabled fail the assertion instead and panic, giving a remotely triggerable denial of service. The fix introduces a separate bt_hci_tx_pool sized to MAX(BT_BUF_ACL_RX_SIZE, BT_BUF_EVT_RX_SIZE) for the controller-to-host direction while leaving the host-to-device pool at the endpoint packet size, which is already bounds-checked during reassembly. CVE-2026-98374 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: fix use-after-free of retransmit_skb_hint in tcp_send_synack() When tcp_send_synack() replaces the cloned SYN skb at the head of the retransmit queue with a copy, it frees the original with tcp_rtx_queue_unlink_and_free() and only repairs tp->highest_sack. tp->retransmit_skb_hint keeps pointing at the freed skbuff_fclone_cache object. The dangling hint is read in tcp_verify_retransmit_hint() and used as the root of the rbtree walk in tcp_xmit_retransmit_queue(). An unprivileged TFO client (sendmsg(MSG_FASTOPEN)) can arm the hint with an attacker-supplied ICMP fragmentation-needed message, after which a simultaneous open frees the armed SYN skb: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in tcp_mark_skb_lost (net/ipv4/tcp_input.c:1316) Read of size 4 at addr ffff88800604d928 by task swapper/1/0 Call Trace: tcp_mark_skb_lost (net/ipv4/tcp_input.c:1316) tcp_simple_retransmit (net/ipv4/tcp_input.c:3158) tcp_v4_err (net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.c:587) Sync the hint to the copy. CVE-2023-28829 8.8 high 0.00% siemens, simatic_net_pc_software, simatic_pcs_7, simatic_wincc A vulnerability has been identified in SIMATIC NET PC Software V14 (All versions), SIMATIC NET PC Software V15 (All versions), SIMATIC PCS 7 V8.2 (All versions), SIMATIC PCS 7 V9.0 (All versions), SIMATIC PCS 7 V9.1 (All versions), SIMATIC WinCC (All versions < V8.0), SINAUT Software ST7sc (All versions). Before SIMATIC WinCC V8, legacy OPC services (OPC DA (Data Access), OPC HDA (Historical Data Access), and OPC AE (Alarms & Events)) were used per default. These services were designed on top of the Windows ActiveX and DCOM mechanisms and do not implement state-of-the-art security mechanisms for authentication and encryption of contents. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-13622 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet A symlink following vulnerability was found in KubeVirt's virt-handler migration proxy. During live migration, virt-handler dials Unix sockets inside the target virt-launcher pod via /proc/<pid>/root/ paths using net.Dial() without symlink protection. These socket paths reside in qemu-owned directories writable by the virt-launcher user. An attacker with namespace edit and pods/exec permissions can replace a migration proxy socket with a symlink to the host CRI-O socket. Because virt-handler runs as root in the host mount namespace, absolute symlink targets resolve against the host filesystem, and the bidirectional io.Copy proxy relays attacker-controlled bytes to the container runtime, enabling full node compromise. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-63831 8.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mac802154: llsec: add skb_cow_data() before in-place crypto llsec_do_encrypt_unauth(), llsec_do_encrypt_auth(), llsec_do_decrypt_unauth(), and llsec_do_decrypt_auth() all perform in-place cryptographic transformations on skb data. They build a scatterlist with sg_init_one() pointing into the skb's linear data area and then pass the same scatterlist as both src and dst to the crypto API (e.g. crypto_skcipher_encrypt/decrypt, crypto_aead_encrypt/decrypt). On the RX path, __ieee802154_rx_handle_packet() clones the received skb before handing it to each subscriber via ieee802154_subif_frame(). The cloned skb shares the same underlying data buffer via reference counting. When llsec_do_decrypt() subsequently modifies this shared buffer in place, it corrupts data that other clones -- potentially belonging to other sockets or subsystems -- still reference. On the TX path, similar data sharing can occur when an skb's head has been cloned (skb_cloned() returns true). The fix is to call skb_cow_data() before performing any in-place crypto operation. skb_cow_data() ensures that the skb's data area is not shared: if the skb head is cloned or the data spans multiple fragments, it copies the data into a private buffer that can be safely modified in place. This is the same pattern used by: - ESP (net/ipv4/esp4.c, net/ipv6/esp6.c) - MACsec (drivers/net/macsec.c) - WireGuard (drivers/net/wireguard/receive.c) - TIPC (net/tipc/crypto.c) Without this guard, in-place crypto on shared skb data leads to: - Silent data corruption of other skb clones - Use-after-free when the crypto API scatterwalk writes through a page that has already been freed by another clone's kfree_skb() - Kernel crashes under concurrent 802.15.4 traffic with security enabled (KASAN/KMSAN reports slab-use-after-free) Found by 0sec (https://0sec.ai) using automated source analysis. 22 Oct
