CVE-2019-18276exploit ×2 7.8 high 3.0% gnu, netapp, bash, hci_management_node, oncommand_unified_manager An issue was discovered in disable_priv_mode in shell.c in GNU Bash through 5.0 patch 11. By default, if Bash is run with its effective UID not equal to its real UID, it will drop privileges by setting its effective UID to its real UID. However, it does so incorrectly. On Linux and other systems that support "saved UID" functionality, the saved UID is not dropped. An attacker with command execution in the shell can use "enable -f" for runtime loading of a new builtin, which can be a shared object that calls setuid() and therefore regains privileges. However, binaries running with an effective UID of 0 are unaffected. 14 Oct
CVE-2024-58294 8.7 high 4.0% sangoma, freepbx FreePBX 16 contains an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability in the API module that allows attackers with valid session credentials to execute arbitrary commands. Attackers can exploit the 'generatedocs' endpoint by crafting malicious POST requests with bash command injection to establish remote shell access. Tue 27 Oct
CVE-2021-32751 7.5 high 3.0% gradle Gradle is a build tool with a focus on build automation. In versions prior to 7.2, start scripts generated by the `application` plugin and the `gradlew` script are both vulnerable to arbitrary code execution when an attacker is able to change environment variables for the user running the script. This may impact those who use `gradlew` on Unix-like systems or use the scripts generated by Gradle in thieir application on Unix-like systems. For this vulnerability to be exploitable, an attacker needs to be able to set the value of particular environment variables and have those environment variables be seen by the vulnerable scripts. This issue has been patched in Gradle 7.2 by removing the use of `eval` and requiring the use of the `bash` shell. There are a few workarounds available. For CI/CD systems using the Gradle build tool, one may ensure that untrusted users are unable to change environment variables for the user that executes `gradlew`. If one is unable to upgrade to Gradle 7.2, one may generate a new `gradlew` script with Gradle 7.2 and use it for older versions of Gradle. Fpplications using start scripts generated by Gradle, one may ensure that untrusted users are unable to change environment variables for the user that executes the start script. A vulnerable start script could be manually patched to remove the use of `eval` or the use of environment variables that affect the application's command-line. If the application is simple enough, one may be able to avoid the use of the start scripts by running the application directly with Java command. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-48168 10.0 critical 2.0% no CPE yet PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. In versions prior to 4.6.40, the bundled Claude GitHub Actions workflow is vulnerable to command injection because it embeds an attacker-controlled pull request branch name into a Bash run: block without quoting or validation. Additionally, the workflow allows any @claude comment to trigger the job regardless of whether the commenter is a trusted collaborator. An outside contributor can open a pull request from a fork whose branch name contains shell metacharacters and comment @claude, causing Bash to execute arbitrary shell code in the GitHub Actions runner. Because these commands run in a job holding a GitHub App token with write permissions, OIDC access, and gh/git access, the injection can be chained through $GITHUB_PATH to compromise later privileged steps, enabling repository writes, pull request and issue manipulation, or OIDC-token abuse. This issue has been fixed in version 4.6.40. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-5974 6.9 medium 2.0% deepwisdom, metagpt A vulnerability was determined in FoundationAgents MetaGPT up to 0.8.1. The affected element is the function Bash.run in the library metagpt/tools/libs/terminal.py. This manipulation causes os command injection. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The project was informed of the problem early through a pull request but has not reacted yet. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-105697 9.9 critical 1.0% no CPE yet Langflow is a tool for building and deploying AI-powered agents and workflows. Before Langflow 1.10.3, the MCP stdio transport launched whatever command / args a user put in an MCP server configuration, with no allowlist and (before 1.10.3) wrapped in bash -c "exec {command} ...". Any user able to reach the MCP server settings ("Settings → MCP Servers → Add MCP Server", POST/PATCH /api/v2/mcp/servers/{server_name}) or to build a flow with the MCP Tools component could add a "server" whose command is an arbitrary OS command (touch, rm -rf, a reverse shell, ...). The command runs on the Langflow host as the Langflow process user as soon as Langflow tries to connect to the server (listing servers, loading tools, running the flow) — even when the UI then reports that the stdio server failed to start. With the default LANGFLOW_AUTO_LOGIN=true, GET /api/v1/auto_login hands out a token without credentials, so on an exposed instance running the default configuration this is reachable without an account. AUTO_LOGIN is documented as a development-only setting; with it disabled, any authenticated (non-admin) user can exploit it. This issue is fixed in Langflow 1.10.3, langflow-base 0.10.3, and lfx 1.10.3. 9 Oct
