CVE-2025-61928 9.3 critical 20.0% no CPE yet Better Auth is an authentication and authorization library for TypeScript. In versions prior to 1.3.26, unauthenticated attackers can create or modify API keys for any user by passing that user's id in the request body to the `api/auth/api-key/create` route. `session?.user ?? (authRequired ? null : { id: ctx.body.userId })`. When no session exists but `userId` is present in the request body, `authRequired` becomes false and the user object is set to the attacker-controlled ID. Server-only field validation only executes when `authRequired` is true (lines 280-295), allowing attackers to set privileged fields. No additional authentication occurs before the database operation, so the malicious payload is accepted. The same pattern exists in the update endpoint. This is a critical authentication bypass enabling full an unauthenticated attacker can generate an API key for any user and immediately gain complete authenticated access. This allows the attacker to perform any action as the victim user using the api key, potentially compromise the user data and the application depending on the victim's privileges. Version 1.3.26 contains a patch for the issue. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-67330 9.4 critical 1.0% no CPE yet @better-auth/scim (a better-auth plugin) versions >= 1.4.0-beta.27 through <= 1.6.21 and >= 1.7.0-beta.0 through <= 1.7.0-beta.9 contain an authorization bypass. SCIM token issuance did not reject provider IDs already used by existing SSO, SAML, OIDC, generic OAuth, or social account providers, and the same logical provider ID was used for both SCIM provider configuration and account ownership. An authenticated user could mint a SCIM token whose provider ID collided with an existing provider namespace, causing SCIM user routes to resolve account rows the token never provisioned. This allowed listing, reading, updating (including rewriting global profile/email fields without uniqueness checks), and deleting global user accounts and sessions, resulting in account takeover and unauthorized deprovisioning. Fixed in 1.6.22 and 1.7.0-beta.10 (1.7.0-rc.0). Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2025-71399 8.8 high 1.0% no CPE yet Better Auth relies on better-call, which uses the rou3 router library. In affected versions of rou3, paths are normalized by removing empty segments, so /path, //path, and ///path resolve to the same route. In Better Auth versions prior to 1.4.5 (which bundles the fixed rou3), this can allow attackers to bypass disabledPaths configuration and path-based rate limits by submitting requests with extra slashes in the URL path. The issue does not apply in deployments where the proxy or platform normalizes URLs by collapsing multiple slashes. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-110862 9.3 critical 0.00% no CPE yet Better Auth from 1.4.0-beta.18 before 1.7.7 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to sign in as other users by reusing OAuth state values as Magic Link tokens. Attackers can start an OAuth sign-in with a victim's email and submit the returned state to Magic Link verification, gaining sessions or creating falsely email-verified accounts. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-114607 9.1 critical 0.00% no CPE yet Better Auth is an authentication and authorization library for TypeScript. From 1.4.0-beta.18 until 1.7.7, deployments that enable Magic Link with storeToken set to plain, or with storeToken set to hashed and the global verification.storeIdentifier setting also set to hashed, enable a built-in social or Generic OAuth provider, and use account.storeStateStrategy set to database can accept an OAuth sign-in state value as a Magic Link token. These settings can cause Magic Link verification records and OAuth state to resolve to the same stored identifier, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to start OAuth sign-in for a known email address and redeem the returned state through Magic Link without controlling the mailbox or completing the provider callback. The attacker can obtain a normal session for an existing user, or create an account incorrectly marked as email verified when sign-up is enabled. This issue is fixed in version 1.7.7. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-110864 9.1 critical 0.00% no CPE yet Better Auth from 1.5.0-beta.12 before 1.7.7 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in the OAuth Proxy plugin that allows unauthenticated attackers to sign in as other users by forging encrypted profiles. When the proxy shares the global secret and cookie-stored state is used, attackers can obtain encrypted state for a fake profile with a victim's verified email to take over the account via implicit linking. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-67331 8.7 high 0.00% no CPE yet better-auth SCIM versions from 1.5.0 before 1.7.0-beta.4 fail to bind non-organization SCIM providers to their creator by default, allowing authenticated users to manage other users' providers. Attackers can regenerate SCIM bearer tokens, invalidate legitimate tokens, and authenticate to SCIM API routes with the attacker-controlled token. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-67328 8.6 high 0.00% no CPE yet @better-auth/sso versions before 1.6.21 contain multiple authentication bypass vulnerabilities in SSO provider handling that allow attackers to sign in as arbitrary users. Attackers can exploit domain verification parsing mismatches, orphaned provider accounts, unbound SAML assertions, or reflected XSS on logout endpoints to gain unauthorized session access and account takeover. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-110863 8.6 high 0.00% no CPE yet Better Auth @better-auth/sso from 1.7.0-rc.2 before 1.7.3 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated users to sign in as other users by registering a personal SSO provider. Attackers can copy a legitimate provider's OIDC issuer or SAML entity ID and assert a victim's subject or NameID, because account lookup ignores providerId, creating sessions for victim accounts. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-80192 8.6 high 0.00% no CPE yet @better-auth/sso before 1.6.27 (and before 1.4.8 in the 1.4.x line and before 1.7.0-rc.5 in the 1.7 prerelease line) contains two domain-ownership flaws. When domain verification is disabled, automatic organization assignment accepts unverified provider domains, allowing an authenticated organization owner/administrator to register an SSO provider for an arbitrary domain and have users with matching email domains added to the attacker's organization with default member permissions. When domain verification is enabled, a race condition between the verify-domain and update-provider endpoints can apply completed DNS proof to a different domain; combined with implicit account linking, this can link an attacker-controlled identity provider to an existing user account. Exploitation requires the SSO plugin (and, for the org-assignment path, the organization plugin) with the relevant configuration enabled. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-109346 8.5 high 0.00% no CPE yet better-auth from 1.3.8-beta.3 before 1.7.0-rc.3 contains a UI misrepresentation vulnerability in the deviceAuthorization plugin because GET /device omits the requesting client_id and scope. Attackers can start a device request via /device/code, trick signed-in users into approving the code, then redeem it at /device/token for a live session token. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-41427 7.1 high 0.00% better-auth, better-auth\/oauth-provider Better Auth is an authentication and authorization library for TypeScript. Prior to 1.6.5, the clientPrivileges option documents a create action, but the OAuth client creation endpoints did not invoke the hook before persisting new clients. Deployments that configured clientPrivileges to restrict client registration were not actually restricted — any authenticated user could reach the create endpoints and register an OAuth client with attacker-chosen redirect URIs and metadata. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.6.5. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-67329 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet @better-auth/stripe versions >= 1.4.11 and < 1.6.21, and >= 1.7.0-beta.0 and < 1.7.0-beta.10, contain an authorization bypass in organization subscription actions. The middleware validates the organization ID taken from the request query string against the authorizeReference callback, but the handler reads the organization ID only from the request body and falls back to the caller's active organization from their session. When these differ, an authenticated member of multiple organizations can perform subscription actions (cancel, change plan, restore, billing portal access) against an organization they belong to but should not manage, and can access another organization's billing details including payment methods, invoices, and subscription state. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2025-71400 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet better-auth passkey versions before 1.4.0 contain an insecure direct object reference vulnerability in the passkey deletion endpoint that allows authenticated users to delete arbitrary passkeys by ID. Attackers with valid sessions can submit crafted requests to the delete-passkey endpoint with enumerated passkey IDs to remove other users' passkeys. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-110861 6.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Better Auth @better-auth/drizzle-adapter and better-auth from 1.6.17 before 1.7.7, and @better-auth/kysely-adapter from 1.6.17 before 1.7.0, contain a race condition in database-backed rate limiting on PostgreSQL where the limit check is not atomic with the counter update. Remote attackers can send bursts of concurrent requests that pass the check together, exceeding configured limits on password sign-in, two-factor verification, one-time code, password reset, and other rate-limited endpoints. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-78062 5.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability was identified in vas3k TaxHacker up to 0.8.2. The affected element is the function envSchema.parse of the file lib/config.ts of the component JWT Secret Handler. The manipulation of the argument BETTER_AUTH_SECRET leads to hard-coded credentials. The attack can be initiated remotely. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. 12 Oct
CVE-2026-67332 5.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet @better-auth/oauth-provider before 1.7.0-beta.4 fails to bind access-token audience to the authorization grant, allowing clients to request tokens for unrelated resources. Attackers can complete an OAuth flow and obtain access tokens whose audience targets resource servers the authorization never covered, bypassing intended authorization boundaries. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-67334 5.1 medium 0.00% no CPE yet better-auth versions before 1.6.11 fail to delete cached sessions when removing users via admin, anonymous, or SCIM endpoints when secondaryStorage is configured and storeSessionInDatabase is false. Attackers can reuse deleted user session tokens to maintain authentication for up to seven days after account deletion. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-15527 1.9 low 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability has been found in better-auth better-icons up to 1.0.5. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the component scan_project_icons/sync_icon. Such manipulation of the argument icons_file leads to path traversal. An attack has to be approached locally. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. Sat 24 Oct
