CVE-2026-112900exploit ×3 9.2 critical 1.0% python, pillow Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 2.6.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow is vulnerable to argument injection when invoking Ghostscript for EPS input. EpsImagePlugin.Ghostscript passes a caller-controlled input filename after -f without converting it to a safe absolute path, so a name beginning with a hyphen can be interpreted as a Ghostscript option. An attacker who controls the filename can inject Ghostscript arguments. Arbitrary command execution specifically requires a leading @ argument-file filename and control of the referenced text file containing additional Ghostscript arguments; the reported chain reproduces with the default -dSAFER invocation. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0. Tue 27 Oct
CVE-2021-45949 5.5 medium 2.0% artifex, debian, ghostscript, debian_linux Ghostscript GhostPDL 9.50 through 9.54.0 has a heap-based buffer overflow in sampled_data_finish (called from sampled_data_continue and interp). 8 Oct
CVE-2026-115915 9.8 critical 1.0% vllm vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. Prior to 0.32.0, ImageMediaIO passes attacker-controlled image bytes to Pillow through Image.open(BytesIO(data)) without restricting decoder selection, and the MIME label does not constrain the selected format. Image-capable request paths through parse_image() and fetch_image() can therefore dispatch an EPS payload to host components. A host with Ghostscript affected by CVE-2024-29510 can execute commands with the vLLM process's privileges, while environments using Pillow 12.0.0 through 12.2.0 can trigger CVE-2026-59203 and exhaust media-loading workers. Deployments without the applicable vulnerable dependency are not affected by that corresponding impact. This issue is fixed in version 0.32.0. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-101258 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in Ghostscript. When Ghostscript renders a crafted PostScript or EPS document, it can bypass the -dSAFER sandbox and execute arbitrary shell commands in the context of the Ghostscript process. The issue chains memory corruption in document parsing with disabling of internal path access controls at runtime. An attacker can deliver the document directly or through formats that delegate rendering to Ghostscript (for example EPS import or print conversion workflows). Successful exploitation can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data accessible to the process running Ghostscript. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-112177 7.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in Ghostscript as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8. The correction for CVE-2019-14869 was omitted during the rebase from version 9.25 to 9.27, leaving privileged .forceput operations in the .charkeys procedure insufficiently protected. Processing a specially crafted PostScript file may allow an attacker to bypass -dSAFER restrictions and access files outside the permitted paths or execute commands with the permissions of the Ghostscript process. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-108693 7.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet ImageMagick on Windows through 7.1.2-33 and 6.9.13-58 contains an uncontrolled search path vulnerability in NTGhostscriptEXE() that launches gswin64c.exe by bare name when Ghostscript is unregistered. Attackers can plant a malicious gswin64c.exe in the working directory to execute code with ImageMagick privileges when PDF, PostScript, or EPS files are converted. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-77467 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet Lychee is a free, open-source photo-management tool. Prior to 7.7.0, Lychee enables ImageMagick PDF support with Ghostscript but does not apply an effective pre-render limit to PDF page dimensions in ImagickHandler::loadPdf(). An authenticated user who can upload a small PDF with an oversized /MediaBox can cause Imagick::readImage() to consume substantial CPU before failing to produce an image. When QUEUE_CONNECTION selects synchronous processing the request can occupy a web worker, while the official asynchronous Docker configuration can clog the shared image-processing queue and delay other work. The advisory did not identify a Ghostscript sandbox escape. This issue is fixed in version 7.7.0. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-112922 3.3 low — red hat, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6, red hat enterprise linux 7 A flaw was found in Ghostscript. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to process a specially crafted PDF or PostScript document containing malicious mesh shading data. Due to improper bounds validation during the processing of indexed color values, Ghostscript triggers an out-of-bounds memory read. Successful exploitation can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) through an application crash or result in limited information disclosure. 10 h ago
CVE-2026-103226 2.1 low 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability was identified in Artifex Ghostscript up to 10.07.0. Affected is the function type1_callsubr of the file devices/vector/gdevpsfx.c of the component Pdfwrite. The manipulation leads to stack-based buffer overflow. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. Upgrading to version 10.08.0 is able to address this issue. It is suggested to upgrade the affected component. A solution was implemented: "I've chosen to fix this slightly differently by using the defined macro in the font parsing loop rather than in the callsubr function, because this better matches the pattern of 'normal' usage." 15 Oct
