CVE-2026-85748 9.9 critical 1.0% mariadb MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 12.3.1 until 12.3.3 and 13.0.2, SYS_REFCURSOR handling is affected because cursor-array reallocation can leave stale references in routine contexts. A low-privileged attacker can open a large number of SYS_REFCURSORs and then fetch one to trigger a use-after-free that can enable remote code execution when combined with another vulnerability. This issue is fixed in versions 12.3.3 and 13.0.2. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-43341 9.8 critical 1.0% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/ipv6: ioam6: prevent schema length wraparound in trace fill ioam6_fill_trace_data() stores the schema contribution to the trace length in a u8. With bit 22 enabled and the largest schema payload, sclen becomes 1 + 1020 / 4, wraps from 256 to 0, and bypasses the remaining-space check. __ioam6_fill_trace_data() then positions the write cursor without reserving the schema area but still copies the 4-byte schema header and the full schema payload, overrunning the trace buffer. Keep sclen in an unsigned int so the remaining-space check and the write cursor calculation both see the full schema length. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-59944 9.8 critical 1.0% anysphere, cursor Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. Versions 1.6.23 and below contain case-sensitive checks in the way Cursor IDE protects its sensitive files (e.g., */.cursor/mcp.json), which allows attackers to modify the content of these files through prompt injection and achieve remote code execution. A prompt injection can lead to full RCE through modifying sensitive files on case-insensitive fileystems. This issue is fixed in version 1.7. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-90048 9.8 critical 1.0% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: fix slab-out-of-bounds write in ni_create_attr_list() ni_create_attr_list() allocates a fixed buffer of al_aligned(record_size) (== record_size) bytes and then walks every attribute of the primary MFT record, writing one ATTR_LIST_ENTRY per attribute and advancing the cursor by le_size(name_len), with no check against the end of the buffer; the total size is only computed after the loop. A minimum-size resident attribute occupies SIZEOF_RESIDENT (0x18 = 24) bytes on disk, but an unnamed attribute expands to le_size(0) (0x20 = 32) bytes in the list. Because the number of attributes in a record is not bounded (mi_enum_attr() accepts arbitrarily many equal-type, nameless minimum-size attributes), a crafted record packed with such attributes produces a list larger than record_size and overflows the heap buffer. This is reachable from a crafted, loop-mounted NTFS image: opening the file and adding an attribute (e.g. via setxattr) drives ntfs_set_ea() -> ni_insert_resident() -> ni_insert_attr() -> ni_ins_attr_ext() -> ni_create_attr_list(). BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in ni_create_attr_list+0xc48/0x1058 Write of size 4 at addr ffff000008984c00 by task setfattr/345 ni_create_attr_list+0xc48/0x1058 ni_ins_attr_ext+0x510/0x7c0 ni_insert_attr+0x3f8/0x70c ni_insert_resident+0xc8/0x3b0 ntfs_set_ea+0x66c/0xd28 ntfs_setxattr+0x4d8/0x5b0 __arm64_sys_setxattr+0xa4/0x124 Allocated by task 345: ni_create_attr_list+0x188/0x1058 The buggy address belongs to the cache kmalloc-1k of size 1024 (the write lands at object+1024). Size the buffer from the actual attributes instead of assuming a single record_size is always enough. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-89778 9.8 critical 1.0% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: isofs: fix out-of-bounds page array access on empty zisofs block zisofs_uncompress_block()'s empty-block fast path returns pcount << PAGE_SHIFT, ignoring the incoming poffset, unlike the decompression path which returns bytes produced relative to poffset. zisofs_fill_pages() uses that return to advance its page cursor, so when the zisofs block size is below PAGE_SIZE and a sub-page block leaves poffset partway into a page, a following empty block over-counts and advances pages[] one element past its end, after which "if (poffset && *pages)" reads pages[1] out of bounds. rock.c only rejects a block-size shift > 17, so a crafted "ZF" Rock Ridge record can set it below PAGE_SHIFT; the bug is reached by an ordinary read() of a compressed file on such a mounted ISO9660 image. Return the byte count relative to poffset and zero only [poffset, PAGE_SIZE) of the first page, matching the decompression path. The page-aligned case (poffset == 0) is unaffected. BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in zisofs_read_folio (fs/isofs/compress.c:290) Read of size 8 at addr ffff88800f5eac48 by task exploit/142 zisofs_read_folio (fs/isofs/compress.c:290) read_pages (mm/readahead.c:184) ... filemap_read (mm/filemap.c:2814) vfs_read (fs/read_write.c:574) __x64_sys_pread64 (fs/read_write.c:769) do_syscall_64 (arch/x86/entry/syscall_64.c:94) entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe (arch/x86/entry/entry_64.S:121) The buggy address is located 0 bytes to the right of the allocated 8-byte region in the kmalloc-8 cache 19 Oct
CVE-2025-62354 9.8 critical 1.0% no CPE yet Improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command ('command injection') in Cursor allows an unauthorized attacker to execute commands that are outside of those specified in the allowlist, resulting in arbitrary code execution. 18 Oct
CVE-2026-59142 9.1 critical 1.0% no CPE yet Data::HashMap::Shared versions before 0.14 for Perl allow an out-of-bounds read via an unvalidated arena offset and length in shm_str_copy. The attach-time validator shm_validate_header checks the header scalars and region layout against the file size, but does not validate the array contents it then trusts. shm_str_copy does memcpy(dst, arena + off, len) with off and len read raw from the mmap'd segment and unbounded, on the each, keys, values, pop, shift, take, swap, drain and cursor paths. The get path bounds off and len separately and is not affected. A local peer that can write the backing file can leave the header valid while poisoning a record's offset and length, so iterating or draining the map copies a file-controlled offset and length out of the arena, reading adjacent memory or crashing the process. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-89650 9.1 critical 1.0% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: bound num_export_targets array for mds info v2/v3 ceph_mdsmap_decode() in fs/ceph/mdsmap.c reads num_export_targets from each per-mds info record and advances the decode cursor by num_export_targets * sizeof(u32) without first checking that many bytes remain. The only upper-bound check that catches a runaway cursor (*p > info_end) is gated on info_v >= 4, because info_end is left NULL for info_v 2 and 3. When the monitor sends an MDS map whose per-mds info version is 2 or 3 with an oversized num_export_targets, the cursor moves past the message front buffer and the later export-targets loop calls the unchecked ceph_decode_32() on out-of-bounds memory. A kernel client processes CEPH_MSG_MDS_MAP from its monitor session (net/ceph/mon_client.c dispatches it; fs/ceph/super.c routes it to ceph_mdsc_handle_mdsmap(), which sets end to the front buffer bound and calls ceph_mdsmap_decode()). A malicious or compromised monitor, or an on-path attacker on an unsigned/unencrypted messenger session, can therefore drive an out-of-bounds read in the client kernel; on x86_64 with KASAN it is reported as a slab-out-of-bounds read in ceph_mdsmap_decode(). The decoded values land in the internal info->export_targets[] array, so the consequence is a kernel out-of-bounds read, not an information leak to the attacker. Impact: a malicious or compromised Ceph monitor sending an MDS map with a per-mds info version of 2 or 3 and an oversized num_export_targets field triggers an out-of-bounds read in the CephFS client kernel. Add a ceph_decode_need() for the export-targets array before advancing the cursor, so the bound is enforced for every info_v >= 2, not only info_v >= 4. This mirrors the count-then-need idiom already used for m_data_pg_pools later in the same function. Compute the export-targets byte count with size_mul() and reuse that checked length when advancing the cursor, so the attacker-controlled num_export_targets multiplication fails closed on overflow rather than relying on the later kcalloc() guard. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-61591 8.8 high 1.0% anysphere, cursor Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions 1.7 and below, when MCP uses OAuth authentication with an untrusted MCP server, an attacker can impersonate a malicious MCP server and return crafted, maliciously injected commands during the interaction process, leading to command injection and potential remote code execution. If chained with an untrusted MCP service via OAuth, this command injection vulnerability could allow arbitrary code execution on the host by the agent. This can then be used to directly compromise the system by executing malicious commands with full user privileges. This issue does not currently have a fixed release version, but there is a patch, 2025.09.17-25b418f. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-64109 8.8 high 1.0% no CPE yet Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions and below, a vulnerability in the Cursor CLI Beta allowed an attacker to achieve remote code execution through the MCP (Model Context Protocol) server mechanism by uploading a malicious MCP configuration in .cursor/mcp.json file in a GitHub repository. Once a victim clones the project and opens it using Cursor CLI, the command to run the malicious MCP server is immediately executed without any warning, leading to potential code execution as soon as the command runs. This issue is fixed in version 2025.09.17-25b418f. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-63093 8.7 high 1.0% anysphere, cursor Cursor for Windows version 3.2.16 contains a binary planting vulnerability that allows remote attackers to achieve arbitrary code execution by placing a malicious git.exe file in the repository root directory. When a developer clones and opens a crafted repository, Cursor automatically resolves and executes the workspace-resident git.exe during IDE startup and on a recurring timed cadence without any user interaction, running the malicious binary under the privileges of the current user. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-75935 8.7 high 1.0% no CPE yet Uncontrolled memory allocation in the binary Ion stream cursor in Amazon ion-java before 1.12.0 might allow remote actors to cause a denial of service via a crafted Ion binary document containing a declared-length field that causes excessive heap preallocation. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 1.12.0. Thu 22 Oct
CVE-2026-13397 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet HTML::Bare versions through 0.04 for Perl will hang in an infinite loop when parsing malformed attributes. The parserc_parse function never advances the attribute-parse state cursor on certain malformed attribute forms, looping forever. Nameless attributes such as "<a ='c'>" or unbalanced quotes "<a b='''''''c'>" can trigger this condition. Note that the latest version available on CPAN is version 0.02. Newer versions are available on the git repository. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-13401 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet XML::Bare versions through 0.53 for Perl will hang in an infinite loop when parsing malformed attributes. The parserc_parse function never advances the attribute-parse state cursor on certain malformed attribute forms, looping forever. Nameless attributes such as "<a ='c'>" or unbalanced quotes "<a b='''''''c'>" can trigger this condition. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-67579 7.5 high 1.0% ash-hq, ash_framework Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in ash-project ash allows an unauthenticated attacker to inject a filter expression through a forged keyset pagination cursor, resulting in SQL injection or code execution depending on the data layer. Read actions with keyset pagination decode the client-supplied page[:after] or page[:before] cursor in decode_values/2 in lib/ash/page/keyset.ex using non_executable_binary_to_term/2 with [:safe]. That guard blocks new atoms, funs, and ports, but not a struct built from atoms already interned in a running Ash application, so a decoded %Ash.Query.Call{} expression survives and is spliced into the keyset filter as a comparison value in do_filters/4 and evaluated. Because the cursor bypasses the Ash.Expr macro, the runtime never applies the private?/public? gate that would otherwise reject it. On AshPostgres the injected fragment is inlined into the SQL query; on the ETS and Simple data layers it is evaluated in-process as an arbitrary function call. This issue affects ash: from 1.17.0 before 3.31.3. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2025-61590 7.5 high 1.0% anysphere, cursor Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. Versions 1.6 and below are vulnerable to Remote Code Execution (RCE) attacks through Visual Studio Code Workspaces. Workspaces allow users to open more than a single folder and save specific settings (pretty similar to .vscode/settings.json) for the folders / project. An untitled workspace is automatically created by VS Code (untitled.code-workspace), which contains all the folders and workspace settings from the user's current session, opening up an entire new attack vector if the user has a .code-workspace file in path (either untitled created automatically or a saved one). If an attacker is able to hijack the chat context of the victim (such as via a compromised MCP server), they can use prompt injection to make the Cursor Agent write into this file and modify the workspace. This leads to a bypass of CVE-2025-54130 which can lead to RCE by writing to the settings section. This issue is fixed in version 1.7. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-89704 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: sample writeback error cursor before async COPY loop _nfsd_copy_file_range() samples dst->f_wb_err into "since" after the copy loop, then uses it to detect writeback errors via filemap_check_wb_err() once vfs_fsync_range() returns. Because the nfsd_file cache reuses a single struct file across requests targeting the same inode, a concurrent COMMIT or stable WRITE on dst advances dst->f_wb_err to the current mapping->wb_err via file_check_and_advance_wb_err() during its own vfs_fsync_range(). If that advancement lands between the writeback error appearing in mapping->wb_err and the COPY worker sampling "since", the worker captures the already-advanced cursor, errseq_check() sees cur == since and returns zero, and NFSD4_COPY_F_COMMITTED is set even though writeback failed. CB_OFFLOAD then encodes wr_stable_how = FILE_SYNC4, the client treats the copied data as durable, and the failure becomes silent data loss. Sample since once at the start of the function. The cursor then reflects state in effect before this COPY issues any writes, and filemap_check_wb_err() detects any error that occurs during the copy regardless of which thread first observes it. This matches the pattern used by nfsd_vfs_write() and nfsd4_clone_file_range(). 19 Oct
CVE-2026-89657 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: validate OSD extent maps before cursor advance net/ceph/osd_client.c:osd_sparse_read() validates that the sparse-read data length matches the summed extent lengths, but it does not validate that each OSD-supplied extent is monotonic and lies inside the original request range. A malformed authenticated OSD reply can advertise a far-forward nonzero extent offset with a matching data length and make the client advance the message-data cursor beyond the request buffer. This reaches the BUG_ON(!*length) assertion in ceph_msg_data_next() from the client receive path. Impact: A malicious or compromised authenticated Ceph OSD peer can crash a kernel Ceph client via a malformed sparse-read reply. Reject sparse extent maps that overflow, move backwards, overlap, or extend outside the original sparse-read request before advancing the cursor. [ idryomov: perform sparse_extent_map_valid() check a bit earlier, in CEPH_SPARSE_READ_DATA_LEN instead of CEPH_SPARSE_READ_DATA_PRE state ] 19 Oct
CVE-2026-105938 2.3 low 1.0% no CPE yet Apache Pulsar namespaces can restrict which roles may use a subscription, either with the Prefix subscription authentication mode, which requires a subscription name to start with the role name, or by granting permission on a subscription to specific roles. Topic-level subscription operations, such as consuming, skipping messages, resetting a cursor or deleting a subscription, apply these subscription policies. Several admin REST API operations that act on subscriptions did not apply them: - the namespace-level and bundle-level clear backlog operations, both for a named subscription and for all subscriptions; - the namespace-level and bundle-level unsubscribe operations; - the topic-level operation that expires messages for all subscriptions of a topic. With the default authorization provider, the namespace-level operations require only consume permission granted on the namespace, and the expire-all operation requires only consume permission on the topic. As a result, when authentication and authorization are enabled and a namespace uses the Prefix subscription authentication mode or subscription permissions, an authenticated user with such consume permission can clear the backlog of, expire messages of, or delete a subscription that the policies would deny to that user. Tenant admin or superuser access is not required. The clear backlog operations can also be applied to the cursors used for geo-replication, so that messages not yet replicated to a remote cluster are skipped. Deployments that do not configure the Prefix subscription authentication mode or subscription permissions (the defaults) are not affected by this bypass, because consume permission on the namespace or topic already allows these operations there. This impact analysis assumes that Pulsar has been configured with the default authorization provider. For custom authorization providers, the impact could be different. The impact is on the integrity of subscription state. Clearing or expiring the backlog moves the subscription's cursor forward, so unacknowledged messages are no longer delivered to the subscription's consumers. The unsubscribe operation deletes a subscription that has no connected consumers. Skipped messages can be permanently deleted once no other subscription or the namespace's retention policy keeps them. The issue does not allow reading message contents, changing permissions or policies, or accessing other namespaces, and it does not affect the availability of the broker. In fixed versions, the namespace-level and bundle-level operations for a named subscription apply the subscription policies to that subscription, and the operations for all subscriptions, when requested by a user who is not a tenant admin or superuser, only act on the subscriptions that the user may access. Clearing the backlog of geo-replication cursors requires tenant admin or superuser access. Topic-level subscription operations apply the subscription policies for all types of authentication data, including that of the anonymous user role. This issue affects Apache Pulsar versions from 2.8.0 before 4.0.14 and from 4.1.0 before 4.2.5. - 4.0.