CVE-2026-41497 9.8 critical 1.0% praison, praisonai PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to version 4.6.9, the fix for PraisonAI's MCP command handling does not add a command allowlist or argument validation to parse_mcp_command(), allowing arbitrary executables like bash, python, or /bin/sh with inline code execution flags to pass through to subprocess execution. This issue has been patched in version 4.6.9. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-98959 9.8 critical 1.0% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix xattr replace when multiple xattrs are packed in the same item If we have a btrfs_dir_item item that packs multiple xattrs and then we replace the value of one of them (with the setxattr(2) family of syscalls) with another value of a different size, we end up not having a fully initialized btrfs_dir_item, resulting in a corruption that the tree checker will detect at extent buffer writeback time. This is because in btrfs_setxattr() when we find a btrfs_dir_item with multiple xattrs (due to the crc32c hash of their name being the same) we delete one of the xattr items (btrfs_dir_item) and then insert a new one, but the deletion and insertion results in shifting existing data in the leaf and therefore when the new value of a xattr has a different size, the new btrfs_dir_item is placed in a leaf section that was not initialized and we only copy the value's data and set the value's length in the new btrfs_dir_item, without setting the name, the name's length, the key (which must be all zeroes for xattrs), flags (BTRFS_FT_XATTR) and transaction ID. The following script reproduces the issue: $ cat test.sh #!/bin/bash DEV=/dev/sdi MNT=/mnt/sdi mkfs.btrfs -f $DEV mount $DEV $MNT touch $MNT/testfile # Add two xattrs that, on btrfs, have the same hash (crc32c) for their # name and therefore are packed into the same btrfs_dir_item. setfattr -n user.foobar -v 123 $MNT/testfile setfattr -n user.WvG1c1Td -v qwerty $MNT/testfile # Verify the xattrs are present. echo "xattrs before:" getfattr --absolute-names --dump $MNT/testfile # Now replace the value of the foobar xattr with a significantly larger # value. setfattr -n user.foobar -v abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz $MNT/testfile # Check the xattrs have the expected values. echo "xattrs after:" getfattr --absolute-names --dump $MNT/testfile umount $MNT Running it: $ ./test.sh (...) xattrs before: # file: /mnt/sdi/testfile user.WvG1c1Td="qwerty" user.foobar="123" xattrs after: # file: /mnt/sdi/testfile user.WvG1c1Td="qwerty" So the "user.foobar" xattr is missing and there was a transaction abort when unmounting the fs with the following traces in dmesg: $ dmesg [869800.159271] BTRFS warning (device sdi): access to eb bytenr 30474240 len 16384 out of range start 16015 len 25964 [869800.159293] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [869800.159296] WARNING: fs/btrfs/extent_io.c:4408 at report_eb_range+0x44/0x60 [btrfs], CPU#8: getfattr/2605179 [869800.168961] Modules linked in: btrfs dm_thin_pool (...) CVE-2023-54344 9.3 critical 1.0% no CPE yet Eclipse Equinox OSGi 3.7.2 and earlier contains a remote code execution vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary commands by sending payloads to the console interface. Attackers can connect to the OSGi console port and send base64-encoded bash commands wrapped in fork directives to achieve code execution and establish reverse shell connections. 7 h ago
CVE-2026-34977 9.3 critical 1.0% aperisolve Aperi'Solve is an open-source steganalysis web platform. In versions 3.1.3 through 3.2.0, when uploading a JPEG, a user can specify an optional password to accompany the JPEG. This password is then directly passed into an expect command, which is then subsequently passed into a bash -c command, without any form of sanitization or validation. An unauthenticated attacker can achieve root-level RCE inside the worker container with a single HTTP request, enabling full read/write access to all user-uploaded images, analysis results, and plaintext steganography passwords stored on disk. Because the container shares a Docker network with PostgreSQL and Redis (no authentication on either), the attacker can pivot to dump the entire database or manipulate the job queue to poison results for other users. If Docker socket mounting or host volume mounts are present, this could escalate to full host compromise. This would also include defacement of the website itself. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.2.1. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-77932 9.3 critical 1.0% no CPE yet DB-GPT through 0.8.2 contains an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability because the /api/v1/chat/react-agent endpoint relies on a mock get_user_from_headers function that grants every caller the admin role. Unauthenticated attackers can send prompts that make the ReAct agent's unsandboxed code_interpreter and shell_interpreter tools run arbitrary Python or bash as root in the webserver container, including reaching the bundled database with default credentials. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-86002 9.0 critical 1.0% no CPE yet Dokku is a docker-powered platform as a service. In Dokku versions before 0.38.25, a user with app-level Dokku access and remote SSH access to execute docker-options commands can store arbitrary strings through the docker-options plugin, and those strings are later concatenated into DOCKER_ARGS and processed by Bash eval during build, deploy, or run operations. Shell command substitutions in the stored values are interpreted on the host, allowing arbitrary command execution with the privileges of the dokku operating-system user. This issue is fixed in version 0.38.25. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-109428 8.7 high 1.0% no CPE yet Mistral Vibe before 2.25.5 contains a permission validation bypass vulnerability that allows attackers to execute unauthorized commands by exploiting a parsing discrepancy between tree-sitter-bash and bash in handling backslash-newline line continuations in the _extract_commands() function of bash.py. Attackers can craft a command string where tree-sitter-bash extracts only an allowlisted prefix such as cd while bash joins the line continuation into a materially different and hidden command such as a curl request, causing resolve_permission to grant ALWAYS permission while bash executes unauthorized arbitrary commands. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-73614 8.7 high 1.0% no CPE yet Network-AI ClaudeHookBridge before 5.15.1 truncates the target string to 500 characters before evaluating denyPatterns, while Claude Code executes the full untruncated command. Attackers can position dangerous content past byte 500 in a Bash command field to bypass the operator's hard-deny list and execute arbitrary commands. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-109440 8.7 high 1.0% no CPE yet LangAlpha through 2026.09.07 contains an indirect prompt injection vulnerability that allows remote attackers to execute shell commands or Python by planting instructions in web content retrieved by the agent. Because Bash and ExecuteCode lack an allow-list and human-in-the-loop approval, attackers can run code in the workspace sandbox and exfiltrate vault secrets from _internal/.vault_secrets.json. Thu 22 Oct
CVE-2026-109429 8.7 high 1.0% no CPE yet Mistral Vibe before 2.25.4 contains a command permission gate bypass vulnerability that allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands by hiding a command substitution inside a single-quoted variable value that tree-sitter-bash static parsing cannot detect. Attackers can craft input such as embedding a command substitution within a single-quoted variable and re-expanding it with the ${var@P} prompt-transform operator so bash's promptvars feature executes the hidden command at runtime while only the trailing allowlisted command is classified, resulting in silent arbitrary command execution with the privileges of the agent's terminal session. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-82026 8.7 high 1.0% no CPE yet Radar before 1.12.2 contains a missing authorization vulnerability in the handleLocalTerminal WebSocket endpoint (/api/local-terminal) that allows authenticated or unauthenticated attackers to spawn a privileged shell by relying only on a runtime-mode check instead of role-based access control. Attackers can connect to the endpoint to execute /bin/bash -l on the Radar host with Radar's own kubeconfig and process credentials injected into the shell environment, achieving remote code execution with Radar's privileges even when the --disable-local-terminal flag is set. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-17497 8.3 high 1.0% notegen NoteGen before 0.32.0 grants the Tauri shell plugin shell:allow-execute capability for bash, python, and python3 with arbitrary arguments in the default desktop capabilities. JavaScript running in the application webview can therefore invoke plugin:shell|execute to run attacker-controlled operating system commands with the privileges of the NoteGen process. In combination with script execution in the webview (for example via chat XSS), this enables full remote code execution on the user's machine. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-45152 7.8 high 1.0% no CPE yet uniget is a universal installer and updater for (container) tools. Prior to 0.27.1, a command injection vulnerability exists in uniget due to unsafe execution of the check field from metadata files using /bin/bash -c. Because the check field is loaded directly from untrusted JSON metadata without validation or sanitization, an attacker can craft malicious metadata that executes arbitrary shell commands on the victim’s system when common uniget operations such as describe, install, update, or inspect are performed. This vulnerability can lead to arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the user running uniget. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.27.1. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-109560 7.7 high 1.0% no CPE yet Continue CLI (@continuedev/cli) through 1.5.47 contains a permission bypass vulnerability that allows attackers to run unapproved commands by chaining them after allowed Bash prefix rules. Attackers can inject instructions into repository files or fetched pages so the agent appends commands after ;, && or | to execute code as the user. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-110204 7.7 high 1.0% roocode, roo_code Roo Code through 3.54.0 contains a command approval bypass vulnerability that allows attackers to run denied shell commands because parseCommandLine() treats ${ command; } substitutions as parameter expansions. Attackers using indirect prompt injection can embed denied commands inside an allowlisted command like echo to execute them without user approval on bash 5.3+ or ksh93. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-68096 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: audit: fix recursive locking deadlock in audit_dupe_exe() A deadlock occurs in the audit subsystem when duplicating executable-related rules. When a file is moved (e.g., via do_renameat2()), the VFS layer locks the parent directory (I_MUTEX_PARENT), which synchronously triggers an fsnotify_move event. If an existing executable audit rule matches the file being moved, the audit subsystem catches this event and calls audit_dupe_exe() to duplicate the watch and update the rule. Then, audit_alloc_mark() would call kern_path_parent() to resolve the path, leading to a blind attempt to acquire the exact same I_MUTEX_PARENT lock already held by the task, resulting in the following recursive locking deadlock: ============================================ WARNING: possible recursive locking detected 6.12.0-55.27.1.el10_0.x86_64+debug #1 Not tainted -------------------------------------------- mv/5099 is trying to acquire lock: ffff888132845358 (&inode->i_sb->s_type->i_mutex_dir_key/1){+.+.}-{3:3}, at: __kern_path_locked+0x10a/0x2f0 but task is already holding lock: ffff888132846b58 (&inode->i_sb->s_type->i_mutex_dir_key/1){+.+.}-{3:3}, at: lock_two_directories+0x13f/0x2b0 other info that might help us debug this: Possible unsafe locking scenario: CPU0 ---- lock(&inode->i_sb->s_type->i_mutex_dir_key/1); lock(&inode->i_sb->s_type->i_mutex_dir_key/1); *** DEADLOCK *** May be due to missing lock nesting notation 6 locks held by mv/5099: #0: ffff888112a9c440 (sb_writers#13) at: do_renameat2+0x34c/0xbc0 #1: ffff888112a9c790 (&type->s_vfs_rename_key#3) at: do_renameat2+0x415/0xbc0 #2: ffff888132846b58 (&inode->i_sb->s_type->i_mutex_dir_key/1) at: lock_two_directories+0x13f/0x2b0 #3: ffff888132845358 (&inode->i_sb->s_type->i_mutex_dir_key/5) at: lock_two_directories+0x175/0x2b0 #4: ffffffffb3a1fb10 (&fsnotify_mark_srcu) at: fsnotify+0x454/0x28a0 #5: ffffffffaf886230 (audit_filter_mutex) at: audit_update_watch+0x36/0x11e0 stack backtrace: Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl+0x6f/0xb0 print_deadlock_bug.cold+0xbd/0xca validate_chain+0x83a/0xf00 __lock_acquire+0xcac/0x1d20 lock_acquire.part.0+0x11b/0x360 down_write_nested+0x9f/0x230 __kern_path_locked+0x10a/0x2f0 kern_path_locked+0x26/0x40 audit_alloc_mark+0xfb/0x4f0 audit_dupe_exe+0x6c/0xe0 audit_dupe_rule+0x6c2/0xc00 audit_update_watch+0x4cc/0x11e0 audit_watch_handle_event+0x12c/0x1b0 send_to_group+0x5d0/0x8b0 fsnotify+0x615/0x28a0 fsnotify_move+0x1d8/0x630 vfs_rename+0xdcd/0x1df0 do_renameat2+0x9d4/0xbc0 __x64_sys_renameat+0x192/0x260 do_syscall_64+0x92/0x180 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e RIP: 0033:0x7f0491fe8c4e Code: 0f 1f 40 00 48 8b 15 c1 e1 16 00 f7 d8 64 89 02 b8 ff ff ff ff c3 66 0f 1f 44 00 00 f3 0f 1e fa 49 89 ca b8 08 01 00 00 0f 05 <48> 3d 00 f0 ff ff 77 0a c3 66 0f 1f 84 00 00 00 00 00 48 8b 15 89 RSP: 002b:00007ffc7210bf38 EFLAGS: 00000246 ORIG_RAX: 0000000000000108 RAX: ffffffffffffffda RBX: 0000000000000000 RCX: 00007f0491fe8c4e RDX: 0000000000000003 RSI: 00007ffc7210e6c8 RDI: 00000000ffffff9c RBP: 0000000000000000 R08: 0000000000000000 R09: 0000000000000001 R10: 00005575eb2dae2a R11: 0000000000000246 R12: 00005575eb2dae2a R13: 00007ffc7210e6c8 R14: 0000000000000003 R15: 00000000ffffff9c </TASK> The aforementioned deadlock can be consistently reproduced by running the script below: audit-dupe-exe-deadlock.sh -------------------------- #!/bin/bash auditctl -D mkdir -p /tmp/foo touch /tmp/file auditctl -a always, exit -F exe=/tmp/file -F path=/tmp/file -S all -k dr mv /tmp/file /tmp/foo/file rm -Rf /tmp/foo This patch fixes the issue by introducing struct audit_watch_ctx to pass the fsnotify event context down to audit_alloc_mark(). CVE-2026-105791 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet Microsoft UFO is an open-source framework for intelligent automation across devices and platforms. Prior to 3.0.9, the run_shell tool in the CommandLineExecutor component of ufo/client/mcp/local_servers/cli_mcp_server.py validates only the first token of the bash_command parameter and permits explorer.exe. On Windows, explorer.exe delegates its following path argument to ShellExecute, so an attacker-influenced agent call can launch an arbitrary executable or script as the desktop user even though the subprocess uses shell=False. Exploitation depends on a user running an affected agent workflow and on inducing the tool call, but successful execution can access or modify that user's files, tokens, and sessions. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.9. 9 Oct
