| CVE-2026-2332exploit | 9.1 critical | 1.0% | eclipse, jetty | In Eclipse Jetty, the HTTP/1.1 parser is vulnerable to request smuggling when chunk extensions are used, similar to the "funky chunks" techniques outlined here: * https://w4ke.info/2025/06/18/funky-chunks.html * https://w4ke.info/2025/10/29/funky-chunks-2.html Jetty terminates chunk extension parsing at \r\n inside quoted strings instead of treating this as an error. POST / HTTP/1.1 Host: localhost Transfer-Encoding: chunked 1;ext="val X 0 GET /smuggled HTTP/1.1 ... Note how the chunk extension does not close the double quotes, and it is able to inject a smuggled request. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-7411 | 10.0 critical | 4.0% | no CPE yet | In Eclipse BaSyx Java Server SDK versions prior to 2.0.0-milestone-10, inadequate path normalization in the Submodel HTTP API allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to perform a path traversal attack. By supplying a maliciously crafted fileName parameter during a file upload operation, an attacker can bypass intended storage boundaries and write arbitrary files to any location on the host filesystem accessible by the Java process. This can lead to Remote Code Execution (RCE) and complete system compromise. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-12609 | 7.5 high | 2.0% | eclipse, theia | In Eclipse Theia versions 1.66.0 and up until including 1.73.1, the `@theia/plugin-ext` backend exposes the `/hostedPlugin/:pluginId/:path(*)` HTTP endpoint, which resolves the requested file path with `path.resolve(localPath, filePath)` without verifying that the resolved path stays within the plugin's directory. An unauthenticated network attacker can send percent-encoded `../` sequences (`%2e%2e%2f`) that decode into the path parameter and escape the plugin directory, allowing arbitrary files readable by the Theia backend process to be retrieved. Plugin IDs are derived deterministically from a plugin's publisher and name, so built-in plugins serve as reliable anchors that require no prior knowledge of the target system. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2023-54344 | 9.3 critical | 1.0% | no CPE yet | Eclipse Equinox OSGi 3.7.2 and earlier contains a remote code execution vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary commands by sending payloads to the console interface. Attackers can connect to the OSGi console port and send base64-encoded bash commands wrapped in fork directives to achieve code execution and establish reverse shell connections. | 16 h ago |
| CVE-2025-55089 | 9.2 critical | 1.0% | eclipse, threadx_filex | In FileX before 6.4.2, the file support module for Eclipse Foundation ThreadX, there was a possible buffer overflow in the FileX RAM disk driver. It could cause a remote execurtion after receiving a crafted sequence of packets | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2026-60007 | 9.1 critical | 1.0% | eclipse, milo | In Eclipse Milo versions 0.6.0 through 1.1.4, username-token processing returns distinguishable errors for invalid RSA PKCS#1 v1.5 padding and other authentication failures, allowing an on-path attacker who captures a victim's `Basic128Rsa15`-encrypted username token to use repeated unauthenticated `ActivateSession` requests as a padding oracle, recover the victim's password, and authenticate with the recovered credentials. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2025-55085 | 8.8 high | 1.0% | eclipse, threadx_netx_duo | In NextX Duo before 6.4.4, in the HTTP client module, the network support code for Eclipse Foundation ThreadX, the parsing of HTTP header fields was missing bounds verification. A crafted server response could cause undefined behavior. | 9 Oct |
| CVE-2026-6918 | 8.7 high | 1.0% | eclipse, openj9 | In Eclipse Open9J versions 0.21 to 0.58, a pre-authentication remote attacker can crash JITServer by sending a 32-byte crafted TCP message. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-58465 | 8.7 high | 1.0% | no CPE yet | Eclipse Wakaama before snapshot/2026-05-26 contains an unbounded memory allocation vulnerability in the CoAP Block1 handler within coap/block.c that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to exhaust server memory by sending a sequence of Block1 PUT requests with incrementing block numbers. Attackers can target the registration endpoint over UDP without authentication, causing the server to repeatedly reallocate a growing accumulation buffer by appending each block payload without enforcing any maximum total size limit, resulting in denial of service through memory exhaustion. | Sun 25 Oct |
