CVE-2026-91808 6.1 medium 0.00% foxit, pdf_editor, pdf_reader A heap-based out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in Foxit PDF Editor Reader’s handling of PDF image objects with inconsistent compression metadata. Insufficient validation during image decoding may result in an undersized buffer and an out-of-bounds read during rendering, causing an application crash. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-109256 6.0 medium 0.00% freerdp FreeRDP 3.10.0 through 3.32.2 contains a heap buffer overflow in the WinPR png_write_data callback that writes past the buffer after a realloc failure. A malicious RDP clipboard peer can supply a large CF_DIB image that triggers out-of-bounds memcpy during PNG conversion, causing a client crash. Tue 27 Oct
CVE-2026-17113 6.0 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in CRI-O's container-creation environment-variable handling (`mergeEnvs` in `server/utils.go`, consumed by `setupContainerEnvironmentAndWorkdir` in `server/container_create.go`). When a `CreateContainer` request supplies a `nil` CRI `Envs` field, CRI-O falls back to using the target OCI image's `config.Env` entries unfiltered, in contrast to the normal merge path, which validates each entry for a `key=value` form before use. An OCI image whose `config.Env` contains an entry with no `=` character (e.g. a bare `NOEQUALS` string) causes CRI-O to split that entry into a single-element slice and then index its second element, which is out of range. This triggers an unrecovered Go runtime panic in the `crio` daemon process, crashing it and terminating the container-runtime service for all workloads on the node until it is restarted. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-111555 6.0 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in luksmeta. Improper boundary validation of metadata slots allows an attacker capable of supplying or modifying a disk header to redirect wipe or load operations outside the intended metadata area. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by providing a crafted header with valid checksums to overwrite or zero out encrypted payload data, resulting in persistent data loss and corrupted storage. Exploitation typically requires privileged access to modify raw block devices or the ability to induce an administrator to process an untrusted disk image. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-34380 5.9 medium 0.00% openexr OpenEXR provides the specification and reference implementation of the EXR file format, an image storage format for the motion picture industry. From 3.2.0 to before 3.2.7, 3.3.9, and 3.4.9, a signed integer overflow exists in undo_pxr24_impl() in src/lib/OpenEXRCore/internal_pxr24.c at line 377. The expression (uint64_t)(w * 3) computes w * 3 as a signed 32-bit integer before casting to uint64_t. When w is large, this multiplication constitutes undefined behavior under the C standard. On tested builds (clang/gcc without sanitizers), two's-complement wraparound commonly occurs, and for specific values of w the wrapped result is a small positive integer, which may allow the subsequent bounds check to pass incorrectly. If the check is bypassed, the decoding loop proceeds to write pixel data through dout, potentially extending far beyond the allocated output buffer. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.2.7, 3.3.9, and 3.4.9. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-42643 5.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in StellarWP Image Widget image-widget allows Stored XSS.This issue affects Image Widget: from n/a through <= 4.4.11. 26 Oct
CVE-2026-48953 5.9 medium 0.00% joomla, joomla\! Lack of escaping leads to an XSS vulnerability in the generic image output layout. 25 Oct
CVE-2026-65534 5.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Author Cross Site Scripting (XSS) in Custom links in Elementor Image Carousel <= 1.1.1 versions. 24 Oct
CVE-2026-76787 5.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet The UpdateHub firmware-over-the-air client parses the CoAP probe response with Zephyr's JSON library in z_impl_updatehub_probe() (subsys/mgmt/updatehub/updatehub.c). The decoder treats every descriptor field as optional — json_obj_parse() returns a bitmask of the fields it actually decoded and never fails on a missing one — so a response that omits the "sha256sum" string leaves the corresponding const char * in the zero-initialised struct resp_probe_any_boards / struct resp_probe_some_boards at NULL. Both metadata branches then computed sha256size = strlen(...objects.sha256sum) + 1 before any validation, dereferencing that NULL pointer; the SHA256_HEX_DIGEST_SIZE test that follows