CVE-2026-87690exploit 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet The Metasploit Framework post module post/apple_ios/gather/ios_image_gather is affected by a relative path traversal vulnerability (CWE-22). The module interpolates file names taken from a Meterpreter directory listing — data fully controlled by a hostile or tampered iOS device — directly into the local destination path passed to client.fs.file.download_file(), with no sanitization. The underlying stdapi sink (lib/rex/post/meterpreter/extensions/stdapi/fs/file.rb) writes to whatever path is supplied, so a listing entry such as ../../msfconsole.rc escapes the intended ~/.msf4/loot/<random> directory and overwrites ~/.msf4/msfconsole.rc, a resource file that every msfconsole invocation automatically executes at startup (lib/msf/ui/console/driver.rb:196). An attacker-controlled device that lures an operator into running this gather module achieves an arbitrary file write as the operator; because the written msfconsole.rc can load a second written file (a Ruby plugin whose top-level code runs on require), this converts into persistent code execution and an interactive shell as the operator (frequently root) on the pentester's workstation at the next console launch. The same traversal was previously fixed upstream in the recursive downloader (stdapi/fs/dir.rb scrubs separators); this module omitted the equivalent scrub. The fix applies the same separator scrub (or File.basename) to listing entries before building the local path. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-105772 9.1 critical 1.0% no CPE yet Path Traversal (CWE-22) in FileArtifactService in Google ADK TypeScript (@google/adk) versions 0.4.0 before 0.6.0 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to read files matching the artifact directory layout or write files (when an agent tool invokes saveArtifact) outside the intended artifact storage root via crafted relative or percent-encoded path traversal sequences (such as ../ or ..%2F) in the userId or sessionId parameters when the ADK API server is exposed with the non-default FileArtifactService enabled. Applications using the default InMemoryArtifactService are unaffected. Upgrade to @google/adk version 0.6.0 or later. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-33929 4.3 medium 1.0% apache, pdfbox Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Apache PDFBox Examples. This issue affects the ExtractEmbeddedFiles example in Apache PDFBox: from 2.0.24 through 2.0.36, from 3.0.0 through 3.0.7. Users are recommended to update to version 2.0.37 or 3.0.8 once available. Until then, they should apply the fix provided in GitHub PR 427. The ExtractEmbeddedFiles example contained a path traversal vulnerability (CWE-22) mentioned in CVE-2026-23907. However the change in the releases 2.0.36 and 3.0.7 is flawed because it doesn't consider the file path separator. Because of that, a user having writing rights on /home/ABC could be victim to a malicious PDF resulting in a write attempt to any path starting with /home/ABC, e.g. "/home/ABCDEF". Users who have copied this example into their production code should apply the mentioned change. The example has been changed accordingly and is available in the project repository. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-104025 8.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet Path Traversal (CWE-22) in the execute_obj function of the archive object viewer (peach.pas) in PeaZip 11.2.0 and earlier on Windows allows an attacker who convinces a victim to preview an entry of a crafted archive via the "Preview with... -> Associated application" action (Shift+Ctrl+O) to execute an arbitrary program already present on the victim's system, with no warning dialog. The function validates only outname (PeaZip's own temporary directory) with checkfiledirname, while the string actually executed is the concatenation outname+tempstring; tempstring is taken verbatim from the archive entry name (StringGridList.Cells[12,...]) and is never validated. checkfiledirname (list_utils.pas) rejects control and reserved characters in the file name but performs no ".." path-containment check, so an entry named ../../../../Windows/System32/calc.exe escapes the extraction directory and is passed to cp_open -> ShellExecuteW; the extracting backend (7-Zip) strips the traversal while the opener does not. In addition, the SECEXTCONST dangerous-extension confirmation prompt is implemented only in the double-click handler (grid_obj_open) and not on this preview route, so an executable inside an archive reaches ShellExecuteW unannounced, and where the prompt does fire it names the entry's display name rather than the resolved path that will run. Arbitrary code execution was demonstrated with a proof of concept against official PeaZip builds, confirmed on two archive formats (.zip and .tar) to show the defect is in PeaZip's own path handling and not in a single format parser. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-19594 8.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet Insufficient input sanitization in Snowflake Python API (`snowflake.core`) versions prior to 1.13.0 allowed confused-deputy privilege escalation through two related weaknesses: path traversal (CWE-22) via unencoded `..` identifier path segments, and HTTP parameter pollution (CWE-141) via unencoded `&`/`#`/`=` characters in query string values. An attacker with access to a downstream application built on snowflake.core could exploit the path traversal by supplying `..` as an object name, causing `snowflake.core` to issue REST requests against a parent resource or exploit the parameter pollution by injecting `&`/`#`/`=` into a free-form name field to override constraints on swap, clone, or rename operations — all executed under the application's privileged session. Successful exploitation requires the attacker to control an identifier or object-name string in an application built on snowflake.core that passes it to `snowflake.core` under a higher-privileged Snowflake session (e.g., an EXECUTE AS OWNER stored procedure, Streamlit app, or Native App). The fix is available in Snowflake Python API version 1.13.0, which also addresses several additional security findings. Users must manually upgrade. Fri 23 Oct

CVE-2025-53951 7.8 high 0.00% fortinet, fortidlp_agent An Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability [CWE-22] in Fortinet FortiDLP Agent's Outlookproxy plugin for Windows 11.5.1 and 11.4.2 through 11.4.6 and 11.3.2 through 11.3.4 and 11.2.0 through 11.2.3 and 11.1.1 through 11.1.2 and 11.0.1 and 10.5.1 and 10.4.0, and 10.3.1 may allow an authenticated attacker to escalate their privilege to LocalService via sending a crafted request to a local listening port. 9 Oct
CVE-2025-54658 7.8 high 0.00% fortinet, fortidlp_agent An Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability [CWE-22] in Fortinet FortiDLP Agent's Outlookproxy plugin for MacOS 11.5.1 and 11.4.2 through 11.4.6 and 11.3.2 through 11.3.4 and 11.2.0 through 11.2.3 and 11.1.1 through 11.1.2 and 11.0.1 and 10.5.1 and 10.4.0, and 10.3.1 may allow an authenticated attacker to escalate their privilege to Root via sending a crafted request to a local listening port. 9 Oct
CVE-2025-11565 7.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability exists that could cause elevated system access when a Web Admin user on the local network tampers with the POST /REST/UpdateJRE request payload. 18 Oct
CVE-2026-7819 7.2 high 0.00% pgadmin, pgadmin_4 Symbolic-link path traversal (CWE-61, CWE-22) in pgAdmin 4 File Manager. check_access_permission used os.path.abspath, which resolves '..' but does not resolve symbolic links, while the subsequent kernel write follows symlinks. An authenticated user could plant a symbolic link inside their own storage directory pointing outside it and induce pgAdmin to write to any path reachable by the pgAdmin process. Fix switches the access check to os.path.realpath for both source and destination, and adds an _open_upload_target helper that opens the target with O_NOFOLLOW (mode 0o600) to close the leaf-component TOCTOU between the access check and the open. File mode is hardened from 0o644 to 0o600. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.15. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-6865 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory (“Path Traversal”) vulnerability that could cause unauthorized access to sensitive files when user-supplied input is improperly handled during server-side file path processing. Mon 26 Oct