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.0.14. - 4.1.x and 4.2.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.2.5. All brokers in a cluster must be upgraded before relying on the namespace-level restrictions, because brokers that have not been upgraded do not apply them when they receive the internal per-bundle requests. Users operating versions prior to those listed above should upgrade to the aforementioned patched versions or newer versions. The currently supported Apache Pulsar release lines are 4.0.x and 5.0.x. The supported versions schedule is available at https://pulsar.apache.org/contribute/release-policy/. Users who cannot upgrade immediately can reduce exposure by restricting network access to the broker's admin REST API to trusted administrative clients. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-7629 2.1 low 1.0% no CPE yet A flaw has been found in kleneway awesome-cursor-mpc-server up to 2.0.1. Impacted is the function runCodeReviewTool of the file src/tools/codeReview.ts of the component Ccode-Review Tool. Executing a manipulation can lead to command injection. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through a pull request but has not reacted yet. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-31436 9.8 critical 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: idxd: fix possible wrong descriptor completion in llist_abort_desc() At the end of this function, d is the traversal cursor of flist, but the code completes found instead. This can lead to issues such as NULL pointer dereferences, double completion, or descriptor leaks. Fix this by completing d instead of found in the final list_for_each_entry_safe() loop. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-93228 9.1 critical 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: svcrdma: Reject Write/Reply chunks with segcount 0 A peer can send a Write or Reply chunk whose segcount field is zero. xdr_check_write_chunk() only rejects segcount > rc_maxpages, so zero passes the range check, and xdr_inline_decode(stream, 0) returns the current (non-NULL) cursor without advancing. The function returns true and pcl_alloc_write() then links a struct svc_rdma_chunk with ch_segcount == 0 onto rc_write_pcl or rc_reply_pcl. An earlier patch in this series made pcl_for_each_segment() safe for ch_segcount == 0, so this no longer drives the memory walk it used to. Rejecting the malformed frame at the decode boundary is still worthwhile as defense in depth: it keeps degenerate zero-segment chunks off the parsed chunk lists entirely, so any future consumer that walks ch_segments directly cannot observe one, and it makes the zero-floor easy to backport to trees where the macro change is more intrusive. RFC 8166 has no meaning for a Write/Reply chunk that describes no remote buffer, so no legitimate client is affected. xdr_check_reply_chunk() funnels Reply chunks through xdr_check_write_chunk() and inherits the same rejection. pcl_alloc_write() also links each chunk onto the parsed chunk list before filling its segment array. If a future change weakens the segcount-0 rejection, an incomplete chunk is visible to consumers during the fill loop. Reorder so that list_add_tail() follows the segment fill loop, ensuring only fully-populated chunks appear on the list. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-10673 8.8 high 0.00% zephyrproject, zephyr The Zephyr ADIN2111/ADIN1110 10BASE-T1S/T1L Ethernet driver (drivers/ethernet/eth_adin2111.c) reassembles received Ethernet frames in OPEN Alliance (OA) SPI mode by copying device-supplied 64-byte data chunks into a fixed static buffer ctx->buf of size CONFIG_ETH_ADIN2111_BUFFER_SIZE (default 1524 bytes). In eth_adin2111_oa_data_read(), each valid chunk was memcpy'd into ctx->buf[ctx->scur] and the write cursor scur advanced, with no check that scur + len stayed within the buffer. The number of chunks (up to 255, from the BUFSTS RCA field) and the per-chunk length are taken entirely from the frame data received off the wire; the cursor is only reset on a start-of-frame chunk. An attacker on the single-pair Ethernet segment can therefore send a frame whose reassembled size exceeds the configured buffer, causing the driver's RX offload thread to write attacker-controlled frame bytes past the end of the static buffer into adjacent driver/kernel memory (up to roughly 14.8 KB in the worst case). This is a remotely/adjacently reachable out-of-bounds write (CWE-787) that can corrupt memory and cause denial of service or potentially code execution. The defect was introduced when OA SPI support was added (commit 0ca8b0756b1) and shipped in releases v3.7.0 through v4.4.0. The fix adds a bounds check that drops the oversized frame and resets the cursor before the copy. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-63975 8.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix possible crash on l2cap_ecred_conn_rsp If dcid is received for an already-assigned destination CID the spec requires that both channels to be discarded, but calling l2cap_chan_del may invalidate the tmp cursor created by list_for_each_entry_safe and in fact it is the wrong procedure as the chan->dcid may be assigned previously it really needs to be disconnected. Calling l2cap_chan_clone directly may still lead to l2cap_chan_del so instead schedule l2cap_chan_timeout with delay 0 to close the channel asynchronously. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-61592 8.8 high 0.00% anysphere, cursor Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions 1.7 and below, automatic loading of project-specific CLI configuration from the current working directory (<project>/.cursor/cli.json) could override certain global configurations in Cursor CLI. This allowed users running the CLI inside a malicious repository to be vulnerable to Remote Code Execution through a combination of permissive configuration (allowing shell commands) and prompt injection delivered via project-specific Rules (<project>/.cursor/rules/rule.mdc) or other mechanisms. The fix for this issue is currently available as a patch 2025.09.17-25b418f. As of October 3, 2025 there is no release version. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-61593 8.8 high 0.00% anysphere, cursor Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions 1.7 and below, a vulnerability in the way Cursor CLI Agent protects its sensitive files (i.e. */.cursor/cli.json) allows attackers to modify the content of the files through prompt injection, thus achieving remote code execution. A prompt injection can lead to full RCE through modifying sensitive files on case-insensitive filesystems. This issue is fixed in a commit, 25b418f, but has yet to be released as of October 3, 2025. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-64106 8.8 high 0.00% anysphere, cursor Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions 1.7.28 and below, an input validation flaw in Cursor's MCP server installation enables specially crafted deep-links to bypass the standard security warnings and conceal executed commands from users if they choose to accept the server. If an attacker is able to convince a victim to navigate to a malicious deeplink, the victim will not see the correct speedbump modal, and if they choose to accept, will execute commands specified by the attackers deeplink. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-64107 8.8 high 0.00% anysphere, cursor Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions 1.7.52 and below, manipulating internal settings may lead to RCE. Cursor detects path manipulation via forward slashes (./.cursor/./././././mcp.json etc.), and requires human approval to complete the operation. However, the same kind of manipulation using backslashes was not correctly detected, allowing an attacker who had already achieved prompt injection or some other level of control to overwrite sensitive editor files without approval on Windows machines. This issue is fixed in version 2.0. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-64108 8.8 high 0.00% anysphere, cursor Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions 1.7.44 and below, various NTFS path quirks allow a prompt injection attacker to circumvent sensitive file protections and overwrite files which Cursor requires human approval to overwrite. Modification of some of the protected files can lead to RCE. Must be chained with a prompt injection or malicious model attach. Only affects systems supporting NTFS. This issue is fixed in version 2.0. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-13323 8.7 high 0.00% eclipse, open_vsx In Open VSX Registry before 1.0.2, the /vscode/unpkg/ endpoint serves user-supplied HTML files with Content-Type: text/html and without a Content-Security-Policy or Content-Disposition: attachment response header. An unauthenticated attacker can register a publisher account, upload a VSIX containing a crafted HTML payload, and induce an authenticated user to visit the resulting URL. The browser renders the file inline in the open-vsx.org origin context, enabling session token exfiltration, persistent Personal Access Token (PAT) generation, and unauthorized publication of malicious extension versions. Because Open VSX extensions are distributed to VS Code, VSCodium, Cursor, Windsurf, and compatible editors, a compromised extension update constitutes a supply chain attack against all downstream users. CVE-2026-71847 8.7 high 0.00% no CPE yet Ruby JSON is a JSON implementation for Ruby. From 2.20.0 until 2.21.2, Ruby's JSON native C extension clears the consumed JSON::ResumableParser input buffer but leaves state.start, state.cursor, and state.end pointing into released storage. When partial_value reconstructs an incomplete object containing duplicate keys, the duplicate-key warning path calls cursor_position, which dereferences those stale pointers. This results in a heap-use-after-free and can terminate the Ruby process. An attacker who can supply JSON stream data to an application using JSON::ResumableParser may cause process termination when the application calls partial_value on incomplete attacker-controlled input containing duplicate object keys. This issue has been fixed in version 2.21.2. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2025-64110 8.7 high 0.00% anysphere, cursor Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions 1.7.23 and below, a logic bug allows a malicious agent to read sensitive files that should be protected via cursorignore. An attacker who has already achieved prompt injection, or a malicious model, could create a new cursorignore file which can invalidate the configuration of pre-existing ones. This could allow a malicious agent to read protected files. This issue is fixed in version 2.0. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-103414 8.4 high 0.00% no CPE yet The GUIX binary resource (theme) loader sizes its arena and populates it in two separate passes that traverse the resource file with independent cursor arithmetic. Because `gx_page_header_data_size` is never validated against the glyph data a page actually contains, the two passes can read different page headers for the same font page, derive different glyph counts, and reserve less than the load pass writes. The excess is written past the end of the arena, with content taken verbatim from the file. The overflowed buffer is allocated by GUIX itself, through `_gx_system_memory_allocator`, rather than supplied by the caller. The public API `gx_binres_theme_load()` takes no size parameter, so no amount of caller diligence prevents this. Reproduces in the shipped default configuration; `GX_BINARY_RESOURCE_SUPPORT` is enabled by default. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-64223 8.1 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: consume only present negotiated TTLM maps ieee80211_tid_to_link_map_size_ok() validates negotiated TTLM elements against the number of link-map entries indicated by link_map_presence. ieee80211_parse_neg_ttlm() must consume the same layout. The parser advanced its cursor for every TID, including TIDs whose presence bit is clear and therefore have no map bytes in the element. A sparse map can then make a later present TID read past the validated element. The bad bytes land in neg_ttlm->{up,down}link[tid] but are gated by valid_links before being applied to driver state, so a peer cannot turn the read into a policy change. Under KUnit + KASAN with an exact-sized element allocation the OOB read is reported as a slab-out-of-bounds; whether the same trigger fires under the production RX path depends on surrounding allocator state. Advance the cursor only when the current TID has a map present. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-98166 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/ttm: fix swapped-out resources never leaving their bulk_move range ttm_tt_swapout() returns the number of pages swapped out on success and a negative error code on failure; for a populated ttm it never returns zero. Commit b2ed01e7ad3d ("drm/ttm: Fix ttm_bo_swapout() infinite LRU walk on swapout failure") moved the bulk_move bookkeeping in ttm_bo_swapout_cb() under "if (!ret)", so the ttm_resource_del_bulk_move_unevictable() / ttm_resource_move_to_lru_tail() pair is now skipped on every successful swapout. The equivalent change for the shrinker in commit 1d59f36e95f7 ("drm/ttm: Fix ttm_bo_shrink() infinite LRU walk on backup failure") tests "lret > 0", which is what was intended here as well. Before b2ed01e7ad3d the resource was taken off the bulk_move before the swapout; since then a swapped-out resource stays inside its BO's bulk_move range (and on the manager LRU) although it is unevictable. When it is later freed or the BO leaves the bulk_move (ttm_resource_free(), ttm_bo_set_bulk_move() via amdgpu_vm_bo_del()), ttm_resource_del_bulk_move() skips it because of its !ttm_resource_unevictable() guard, so a range endpoint in pos->first / pos->last is left pointing at freed memory. The next ttm_lru_bulk_move_tail() or ttm_resource_add_bulk_move() on that cursor is a use-after-free, seen as the resv WARN in ttm_lru_bulk_move_add(), "list_del corruption" in ttm_resource_move_to_lru_tail() or a NULL dereference in ttm_resource_manager_next() -- minutes to hours after a hibernation, or at process exit / reboot following one. Samuel Ainsworth's analysis of drm/amd issue 5387 (see Link) identified the dangling cursor; the missing removal at swapout time is the reason it dangles. Testing the condition for success restores the removal. On an AMD Phoenix APU (ASUS UM3406GA, gfx1103) running suspend-then-hibernate on a 7.0.y stable kernel carrying the backport (Ubuntu 7.0.0-31) the bug crashed 5 of 18 hibernation cycles; a function profile of one hibernation showed 336 ttm_tt_swapout() calls and zero ttm_resource_del_bulk_move_unevictable() calls. With this change the removal happens for every swapped-out resource and 12 further cycles were clean. Mon 26 Oct

CVE-2026-98487 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mdb: restart port group walk after deletion br_mdb_flush_pgs() keeps a pointer-to-pointer cursor while walking mp->ports. br_multicast_del_pg() can re-enter the same MDB entry through br_multicast_sg_del_exclude_ports() and unlink other port groups. If the cursor points into one of those groups, the next iteration dereferences a stale cursor and can leave mp->ports pointing at freed memory. A following RTM_GETMDB exposes the dangling pointer: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in br_mdb_dump Read of size 8 br_mdb_dump rtnl_mdb_dump rtnl_dumpit netlink_dump Reset the cursor to mp->ports after every deletion. The deletion removes at least the selected group, so the restarted walk always makes progress. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-98443 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix cursor and pointer handling when recovering iunlink buckets LOLLM pointed out a bug in xlog_recover_iunlink_bucket: 1. We don't null out prev_ip after releasing it, which can lead to UAF problems if the inodegc flush call in the loop fails. at which point I noticed even more bugs: 2. If the inodegc flush inside the loop fails, we also leak @ip. 3. We set prev_agino to agino having already advanced agino, which results in inodes with i_prev_unlinked set to itself. 4. If we exit the bottom of the loop with prev_ip set, then prev_ip aliases ip and we also set its i_prev_unlinked to itself. Bugs 3 and 4 introduce loops into the unlinked list, though these loops don't surface because we immediately flush each unlinked inode after loading it. Fix all of these issues. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-93122 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: uac: validate rate list length before storing UAC1 and UAC2 configfs rate-list attributes parse a comma-separated list of sampling rates and store each parsed value in fixed-size arrays. The arrays have UAC_MAX_RATES entries, but the store paths do not check that the input contains at most that many tokens before writing through opts->name##s[i++]. Writing more than ten rates therefore writes past the end of the p_srates[] or c_srates[] array in struct f_uac1_opts or struct f_uac2_opts. With CONFIG_UBSAN_BOUNDS enabled, writing an 11-entry rate list to the UAC1 p_srate attribute reports: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds drivers/usb/gadget/function/f_uac1.c:1669:1 index 10 is out of range for type 'int [10]' __ubsan_handle_out_of_bounds.cold f_uac1_opts_p_srate_store configfs_write_iter vfs_write ksys_write do_syscall_64 The same reproducer against the UAC2 p_srate attribute reports: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds drivers/usb/gadget/function/f_uac2.c:2087:1 index 10 is out of range for type 'int [10]' __ubsan_handle_out_of_bounds.cold f_uac2_opts_p_srate_store configfs_write_iter vfs_write ksys_write do_syscall_64 Reject additional tokens once UAC_MAX_RATES entries have been parsed. Also keep the original kstrdup() pointer for kfree(), because strsep() advances the parsing cursor. Freeing the advanced cursor leaks the original buffer on successful parses and can free an interior pointer on some error paths. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-89574 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm array: validate array block headers on read array_block_check() validates blocknr and csum and nothing else, while node_check(), next to it, has bounded the structural fields since both were written. dm_array_cursor_next() takes its loop bound from the on-disk nr_entries and element_at() is unguarded pointer arithmetic, so a count larger than the block holds keeps the cursor in one block while the index grows past it and the read walks off the dm-bufio buffer -- dm_cache_load_mappings() drives it once per cache block at activation. Check the header against itself: reject a zero value_size, require max_entries to equal calc_max_entries() for that value_size and block size, and require nr_entries to fit. Equality rather than an upper bound, since a count below the real capacity trips BUG_ON() in fill_ablock() and trim_ablock(). Metadata dm-array writes satisfies all three. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-64098 7.