operates on a value the bad read has already produced and cannot prevent it. The metadata is supplied entirely by the network peer: probe_cb() accepts the datagram, runs coap_packet_parse() and copies the payload with no token matching and no cryptographic check. With CONFIG_UPDATEHUB_DTLS unset — the default — start_coap_client() uses plain CoAP over UDP on port 5683 with no peer authentication and resolves the server via unauthenticated DNS, so an on-path attacker, a DNS spoofer, or an off-path attacker who wins the race with a forged source address can deliver the malformed metadata. A probe response as simple as "objects":[[{}],[{}]] suffices, and no user interaction is required because updatehub_autohandler() polls on CONFIG_UPDATEHUB_POLL_INTERVAL. When CONFIG_UPDATEHUB_DTLS=y the trigger narrows to a malicious or compromised update server. The primitive is a read at address zero, not a write, so the impact is availability only. On targets where the low address range is unmapped or protected — MMU-based architectures, builds with CONFIG_NULL_POINTER_EXCEPTION_DETECTION_DWT/_MPU/_PMP, TrustZone non-secure images, and SoCs such as nRF54L whose 0x0–0x400 window is unmapped — the load faults and Zephyr's default fatal handler halts the system, giving a remotely re-triggerable denial of service on every poll. On classic Cortex-M targets where the vector table is readable at address zero the walk usually terminates immediately and the request is rejected by the length check, so the outcome is configuration- and SoC-dependent. There is no memory write, and the copied bytes are only compared against the locally computed image hash, so there is no information-disclosure channel. The fix adds an explicit sha256sum == NULL test that returns UPDATEHUB_METADATA_ERROR ahead of the strlen() in both metadata branches. Debug builds (CONFIG_UPDATEHUB_LOG_LEVEL=4) still format the same pointers with %s in a LOG_DBG() loop that runs before the new checks, so that variant remains in debug configurations only. 20 Oct
CVE-2025-61589 5.9 medium 0.00% anysphere, cursor Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions 1.6 and below, Mermaid (a to render diagrams) allows embedding images which then get rendered by Cursor in the chat box. An attacker can use this to exfiltrate sensitive information to a third-party attacker controlled server through an image fetch after successfully performing a prompt injection. A malicious model (or hallucination/backdoor) might also trigger this exploit at will. This issue requires prompt injection from malicious data (web, image upload, source code) in order to exploit. In that case, it can send sensitive information to an attacker-controlled external server. Some additional bypasses not covered in the initial fix to this issue were discovered, see GHSA-43wj-mwcc-x93p. This issue is fixed in version 1.7. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-114609 5.8 medium 0.00% no CPE yet fpdf2 is a PDF creation library for Python. Prior to 2.8.8, fpdf2's shared image loader automatically dereferences attacker-controlled HTTP(S) URLs and raw local paths supplied through FPDF.image(), FPDF.write_html() HTML <img src> values, SVG <image href> or xlink:href values, and template image fields. This can cause outbound requests to attacker-selected internal or external services and local file open attempts, although local content is exposed only when it is a valid supported image or SVG resource. file:// URLs are not specially handled, so the local-path case requires a raw filesystem path. This issue is fixed in version 2.8.8. Thu 29 Oct
CVE-2026-70654 5.8 medium 0.00% no CPE yet libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs. Prior to version 8.18.3, applications that define unusual custom libvips sources and use them to process untrusted uncompressed PPM images can trigger a max/min error in vips_source_read_to_memory in libvips/iofuncs/source.c. The function uses VIPS_MAX instead of VIPS_MIN when selecting the remaining read size, allowing up to 4032 bytes to be written beyond the allocated heap buffer and causing memory corruption or a process crash. This issue is fixed in version 8.18.3. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-105743 5.8 medium 0.00% docling Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem. From 2.91.0 until 2.132.0, validate_url_safety in docling/backend/utils/image_resource_loader.py validates a hostname with a single IPv4 lookup and then allows the HTTP client to resolve and parse the original URL again, permitting DNS rebinding, mixed public and internal address records, and backslash authority parser disagreement to reach internal services. HTMLBackendOptions(render_page=True) also allows HTTP and HTTPS browser requests without validating their resolved destination. Exploitation requires remote fetching to be enabled, and response content is exposed only when it is decoded as an image or passively rendered in a page screenshot. This issue is fixed in 2.132.0. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-11835 5.7 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Time-of-check time-of-use (TOCTOU) vulnerability combined with missing input validation in Caliptra Core ROM (UpdateResetFlow::run()) in subsystem mode allows a compromised local attacker to silently bypass secure boot by supplying an AXI staging address that is not validated against the strap-configured SS_EXTERNAL_STAGING_AREA_BASE_ADDR, enabling firmware to be modified between verification and loading into ICCM. Attestation continues to report the originally verified image digest, masking the compromise. Exploitation requires a compromised MCU firmware with AXI manager access to unprotected SRAM reachable by Caliptra. This issue affects Core ROM: 2.1.0 through 2.1.1. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-118693 5.6 medium 0.00% no CPE yet CherryTree through 1.7.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability in CtStorageXmlHelper::_create_image_from_xml that trusts unvalidated embedded-file 'filename' attributes in XML documents. Attackers can craft a .ctd, .ctz, or .ctx document with an absolute or ~/ filename and no data, so saving embeds files like ~/.ssh/id_rsa into the document. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2025-8871 5.6 medium 0.00% no CPE yet The Everest Forms (Pro) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 1.9.7 via deserialization of untrusted input in the mime_content_type() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject a PHP Object. This vulnerability may be exploited by unauthenticated attackers when a form is present on the site with a non-required signature form field along with an image upload field. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software, which means this vulnerability has no impact unless another plugin or theme containing a POP chain is installed on the site. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it may allow the attacker to perform actions like delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code depending on the POP chain present. This vulnerability is only exploitable in PHP versions prior to 8. 18 Oct
CVE-2026-50381 5.5 medium 0.00% microsoft, windows 10 version 21h2, windows 10 version 22h2, windows 11 version 24h2 Access of resource using incompatible type ('type confusion') in Composite Image File System Driver allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. 15 h ago

CVE-2026-42146 5.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet CImg Library is a C++ library for image processing. Prior to commit c3aacf5, the nb_colors field read from the BMP file header is used directly to compute an allocation size without validating it against the remaining file size. A crafted BMP file with a large nb_colors value triggers an out-of-memory condition, crashing any application that uses CImg to load untrusted BMP files. This issue has been patched via commit c3aacf5. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-42442 5.5 medium 0.00% m2team, nanazip NanaZip is an open source file archive. From 5.0.1252.0 to before 6.0.1698.0, a null-pointer dereference exists in the UFS/UFS2 filesystem image parser in NanaZip. The vulnerability is triggered when opening a crafted UFS image where the root inode (inode 2) is set to IFLNK (symlink) instead of IFDIR (directory). The parser unconditionally treats the root inode as a directory without checking its type, and when the symlink has an embedded target (small di_size), the directory data buffer is zero-length, causing a null-pointer dereference on the first read. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.0.1698.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-42443 5.5 medium 0.00% m2team, nanazip NanaZip is an open source file archive. From 5.0.1252.0 to before 6.0.1698.0, an integer divide-by-zero exists in the UFS/UFS2 filesystem image parser in NanaZip. The vulnerability is triggered when opening a crafted UFS image where the superblock field fs_ipg (inodes per cylinder group) is set to zero. The parser uses this attacker-controlled value as a divisor without validation, causing an immediate hardware trap and process crash. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.0.1698.