| CVE | CVSS | EPSS | Vendor, product | Description | Modified |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CVE-2017-5645exploit ×2 | 9.8 critical | 89.0% | apache, netapp, log4j, oncommand_api_services, oncommand_insight | In Apache Log4j 2.x before 2.8.2, when using the TCP socket server or UDP socket server to receive serialized log events from another application, a specially crafted binary payload can be sent that, when deserialized, can execute arbitrary code. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2018-1270exploit ×4 | 9.8 critical | 77.0% | vmware, oracle, spring_framework, application_testing_suite, big_data_discovery | Spring Framework, versions 5.0 prior to 5.0.5 and versions 4.3 prior to 4.3.15 and older unsupported versions, allow applications to expose STOMP over WebSocket endpoints with a simple, in-memory STOMP broker through the spring-messaging module. A malicious user (or attacker) can craft a message to the broker that can lead to a remote code execution attack. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2025-9784exploit | 7.5 high | 2.0% | redhat, build_of_apache_camel_for_spring_boot, fuse, jboss_enterprise_application_platform | A flaw was found in Undertow where malformed client requests can trigger server-side stream resets without triggering abuse counters. This issue, referred to as the "MadeYouReset" attack, allows malicious clients to induce excessive server workload by repeatedly causing server-side stream aborts. While not a protocol bug, this highlights a common implementation weakness that can be exploited to cause a denial of service (DoS). | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2019-10219exploit ×2 | 6.1 medium | 2.0% | redhat, netapp, hibernate_validator, fuse, jboss_data_grid | A vulnerability was found in Hibernate-Validator. The SafeHtml validator annotation fails to properly sanitize payloads consisting of potentially malicious code in HTML comments and instructions. This vulnerability can result in an XSS attack. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2025-12543exploit | 9.6 critical | 1.0% | redhat, build_of_apache_camel, data_grid, fuse | A flaw was found in the Undertow HTTP server core, which is used in WildFly, JBoss EAP, and other Java applications. The Undertow library fails to properly validate the Host header in incoming HTTP requests. As a result, requests containing malformed or malicious Host headers are processed without rejection, enabling attackers to poison caches, perform internal network scans, or hijack user sessions. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2026-31694exploit | 7.8 high | 0.00% | linux, siemens, linux_kernel, simatic_s7-1500_tm_mfp_firmware | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: reject oversized dirents in page cache fuse_add_dirent_to_cache() computes a serialized dirent size from the server-controlled namelen field and copies the dirent into a single page-cache page. The existing logic only checks whether the dirent fits in the remaining space of the current page and advances to a fresh page if not. It never checks whether the dirent itself exceeds PAGE_SIZE. As a result, a malicious FUSE server can return a dirent with namelen=4095, producing a serialized record size of 4120 bytes. On 4 KiB page systems this causes memcpy() to overflow the cache page by 24 bytes into the following kernel page. Reject dirents that cannot fit in a single page before copying them into the readdir cache. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2019-14892 | 9.8 critical | 6.0% | fasterxml, redhat, jackson-databind, decision_manager, jboss_data_grid | A flaw was discovered in jackson-databind in versions before 2.9.10, 2.8.11.5 and 2.6.7.3, where it would permit polymorphic deserialization of a malicious object using commons-configuration 1 and 2 JNDI classes. An attacker could use this flaw to execute arbitrary code. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2017-7957 | 7.5 high | 5.0% | redhat, xstream, fuse, jboss_middleware | XStream through 1.4.9, when a certain denyTypes workaround is not used, mishandles attempts to create an instance of the primitive type 'void' during unmarshalling, leading to a remote application crash, as demonstrated by an xstream.fromXML("<void/>") call. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2024-7885 | 7.5 high | 3.0% | redhat, build_of_apache_camel_-_hawtio, build_of_apache_camel_for_spring_boot, build_of_keycloak | A vulnerability was found in Undertow where the ProxyProtocolReadListener reuses the same StringBuilder instance across multiple requests. This issue occurs when the parseProxyProtocolV1 method processes multiple requests on the same HTTP connection. As a result, different requests may share the same StringBuilder instance, potentially leading to information leakage between requests or responses. In some cases, a value from a previous request or response may be erroneously reused, which could lead to unintended data exposure. This issue primarily results in errors and connection termination but creates a risk of data leakage in multi-request environments. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2026-28368 | 9.1 critical | 1.0% | redhat, build_of_apache_camel_-_hawtio, build_of_apache_camel_for_spring_boot, data_grid | A flaw was found in Undertow. