| CVE-2026-46682 | 8.5 high | 1.0% | no CPE yet | BigBlueButton is an open-source virtual classroom. Prior to 3.0.23, BigBlueButton allowed authenticated moderators to inject SQL through the meetingId and userId values used by refreshBreakoutRoomsVisibleForUsers in akka-bbb-apps/src/main/scala/org/bigbluebutton/core/db/BreakoutRoomUserDAO.scala. The method interpolated those values into breakout room visibility queries, allowing arbitrary SQL execution against the application database. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.23. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2025-61601 | 7.5 high | 0.00% | bigbluebutton | BigBlueButton is an open-source virtual classroom. A Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability in versions prior to 3.0.13 allows any authenticated user to freeze or crash the entire server by abusing the polling feature's `Choices` response type. By submitting a malicious payload with a massive array in the `answerIds` field, the attacker can cause the current meeting — and potentially all meetings on the server — to become unresponsive. Version 3.0.13 contains a patch. No known workarounds are available. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2025-61602 | 7.5 high | 0.00% | bigbluebutton | BigBlueButton is an open-source virtual classroom. A denial-of-service (DoS) vulnerability in versions prior to 3.0.13 allows any authenticated user to crash the chat functionality for all participants in a meeting by sending a malformed `reactionEmojiId` in the GraphQL mutation `chatSendMessageReaction`. Version 3.0.13 contains a patch. No known workarounds are available. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-46355 | 7.1 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | BigBlueButton is an open-source virtual classroom. Prior to 3.0.23, BigBlueButton exposed /bigbluebutton/api/handleJoinExistingUser through bigbluebutton-web/grails-app/controllers/org/bigbluebutton/web/controllers/ApiController.groovy. A requester able to supply an existingUserID for an active participant could reuse that participant's session and impersonate the participant in the same meeting because handleJoinExistingUser was a routable controller action rather than a private helper. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.23. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2025-62523 | 6.3 medium | 0.00% | thm, pilos | PILOS (Platform for Interactive Live-Online Seminars) is a frontend for BigBlueButton. PILOS before 4.8.0 includes a Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) misconfiguration in its middleware: it reflects the Origin request header back in the Access-Control-Allow-Origin response header without proper validation or a whitelist, while Access-Control-Allow-Credentials is set to true. This behavior could allow a malicious website on a different origin to send requests (including credentials) to the PILOS API. This may enable exfiltration or actions using the victim’s credentials if the server accepts those cross-origin requests as authenticated. Laravel’s session handling applies additional origin checks such that cross-origin requests are not authenticated by default. Because of these session-origin protections, and in the absence of any other unknown vulnerabilities that would bypass Laravel’s origin/session checks, this reflected-Origin CORS misconfiguration is not believed to be exploitable in typical PILOS deployments. This vulnerability has been patched in PILOS in v4.8.0 | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2026-55491 | 5.4 medium | 0.00% | no CPE yet | BigBlueButton is an open-source virtual classroom. Prior to 3.0.29, BigBlueButton failed to escape meetingName in record-and-playback/screenshare/playback/index.html.erb when generating the screenshare playback format. A low-privileged user could store a crafted meeting name that embedded script content, and the script executed in another user's browser when that user replayed the recording. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.29. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2025-55200 | 5.4 medium | 0.00% | bigbluebutton | BigBlueButton is an open-source virtual classroom. In versions prior to 3.0.13, the "Shared Notes" feature contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability with the input location being the "Username" field and the output location on the "Shared Notes" page, when a user with a malicious username is editing content. This vulnerability allows a low-privileged user to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of higher-privileged users (e.g., Admins) who open the Shared Notes page. Version 3.0.13 fixes the issue. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2025-62524 | 5.3 medium | 0.00% | thm, pilos | PILOS (Platform for Interactive Live-Online Seminars) is a frontend for BigBlueButton. PILOS before 4.8.0 exposes the PHP version via the X-Powered-By header, enabling attackers to fingerprint the server and assess potential exploits. This information disclosure vulnerability originates from PHP’s base image. Additionally, the PHP version can also be inferred through the PILOS version displayed in the footer and by examining the source code available on GitHub. This information disclosure vulnerability has been patched in PILOS in v4.8.0. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2025-62781 | 5.0 medium | 0.00% | thm, pilos | PILOS (Platform for Interactive Live-Online Seminars) is a frontend for BigBlueButton. Prior to 4.8.0, users with a local account can change their password while logged in. When doing so, all other active sessions are terminated, except for the currently active one. However, the current session’s token remains valid and is not refreshed. If an attacker has previously obtained this session token through another vulnerability, changing the password will not invalidate their access. As a result, the attacker can continue to act as the user even after the password has been changed. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.8.0. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2026-55489 | 4.9 medium | 0.00% | no CPE yet | BigBlueButton is an open-source virtual classroom. Prior to 3.0.29, BigBlueButton presenters could submit a presentationId through /api/graphql that identified a presentation belonging to another meeting. akka-bbb-apps/src/main/scala/org/bigbluebutton/core/apps/presentationpod/RemovePresentationPubMsgHdlr.scala did not verify the presentation's meeting identifier before deletion, allowing a presenter who knew the identifier to delete another meeting's presentation and disrupt its availability. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.29. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-71555 | 4.1 medium | 0.00% | no CPE yet | PILOS (Platform for Interactive Live-Online Seminars) is a frontend for BigBlueButton. From 2.1.0 until 4.14.1, PILOS does not send a Cross-Origin-Opener-Policy response header, so pages opened by PILOS via a link that opens a new browsing context (e.g., target="_blank") retain a window.opener reference back to the originating PILOS tab. A malicious destination page reached this way can use window.opener to navigate or manipulate the original PILOS tab, a technique known as reverse tabnabbing, potentially redirecting an authenticated user to a phishing page that mimics PILOS. This issue is fixed in version 4.14.1. | Sat 24 Oct |