CVE-2026-5208 7.2 high 1.0% coolercontrol, coolercontrold Command injection in alerts in CoolerControl/coolercontrold <4.0.0 allows authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code as root via injected bash commands in alert names Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-40089 9.9 critical 0.00% sonicverse, radio_audio_streaming_stack Sonicverse is a Self-hosted Docker Compose stack for live radio streaming. The Sonicverse Radio Audio Streaming Stack dashboard contains a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in its API client (apps/dashboard/lib/api.ts). Installations created using the provided install.sh script (including the one‑liner bash <(curl -fsSL https://sonicverse.short.gy/install-audiostack)) are affected. In these deployments, the dashboard accepts user-controlled URLs and passes them directly to a server-side HTTP client without sufficient validation. An authenticated operator can abuse this to make arbitrary HTTP requests from the dashboard backend to internal or external systems. This vulnerability is fixed with commit cb1ddbacafcb441549fe87d3eeabdb6a085325e4. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-34430 8.6 high 0.00% deerflow ByteDance DeerFlow versions prior to commit 92c7a20 contain a sandbox escape vulnerability in bash tool handling that allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands on the host system by bypassing regex-based validation using shell features such as directory changes and relative paths. Attackers can exploit the incomplete shell semantics modeling to read and modify files outside the sandbox boundary and achieve arbitrary command execution through subprocess invocation with shell interpretation enabled. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2025-61958 8.5 high 0.00% f5, big-ip_access_policy_manager, big-ip_advanced_firewall_manager, big-ip_advanced_web_application_firewall A vulnerability exists in the iHealth command that may allow an authenticated attacker with at least a resource administrator role to bypass tmsh restrictions and gain access to a bash shell. For BIG-IP systems running in Appliance mode, a successful exploit can allow the attacker to cross a security boundary. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-57860 8.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet ForgeCode (tailcallhq/forgecode), an AI pair-programming CLI, automatically loads and executes the MCP servers defined in a repository's .mcp.json file on startup without user confirmation. A malicious repository can supply a crafted .mcp.json whose mcpServers entries specify arbitrary command and args values (for example, command: bash with args: ['-c', 'touch /tmp/pwned']). When a user runs the forge CLI inside a cloned untrusted repository, the specified commands are spawned with the invoking user's privileges, resulting in arbitrary code execution. CVE-2026-107814 8.4 high 0.00% mariadb MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, MariaDB RPM packages created the dedicated mysql service account with the database data directory as its home directory. A database user with the FILE privilege could write startup dot-files such as .bash_profile into $HOME, and those files could execute when an administrator opened a login shell for the mysql account. Debian packages are not affected because they use /nonexistent as the account home. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-45369 8.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet python-utcp is the python implementation of UTCP. Prior to 1.1.3, the _substitute_utcp_args method in cli_communication_protocol.py inserts user-controlled tool_args values directly into shell command strings without any sanitization or escaping. These commands are then executed via /bin/bash -c (Unix) or powershell.exe -Command (Windows), allowing an attacker to inject arbitrary shell commands. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.1.3. CVE-2026-6442 8.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet Improper validation of bash commands in Snowflake Cortex Code CLI versions prior to 1.0.25 allowed subsequent commands to execute outside the sandbox. An attacker could exploit this by embedding specially crafted commands in untrusted content, such as a malicious repository, causing the CLI agent to execute arbitrary code on the local device without user consent. Exploitation is non-deterministic and model-dependent. The fix is automatically applied upon relaunch with no user action required. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-76072 8.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet The Continue CLI applies an incomplete denylist as its only barrier to destructive shell commands when running unattended. In headless mode and auto mode the default policy in extensions/cli/src/permissions/defaultPolicies.ts grants the Bash tool the allow permission, and permissionChecker.ts hard-blocks a command only when the terminal-security evaluator returns a disabled verdict, so isCriticalCommand in packages/terminal-security/src/evaluateTerminalCommandSecurity.ts is the sole control. Its dangerous-path test matches only /, /*, ~, ~/*, /usr, /etc, /bin and /sbin and their prefixes, so a recursive forced removal of /home, /root, /var, /opt or /srv is not disabled. The command line is parsed with shell-quote, which reduces $HOME to an empty token, so rm -rf $HOME also fails the dangerous-path test while the shell re-expands the variable when the command is spawned. find with -delete is rated high risk rather than disabled, and shred, wipefs, truncate and pkexec are not handled. Because the agent autonomously reads content it does not control, including fetched web pages, repository files and issue text, an indirect prompt injection in that content can cause an unattended run to destroy the invoking user's data. 12 Oct