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to construct specially crafted requests where header names are parsed differently by Undertow compared to upstream proxies. This discrepancy in header interpretation can be exploited to launch request smuggling attacks, potentially bypassing security controls and accessing unauthorized resources. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-28369 | 9.1 critical | 1.0% | redhat, build_of_apache_camel_-_hawtio, build_of_apache_camel_for_spring_boot, data_grid | A flaw was found in Undertow. When Undertow receives an HTTP request where the first header line starts with one or more spaces, it incorrectly processes the request by stripping these leading spaces. This behavior, which violates HTTP standards, can be exploited by a remote attacker to perform request smuggling. Request smuggling allows an attacker to bypass security mechanisms, access restricted information, or manipulate web caches, potentially leading to unauthorized actions or data exposure. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-28367 | 9.1 critical | 1.0% | redhat, build_of_apache_camel_-_hawtio, build_of_apache_camel_for_spring_boot, data_grid | A flaw was found in Undertow. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending `\r\r\r` as a header block terminator. This can be used for request smuggling with certain proxy servers, such as older versions of Apache Traffic Server and Google Cloud Classic Application Load Balancer, potentially leading to unauthorized access or manipulation of web requests. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-49238 | 8.4 high | 1.0% | canonical, multipass | An issue was discovered in Canonical Multipass before version 1.16.3. The host-side SFTP server component (sshfs_server), which executes with root privileges on the host, contains a path containment bypass vulnerability within its validate_path function in src/sshfs_mount/sftp_server.cpp. The function performs a plain string prefix comparison on requested paths without path separator validation or dot-dot (..) normalization. A local attacker with root privileges inside a guest virtual machine can bypass the FUSE layer by injecting raw SFTP frames (such as an SSH_FXP_OPEN request) directly into the sshfs_server process stdin/stdout pipes via procfs. By supplying a path containing directory traversal sequences that match the allowed mount prefix, the attacker can force the host-side root process to resolve the traversal and open files outside the designated mount boundary. This allows a guest-side user to read arbitrary files on the host filesystem, resulting in a virtual machine escape. | 14 Oct |
| CVE-2024-50046 | 5.5 medium | 1.0% | linux, linux_kernel | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSv4: Prevent NULL-pointer dereference in nfs42_complete_copies() On the node of an NFS client, some files saved in the mountpoint of the NFS server were copied to another location of the same NFS server. | CVE-2019-20794 | 4.7 medium | 1.0% | linux, linux_kernel | An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel 4.18 through 5.6.11 when unprivileged user namespaces are allowed. A user can create their own PID namespace, and mount a FUSE filesystem. Upon interaction with this FUSE filesystem, if the userspace component is terminated via a kill of the PID namespace's pid 1, it will result in a hung task, and resources being permanently locked up until system reboot. This can result in resource exhaustion. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2023-54223 | 9.8 critical | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: xsk: Fix invalid buffer access for legacy rq The below crash can be encountered when using xdpsock in rx mode for legacy rq: the buffer gets released in the XDP_REDIRECT path, and then once again in the driver. This fix sets the flag to avoid releasing on the driver side. XSK handling of buffers for legacy rq was relying on the caller to set the skip release flag. But the referenced fix started using fragment counts for pages instead of the skip flag. | CVE-2025-40362 | 8.8 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: fix multifs mds auth caps issue The mds auth caps check should also validate the fsname along with the associated caps. Not doing so would result in applying the mds auth caps of one fs on to the other fs in a multifs ceph cluster. The bug causes multiple issues w.r.t user authentication, following is one such example. Steps to Reproduce (on vstart cluster): 1. Create two file systems in a cluster, say 'fsname1' and 'fsname2' 2. Authorize read only permission to the user 'client.usr' on fs 'fsname1' $ceph fs authorize fsname1 client.usr / r 3. Authorize read and write permission to the same user 'client.usr' on fs 'fsname2' $ceph fs authorize fsname2 client.usr / rw 4. Update the keyring $ceph auth get client.usr >> ./keyring With above permssions for the user 'client.usr', following is the expectation. a. The 'client.usr' should be able to only read the contents and not allowed to create or delete files on file system 'fsname1'. b. The 'client.usr' should be able to read/write on file system 'fsname2'. But, with this bug, the 'client.usr' is allowed to read/write on file system 'fsname1'. See below. 