CVE-2026-63829 8.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ip_gre: require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for changelink A tunnel changelink() operates on at most two netns, dev_net(dev) and the tunnel link netns t->net. They differ once the device is created in or moved to a netns other than the one the request runs in. The rtnl changelink path checks CAP_NET_ADMIN only against dev_net(dev), so a caller privileged there but not in t->net can rewrite a tunnel that lives in t->net. Add rtnl_dev_link_net_capable() next to rtnl_get_net_ns_capable() in net/core/rtnetlink.c. It requires CAP_NET_ADMIN in the link netns and is skipped when the link netns is dev_net(dev), where the rtnl path already checked it. The other patches in this series use the same helper. Gate ipgre_changelink() and erspan_changelink() with it, at the top of the op before any attribute is parsed, because the parsers update live tunnel fields first. ipgre_netlink_parms() sets t->collect_md before ip_tunnel_changelink() runs. Commit 8b484efd5cb4 ("ip6: vti: Use ip6_tnl.net in vti6_siocdevprivate().") added the same check on the ioctl path. This adds it on RTM_NEWLINK. 22 Oct
CVE-2026-68409 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: defer link RX stats percpu free to RCU sta_remove_link() frees a removed MLO link's RX stats percpu buffer right away, but defers only the link container to RCU: sta_info_free_link(&alloc->info); kfree_rcu(alloc, rcu_head); The RX fast path reads link_sta under rcu_read_lock and writes the percpu stats. A reader that resolved link_sta before the removal keeps the pointer. The container stays alive from the kfree_rcu, so the read still works. But the percpu block it points to is already freed. This needs uses_rss. That is when pcpu_rx_stats exists. The full STA teardown frees the deflink stats only after synchronize_net(). The link removal path had no such barrier. The race is hard to win in practice, but the free should still wait for RCU. Free the link together with its data from a single RCU callback, so the percpu block is reclaimed only after readers drain. 21 Oct

CVE-2026-72029 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: wwan: iosm: bound device offsets in the MUX downlink decoder mux_dl_adb_decode() walks a chain of aggregated datagram tables using offsets and lengths taken from the modem. first_table_index, next_table_index, table_length, datagram_index and datagram_length are all device supplied le values. Only first_table_index was checked, and only for being non zero. The decoder then formed adth = block + adth_index and read the table header and the datagram entries with no bound against the received skb. A modem that reports an index or a length past the downlink buffer makes the decoder read out of bounds. The buffer is IPC_MEM_MAX_DL_MUX_LITE_BUF_SIZE and skb->len is at most that, so skb->len is the real limit, but none of these in band offsets were checked against it. The table chain is also followed with no forward progress check. The loop takes the next table from adth->next_table_index and stops only when that reaches zero. A modem can stage two tables that point at each other, so the loop never ends. It runs in softirq and clones the skb on every pass. Validate every device offset and length against skb->len before use. The block header must fit. Each table header, on entry and after every next_table_index, must lie inside the skb. The datagram table must fit. Each datagram index and length must stay inside the skb. The header padding must not exceed the datagram length so the receive length does not wrap. Require each next_table_index to move forward so the chain cannot cycle. This was reproduced under KASAN as a slab out of bounds read on a normal downlink receive once the iosm net device is up. 19 Oct