CVE-2026-113776 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet virtualenv is a tool for creating isolated virtual python environments. From 20.26.6 until 21.14.2, ViaTemplateActivator.instantiate_template() replaces placeholders one key at a time across the complete activation template, so trigger names such as __VIRTUAL_NAME__, __VIRTUAL_ENV__, or __VIRTUAL_PROMPT__ inside an already substituted and quoted environment path or prompt can be replaced during a later pass. The later value's quoting can close the earlier literal and execute the remaining path when a user activates the environment through bash, fish, xonsh, or activate_this.py. The distinct csh prompt-display token __VIRTUAL_PROMPT_DISPLAY_TCSH__ can instead break the generated script without establishing command execution. The attacker must influence the destination path or --prompt, and a value without a relevant placeholder name does not trigger this mechanism. This issue is fixed in version 21.14.2. 11 h ago
CVE-2026-113726 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet virtualenv is a tool for creating isolated virtual python environments. Prior to 21.13.0, the bash activate script that zsh also sources leaves the environment name unescaped; from 21.13.0 until 21.14.4, it escapes backslashes, dollar signs, and backticks only when BASH_VERSION is set, so zsh receives the raw value. The script assigns that value to PS1. In zsh with PROMPT_SUBST, an attacker-influenced environment directory, --prompt, or VIRTUALENV_PROMPT value containing command, parameter, or arithmetic expansion syntax can therefore execute commands in the user's shell each time the prompt is drawn. A percent sign is separately interpreted as a zsh prompt escape but does not by itself execute commands. Plain zsh with PROMPT_SUBST disabled and bash are not affected by this mechanism. This issue is fixed in version 21.14.4. Tue 27 Oct
CVE-2026-54555 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet rtk filters and compresses command outputs before they reach your LLM context. Prior to 0.42.2, the permission splitter did not conservatively split or reject several shell constructs that Bash treats as command execution boundaries or nested execution. As a result, a command beginning with an allowed prefix such as git could hide a second command behind one of these constructs. rtk rewrite returned exit code 0, causing the Claude hook to emit permissionDecision: "allow". The rewritten command still contained the hidden command, so it ran without the user confirmation or denial that the permission rules were intended to enforce. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.42.2. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-113725 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet virtualenv is a tool for creating isolated virtual python environments. Prior to 21.14.7, the bash activate script escapes the environment name for only one of the two passes bash makes over PS1, so a backslash in the name undoes the escaping and a name containing \$(...) runs as commands in the user's shell each time bash draws the prompt. This issue is fixed in version 21.14.7. Thu 22 Oct
CVE-2025-39944 7.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-pf: Fix use-after-free bugs in otx2_sync_tstamp() The original code relies on cancel_delayed_work() in otx2_ptp_destroy(), which does not ensure that the delayed work item synctstamp_work has fully completed if it was already running. This leads to use-after-free scenarios where otx2_ptp is deallocated by otx2_ptp_destroy(), while synctstamp_work remains active and attempts to dereference otx2_ptp in otx2_sync_tstamp(). Furthermore, the synctstamp_work is cyclic, the likelihood of triggering the bug is nonnegligible. A typical race condition is illustrated below: CPU 0 (cleanup) | CPU 1 (delayed work callback) otx2_remove() | otx2_ptp_destroy() | otx2_sync_tstamp() cancel_delayed_work() | kfree(ptp) | | ptp = container_of(...); //UAF | ptp-> //UAF This is confirmed by a KASAN report: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __run_timer_base.part.0+0x7d7/0x8c0 Write of size 8 at addr ffff88800aa09a18 by task bash/136 ... CVE-2025-68183 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ima: don't clear IMA_DIGSIG flag when setting or removing non-IMA xattr Currently when both IMA and EVM are in fix mode, the IMA signature will be reset to IMA hash if a program first stores IMA signature in security.ima and then writes/removes some other security xattr for the file. For example, on Fedora, after booting the kernel with "ima_appraise=fix evm=fix ima_policy=appraise_tcb" and installing