| CVE-2026-63252 | 8.7 high | 1.0% | eclipse, milo | In Eclipse Milo versions 0.6.0 through 1.1.4, UASC server transport handlers fail to release retained partial message chunks when a channel disconnects, allowing a remote unauthenticated client to exhaust pooled direct memory by repeatedly sending incomplete chunks and disconnecting, potentially terminating the server. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-44688 | 8.4 high | 1.0% | eclipse, theia | In Eclipse Theia versions prior to 1.71.0, the AI chat agent processed workspace file and directory names as part of its prompt context without distinguishing them from system instructions. An attacker could craft a malicious repository with adversarial directory or file names that, when analyzed by the AI agent, would cause the agent to follow attacker-controlled instructions (indirect prompt injection). Combined with other AI chat features available in untrusted workspaces, this enabled attack chains leading to data exfiltration via Markdown image rendering or arbitrary command execution via task definitions. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-46580 | 8.4 high | 1.0% | eclipse, theia | In Eclipse Theia versions prior to 1.71.0, files matching the pattern .prompts/*.prompttemplate in a workspace were automatically loaded and could override or extend the AI agent's system prompts. An attacker could craft a malicious repository containing prompt template files that, when the workspace was opened in Theia, replaced the AI's system instructions with attacker-controlled content (indirect prompt injection). Combined with other AI chat features available in untrusted workspaces, this enabled attack chains leading to data exfiltration via Markdown image rendering or arbitrary command execution via task definitions. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-61891 | 7.5 high | 1.0% | eclipse, theia | In Eclipse Theia versions up to and including 1.73.1, the `@theia/filesystem` backend exposes HTTP file-download endpoints (`GET /file`, `GET /files/`, `PUT /files/`) that convert a client-supplied URI directly to a filesystem path and stream the file, without confining it to the workspace or any allow-listed root. In browser (non-Electron) deployments the connection token is enforced only on WebSocket upgrades; the HTTP middleware in `@theia/core` re-issues the cookie and calls `next()` without rejecting tokenless HTTP requests, so these endpoints are reachable without a valid token. As a result an unauthenticated client can read any file readable by the backend process, including files outside the opened workspace (for example `/etc/hosts`, SSH keys, or tokens). Electron mode uses a separate `ElectronSecurityToken` and is not affected via this path. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-46581 | 7.5 high | 1.0% | eclipse, mojarra | In Eclipse Mojarra versions 2.3 and following, URL handing in `DefaultFaceletFactory` does not properly sanitize and/or block remote URLs, allowing an attacker to specify a URL to a remote Facelet which will be included and processed as part of the normal request, with the privileges of the target server. This could allow access to restricted files such as `WEB-INF/web.xml` or `/etc/passwd`. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-16441 | 6.9 medium | 1.0% | eclipse, openj9 | In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions up to 0.60, when executing class files where a previously concrete superclass method has been recompiled as abstract, execution is incorrectly delegated to an interface default method. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-61387 | 6.9 medium | 1.0% | eclipse, milo | In Eclipse Milo versions 1.0.0 through 1.1.4, monitored-item quota accounting is not exception-safe: if item creation fails with an unchecked error, the server-global reservation is not restored. Deeply nested PubSub ExtensionObjects in a `CreateMonitoredItems` event filter can trigger a `StackOverflowError` during decoding, allowing an unauthenticated remote client to exhaust a finite global monitored-item quota and prevent all clients from creating new monitored items until restart. Existing monitored items and other server functions remain unaffected. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2025-11965 | 6.3 medium | 1.0% | eclipse, vert.x | In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.21] and [5.0.0, 5.0.4], a StaticHandler configuration for restricting access to hidden files fails to restrict access to hidden directories, allowing unauthorized users to retrieve files within them (e.g. '.git/config'). | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2026-16243 | 5.7 medium | 1.0% | eclipse, omr | In Eclipse OMR versions up to 0.11, the arraycmp SIMD implementation for Z and P does not check if the number of bytes to compare is zero. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-9158 | 5.2 medium | 1.0% | eclipse, 4diac_forte | In Eclipse 4diac FORTE versions 3.0.0 to 3.1.0, a specially crafted DELETE connection command to the management interface can lead to a dangling pointer. This allows subsequent commands to access freed memory (use-after-free). | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2025-55100 | 2.4 low | 1.0% | eclipse, threadx_usbx | In USBX before 6.4.3, the USB support module for Eclipse Foundation ThreadX, there was a potential out of bound read issue in _ux_host_class_audio10_sam_parse_func() when parsing a list of sampling frequencies. | 9 Oct |