CVE-2026-64178 8.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: bnep: Fix UAF read of dev->name bnep_add_connection() needs to keep holding the bnep_session_sem while reading dev->name (just like bnep_get_connlist() does); otherwise the bnep_session() thread can concurrently free the net_device, which can for example be triggered by a concurrent bnep_del_connection(). (This UAF is fairly uninteresting from a security perspective; calling bnep_add_connection() requires passing a capable(CAP_NET_ADMIN) check. It also requires completely tearing down a netdev during a fairly tight race window.) 19 Oct
CVE-2026-64109 8.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: Fix UAF read of tail->len in unix_stream_data_wait() unix_stream_data_wait() does skb_peek_tail(&sk->sk_receive_queue) without holding any lock that prevents SKBs on that queue from being dequeued and freed. This has been the case since commit 79f632c71bea ("unix/stream: fix peeking with an offset larger than data in queue"). The first consequence of this is that the pointer comparison `tail != last` can be false even if `last` semantically refers to an already-freed SKB while `tail` is a new SKB allocated at the same address; which can cause unix_stream_data_wait() to wrongly keep blocking after new data has arrived, but only in a weird scenario where a peeking recv() and a normal recv() on the same socket are racing, which is probably not a real problem. But since commit 2b514574f7e8 ("net: af_unix: implement splice for stream af_unix sockets"), `tail` is actually dereferenced, which can cause UAF in the following race scenario (where test_setup() runs single-threaded, and afterwards, test_thread1() and test_thread2() run concurrently in two threads: ``` static int socks[2]; void test_setup(void) { socketpair(AF_UNIX, SOCK_STREAM, 0, socks); send(socks[1], "A", 1, 0); int peekoff = 1; setsockopt(socks[0], SOL_SOCKET, SO_PEEK_OFF, &peekoff, sizeof(peekoff)); } void test_thread1(void) { char dummy; recv(socks[0], &dummy, 1, MSG_PEEK); } void test_thread2(void) { char dummy; recv(socks[0], &dummy, 1, 0); shutdown(socks[1], SHUT_WR); } ``` when racing like this: ``` thread1 thread2 unix_stream_read_generic mutex_lock(&u->iolock) skb_peek(&sk->sk_receive_queue) skb_peek_next(skb, &sk->sk_receive_queue) mutex_unlock(&u->iolock) unix_stream_read_generic unix_state_lock(sk) skb_peek(&sk->sk_receive_queue) unix_state_unlock(sk) unix_stream_data_wait unix_state_lock(sk) tail = skb_peek_tail(&sk->sk_receive_queue) spin_lock(&sk->sk_receive_queue.lock) __skb_unlink(skb, &sk->sk_receive_queue) spin_unlock(&sk->sk_receive_queue.lock) consume_skb(skb) [frees the SKB] `tail != last`: false `tail`: true `tail->len != last_len` ***UAF*** ``` Fix the UAF by removing the read of tail->len; checking tail->len would only make sense if SKBs in the receive queue of a UNIX socket could grow, which can no longer happen. Kuniyuki explained: > When commit 869e7c62486e ("net: af_unix: implement stream sendpage > support") added sendpage() support, data could be appended to the last > skb in the receiver's queue. > > That's why we needed to check if the length of the last skb was changed > while waiting for new data in unix_stream_data_wait(). > > However, commit a0dbf5f818f9 ("af_unix: Support MSG_SPLICE_PAGES") and > commit 57d44a354a43 ("unix: Convert unix_stream_sendpage() to use > MSG_SPLICE_PAGES") refactored sendmsg(), and now data is always added > to a new skb. That means this fix is not suitable for kernels before 6.5. 19 Oct

CVE-2025-40043 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: nfc: nci: Add parameter validation for packet data Syzbot reported an uninitialized value bug in nci_init_req, which was introduced by commit 5aca7966d2a7 ("Merge tag 'perf-tools-fixes-for-v6.17-2025-09-16' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/perf/perf-tools"). This bug arises due to very limited and poor input validation that was done at nic_valid_size(). This validation only validates the skb->len (directly reflects size provided at the userspace interface) with the length provided in the buffer itself (interpreted as NCI_HEADER). This leads to the processing of memory content at the address assuming the correct layout per what opcode requires there. This leads to the accesses to buffer of `skb_buff->data` which is not assigned anything yet. Following the same silent drop of packets of invalid sizes at `nic_valid_size()`, add validation of the data in the respective handlers and return error values in case of failure. Release the skb if error values are returned from handlers in `nci_nft_packet` and effectively do a silent drop Possible TODO: because we silently drop the packets, the call to `nci_request` will be waiting for completion of request and will face timeouts. These timeouts can get excessively logged in the dmesg. A proper handling of them may require to export `nci_request_cancel` (or propagate error handling from the nft packets handlers). 19 Oct