rpm-plugin-ima, installing/reinstalling a package will not make good reference IMA signature generated. Instead IMA hash is generated, # getfattr -m - -d -e hex /usr/bin/bash # file: usr/bin/bash security.ima=0x0404... This happens because when setting security.selinux, the IMA_DIGSIG flag that had been set early was cleared. As a result, IMA hash is generated when the file is closed. Similarly, IMA signature can be cleared on file close after removing security xattr like security.evm or setting/removing ACL. Prevent replacing the IMA file signature with a file hash, by preventing the IMA_DIGSIG flag from being reset. Here's a minimal C reproducer which sets security.selinux as the last step which can also replaced by removing security.evm or setting ACL, #include <stdio.h> #include <sys/xattr.h> #include <fcntl.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <string.h> #include <stdlib.h> int main() { const char* file_path = "/usr/sbin/test_binary"; const char* hex_string = "030204d33204490066306402304"; int length = strlen(hex_string); char* ima_attr_value; int fd; fd = open(file_path, O_WRONLY|O_CREAT|O_EXCL, 0644); if (fd == -1) { perror("Error opening file"); return 1; } ima_attr_value = (char*)malloc(length / 2 ); for (int i = 0, j = 0; i < length; i += 2, j++) { sscanf(hex_string + i, "%2hhx", &ima_attr_value[j]); } if (fsetxattr(fd, "security.ima", ima_attr_value, length/2, 0) == -1) { perror("Error setting extended attribute"); close(fd); return 1; } const char* selinux_value= "system_u:object_r:bin_t:s0"; if (fsetxattr(fd, "security.selinux", selinux_value, strlen(selinux_value), 0) == -1) { perror("Error setting extended attribute"); close(fd); return 1; } close(fd); return 0; } 15 Oct
CVE-2023-53560 7.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing/histograms: Add histograms to hist_vars if they have referenced variables Hist triggers can have referenced variables without having direct variables fields. This can be the case if referenced variables are added for trigger actions. In this case the newly added references will not have field variables. Not taking such referenced variables into consideration can result in a bug where it would be possible to remove hist trigger with variables being refenced. This will result in a bug that is easily reproducable like so $ cd /sys/kernel/tracing $ echo 'synthetic_sys_enter char[] comm; long id' >> synthetic_events $ echo 'hist:keys=common_pid.execname,id.syscall:vals=hitcount:comm=common_pid.execname' >> events/raw_syscalls/sys_enter/trigger $ echo 'hist:keys=common_pid.execname,id.syscall:onmatch(raw_syscalls.sys_enter).synthetic_sys_enter($comm, id)' >> events/raw_syscalls/sys_enter/trigger $ echo '!hist:keys=common_pid.execname,id.syscall:vals=hitcount:comm=common_pid.execname' >> events/raw_syscalls/sys_enter/trigger [ 100.263533] ================================================================== [ 100.264634] BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in resolve_var_refs+0xc7/0x180 [ 100.265520] Read of size 8 at addr ffff88810375d0f0 by task bash/439 [ 100.266320] [ 100.266533] CPU: 2 PID: 439 Comm: bash Not tainted 6.5.0-rc1 #4 [ 100.267277] Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS 1.16.0-20220807_005459-localhost 04/01/2014 [ 100.268561] Call Trace: [ 100.268902] <TASK> [ 100.269189] dump_stack_lvl+0x4c/0x70 [ 100.269680] print_report+0xc5/0x600 [ 100.270165] ? resolve_var_refs+0xc7/0x180 [ 100.270697] ? kasan_complete_mode_report_info+0x80/0x1f0 [ 100.271389] ? resolve_var_refs+0xc7/0x180 [ 100.271913] kasan_report+0xbd/0x100 [ 100.272380] ? resolve_var_refs+0xc7/0x180 [ 100.272920] __asan_load8+0x71/0xa0 [ 100.273377] resolve_var_refs+0xc7/0x180 [ 100.273888] event_hist_trigger+0x749/0x860 [ 100.274505] ? kasan_save_stack+0x2a/0x50 [ 100.275024] ? kasan_set_track+0x29/0x40 [ 100.275536] ? __pfx_event_hist_trigger+0x10/0x10 [ 100.276138] ? ksys_write+0xd1/0x170 [ 100.276607] ? do_syscall_64+0x3c/0x90 [ 100.277099] ? entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x6e/0xd8 [ 100.277771] ? destroy_hist_data+0x446/0x470 [ 100.278324] ? event_hist_trigger_parse+0xa6c/0x3860 [ 100.278962] ? __pfx_event_hist_trigger_parse+0x10/0x10 [ 100.279627] ? __kasan_check_write+0x18/0x20 [ 100.280177] ? mutex_unlock+0x85/0xd0 [ 100.280660] ? __pfx_mutex_unlock+0x10/0x10 [ 100.281200] ? kfree+0x7b/0x120 [ 100.281619] ? ____kasan_slab_free+0x15d/0x1d0 [ 100.282197] ? event_trigger_write+0xac/0x100 [ 100.282764] ? __kasan_slab_free+0x16/0x20 [ 100.283293] ? __kmem_cache_free+0x153/0x2f0 [ 100.283844] ? sched_mm_cid_remote_clear+0xb1/0x250 [ 100.284550] ? __pfx_sched_mm_cid_remote_clear+0x10/0x10 [ 100.285221] ? event_trigger_write+0xbc/0x100 [ 100.285781] ? __kasan_check_read+0x15/0x20 [ 100.286321] ? __bitmap_weight+0x66/0xa0 [ 100.286833] ? _find_next_bit+0x46/0xe0 [ 100.287334] ? task_mm_cid_work+0x37f/0x450 [ 100.287872] event_triggers_call+0x84/0x150 [ 100.288408] trace_event_buffer_commit+0x339/0x430 [ 100.289073] ? ring_buffer_event_data+0x3f/0x60 [ 100.292189] trace_event_raw_event_sys_enter+0x8b/0xe0 [ 100.295434] syscall_trace_enter.constprop.0+0x18f/0x1b0 [ 100.298653] syscall_enter_from_user_mode+0x32/0x40 [ 100.301808] do_syscall_64+0x1a/0x90 [ 100.304748] entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x6e/0xd8 [ 100.307775] RIP: 0033:0x7f686c75c1cb [ 100.310617] Code: 73 01 c3 48 8b 0d 65 3c 10 00 f7 d8 64 89 01 48 83 c8 ff c3 66 2e 0f 1f 84 00 00 00 00 00 90 f3 0f 1e fa b8 21 00 00 00 0f 05 <48> 3d 01 f0 ff ff 73 01 c3 48 8b 0d 35 3c 10 00 f7 d8 64 89 01 48 [ 100.317847] RSP: 002b:00007ffc60137a38 EFLAGS: 00000246 ORIG_RAX: 0000000000000021 [ 100.321200] RA ---truncated--- 15 Oct