5. Mount the file system 'fsname1' with the user 'client.usr' $sudo bin/mount.ceph [email protected]=/ /kmnt_fsname1_usr/ 6. Try creating a file on file system 'fsname1' with user 'client.usr'. This should fail but passes with this bug. $touch /kmnt_fsname1_usr/file1 7. Mount the file system 'fsname1' with the user 'client.admin' and create a file. $sudo bin/mount.ceph [email protected]=/ /kmnt_fsname1_admin $echo "data" > /kmnt_fsname1_admin/admin_file1 8. Try removing an existing file on file system 'fsname1' with the user 'client.usr'. This shoudn't succeed but succeeds with the bug. $rm -f /kmnt_fsname1_usr/admin_file1 For more information, please take a look at the corresponding mds/fuse patch and tests added by looking into the tracker mentioned below. v2: Fix a possible null dereference in doutc v3: Don't store fsname from mdsmap, validate against ceph_mount_options's fsname and use it v4: Code refactor, better warning message and fix possible compiler warning [ Slava.Dubeyko: "fsname check failed" -> "fsname mismatch" ] | 15 Oct |
| CVE-2025-40273 | 8.8 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: free copynotify stateid in nfs4_free_ol_stateid() Typically copynotify stateid is freed either when parent's stateid is being close/freed or in nfsd4_laundromat if the stateid hasn't been used in a lease period. However, in case when the server got an OPEN (which created a parent stateid), followed by a COPY_NOTIFY using that stateid, followed by a client reboot. New client instance while doing CREATE_SESSION would force expire previous state of this client. It leads to the open state being freed thru release_openowner-> nfs4_free_ol_stateid() and it finds that it still has copynotify stateid associated with it. We currently print a warning and is triggerred WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 8858 at fs/nfsd/nfs4state.c:1550 nfs4_free_ol_stateid+0xb0/0x100 [nfsd] This patch, instead, frees the associated copynotify stateid here. | CVE-2026-68149 | 8.4 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: preserve ACL_DONT_CACHE state in forget_cached_acl() The ACL_DONT_CACHE state is meant to be a constant state for the inode for filesystems that want to opt out of posix acl caching. Commit facd61053cff1 ("fuse: fixes after adapting to new posix acl api") used this facility to opt out of posix acl caching for fuse inodes with fuse server that does not negotiate FUSE_POSIX_ACL (fc->posix_acl). The commit also takes care to gate the forget_all_cached_acls() call in fuse_set_acl() on fc->posix_acl because there is no need for it, but there are other placed in fuse code which call forget_all_cached_acls() unconditional to fc->posix_acl and those cause the loss of the ACL_DONT_CACHE state. This is not only a functional bug. Properly timed, a get_acl() from this fuse filesystem can return a stale cached value, as was observed in tests, because set_acl() does not invalidate the unintentional acl cache. We could fix this in fuse, but it actually makes no sense for the vfs helper forget_cached_acl() to invalidate the ACL_DONT_CACHE state, so let it not do that to fix fuse and future users of ACL_DONT_CACHE. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-89560 | 8.4 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: landlock: Require LANDLOCK_ACCESS_FS_MAKE_REG for whiteout creation Whiteout objects are used in the upper layer of an OverlayFS to indicate that the file with this name does not exist in the unified view, even if it is present in one of the lower layer file systems. For the userspace implementations of OverlayFS (fuse-overlayfs), whiteout objects can be created from userspace as well: * mknod(2) with S_IFCHR and makedev(0, 0) * renameat2(2) with RENAME_WHITEOUT, creating the whiteout in the old place of the moved file. This commit guards whiteout creation in both of these cases with LANDLOCK_ACCESS_FS_MAKE_REG. Whiteout objects are *not* considered character devices and are not bound to a driver. LANDLOCK_ACCESS_FS_MAKE_REG describes the same permission class as a whiteout object: creating one is the only S_IFCHR creation that the VFS exempts from CAP_MKNOD, so it is as unprivileged as creating a regular file, while LANDLOCK_ACCESS_FS_MAKE_CHAR and LANDLOCK_ACCESS_FS_MAKE_BLOCK keep meaning the creation of devices that expose a kernel interface [1]. For the mknod(2) case, introduce a Landlock erratum. The creation of whiteout objects through mknod(2) was previously guarded using LANDLOCK_ACCESS_FS_MAKE_CHAR, and it is now guarded using LANDLOCK_ACCESS_FS_MAKE_REG. For the renameat2(2) case, fix a bug: Before this commit, renameat2(2) with RENAME_WHITEOUT would create a directory entry even when all LANDLOCK_ACCESS_FS_MAKE_* rights were denied. This does not affect normal renames within layered OverlayFS mounts: When doing a regular rename() on a mounted fuse-overlayfs, it is the fuse-overlayfs daemon that exercises renameat2() with RENAME_WHITEOUT, and only the Landlock domain of that daemon is checked there. | CVE-2026-43466 | 8.2 high | 0.00% | linux, linux_kernel | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Fix DMA FIFO desync on error CQE SQ recovery In case of a TX error