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-42444 5.5 medium 0.00% m2team, nanazip NanaZip is an open source file archive. From 5.0.1252.0 to before 6.0.1698.0, a denial-of-service vulnerability exists in the littlefs filesystem image parser in NanaZip. The handler's Open method reads BlockCount directly from the attacker-controlled superblock without any validation against the actual file size or any upper-bound ceiling, then iterates BlockCount times, allocating a file-path entry per iteration. A crafted 44-byte littlefs image with BlockCount = 0xFFFFFFFF causes ~4 billion heap allocations, exhausting available memory. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.0.1698.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-42445 5.5 medium 0.00% m2team, nanazip NanaZip is an open source file archive. From 5.0.1252.0 to before 6.0.1698.0, an uncontrolled recursion vulnerability exists in the UFS/UFS2 filesystem image parser in NanaZip. The function GetAllPaths recurses into subdirectories without any depth limit or visited-inode tracking. A crafted UFS image with a deep directory tree or an inode cycle causes stack exhaustion, crashing the NanaZip process. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.0.1698.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-116256 5.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability was found in geesondog RhaPHP up to 7ae639ccf8dcb627faace096d030bd4cb4cfb905. Affected by this vulnerability is the function image of the file application/mp/controller/Show.php of the component Mp Module Media Proxy. The manipulation of the argument url results in server-side request forgery. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. This product operates on a rolling release basis, ensuring continuous delivery. Consequently, there are no version details for either affected or updated releases. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-43996 5.5 medium 0.00% openimageio OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.18.0 and 3.1.13.0, the bounds check in TGAInput::decode_pixel computes k + palbytespp as unsigned 32-bit arithmetic. When k = 0xFFFFFFFC and palbytespp = 4, the addition wraps to 0, which compares less than palette_alloc_size and passes the check. The subsequent palette access uses the unwrapped k (0xFFFFFFFC) as the index, reading ~4 GB past the start of the palette buffer — SEGV. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.0.18.0 and 3.1.13.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-10645 5.5 medium 0.00% zephyrproject, zephyr The Zephyr ext2 filesystem driver (subsys/fs/ext2) trusted the on-disk directory entry fields de_rec_len and de_name_len when walking a directory block. ext2_fetch_direntry() guarded only with de_name_len > EXT2_MAX_FILE_NAME, but de_name_len is a uint8_t and EXT2_MAX_FILE_NAME is 255, so the check is always false; the function then memcpy'd up to 255 name bytes and the lookup/readdir paths advanced traversal by an unvalidated de_rec_len. Each directory block is read into a block_size-sized slab buffer, and block_off can be driven near the block end by preceding entries' rec_len, so the 8-byte header read and the subsequent name memcpy can read up to ~263 bytes past the end of the block buffer into adjacent heap/slab memory. On the readdir path those bytes are returned to the caller in fs_dirent.name, leaking adjacent kernel heap memory; a de_rec_len of 0 also causes a zero-progress infinite loop (denial of service), and the unlink path's memmove(de, next, next_reclen) over unvalidated records is an additional OOB read/write source. The defect is reached by any path-based operation (open, stat, unlink, rename, mkdir) or directory listing on a mounted ext2 volume, so a crafted or corrupted ext2 image on attacker-supplied storage (SD card, USB mass storage, or otherwise mounted image) triggers it. Affected: Zephyr ext2 from its introduction in v3.5.0 through v4.4.0. The fix validates rec_len and name_len in the parser and rejects entries whose header does not fit the remaining block or whose rec_len crosses the block boundary in every traversal caller. 25 Oct
CVE-2026-0643 5.5 medium 0.00% projectworlds, house_rental_and_property_listing_project A flaw has been found in projectworlds House Rental and Property Listing 1.0. Impacted is an unknown function of the file /app/register.php?action=reg of the component Signup. This manipulation of the argument image causes unrestricted upload. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been published and may be used. 25 Oct