| CVE-2026-15704 | 9.8 critical | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In Eclipse BaSyx Go Components versions up to and including 1.0.0, ABAC-enabled deployments are vulnerable to an authorization bypass caused by inconsistent trailing-slash handling between the ABAC middleware and the HTTP router. The shared router configuration used Chi's `middleware.StripSlashes`, so a request such as `GET /shells/` was dispatched to the registered `GET /shells` route. However, the ABAC middleware evaluated the original request path including the trailing slash. If ABAC route lookup did not find a matching slash-suffixed route, the request was passed onward and the router then stripped the slash and executed the protected handler without the intended ABAC authorization decision and without the expected ABAC query filters. An unauthenticated or unauthorized network attacker could append a trailing slash to protected API routes to reach handlers that should have been denied by ABAC policy. Depending on the exposed component, HTTP method, and deployed policy, this could allow unauthorized read, create, update, delete, or upload operations. The issue affects ABAC-enabled deployments of services that use the shared router and ABAC middleware, including AAS Repository, Submodel Repository, AAS Registry, Submodel Registry, Concept Description Repository, Discovery, AAS Environment upload, and related services. The issue is fixed in Eclipse BaSyx Go Components v1.0.1. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-113620 | 9.8 critical | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In Eclipse ioFog Controller versions 3.8.0 through 3.9.1, operator WebSocket upgrades on the exec and log routes do not verify the bearer JWT. The payload is decoded and its groups or roles are used as RBAC subjects. A self-minted token whose groups contain admin matches the built-in admin role, with no account and no RoleBinding. The attacker can open an exec or log session for a microservice or fog whose UUID they already know. HTTP routes are not affected: they verify the token before RBAC. Agent WebSockets verify the fog token and are not affected. | 20 Oct |
| CVE-2026-12605 | 9.6 critical | 0.00% | eclipse, glassfish | In Eclipse GlassFish versions 8.0.x before 8.0.4, CSRF + SSRF in DownloadServlet ContentSources leaks the admin `gfresttoken` to attacker-controlled host if the victim is authenticated into the Admin Console -\> full unauthenticated takeover of Eclipse GlassFish domain until the token expires. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2025-12383 | 9.4 critical | 0.00% | eclipse, jersey | In Eclipse Jersey versions 2.45, 3.0.16, 3.1.9 a race condition can cause ignoring of critical SSL configurations - such as mutual authentication, custom key/trust stores, and other security settings. This issue may result in SSLHandshakeException under normal circumstances, but under certain conditions, it could lead to unauthorized trust in insecure servers (see PoC) | 18 Oct |
| CVE-2023-54342 | 9.3 critical | 0.00% | no CPE yet | Eclipse Equinox OSGi versions 3.8 through 3.18 contain a remote code execution vulnerability in the console interface that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code by exploiting the fork command functionality. Attackers can establish a telnet connection to the OSGi console, perform a telnet handshake, and send fork commands to download and execute malicious Java code, establishing a reverse shell connection. | 16 h ago |
| CVE-2026-102469 | 9.2 critical | 0.00% | eclipse, vert.x | In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.34] or [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the Vert.x DB2 client (vertx-db2-client) contains DRDA protocol handling code that deserializes User Defined Type (UDT) column data using a bare ObjectInputStream.readObject() call with no ObjectInputFilter or class allowlist. This code path is triggered when a DRDA server sends a result set with a column tagged as UDT (FDOCA protocol LID 0x50). However, DB2 does not support this type of UDT. The FDOCA 0x50 type is never sent by a legitimate DB2 server. Nevertheless, a malicious or man-in-the-middle DRDA server could craft a response with a 0x50-tagged column, causing the client to deserialize arbitrary attacker-controlled bytes on the Vert.x event loop before any application code can inspect or reject the data. If a Java deserialization gadget chain is present on the application's classpath, this enables remote code execution. Without a gadget chain, denial of service is possible via crafted object graphs. TLS is disabled by default, making man-in-the-middle exploitation feasible. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-db2-client. | 20 Oct |
| CVE-2026-115216 | 9.1 critical | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In Eclipse ioFog Operator versions 3.8.0 before 3.9.2, TLS certificate verification is disabled when the operator contacts the Controller API and when it logs in to an external OIDC issuer. An on-path attacker can present any certificate, capture the OAuth client secret (external mode) or the Controller bootstrap admin password (embedded mode with Controller HTTPS enabled), and supply the access token the operator stores for later Controller API calls. v3.8 removed Keycloak. The exposed credential is not a Keycloak realm-admin secret. | Tue 27 Oct |