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/virtio: use uninterruptible resv lock for plane updates virtio_gpu_cursor_plane_update() and virtio_gpu_resource_flush() lock the framebuffer BO's dma_resv via virtio_gpu_array_lock_resv() and ignore its return value. The function can fail with -EINTR from dma_resv_lock_interruptible() (signal during lock wait) or with -ENOMEM from dma_resv_reserve_fences() (fence slot allocation), leaving the resv lock not held. The queue path then walks the object array and calls dma_resv_add_fence(), which requires the lock held; with lockdep enabled this trips dma_resv_assert_held(): WARNING: drivers/dma-buf/dma-resv.c:296 at dma_resv_add_fence+0x71e/0x840 Call Trace: virtio_gpu_array_add_fence virtio_gpu_queue_ctrl_sgs virtio_gpu_queue_fenced_ctrl_buffer virtio_gpu_cursor_plane_update drm_atomic_helper_commit_planes drm_atomic_helper_commit_tail commit_tail drm_atomic_helper_commit drm_atomic_commit drm_atomic_helper_update_plane __setplane_atomic drm_mode_cursor_universal drm_mode_cursor_common drm_mode_cursor_ioctl drm_ioctl __x64_sys_ioctl Beyond the WARN, mutating the dma_resv fence list without the lock races with concurrent readers/writers and can corrupt the list. Both call sites run inside the .atomic_update plane callback, which DRM atomic helpers do not allow to fail (by the time it runs, the commit has been signed off to userspace and there is no clean rollback path). Moving the lock acquisition to .prepare_fb was rejected because the broader lock scope deadlocks against other BO locking paths in the same atomic commit. Introduce virtio_gpu_lock_one_resv_uninterruptible() that uses dma_resv_lock() instead of dma_resv_lock_interruptible(). This eliminates the -EINTR failure mode -- the realistic syzbot trigger -- without extending the lock hold across the commit. The helper locks a single BO and rejects nents > 1 with -EINVAL; both fix sites lock exactly one BO. Use it from virtio_gpu_cursor_plane_update() and virtio_gpu_resource_flush(); check the return value to handle the remaining -ENOMEM case from dma_resv_reserve_fences() by freeing the objs and skipping the plane update for that frame. The framebuffer BOs touched here are not shared with other contexts and lock contention is expected to be brief, so the loss of signal-interruptibility is acceptable. Other callers of virtio_gpu_array_lock_resv() (the ioctl paths) continue to use the interruptible variant. The bug was reported by syzbot, triggered via fault injection (fail_nth) on the DRM_IOCTL_MODE_CURSOR path, which forces the -ENOMEM branch in dma_resv_reserve_fences(). 19 Oct

CVE-2026-46227 7.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: revalidate list cursor after sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc() in SCTP_SENDALL The SCTP_SENDALL path in sctp_sendmsg() iterates ep->asocs with list_for_each_entry_safe(), which caches the next entry in @tmp before the loop body runs. The body calls sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc(), which may drop the socket lock inside sctp_wait_for_sndbuf(). While the lock is dropped, another thread can SCTP_SOCKOPT_PEELOFF the association cached in @tmp, migrating it to a new endpoint via sctp_sock_migrate() (list_del_init() + list_add_tail() to newep->asocs), and optionally close the new socket which frees the association via kfree_rcu(). The cached @tmp can also be freed by a network ABORT for that association, processed in softirq while the lock is dropped. sctp_wait_for_sndbuf() revalidates @asoc (the current entry) on re-lock via the "sk != asoc->base.sk" and "asoc->base.dead" checks, but nothing revalidates @tmp. After a successful return, the iterator advances to the stale @tmp, yielding either a use-after-free (if the peeled socket was closed) or a list-walk onto the new endpoint's list head (type confusion of &newep->asocs as a struct sctp_association *). Both are reachable from CapEff=0; the type-confusion path gives controlled indirect call via the outqueue.sched->init_sid pointer. Fix by re-deriving @tmp from @asoc after sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc() returns. @asoc is known to still be on ep->asocs at that point: the only callers that list_del an association from ep->asocs are sctp_association_free() (which sets asoc->base.dead) and sctp_assoc_migrate() (which changes asoc->base.sk), and sctp_wait_for_sndbuf() checks both under the lock before any successful return; a tripped check propagates as err < 0 and the loop bails before the re-derive. The SCTP_ABORT path in sctp_sendmsg_check_sflags() returns 0 and the loop hits 'continue' before sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc() is ever called, so the @tmp cached by list_for_each_entry_safe() still covers the lock-held free that ba59fb027307 ("sctp: walk the list of asoc safely") was added for. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-31507 7.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: fix double-free of smc_spd_priv when tee() duplicates splice pipe buffer smc_rx_splice() allocates one smc_spd_priv per pipe_buffer and stores the pointer in pipe_buffer.private. The pipe_buf_operations for these buffers used .get = generic_pipe_buf_get, which only increments the page reference count when tee(2) duplicates a pipe buffer. The smc_spd_priv pointer itself was not handled, so after tee() both the original and the cloned pipe_buffer share the same smc_spd_priv *. When both pipes are subsequently released, smc_rx_pipe_buf_release() is called twice against the same object: 1st call: kfree(priv) sock_put(sk) smc_rx_update_cons() [correct] 2nd call: kfree(priv) sock_put(sk) smc_rx_update_cons() [UAF] KASAN reports a slab-use-after-free in smc_rx_pipe_buf_release(), which then escalates to a NULL-pointer dereference and kernel panic via smc_rx_update_consumer() when it chases the freed priv->smc pointer: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in smc_rx_pipe_buf_release+0x78/0x2a0 Read of size 8 at addr ffff888004a45740 by task smc_splice_tee_/74 Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl+0x53/0x70 print_report+0xce/0x650 kasan_report+0xc6/0x100 smc_rx_pipe_buf_release+0x78/0x2a0 free_pipe_info+0xd4/0x130 pipe_release+0x142/0x160 __fput+0x1c6/0x490 __x64_sys_close+0x4f/0x90 do_syscall_64+0xa6/0x1a0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f </TASK> BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000020 RIP: 0010:smc_rx_update_consumer+0x8d/0x350 Call Trace: <TASK> smc_rx_pipe_buf_release+0x121/0x2a0 free_pipe_info+0xd4/0x130 pipe_release+0x142/0x160 __fput+0x1c6/0x490 __x64_sys_close+0x4f/0x90 do_syscall_64+0xa6/0x1a0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f </TASK> Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception Beyond the memory-safety problem, duplicating an SMC splice buffer is semantically questionable: smc_rx_update_cons() would advance the consumer cursor twice for the same data, corrupting receive-window accounting. A refcount on smc_spd_priv could fix the double-free, but the cursor-accounting issue would still need to be addressed separately. The .get callback is invoked by both tee(2) and splice_pipe_to_pipe() for partial transfers; both will now return -EFAULT. Users who need to duplicate SMC socket data must use a copy-based read path. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-97548 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix the rtrmap and rtrefcount _maxlevels_ondisk functions The _maxlevels_ondisk functions are used to compute the size of in-memory btree cursors for each btree type. CVE-2026-74635 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: bitblit: bound-check glyph index in bit_cursor() bit_cursor() fetches the glyph under the cursor with c = scr_readw(vc_pos); src = vc_font.data + ((c & charmask) * w * height); where charmask is 0x1ff when vc_hi_font_mask is set. The screen buffer value comes directly from scr_readw() and may be larger than the current font's glyph count. Syzkaller triggers this via vcs_write(). The Call Trace shows vcs_write() in vc_screen.c writing an arbitrary 16-bit value with writev() to /dev/vcsa, which vcs_write_buf() in vc_screen.c stores via vcs_scr_writew() without checking charcount. The stored value is later read in bit_cursor() in bitblit.c. When the font is changed from a font with 512 glyphs to a font with 256 glyphs, the screen buffer can retain characters with the high bit set from the previous mode, which could also produce the same out-of-bounds access. BUG: KASAN: global-out-of-bounds in soft_cursor+0x378/0x6bc drivers/video/fbdev/core/softcursor.c:70 Read of size 16 at addr ffff800086c57970 Call Trace: soft_cursor+0x378/0x6bc drivers/video/fbdev/core/softcursor.c:70 bit_cursor+0xa90/0x1108 drivers/video/fbdev/core/bitblit.c:365 fbcon_cursor+0x344/0x498 drivers/video/fbdev/core/fbcon.c:1427 hide_cursor+0xdc/0x2d0 drivers/tty/vt/vt.c:883 update_region+0x100/0x18c drivers/tty/vt/vt.c:669 vcs_write+0x8ec/0xaf0 drivers/tty/vt/vc_screen.c:685 bit_putcs_aligned() and bit_putcs_unaligned() already clamp the glyph index to vc_font.charcount. Apply the same clamp in bit_cursor() after extracting the attribute and masking, before indexing fontdata. The fix completes the bounds checking started in commit 18c4ef4e765a ("fbdev: bitblit: bound-check glyph index in bit_putcs*"), which missed the cursor path. This change should be safe because the clamp reuses the existing contract from fbcon: charcount is maintained under console_lock in con_font_set() and fbcon_font_set(), and hi_font_mask is cleared when switching from 512 to 256 glyphs. When stale screen data with high bits remains after a font switch, or when vcs_write() stores an arbitrary value, clamping the index to 0 prevents the out-of-bounds read without changing cursor semantics — the same fallback bit_putcs uses. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-72135 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tpm: Make the TPM character devices non-seekable The TPM character devices expose a sequential command/response interface, but their open handlers leave FMODE_PREAD and FMODE_PWRITE enabled. After a command leaves a response pending, pread(fd, buf, 16, 0x1400) passes 0x1400 as *off to tpm_common_read(). The transfer length is bounded by response_length, but the offset is used unchecked when forming data_buffer + *off. A sufficiently large offset therefore causes an out-of-bounds heap read through copy_to_user() and, if the copy succeeds, an out-of-bounds zero-write through the following memset(). Positional I/O does not provide coherent semantics for this interface. An arbitrary pread offset cannot represent how much of a response has been consumed sequentially. The write callback always stores a command at the start of data_buffer, while pwrite() does not update file->f_pos and can leave the sequential read cursor stale. Call nonseekable_open() from both open handlers. This removes FMODE_PREAD and FMODE_PWRITE, causing positional reads and writes to fail with -ESPIPE before reaching the TPM callbacks, and explicitly marks the files non-seekable. Normal read() and write() continue to use the existing sequential f_pos cursor, leaving the response state machine unchanged. Tested on Linux 6.12 with KASAN and a swtpm TPM2 device: - sequential partial reads returned the complete response - pread() and preadv() with offset 0x1400 returned -ESPIPE - pwrite() and pwritev() with offset zero returned -ESPIPE - the pending response remained intact after the rejected operations - a subsequent normal command/response cycle completed normally - no KASAN report was produced. 16 Oct

CVE-2026-49147 7.5 high 0.00% no CPE yet App::Ack versions through 3.10.0 for Perl print unsanitised terminal escape sequences from filenames in several output modes. When ack prints a filename whose basename contains terminal control bytes such as ANSI escape sequences, those bytes reach the terminal unchanged. Version 3.10.0 added a _safe_filename helper that sanitises the filenames printed by -f, -g, the colored match heading, and per-match lines, but the --show-types, -l/-L, and -c paths still emit the raw filename. A file whose name embeds cursor-movement or color escapes can overwrite or recolor earlier terminal output, or be passed unchanged to a downstream consumer. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-107391 7.5 high 0.00% borewit, music-metadata music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files. In the public development revision introduced after 11.14.0, a development-branch regression in the MP4 stsd sample-description parser allows an attacker-controlled sample-entry size of zero to prevent the StsdAtom.get cursor from advancing while an attacker-controlled entry_count keeps the synchronous loop running. A crafted MP4-family input can block the Node.js event loop and grow the sample-description table until the process is terminated or exhausts memory. The vulnerable change was present on the public master branch but was not included in music-metadata 11.14.0 or any earlier npm release, and version 11.16.0 contains the fix. This issue is fixed in version 11.16.0. 13 Oct