CVE-2025-40140 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: usb: Remove disruptive netif_wake_queue in rtl8150_set_multicast syzbot reported WARNING in rtl8150_start_xmit/usb_submit_urb. This is the sequence of events that leads to the warning: rtl8150_start_xmit() { netif_stop_queue(); usb_submit_urb(dev->tx_urb); } rtl8150_set_multicast() { netif_stop_queue(); netif_wake_queue(); <-- wakes up TX queue before URB is done } rtl8150_start_xmit() { netif_stop_queue(); usb_submit_urb(dev->tx_urb); <-- double submission } rtl8150_set_multicast being the ndo_set_rx_mode callback should not be calling netif_stop_queue and notif_start_queue as these handle TX queue synchronization. The net core function dev_set_rx_mode handles the synchronization for rtl8150_set_multicast making it safe to remove these locks. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-68432 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vxlan: require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for changelink A tunnel changelink() operates on at most two netns, dev_net(dev) and the sticky underlay netns vxlan->net. They differ once the device is created in or moved to a netns other than the one the request runs in. The rtnl changelink path checks CAP_NET_ADMIN only against dev_net(dev), so a caller privileged there but not in vxlan->net can rewrite a vxlan device whose underlay lives in vxlan->net. vxlan_changelink() validates and applies the new configuration against vxlan->net (vxlan_config_validate(vxlan->net, ...)) and can reopen the underlay socket in that netns, so the same reasoning as the tunnel changelink series applies here. Gate vxlan_changelink() with rtnl_dev_link_net_capable(), at the top of the op before any attribute is parsed, matching ipgre_changelink() and the rest of the "require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for changelink" series. Found by 0sec automated security-research tooling (https://0sec.ai). 19 Oct
CVE-2026-68397 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/iucv: take a reference on the socket found in afiucv_hs_rcv() afiucv_hs_rcv() looks up the destination socket under iucv_sk_list.lock, drops the lock, and then passes the socket to the afiucv_hs_callback_*() handlers without holding a reference. AF_IUCV sockets are not RCU-protected and are freed synchronously by iucv_sock_kill() -> sock_put(), so a concurrent close can free the socket in the window between read_unlock() and the handler, which then dereferences freed memory (for example sk->sk_data_ready() in afiucv_hs_callback_syn()). Take a reference with sock_hold() while the socket is still on the list and release it with sock_put() once the handler has run. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-68354 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firewire: net: Fix fragmented datagram reassembly fwnet_frag_new() keeps a sorted list of received fragments for a partial datagram. When a new fragment is adjacent to an existing fragment, the code checks whether the new fragment also closes the gap to the next or previous list entry. Those neighbor lookups currently assume that the current fragment always has a real next or previous fragment. At a list edge, the next or previous entry is the list head, not a struct fwnet_fragment_info. The gap checks also compare against the old edge of the current fragment instead of the edge after adding the new fragment. As a result, a fragment that bridges two existing ranges may leave two adjacent ranges unmerged, so fwnet_pd_is_complete() can miss a complete datagram. Check for the list head before looking up the neighboring fragment, and compare the neighbor against the new fragment's far edge when deciding whether to merge all three ranges. This issue was found by a static analysis checker and confirmed by manual source review. 19 Oct