| CVE-2026-102476 | 9.1 critical | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In Eclipse Vert.x versions [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the Vert.x HTTP client relies on an SSL context for efficiency purpose, the key of this cache should reflect entirely the SSL semantics of the desired SSL properties. It is possible for a client to ask for an SSL context and obtain an SSL context with weaker properties, for instance a context with hostname validation and obtain a context ignoring hostname validation. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-core. | 16 Oct |
| CVE-2026-10054 | 8.8 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In affected versions of Eclipse Theia (1.8.1 and later), the browser backend exposes privileged terminal RPC over WebSocket (/services/shell-terminal, /services/terminals/:id) without service-level authentication. WebSocket origin validation in @theia/core is fail-open: connections are accepted when the Origin header is missing or when no THEIA_HOSTS allowlist is configured (the default). The Socket.IO integration additionally replaces the real Origin header with a client-supplied fix-origin header that an attacker can control or omit. As a result, a foreign-origin web page visited by a user with a running Theia instance can open the /services WebSocket namespace, invoke terminal creation, attach to the resulting terminal data channel, execute arbitrary OS commands, and read their output. This affects both local developer setups (drive-by attack) and hosted or tunneled deployments without strong external authentication. A fix is in development that enforces same-origin validation by default, removes trust in the fix-origin header, gates HTTP and WebSocket access on a SameSite=Strict; HttpOnly connection-token cookie, and sanitizes shell terminal creation options. | Sun 25 Oct |
| CVE-2026-9561 | 8.8 high | 0.00% | eclipse, kura | Eclipse Kura versions prior to 5.6.2 trust the client-supplied X-Forwarded-For HTTP header as the authoritative source of the client IP address in audit log entries. The org.eclipse.kura.web2 (Web Console) and org.eclipse.kura.rest.provider (REST API) components use this header as the primary IP source when initializing audit context, and org.eclipse.kura.jetty.customizer unconditionally installs Jetty's ForwardedRequestCustomizer on all HTTP/HTTPS connectors, causing HttpServletRequest.getRemoteAddr() to reflect the attacker-controlled header value. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability to bypass IP-based brute-force protections — such as fail2ban — by spoofing the logged IP address to a non-routable value, allowing a brute-force attack to proceed undetected, or to cause a denial of service against a third party by injecting a victim's IP address and triggering a ban on that address. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-60009 | 8.8 high | 0.00% | eclipse, theia | In Eclipse Theia versions up to and including 1.73.1, the `@theia/filesystem` backend binds `POST /file-upload` in every filesystem-enabled deployment. The handler takes an attacker-supplied absolute path from the multipart `uri` field and calls `fs.move(tmp, target, { overwrite: true })` with no workspace confinement and no authentication. In browser (non-Electron) deployments the connection token is enforced only on WebSocket upgrades; the HTTP middleware in `@theia/core` re-issues the cookie and calls `next()` without rejecting tokenless HTTP requests. Because `multipart/form-data` is a CORS-safelisted request type, a cross-origin web page can trigger the write with no preflight and no credentials, resulting in an unauthenticated arbitrary file write outside the workspace to any absolute path the backend process can write. This can escalate to remote code execution, for example by overwriting a startup-executed file such as `~/.bashrc`. Electron mode uses a separate `ElectronSecurityToken` and is not affected via this path. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-58080 | 8.8 high | 0.00% | eclipse, milo | In Eclipse Milo versions 1.0.0 through 1.1.4, `OpcUaServerConfig.copy()` fails to preserve a configured `RoleMapper`. On servers that rely on role permissions and construct the running configuration through `copy()`, sessions receive no role IDs and the default access controller skips role-permission checks, allowing an anonymous client where anonymous sessions are permitted to read role-permission metadata, invoke protected methods, or delete protected nodes. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-18353 | 8.8 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | PIA's `POST /v1/upload/sbom` endpoint accepts a Bearer JWT and checks its **unverified** `iss` claim against an issuer allowlist using Python's `urlparse` before performing OIDC discovery with `requests`. Because `urlparse` and `requests`/`urllib3` parse an authority string containing a backslash (e.g. `https://attacker-host\@ci.eclipse.org/`) into *different* hostnames, an attacker can craft an issuer that passes the allowlist check yet drives `requests` — and subsequently `urllib.request.urlopen` for JWKS retrieval — to connect to an arbitrary attacker-chosen host, port, and scheme. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-18661 | 8.8 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In Eclipse Jetty, across various versions of `jetty-annotations`, and `jetty-eeN-annotations`, the Jakarta Spec authoritative url-pattern rules for mixed `@ServletSecurity` annotation, and `web.xml` defined `security-constraint` on the same `url-pattern` were not being applied if the `web.xml` had more than 1 `url-pattern` for a servlet, and had a `security-constraint` applying to only some of those `url-pattern` definitions. | 15 Oct |
| CVE-2026-18660 | 8.8 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In Eclipse Jetty, across various versions of `jetty-server`, and `jetty-proxy`, the host whitelist/blacklist is case-sensitive, and would allow hosts through that only differ by case. | 15 Oct |
| CVE-2026-102479 | 8.7 high | 0.00% | eclipse, vert.x | In Eclipse Vert.x versions [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the Vert.x HTTP/1.x decoder uses a canonicalization for well known HTTP headers, the canonicalization process interprets well crafted headers as headers of this list, allowing for instance Content-Xength to be interpeted as Content-Length. This can be exploited for request smuggling purpose. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-core. | 14 h ago |
| CVE-2026-111074 | 8.7 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions prior to 0.63.0, the JITServer component is vulnerable to a pre-authentication remote denial of service. When processing the initial 4-byte length field of an incoming TCP connection, an integer overflow in `MessageBuffer::computeRequiredCapacity()` causes the receiving compilation worker thread to enter an infinite loop consuming ~100% CPU. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by opening a small number of crafted TCP connections to exhaust the entire worker thread pool, silently halting compilation services for all connected client JVMs. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-111075 | 8.7 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions prior to 0.63.0, the JITServer component fails to perform cross-field validation on attacker-controlled `_size`, `_paddingSize`, and `_dataOffset` fields during `DataDescriptor` message deserialization. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a crafted network payload that triggers an unsigned integer underflow in `DataDescriptor::getPayloadSize()` and `DataDescriptor::getNextDescriptor()`. This results in an out-of-bounds heap read and an immediate process crash (SIGSEGV), causing a denial of service. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-110938 | 8.7 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions up to 0.63.0, the JITServer component is vulnerable to denial of service due to improper boundary checks during protocol message and reply handling. An unauthenticated remote attacker or malicious JITServer can transmit malformed network payloads that cause out-of-bounds heap reads, immediately crashing the JITServer daemon or client JVM process via a segmentation fault (SIGSEGV). | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-13323 | 8.7 high | 0.00% | eclipse, open_vsx | In Open VSX Registry before 1.0.2, the /vscode/unpkg/ endpoint serves user-supplied HTML files with Content-Type: text/html and without a Content-Security-Policy or Content-Disposition: attachment response header. An unauthenticated attacker can register a publisher account, upload a VSIX containing a crafted HTML payload, and induce an authenticated user to visit the resulting URL. The browser renders the file inline in the open-vsx.org origin context, enabling session token exfiltration, persistent Personal Access Token (PAT) generation, and unauthorized publication of malicious extension versions. Because Open VSX extensions are distributed to VS Code, VSCodium, Cursor, Windsurf, and compatible editors, a compromised extension update constitutes a supply chain attack against all downstream users. | Sun 25 Oct |
| CVE-2026-62927 | 8.7 high | 0.00% | eclipse, milo | In Eclipse Milo versions 1.0.0 through 1.1.4, the Call service dispatches the original mixed batch to address-space handlers after calculating authorization, allowing an anonymous or otherwise low-privileged client to execute a denied method by batching it with an allowed method. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-15803 | 8.7 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In Eclipse RDF4J, several XML parser entry points do not fully restrict XML External Entity (XXE) processing when parsing untrusted XML-based RDF data or query results, permitting DOCTYPE declarations, external entity references, and external DTD loading. This is due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2018-1000644: the earlier fix did not cover all parser entry points. The issue is resolved in RDF4J 5.3.2, which rejects or disables DOCTYPE declarations, external entities, and external DTD loading by default. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-102467 | 8.7 high | 0.00% | eclipse, vert.x | In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.34] or [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the WebSocket implementation does not define a maximum number of bytes allocation when decompressing frames or messages. This can be used to implement DDOS attacks with a zip bomb. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-core. | 20 Oct |
