CVE-2026-53727 8.9 high 1.0% premailer, css_parser css_parser is a Ruby CSS parser. From 2.2.0 until 3.0.0, CssParser::Parser#read_remote_file in lib/css_parser/parser.rb, and therefore load_uri! and the @import-following branch of add_block!, issued HTTP and HTTPS requests against any host, port, and URI without a scheme allowlist, host or IP filtering, or protection against link-local, loopback, or RFC-1918 addresses. Location: redirects were followed recursively back into the same function, which also serviced file:// URIs, so a single attacker-controlled HTTP redirect could upgrade the bug from SSRF to arbitrary local file disclosure. Any consumer of css_parser that hands it attacker-influenced CSS together with a base_uri: option is exposed. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.0. 24 Oct
CVE-2026-49477 7.5 high 1.0% facelessuser, soup_sieve Soup Sieve is a CSS selector library designed to be used with Beautiful Soup 4. Prior to 2.8.4, the CSS selector parser in soupsieve contains a regular expression vulnerable to catastrophic backtracking when processing an attribute selector with an unterminated quoted value in soupsieve/css_parser.py, allowing an attacker who can supply untrusted CSS selector strings to soupsieve.compile() or Beautiful Soup .select() / .select_one() to cause CPU exhaustion and denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 2.8.4. 24 Oct
CVE-2026-61845 8.9 high — rgrove, crass Crass is a Ruby CSS parser that's fully compliant with the CSS Syntax Level 3 specification. Prior to 1.0.7, Crass converts `CSS scientific notation` number values with unbounded exponentiation before clamping the result to `Float::MAX`. Applications that use Crass to parse attacker-controlled CSS strings can be forced to spend disproportionate CPU and memory parsing a tiny input, potentially resulting in a crash. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.7. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-61847 6.3 medium — rgrove, crass Crass is a Ruby CSS parser that's fully compliant with the CSS Syntax Level 3 specification. Prior to 1.0.7, when the `:preserve_comments` option is not enabled, which is the default, Crass discards CSS comments by recursively consuming the next token. An attacker-provided stylesheet containing a very large number of adjacent comments can cause excessive recursion and trigger a `SystemStackError`, denying service to the parsing application. Preserving comments avoids this recursive path. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.7. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-61848 6.3 medium — rgrove, crass Crass is a Ruby CSS parser that's fully compliant with the CSS Syntax Level 3 specification. Prior to 1.0.7, when Crass parses input containing `non-ASCII characters`, inefficiencies in tracking the positions of `multi-byte characters` result in superlinear parsing time. An attacker-controlled CSS input consisting of many `non-ASCII characters` can therefore cause excessive CPU consumption and potentially denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.7. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-61846 6.3 medium — rgrove, crass Crass is a Ruby CSS parser that's fully compliant with the CSS Syntax Level 3 specification. Prior to 1.0.7, Crass recursively parses `CSS simple blocks and functions` without a depth guard. An attacker-controlled CSS value containing deeply nested blocks or functions can recurse until Ruby raises `SystemStackError`: stack level too deep, or cause excessive memory usage. Version 1.0.7 adds a configurable depth limit with a conservative default. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.7. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-44312 5.8 medium 0.00% no CPE yet css_parser is a Ruby CSS parser. Prior to 2.1.0 and 1.22.0, the CSS Parser gem does not validate HTTPS connections, allowing a Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attacker to inject or modify CSS content when stylesheets are loaded via HTTPS. The connection is established with OpenSSL::SSL::VERIFY_NONE, meaning any HTTPS certificate—even entirely untrusted—will be accepted without validation. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.1.0 and 1.22.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-116695 5.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Crass is a Ruby CSS parser that is compliant with the CSS Syntax Level 3 specification. Prior to 1.0.8, Crass incorrectly treats a closing parenthesis after an escaped backslash as escaped while consuming the remnants of a bad URL. Crass therefore keeps declarations, style rules, or at-rules inside a bad URL token even though a browser treats them as live CSS. A sanitizer that parses untrusted CSS with Crass and reserializes it without rejecting the bad URL can allow CSS used for UI redress, external resource loading, or CSS-based data exfiltration, but this issue does not enable script execution in modern browsers. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.8. Wed 28 Oct