CQE, a recovery flow is triggered, mlx5e_reset_txqsq_cc_pc() resets dma_fifo_cc to 0 but not dma_fifo_pc, desyncing the DMA FIFO producer and consumer. After recovery, the producer pushes new DMA entries at the old dma_fifo_pc, while the consumer reads from position 0. This causes us to unmap stale DMA addresses from before the recovery. The DMA FIFO is a purely software construct with no HW counterpart. At the point of reset, all WQEs have been flushed so dma_fifo_cc is already equal to dma_fifo_pc. There is no need to reset either counter, similar to how skb_fifo pc/cc are untouched. Remove the 'dma_fifo_cc = 0' reset. | CVE-2026-89762 | 7.8 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: apparmor: fix cred UAF caused by begin_current_label_crit_section() AppArmor's begin_current_label_crit_section() is a scary function called from lots of LSM hooks (in particular VFS/socket-related ones) that checks if the label referenced by the current creds is marked FLAG_STALE, and if so, attempts to use aa_replace_current_label() to replace the creds with an updated version that uses a new label. The first problem with this is that it would directly lead to UAF of `struct cred` if anything in the kernel takes a pointer to the current creds and accesses these past a security hook invocation that replaces creds, like so: ``` const struct cred *cred = current_cred(); alloc_file_pseudo(...); uid_t uid = cred->euid; ``` I don't know if anything in the kernel actually does this, but I think it is very surprising that this pattern could lead to UAF. The second problem is that things go wrong when aa_replace_current_label() runs with overridden credentials. aa_replace_current_label() bails out if `current_cred() != current_real_cred()` (mirroring the check in proc_pid_attr_write()), but this check can't actually reliably detect overridden credentials because the overridden creds can be the same as the objective creds. So in approximately the following scenario, things go wrong: 1. task begins with <creds A> (as both objective and subjective creds), with refcount=2 2. task grabs an extra reference on <creds A> for overriding 3. task calls override_creds(<creds A>), which returns a pointer to the old subjective creds (<creds A>) 4. task enters AppArmor LSM hook 5. AppArmor checks that objective/subjective creds are equal 6. AppArmor replaces both cred pointers with <creds B> and drops 2 refs on <creds A> 7. task leaves AppArmor LSM hook 8. task calls revert_creds(<creds A>) 9. now task->cred is <creds A> while task->real_cred is <creds B>, but the task_struct logically holds two references to <creds B> 10. another task drops the extra reference on <creds A> that was used for overriding, refcount drops to 0 11. now task->real_cred points to freed creds At this point, any access to current_cred() will be UAF. I have a test case where I run aa-disable on a profile while a process using that profile is blocked on splice() from a FUSE passthrough file into a full pipe; after the profile update, the pipe becomes empty, splice() resumes, the credentials go out of sync, and a subsequent getuid() syscall results in a KASAN UAF splat. To fix this, instead of directly replacing creds, do it via task_work that will run at the end of the current syscall. (The point in time at which the cred replacement happens should have no correctness impact; it is just a performance optimization to avoid unnecessarily touching the refcount of the new label.) Note that AppArmor still performs direct cred replacements in the sb_pivotroot LSM hook after this change, and that direct cred replacements can still happen in VFS ->write() callbacks via proc_pid_attr_write(). There are two options for what to do with aa_dup_task_ctx(): Either explicitly reset new->label_replacement_pending after the entire aa_task_ctx has been copied, or switch to manually copying members over. I am switching to manually copying members over because that should make bugs more obvious. | 21 Oct |

| CVE-2026-68274 | 7.8 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/guc: Fix buffer overflow in steered register list allocation The size calculation for the steered register extarray uses only the geometry DSS mask (g_dss_mask) to determine the number of entries to allocate: total = bitmap_weight(gt->fuse_topo.g_dss_mask, ...) * steer_reg_num; However, the filling loop uses for_each_dss_steering(), which iterates over for_each_dss(), defined as the union of g_dss_mask and c_dss_mask (geometry + compute DSS). On platforms with compute-only DSS bits, the loop writes past the allocated buffer, corrupting adjacent slab objects. This manifests as list_del corruption and SLUB redzone overwrites during drm_managed_release on device unbind, since the overflow corrupts the drmres list_head of neighboring allocations. Fix by computing the allocation size using the union of both DSS masks, matching the iteration pattern of for_each_dss_steering(). -- v2: - use bitmap_weighted_or() (Zhanjun) (cherry picked from commit 0a78a44f4901aa6c9263e66be7fce02282f1109f) | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-53388 | 7.8 high | 0.00% | linux, linux_kernel | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: re-lock request before replacing page cache folio fuse_try_move_folio() unlocks the request on entry but does not re-lock it on the success path. This means fuse_chan_abort() can end the request and free the fuse_io_args (eg fuse_readpages_end()) while the subsequent copy chain logic after fuse_try_move_folio() accesses the fuse_io_args, leading to use-after-free issues. Fix this by calling lock_request() before replace_page_cache_folio(). This ensures the request is locked on the success path which will prevent the fuse_io_args from being freed while the later copying logic runs, and also ensures that the ap->folios[i]->mapping is never null since ap->folios[i] will always point to the newfolio after replace_page_cache_folio(). | 19 Oct |