CVE-2026-41155 5.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet An attacker could cooperatively pass data from one secure GPU process to another secure GPU process through shared secure memory allocations in the kernel module. Additionally, an attacker could disrupt the operation of another secure GPU process leading to image corruption / GPU hardware recovery. Sharing secure memory allocations among various GPU secure processes allows an attacker to corrupt shared resource affecting other users. 25 Oct
CVE-2026-47748 5.5 medium 0.00% leejet, stable-diffusion.cpp stable-diffusion.cpp is a pure C/C++ library for running diffusion model (Stable Diffusion, Flux, Wan, Qwen Image, Z-Image, and more) inference. Versions prior to master-584-0a7ae07 are vulnerable to an out-of-bounds reads error through PyTorch checkpoint pickle opcode parsing. The pickle .ckpt parser in src/model.cpp did not consistently check that enough input remained before reading opcode arguments or advancing the parser buffer with a crafted or truncated .ckpt file. Throughout the pickle parser, opcode handlers advanced the parser position with expressions such as buffer += N without first checking that buffer + N <= buffer_end. A truncated file could therefore cause reads past the end of the metadata buffer. LibFuzzer found crashes in under one second using malformed checkpoint inputs. Any application using affected stable-diffusion.cpp releases to load untrusted .ckpt model files could be vulnerable. The attack requires the victim or application to load a .ckpt file from an untrusted source, such as a downloaded model from a model sharing site. This issue has been fixed in version master-584-0a7ae07. If developers are unable to immediately update their applications, they can work around this issue by ensuring they do not load .ckpt checkpoint files from untrusted sources. They should prefer trusted model sources and safer formats such as .safetensors where possible. 25 Oct
CVE-2026-13553 5.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw has been found in itsourcecode Online Hotel Management System 1.0. CVE-2026-7405 5.5 medium 0.00% autodesk, advance_steel, autocad, autocad_architecture A maliciously crafted TIF file, when parsed through certain Autodesk products during image import, can cause an Out-of-Bounds Read in the image handling library. A malicious actor can leverage this vulnerability to cause a denial of service 24 Oct
CVE-2026-115424 5.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in the OpenShift client oc. When extracting container image layers with oc image extract, the application fails to properly sanitize symbolic and hard link targets pointing to absolute paths or to sibling directories of the extraction destination. An attacker who supplies a malicious container image can exploit this vulnerability by embedding links, and a chained file entry, that reference locations outside the intended extraction directory. This allows the attacker to write attacker-controlled content to arbitrary locations on the host filesystem with the privileges of the user running the command, potentially leading to file modification outside the destination directory. 23 Oct
CVE-2025-38701 5.5 medium 0.00% linux, debian, linux_kernel, debian_linux In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: do not BUG when INLINE_DATA_FL lacks system.data xattr A syzbot fuzzed image triggered a BUG_ON in ext4_update_inline_data() when an inode had the INLINE_DATA_FL flag set but was missing the system.data extended attribute. Since this can happen due to a maiciouly fuzzed file system, we shouldn't BUG, but rather, report it as a corrupted file system. Add similar replacements of BUG_ON with EXT4_ERROR_INODE() ii ext4_create_inline_data() and ext4_inline_data_truncate(). 19 Oct
CVE-2025-39903 5.5 medium 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: of_numa: fix uninitialized memory nodes causing kernel panic When there are memory-only nodes (nodes without CPUs), these nodes are not properly initialized, causing kernel panic during boot. of_numa_init of_numa_parse_cpu_nodes node_set(nid, numa_nodes_parsed); of_numa_parse_memory_nodes In of_numa_parse_cpu_nodes, numa_nodes_parsed gets updated only for nodes containing CPUs. Memory-only nodes should have been updated in of_numa_parse_memory_nodes, but they weren't. CVE-2026-23128 5.5 medium 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: Set __nocfi on swsusp_arch_resume() A DABT is reported[1] on an android based system when resume from hiberate. This happens because swsusp_arch_suspend_exit() is marked with SYM_CODE_*() and does not have a CFI hash, but swsusp_arch_resume() will attempt to verify the CFI hash when calling a copy of swsusp_arch_suspend_exit(). Given that there's an existing requirement that the entrypoint to swsusp_arch_suspend_exit() is the first byte of the .hibernate_exit.text section, we cannot fix