CVE-2026-58169 7.7 high 0.00% no CPE yet Vibe-Trading before 0.1.10 contains a DNS rebinding authentication bypass vulnerability that allows remote attackers to bypass bearer-token authentication by exploiting the server's trust of TCP peer addresses for loopback clients combined with missing Host header validation while binding to 0.0.0.0 with credentialed CORS. Attackers can craft a malicious DNS rebinding page to issue authenticated requests to the local API server, reach the shell execution endpoint with a bash-enabled preset, and achieve remote code execution as the API process user while also overwriting LLM and data-source settings to exfiltrate credentials. CVE-2026-85013 7.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in environment-modules. A local attacker can exploit this vulnerability by placing a maliciously named modulefile in a location visible to the victim's `MODULEPATH`. When the victim uses Bash completion for `module` or `ml` commands, the malicious module name, containing shell metacharacters, is evaluated as a command. This can lead to arbitrary command execution in the completing user's shell, impacting their confidentiality, integrity, and availability. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-113723 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet virtualenv is a tool for creating isolated virtual python environments. Prior to 21.14.9, caller-supplied prompt text can become executable syntax in the bash activation prompt. CVE-2026-115586 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet virtualenv is a tool for creating isolated virtual python environments. From 21.14.9 until 21.14.13, the bash bin/activate script can copy an attacker-controlled --prompt value into PS1 without escaping dollar signs or backticks when both promptvars and POSIX mode are disabled during activation. Re-enabling promptvars, running set -o posix, or starting an interactive child bash that inherits the exported PS1 can then expand command substitution in the stored VIRTUAL_ENV_PROMPT value and execute commands as the user who activates the environment. So VM_BUG_ON_PAGE(PagePoisoned(page)) is triggered. This can be reproduced by below steps: 1.Offline memory block: echo offline > /sys/devices/system/memory/memory12/state 2.Get offlined memory pfn: page-types -b n -rlN 3.Write pfn to unpoison-pfn echo <pfn> > /sys/kernel/debug/hwpoison/unpoison-pfn This scenario can be identified by pfn_to_online_page() returning NULL. And ZONE_DEVICE pages are never expected, so we can simply fail if pfn_to_online_page() == NULL to fix the bug. 19 Oct

CVE-2026-45036 7.0 high 0.00% tabby Tabby (formerly Terminus) is a highly configurable terminal emulator. Prior to 1.0.233, Tabby before 1.0.233 automatically confirms ZMODEM protocol detection on all terminal session output without user interaction, enabling shell command execution when a user displays attacker-controlled content. The ZModemMiddleware in tabby-terminal consumes all session output through a Zmodem.Sentry, and when a ZMODEM ZRQINIT header is detected, unconditionally calls detection.confirm() and writes a fixed ZRINIT response ( **\x18B0100000023be50\r\n\x11) back into the active PTY as input. When the process that triggered the detection (e.g., cat) exits, the injected bytes are consumed by the user's shell as a command line. Under fish (default configuration), the ** prefix triggers recursive glob expansion against the current directory, allowing an attacker-placed executable at a matching nested path (e.g., d/xB0100000023be50) to be executed by relative pathname without relying on PATH. Under bash and zsh, a secondary xterm.js terminal color-query feedback (OSC 10) can be combined in the same file to inject a slash-containing command word that similarly bypasses PATH resolution. An attacker can exploit this by providing a crafted file (e.g., in a cloned Git repository) that a user displays with cat, achieving code execution with no interaction beyond viewing the file. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.0.233. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2025-61659 6.8 medium 0.00% no CPE yet bash-git-prompt 2.6.1 through 2.7.1 insecurely uses the /tmp/git-index-private$$ file, which has a predictable name. 9 Oct
CVE-2026-27955 6.6 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Coolify is an open-source and self-hostable tool for managing servers, applications, and databases. Prior to 4.0.0-beta.464, the executeInDocker() helper wraps commands in bash -c '{$command}' without escaping single quotes. User-controlled docker_compose_custom_build_command and docker_compose_custom_start_command fields are interpolated directly, allowing a single quote to break out of the bash -c argument and execute commands on the managed server host (outside the intended Docker container context). This vulnerability is fixed in 4.0.0-beta.464. Sun 25 Oct