| CVE-2026-108982 | 7.2 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | VeraCrypt 1.26.29 (FUSE-T build) on macOS sometimes allows unintended access to decrypted data. It does not terminate the FUSE-T auxiliary service (go-nfsv4) and its associated VeraCrypt core-service helper processes when a volume is dismounted. After VeraCrypt reports the volume as dismounted, the auxiliary mount continues to serve the decrypted volume image (volume.dmg) over a loopback SMB session, and the leaked processes retain an open handle to the underlying raw device. A local user or process can therefore remount and access the decrypted volume without the passphrase, e.g., by reopening a previously accessed path (such as through a macOS Open Recent menu) or by attaching volume.dmg from the stale auxiliary mount. (The macFUSE build of VeraCrypt is not affected.) | 16 Oct |
| CVE-2026-70597 | 6.3 medium | 0.00% | electronjs, electron | Electron is a framework for writing cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Prior to 39.8.8, 40.9.0, 41.2.1, and 42.0.0-beta.3, the check Electron uses on macOS to confirm it was launched by a same-signed parent process could be bypassed by a local process. Apps that enable fuse-based hardening restricting ELECTRON_RUN_AS_NODE and NODE_OPTIONS to same-signed parents rely on this check, and a local attacker could bypass it and run code inside the signed app, inheriting its TCC permissions and keychain access. This issue is fixed in 39.8.8, 40.9.0, 41.2.1, and 42.0.0-beta.3. | 8 Oct |
| CVE-2025-38042 | 5.5 medium | 0.00% | linux, linux_kernel | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: ti: k3-udma-glue: Drop skip_fdq argument from k3_udma_glue_reset_rx_chn The user of k3_udma_glue_reset_rx_chn() e.g. ti_am65_cpsw_nuss can run on multiple platforms having different DMA architectures. On some platforms there can be one FDQ for all flows in the RX channel while for others there is a separate FDQ for each flow in the RX channel. So far we have been relying on the skip_fdq argument of k3_udma_glue_reset_rx_chn(). Instead of relying on the user to provide this information, infer it based on DMA architecture during k3_udma_glue_request_rx_chn() and save it in an internal flag 'single_fdq'. Use that flag at k3_udma_glue_reset_rx_chn() to deicide if the FDQ needs to be cleared for every flow or just for flow 0. | CVE-2024-57999 | 5.5 medium | 0.00% | linux, linux_kernel | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/pseries/iommu: IOMMU incorrectly marks MMIO range in DDW Power Hypervisor can possibily allocate MMIO window intersecting with Dynamic DMA Window (DDW) range, which is over 32-bit addressing. The index is "int" while the address is "unsigned long". This results in negative value when setting the bitmap. 2. The DMA offset is page shifted but the MMIO range is used as-is (64-bit address). MMIO address needs to be page shifted as well. | 21 Oct |

As for now, the maximal read size for kvec iter is only limited by fc->max_read. For virtio-fs, max_read is UINT_MAX, so fuse_direct_io() doesn't split the 10MB buffer. It saves the address and the size of the 10MB-sized buffer in out_args[0] of a fuse request and passes the fuse request to virtio_fs_wake_pending_and_unlock(). 4) virtio_fs_wake_pending_and_unlock() uses virtio_fs_enqueue_req() to queue the request. Because virtiofs need DMA-able address, so virtio_fs_enqueue_req() uses kmalloc() to allocate a bounce buffer for all fuse args, copies these args into the bounce buffer and passed the physical address of the bounce buffer to virtiofsd. The total length of these fuse args for the passed fuse request is about 10MB, so copy_args_to_argbuf() invokes kmalloc() with a 10MB size parameter and it triggers the warning in __alloc_pages(): if (WARN_ON_ONCE_GFP(order > MAX_PAGE_ORDER, gfp)) return NULL; 5) virtio_fs_enqueue_req() will retry the memory allocation in a kworker, but it won't help, because kmalloc() will always return NULL due to the abnormal size and finit_module() will hang forever. A feasible solution is to limit the value of max_read for virtio-fs, so the length passed to kmalloc() will be limited. However it will affect the maximal read size for normal read. And for virtio-fs write initiated from kernel, it has the similar problem but now there is no way to limit fc->max_write in kernel. So instead of limiting both the values of max_read and max_write in kernel, introducing use_pages_for_kvec_io in fuse_conn and setting it as true in virtiofs. When use_pages_for_kvec_io is enabled, fuse will use pages instead of pointer to pass the KVEC_IO data. After switching to pages for KVEC_IO data, these pages will be used for DMA through virtio-fs. If these pages are backed by vmalloc(), {flush|invalidate}_kernel_vmap_range() are necessary to flush or invalidate the cache before the DMA operation. So add two new fields in fuse_args_pages to record the base address of vmalloc area and the condition indicating whether invalidation is needed. Perform the flush in fuse_get_user_pages() for write operations and the invalidation in fuse_release_user_pages() for read operations. It may seem necessary to introduce another fie ---truncated--- | 21 Oct |