this by marking swsusp_arch_suspend_exit() with SYM_FUNC_*(). The simplest fix for now is to disable the CFI check in swsusp_arch_resume(). Mark swsusp_arch_resume() as __nocfi to disable the CFI check. CVE-2025-71161 5.5 medium 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-verity: disable recursive forward error correction There are two problems with the recursive correction: 1. It may cause denial-of-service. In fec_read_bufs, there is a loop that has 253 iterations. For each iteration, we may call verity_hash_for_block recursively. There is a limit of 4 nested recursions - that means that there may be at most 253^4 (4 billion) iterations. Red Hat QE team actually created an image that pushes dm-verity to this limit - and this image just makes the udev-worker process get stuck in the 'D' state. 2. It doesn't work. In fec_read_bufs we store data into the variable "fio->bufs", but fio bufs is shared between recursive invocations, if "verity_hash_for_block" invoked correction recursively, it would overwrite partially filled fio->bufs. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-89088 5.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in parted. A heap-based buffer overflow exists in libparted's file system resizing logic when handling FAT16 volumes. By convincing a user or administrator to resize a specially crafted FAT16 file system image with malformed directory metadata, an attacker can trigger an oversized read into a fixed-size memory buffer. This issue causes memory corruption, resulting in an application crash and a denial of service (DoS). 19 Oct
CVE-2026-98159 5.5 medium 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7921: validate CLC firmware records The CLC region is supplied by firmware, but the loader trusts the region count and each record length. A malformed image can make the region table pointer precede the firmware buffer, make the record loop fail to advance, or index phy->clc past its end. Validate the table and record bounds before dereferencing or copying. 19 Oct
CVE-2023-53526 5.5 medium 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jbd2: check 'jh->b_transaction' before removing it from checkpoint Following process will corrupt ext4 image: Step 1: jbd2_journal_commit_transaction __jbd2_journal_insert_checkpoint(jh, commit_transaction) // Put jh into trans1->t_checkpoint_list journal->j_checkpoint_transactions = commit_transaction // Put trans1 into journal->j_checkpoint_transactions Step 2: do_get_write_access test_clear_buffer_dirty(bh) // clear buffer dirty, set jbd dirty __jbd2_journal_file_buffer(jh, transaction) // jh belongs to trans2 Step 3: drop_cache journal_shrink_one_cp_list jbd2_journal_try_remove_checkpoint if (!trylock_buffer(bh)) // lock bh, true if (buffer_dirty(bh)) // buffer is not dirty __jbd2_journal_remove_checkpoint(jh) // remove jh from trans1->t_checkpoint_list Step 4: jbd2_log_do_checkpoint trans1 = journal->j_checkpoint_transactions // jh is not in trans1->t_checkpoint_list jbd2_cleanup_journal_tail(journal) // trans1 is done Step 5: Power cut, trans2 is not committed, jh is lost in next mounting. Fix it by checking 'jh->b_transaction' before remove it from checkpoint. 15 Oct
CVE-2022-50440 5.5 medium 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: Validate the box size for the snooped cursor Invalid userspace dma surface copies could potentially overflow the memcpy from the surface to the snooped image leading to crashes. To fix it the dimensions of the copybox have to be validated against the expected size of the snooped cursor. 15 Oct
CVE-2025-71267 5.5 medium 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: ntfs3: fix infinite loop triggered by zero-sized ATTR_LIST We found an infinite loop bug in the ntfs3 file system that can lead to a Denial-of-Service (DoS) condition. A malformed NTFS image can cause an infinite loop when an ATTR_LIST attribute indicates a zero data size while the driver allocates memory for it. When ntfs_load_attr_list() processes a resident ATTR_LIST with data_size set to zero, it still allocates memory because of al_aligned(0). This creates an inconsistent state where ni->attr_list.size is zero, but ni->attr_list.le is non-null. This causes ni_enum_attr_ex to incorrectly assume that no attribute list exists and enumerates only the primary MFT record. When it finds ATTR_LIST, the code reloads it and restarts the enumeration, repeating indefinitely. The mount operation never completes, hanging the kernel thread. This patch adds validation to ensure that data_size is non-zero before memory allocation. When a zero-sized ATTR_LIST is detected, the function returns -EINVAL, preventing a DoS vulnerability. 15 Oct
