CVE-2026-106498 7.7 high 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage_plugin-catalog-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 3.5.1, 3.6.2, 3.7.2, 3.8.2 and 3.9.1, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend package is affected by improper url validation in catalog entity placeholder resolution. An authenticated Backstage user could craft a catalog entity with placeholder directives that reference resources outside the entity's source repository. Under certain configurations, this could allow access to data not intended to be available to the user. This issue is fixed in versions 3.5.1, 3.6.2, 3.7.2, 3.8.2 and 3.9.1. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-106458 6.5 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-catalog-backend-module-bitbucket-server, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. From 0.4.0 until 0.5.15, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend-module-bitbucket-server package is affected by inconsistent repository filtering in bitbucket server catalog event updates. Deployments using event-driven updates in the Bitbucket Server catalog provider may ingest catalog locations from repositories that are excluded by the provider's configured project, repository, or archived-repository filters. An authenticated Bitbucket Server user who can push to a filtered-out repository that remains readable by the configured Backstage integration can trigger a legitimate repository event. The affected event path may then add a Location for that repository even though scheduled discovery excludes it. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.15. Tue 27 Oct
CVE-2026-115923 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 3.9.2 and from 4.0.0 until 4.0.2, DefaultCatalogRulesEnforcer in @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend compares the raw location.target URL against catalog.rules, while URL readers canonicalize the same URL before fetching it. An authenticated user with catalog.location.create permission can use percent-encoded path segments to make an untrusted URL match a trusted location pattern even though the canonical URL resolves outside that scope. This admits entity content from an untrusted source as trusted, while further downstream consequences depend on deployment configuration. This issue is fixed in versions 3.9.2 and 4.0.2. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-106496 6.5 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage_plugin-catalog-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 3.9.1, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend package is affected by inconsistent enforcement of allowed location types during catalog processing. Under certain configurations, the catalog backend could process location types that were not intended to be allowed, potentially leading to unintended file access on the backend host. This issue is fixed in version 3.9.1. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-106463 5.4 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-catalog-backend-module-gitlab, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.8.7, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend-module-gitlab package is affected by improper authorization in gitlab organizational user ingestion. Deployments that enable GitLab organization event ingestion and rely on scoped catalog users as an access boundary may admit an unintended catalog identity. Depending on sign-in and permission configuration, this may allow unauthorized access with the permissions of a standard authenticated user. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.7. 22 Oct
CVE-2026-44374 4.3 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-catalog-backend-module-unprocessed, backstage\/plugin-catalog-unprocessed-entities, backstage\/plugin-catalog-unprocessed-entities-common Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.6.11, the unprocessed entities read endpoints in @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend-module-unprocessed do not enforce permission authorization checks. Any authenticated user can access unprocessed entity records regardless of ownership. This is an information disclosure vulnerability affecting Backstage installations using this module. This is patched in @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend-module-unprocessed version 0.6.11, @backstage/plugin-catalog-unprocessed-entities-common version 0.0.15 and @backstage/plugin-catalog-unprocessed-entities version 0.2.30. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-106497 4.3 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage_plugin-catalog-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 3.9.1, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend package is affected by inconsistent catalog property permission evaluation. In deployments that use affected value-based catalog permission conditions as a confidentiality boundary, an authenticated user could receive catalog entity data that policy authors intended to restrict. This issue is fixed in version 3.9.1. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-106493 4.1 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage, backstage\/backend-defaults, backstage\/plugin-catalog-backend-module-aws Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.54.6, cloud storage catalog providers did not sufficiently validate object paths. A principal able to create or rename objects in a configured Azure Blob Storage or AWS S3 catalog source could cause catalog descriptors to be read from outside the intended storage boundary, limited to locations reachable with the backend's configured credentials. This issue is fixed in 1.54.6. 22 Oct