| CVE-2026-102475 | 8.7 high | 0.00% | eclipse, vert.x | In Eclipse Vert.x versions [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the HTTP proxy provides a body transformer interceptor that relies on a max buffered bytes limit to ensure a bounded buffer for each request. This can be used to force a server to indefinitely allocate heap. This vulnerability requires to use an intercepting body transformer. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-http-proxy. | 20 Oct |
| CVE-2026-102461 | 8.7 high | 0.00% | eclipse, vert.x | In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.34] or [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the uniqueItems keyword validation uses an O(n²) pairwise comparison loop with no short-circuit or size limit. A remote unauthenticated attacker can submit a moderately-sized JSON array that consumes disproportionate CPU time, leading to denial of service. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-json-schema. The following Vert.x modules depend on vertx-json-schema and are also affected: io.vertx:vertx-web-openapi-router io.vertx:vertx-web-validation io.vertx:vertx-openapi | 20 Oct |
| CVE-2026-102477 | 8.7 high | 0.00% | eclipse, vert.x | In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.34] or [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], a gRPC endpoint does have a configurable per message maximum size in bytes, however the maximum size applies to the received bytes. When applied to a compressed message, this only applies to the compressed size and not the actual size of the uncompressed content. This can be used to force a gRPC endpoint to allocate more bytes than the value defined by the configuration, making the endpoint vulnerable to compression bomb attacks. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-gprc-server. | 20 Oct |
| CVE-2026-102460 | 8.6 high | 0.00% | eclipse, vert.x | In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.34] or [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], a scope bypass vulnerability exists in Eclipse Vert.x Web's ChainAuthHandler when used with scope-requiring authentication handlers such as JWTAuthHandler or OAuth2AuthHandler. When a user is already authenticated on the routing context by a preceding handler in the request pipeline, ChainAuthHandler skips all scope validation configured via withScope() or withScopes(). This affects both any() and all() chain modes. The root cause is that postAuthentication() relies on internal state that is only set during the authenticate() phase, which is skipped entirely for pre-authenticated users. In any() mode, the absence of this state causes the method to fall through without delegating scope checks to any handler. In all() mode, scope checks are unconditionally skipped. This allows a user with a valid token but insufficient scopes to access resources protected by scope requirements, provided they were authenticated by an earlier handler in the pipeline. The most common trigger is overlapping authentication handlers on nested routes, where a parent route authenticates broadly and a child route uses a chain to enforce specific scopes. The impacted component Maven coordinate is io.vertx:vertx-web | 20 Oct |
| CVE-2026-10055 | 8.5 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In Eclipse Theia since version 1.26.0, the backend /services/request-service RPC accepts an attacker-controlled URL from any client connected to the standard /services messaging endpoint, performs the HTTP request server-side, and returns the full response body to the caller. Because the destination URL is neither validated nor allowlisted, a remote attacker with access to the Theia service connection can issue server-side HTTP requests to localhost or other backend-reachable hosts and read their responses, exposing internal administrative endpoints, cloud instance metadata services, and other resources that are intentionally outside the browser network boundary. The vulnerability affects deployments where the Theia service connection is reachable by untrusted users (for example, multi-tenant or publicly-reachable Theia deployments). | Sun 25 Oct |
| CVE-2026-44691 | 8.4 high | 0.00% | eclipse, theia | In Eclipse Theia versions prior to 1.69.0, custom task definitions in workspace files (e.g. .theia/tasks.json, .vscode/tasks.json) could be executed without requiring workspace trust.
