CVE-2026-50733 8.6 high 1.0% no CPE yet Markdown Preview Enhanced before 0.8.28 parses WaveDrom diagrams by evaluating untrusted markdown content with eval(), allowing arbitrary JavaScript execution. The flaw affects every render path - the live preview (window.eval) and presentation mode plus HTML export (the bundled WaveDrom.ProcessAll()/eva() helpers) - and can also be triggered through a <script type="WaveDrom"> element injected via raw HTML in markdown. When a victim previews or exports a crafted markdown document, an attacker can execute arbitrary code, leading to arbitrary file write. Fixed in 0.8.28 by parsing with JSON5.parse() and sanitizing WaveDrom data scripts to inert strict JSON. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-71437 6.5 medium 1.0% no CPE yet Mermaid is a JavaScript tool that uses Markdown-inspired text to create and modify diagrams and charts. From version 11.5.0 until 11.16.1, Mermaid Architecture Diagrams are vulnerable to prototype pollution when a diagram defines a group with an id of __proto__. Because the group id is used directly as an object property key without validation, an attacker who can supply diagram text can pollute Object.prototype, potentially affecting the behavior of the embedding application. This issue is fixed in version 11.16.1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-50159 5.3 medium 1.0% no CPE yet Mermaid is a JavaScript tool that uses Markdown-inspired text to create and modify diagrams and charts. Prior to 10.9.8 and 11.16.1, Mermaid is vulnerable to CSS injection via sibling combinator selectors generated from diagram-supplied class or id names. An attacker who can supply diagram text can inject arbitrary CSS into the rendered page, potentially altering the appearance or behavior of unrelated page elements. This issue is fixed in versions 10.9.8 and 11.16.1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-71436 5.3 medium 1.0% no CPE yet Mermaid is a JavaScript tool that uses Markdown-inspired text to create and modify diagrams and charts. From version 10.6.0 until 10.9.8 and 11.16.1, Mermaid XY Charts are vulnerable to an infinite loop denial of service in the setXAxisRangeData function when configuring an X-Axis with invalid parameters. Because each loop iteration appends an element to an array, this generally causes a RangeError to appear after a few seconds, but it may instead cause the page or JavaScript process to crash from memory exhaustion, depending on the environment. This issue is fixed in versions 10.9.8 and 11.16.1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-71439 5.3 medium 1.0% no CPE yet Mermaid is a JavaScript tool that uses Markdown-inspired text to create and modify diagrams and charts. From version 11.6.0 until 11.16.1, Mermaid Radar Diagrams allow arbitrary large values for the ticks parameter, which can cause high CPU usage and freeze the rendering webpage or JavaScript process for long periods of time, potentially until the process is killed from memory exhaustion. This issue is fixed in version 11.16.1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-26226 5.3 medium 1.0% no CPE yet beautiful-mermaid versions prior to 0.1.3 contain an SVG attribute injection issue that can lead to cross-site scripting (XSS) when rendering attacker-controlled Mermaid diagrams. User-controlled values from Mermaid style and classDef directives are interpolated into SVG attribute values without proper escaping, allowing crafted input to break out of an attribute context and inject arbitrary SVG elements/attributes into the rendered output. When the generated SVG is embedded in a web page, this can result in script execution in the context of the embedding origin. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-59179 8.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet OpenHop is a tool for creating interactive data-flow diagrams. Prior to 0.3.7, `@openhop/server` passes unauthenticated flow route parameters from `GET /api/flows/:id` and `DELETE /api/flows/:id` in `packages/server/src/routes.ts` to `FlowStore.filePath()` in `packages/server/src/store.ts` without an identifier allow-list. The router applies `decodeURIComponent` to the id, and `path.join()` then normalizes traversal outside the configured flow directory after appending the .yaml extension. An attacker can read accessible YAML files as YAML-parsed JSON or permanently delete accessible .yaml files outside that directory, exposing configuration or secrets and disrupting dependent services. In `packages/server/src/index.ts`, CORS `origin: true` permits any browser origin, enabling a malicious webpage to target a loopback-bound instance. Docker deployments default to `HOST=0.0.0.0` and permit direct unauthenticated network access. This issue is fixed in repository release 0.3.7. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-46642 6.1 medium 0.00% diagrams, drawio draw.io is a configurable diagramming and whiteboarding application. Prior to version 29.7.12, a crafted .drawio file can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the editor's origin when the file is opened. The vulnerability is not in the label sanitizer (which works correctly on the rendering path) but in a feature-detection routine in the Text Format panel that reads the raw cell label and assigns it to a detached element's innerHTML without sanitization. Browsers fire onerror for failed image loads even on detached elements, so an <img src=x onerror=...> payload in any cell label triggers script execution as soon as the cell is selected — which import does automatically. This issue has been patched in version 29.7.12. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2025-61589 5.9 medium 0.00% anysphere, cursor Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions 1.6 and below, Mermaid (a to render diagrams) allows embedding images which then get rendered by Cursor in the chat box. An attacker can use this to exfiltrate sensitive information to a third-party attacker controlled server through an image fetch after successfully performing a prompt injection. A malicious model (or hallucination/backdoor) might also trigger this exploit at will. This issue requires prompt injection from malicious data (web, image upload, source code) in order to exploit. In that case, it can send sensitive information to an attacker-controlled external server. Some additional bypasses not covered in the initial fix to this issue were discovered, see GHSA-43wj-mwcc-x93p. This issue is fixed in version 1.7. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-40608 5.5 medium 0.00% dayuanjiang, next_ai_draw.io Next AI Draw.io is a next.js web application that integrates AI capabilities with draw.io diagrams. Prior to 0.4.15, the embedded HTTP sidecar contains three POST handlers (/api/state, /api/restore, and /api/history-svg) that process incoming requests by accumulating the entire request body into a JavaScript string without any size limitations. Node.js buffers the entire payload in the V8 heap. Sending a sufficiently large body (e.g., 500 MiB or more) will exhaust the process heap memory, leading to an Out-of-Memory (OOM) error that crashes the MCP server. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.4.15. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-42140 4.4 medium 0.00% no CPE yet PlantUML Macro is a macro for rendering UML diagrams from simple textual schemes. Prior to version 2.4.1, the PlantUML Macro is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF). The macro allows users to specify an alternative PlantUML server via the server parameter. However, the application does not validate the supplied URL. An attacker can supply an internal IP address or a malicious external URL. The XWiki server will attempt to connect to this URL to "render" the diagram. This issue has been patched in version 2.4.1. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-71438 2.4 low 0.00% no CPE yet Mermaid is a JavaScript tool that uses Markdown-inspired text to create and modify diagrams and charts. Prior to 10.9.8 and 11.16.1, Mermaid's configuration setters (mermaid.initialize, mermaidAPI.setConfig, and mermaidAPI.updateSiteConfig) merge caller-supplied configuration into Mermaid's internal config using the assignWithDepth deep-merge helper, which is vulnerable to prototype pollution. This is only exploitable if an application forwards untrusted data directly into one of these configuration entry points, which is outside their documented usage; diagram-supplied configuration (e.g. %%{init: {}}%% or YAML frontmatter) is not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 10.9.8 and 11.16.1. Sat 24 Oct