| CVE-2024-42317 | 5.5 medium | 0.00% | linux, linux_kernel | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/huge_memory: avoid PMD-size page cache if needed xarray can't support arbitrary page cache size. the largest and supported page cache size is defined as MAX_PAGECACHE_ORDER by commit 099d90642a71 ("mm/filemap: make MAX_PAGECACHE_ORDER acceptable to xarray"). However, it's possible to have 512MB page cache in the huge memory's collapsing path on ARM64 system whose base page size is 64KB. 512MB page cache is breaking the limitation and a warning is raised when the xarray entry is split as shown in the following example. | CVE-2022-49092 | 5.5 medium | 0.00% | linux, linux_kernel | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ipv4: fix route with nexthop object delete warning FRR folks have hit a kernel warning[1] while deleting routes[2] which is caused by trying to delete a route pointing to a nexthop id without specifying nhid but matching on an interface. That is, a route is found but we hit a warning while matching it. The warning is from fib_info_nh() in include/net/nexthop.h because we run it on a fib_info with nexthop object. The call chain is: inet_rtm_delroute -> fib_table_delete -> fib_nh_match (called with a nexthop fib_info and also with fc_oif set thus calling fib_info_nh on the fib_info and triggering the warning). The fix is to not do any matching in that branch if the fi has a nexthop object because those are managed separately. I.e. we should match when deleting without nh spec and should fail when deleting a nexthop route with old-style nh spec because nexthop objects are managed separately, e.g.: $ ip r show 1.2.3.4/32 1.2.3.4 nhid 12 via 192.168.11.2 dev dummy0 $ ip r del 1.2.3.4/32 $ ip r del 1.2.3.4/32 nhid 12 <both should work> $ ip r del 1.2.3.4/32 dev dummy0 <should fail with ESRCH> [1] [ 523.462226] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 523.462230] WARNING: CPU: 14 PID: 22893 at include/net/nexthop.h:468 fib_nh_match+0x210/0x460 [ 523.462236] Modules linked in: dummy rpcsec_gss_krb5 xt_socket nf_socket_ipv4 nf_socket_ipv6 ip6table_raw iptable_raw bpf_preload xt_statistic ip_set ip_vs_sh ip_vs_wrr ip_vs_rr ip_vs xt_mark nf_tables xt_nat veth nf_conntrack_netlink nfnetlink xt_addrtype br_netfilter overlay dm_crypt nfsv3 nfs fscache netfs vhost_net vhost vhost_iotlb tap tun xt_CHECKSUM xt_MASQUERADE xt_conntrack 8021q garp mrp ipt_REJECT nf_reject_ipv4 ip6table_mangle ip6table_nat iptable_mangle iptable_nat nf_nat nf_conntrack nf_defrag_ipv6 nf_defrag_ipv4 iptable_filter bridge stp llc rfcomm snd_seq_dummy snd_hrtimer rpcrdma rdma_cm iw_cm ib_cm ib_core ip6table_filter xt_comment ip6_tables vboxnetadp(OE) vboxnetflt(OE) vboxdrv(OE) qrtr bnep binfmt_misc xfs vfat fat squashfs loop nvidia_drm(POE) nvidia_modeset(POE) nvidia_uvm(POE) nvidia(POE) intel_rapl_msr intel_rapl_common snd_hda_codec_realtek snd_hda_codec_generic ledtrig_audio snd_hda_codec_hdmi btusb btrtl iwlmvm uvcvideo btbcm snd_hda_intel edac_mce_amd [ 523.462274] videobuf2_vmalloc videobuf2_memops btintel snd_intel_dspcfg videobuf2_v4l2 snd_intel_sdw_acpi bluetooth snd_usb_audio snd_hda_codec mac80211 snd_usbmidi_lib joydev snd_hda_core videobuf2_common kvm_amd snd_rawmidi snd_hwdep snd_seq videodev ccp snd_seq_device libarc4 ecdh_generic mc snd_pcm kvm iwlwifi snd_timer drm_kms_helper snd cfg80211 cec soundcore irqbypass rapl wmi_bmof i2c_piix4 rfkill k10temp pcspkr acpi_cpufreq nfsd auth_rpcgss nfs_acl lockd grace sunrpc drm zram ip_tables crct10dif_pclmul crc32_pclmul crc32c_intel ghash_clmulni_intel nvme sp5100_tco r8169 nvme_core wmi ipmi_devintf ipmi_msghandler fuse [ 523.462300] CPU: 14 PID: 22893 Comm: ip Tainted: P OE 5.16.18-200.fc35.x86_64 #1 [ 523.462302] Hardware name: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. | CVE-2026-53168 | 5.5 medium | 0.00% | linux, linux_kernel | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: reject fuse_notify() pagecache ops on directories The operations FUSE_NOTIFY_STORE and FUSE_NOTIFY_RETRIEVE allow the FUSE daemon to actively write/read pagecache contents. For directories with FOPEN_CACHE_DIR, the pagecache is used as kernel-internal cache storage, and userspace is not supposed to have direct access to this cache - in particular, fuse_parse_cache() will hit WARN_ON() if the cache contains bogus data. Reject FUSE_NOTIFY_STORE and FUSE_NOTIFY_RETRIEVE on anything other than regular files with -EINVAL. | 15 Oct |
| CVE-2026-53167 | 5.5 medium | 0.00% | linux, linux_kernel | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: limit FUSE_NOTIFY_RETRIEVE to uptodate folios FUSE_NOTIFY_RETRIEVE must be limited to uptodate folios; !uptodate folios can contain uninitialized data. Since FUSE_NOTIFY_RETRIEVE is intended to only return data that is already in the page cache and not wait for data from the FUSE daemon, treat !uptodate folios as if they weren't present. This only has security impact on systems that don't enable automatic zero-initialization of all page allocations via CONFIG_INIT_ON_ALLOC_DEFAULT_ON or init_on_alloc=1. | 15 Oct |

| CVE-2026-42890 | 4.8 medium | 0.00% | no CPE yet | Actual is an open-source personal finance application. In the macOS desktop application version 25.x (built on Electron 39.2.7), the ELECTRON_RUN_AS_NODE fuse is not disabled, allowing an attacker who can place a file on disk or control command-line arguments to invoke the signed Actual.app binary with the ELECTRON_RUN_AS_NODE=1 environment variable set. This converts the application into a Node.js REPL capable of executing arbitrary code that inherits the application's entitlements and code signature, bypassing macOS Gatekeeper review. Version 26.5.0 patches the issue. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-52791 | 2.0 low | 0.00% | no CPE yet | fuse-overlayfs is an implementation of overlayfs in FUSE for rootless containers. Prior to 1.17, the release-1.x C branch preserves SUID and SGID mode bits in main.c during open(O_TRUNC) and truncate handling on a copied-up file, allowing a low-privileged process to leave the upper-layer file with mode 4777. This issue is fixed in version 1.17. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-99084 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: readdir: take no inode lock on an immutable directory iterate_dir() takes the directory's i_rwsem shared and holds it across ->iterate_shared(). For a directory that never has an entry and is never removed the lock keeps nothing still, it only orders every reader and every writer of that inode behind each other. For the directory of a nullfs instance that matters. The instance of the initial mount namespace is the root of every empty mount namespace and the private instance is the root of every kernel thread, so one inode is shared across users who have nothing else in common. And a reader can hold the lock for as long as it likes: back the getdents() buffer with a mapping of a file on a FUSE mount of your own, let the copy of "." and ".." fault and let the server wait. Queue an exclusive taker behind it, a mkdir() in that directory goes through start_dirop() before the read-only mount is reported, and from then on every lookup that misses the dcache in that directory, every create and every mount on it waits until the server answers. One user of an empty mount namespace stalls all the others. Add FOP_IMMUTABLE for the file operations of a directory that never changes and is never removed and let iterate_dir() skip the lock for it. The flag never changes for a file, ->f_pos is protected by f_pos_lock since directories are FMODE_ATOMIC_POS, IS_DEADDIR can't be set on such a directory and neither touch_atime() nor fsnotify take i_rwsem. Set it on the nullfs directory. The placeholder directories of libfs never have an entry either but their owners remove them, so they keep the lock. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-68448 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovl: check access to copy_file_range source with src mounter creds Commit 5dae222a5ff0c ("vfs: allow copy_file_range to copy across devices") allowed filesystems that implement the copy_file_range() f_op to decide if they want to access cross-sb copy from/to the same fs type. The same commit added checks to verify same sb copy for filesystems that implement ->copy_file_range() and do not support cross-sb copy at the time, namely, to ceph, fuse and nfs. The two remaining fs which implement ->copy_file_range(), cifs and overlayfs started to support cross-sb copy from this time. While overlayfs does support cross-sb copy when the two underlying files are on the same base fs, the copy operation on the two real files from two different overalyfs filesystems is performed with the mounter creds of the destination overlayfs and the read permission access hook for the source file was called with the wrong creds. This could cause either deny of access to copy which would otherwise be allowed (e.g. with splice) or allow read access to file which would otherwise be denied. Fix the latter case by explicitly verifying read access to source file with the source overlayfs mounter creds. The former case remains a quirk of cross-sb overlayfs copy, but userspace could fall back to regular copy so no harm done. | 21 Oct |

Unsurprisingly, the AIO exerciser threads are mostly stuck waiting for responses from the fuseblk server: # cat /proc/372265/task/372313/stack [<0>] request_wait_answer+0x1fe/0x2a0 [fuse] [<0>] __fuse_simple_request+0xd3/0x2b0 [fuse] [<0>] fuse_do_getattr+0xfc/0x1f0 [fuse] [<0>] fuse_file_read_iter+0xbe/0x1c0 [fuse] [<0>] aio_read+0x130/0x1e0 [<0>] io_submit_one+0x542/0x860 [<0>] __x64_sys_io_submit+0x98/0x1a0 [<0>] do_syscall_64+0x37/0xf0 [<0>] entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x4b/0x53 But the /weird/ part is that the fuseblk server threads are waiting for responses from itself: # cat /proc/372210/task/372232/stack [<0>] request_wait_answer+0x1fe/0x2a0 [fuse] [<0>] __fuse_simple_request+0xd3/0x2b0 [fuse] [<0>] fuse_file_put+0x9a/0xd0 [fuse] [<0>] fuse_release+0x36/0x50 [fuse] [<0>] __fput+0xec/0x2b0 [<0>] task_work_run+0x55/0x90 [<0>] syscall_exit_to_user_mode+0xe9/0x100 [<0>] do_syscall_64+0x43/0xf0 [<0>] entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x4b/0x53 The fuseblk server is fuse2fs so there's nothing all that exciting in the server itself. So why is the fuse server calling fuse_file_put? The commit message for the fstest sheds some light on that: "By closing the file descriptor before calling io_destroy, you pretty much guarantee that the last put on the ioctx will be done in interrupt context (during I/O completion). Aha. AIO fgets a new struct file from the fd when it queues the ioctx. The completion of the FUSE_WRITE command from userspace causes the fuse server to call the AIO completion function. The completion puts the struct file, queuing a delayed fput to the fuse server task. When the fuse server task returns to userspace, it has to run the delayed fput, which in the case of a fuseblk server, it does synchronously. Sending the FUSE_RELEASE command sychronously from fuse server threads is a bad idea because a client program can initiate enough simultaneous AIOs such that all the fuse server threads end up in delayed_fput, and now there aren't any threads left to handle the queued fuse commands. Fix this by only using asynchronous fputs when closing files, and leave a comment explaining why. | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2025-40222 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: serial: sh-sci: fix RSCI FIFO overrun handling The receive error handling code is shared between RSCI and all other SCIF port types, but the RSCI overrun_reg is specified as a memory offset, while for other SCIF types it is an enum value used to index into the sci_port_params->regs array, as mentioned above the sci_serial_in() function. For RSCI, the overrun_reg is CSR (0x48), causing the sci_getreg() call inside the sci_handle_fifo_overrun() function to index outside the bounds of the regs array, which currently has a size of 20, as specified by SCI_NR_REGS. Because of this, we end up accessing memory outside of RSCI's rsci_port_params structure, which, when interpreted as a plat_sci_reg, happens to have a non-zero size, causing the following WARN when sci_serial_in() is called, as the accidental size does not match the supported register sizes. The existence of the overrun_reg needs to be checked because SCIx_SH3_SCIF_REGTYPE has overrun_reg set to SCLSR, but SCLSR is not present in the regs array. Avoid calling sci_getreg() for port types which don't use standard register handling. Use the ops->read_reg() and ops->write_reg() functions to properly read and write registers for RSCI, and change the type of the status variable to accommodate the 32-bit CSR register. sci_getreg() and sci_serial_in() are also called with overrun_reg in the sci_mpxed_interrupt() interrupt handler, but that code path is not used for RSCI, as it does not have a muxed interrupt. ------------[ cut here ]------------ Invalid register access WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 0 at drivers/tty/serial/sh-sci.c:522 sci_serial_in+0x38/0xac Modules linked in: renesas_usbhs at24 rzt2h_adc industrialio_adc sha256 cfg80211 bluetooth ecdh_generic ecc rfkill fuse drm backlight ipv6 CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/0 Not tainted 6.17.0-rc1+ #30 PREEMPT Hardware name: Renesas RZ/T2H EVK Board based on r9a09g077m44 (DT) pstate: 604000c5 (nZCv daIF +PAN -UAO -TCO -DIT -SSBS BTYPE=--) pc : sci_serial_in+0x38/0xac lr : sci_serial_in+0x38/0xac sp : ffff800080003e80 x29: ffff800080003e80 x28: ffff800082195b80 x27: 000000000000000d x26: ffff8000821956d0 x25: 0000000000000000 x24: ffff800082195b80 x23: ffff000180e0d800 x22: 0000000000000010 x21: 0000000000000000 x20: 0000000000000010 x19: ffff000180e72000 x18: 000000000000000a x17: ffff8002bcee7000 x16: ffff800080000000 x15: 0720072007200720 x14: 0720072007200720 x13: 0720072007200720 x12: 0720072007200720 x11: 0000000000000058 x10: 0000000000000018 x9 : ffff8000821a6a48 x8 : 0000000000057fa8 x7 : 0000000000000406 x6 : ffff8000821fea48 x5 : ffff00033ef88408 x4 : ffff8002bcee7000 x3 : ffff800082195b80 x2 : 0000000000000000 x1 : 0000000000000000 x0 : ffff800082195b80 Call trace: sci_serial_in+0x38/0xac (P) sci_handle_fifo_overrun.isra.0+0x70/0x134 sci_er_interrupt+0x50/0x39c __handle_irq_event_percpu+0x48/0x140 handle_irq_event+0x44/0xb0 handle_fasteoi_irq+0xf4/0x1a0 handle_irq_desc+0x34/0x58 generic_handle_domain_irq+0x1c/0x28 gic_handle_irq+0x4c/0x140 call_on_irq_stack+0x30/0x48 do_interrupt_handler+0x80/0x84 el1_interrupt+0x34/0x68 el1h_64_irq_handler+0x18/0x24 el1h_64_irq+0x6c/0x70 default_idle_call+0x28/0x58 (P) do_idle+0x1f8/0x250 cpu_startup_entry+0x34/0x3c rest_init+0xd8/0xe0 console_on_rootfs+0x0/0x6c __primary_switched+0x88/0x90 ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]--- | 19 Oct |
| CVE-2026-98522 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/imagination: Propagate map failures correctly from pvr_mmu_map_sgl() Map failure from pvr_mmu_map_sgl() interface was not returned correctly to pvr_mmu_map() interface.
