CVE-2026-54316exploit 6.0 medium 1.0% anthropic, claude_code Claude Code is an agentic coding tool. From 0.2.54 until 2.1.163, because the hostname huggingface.co was pre-approved as a bare hostname for the WebFetch tool, any path on that domain—including attacker-controlled model repositories—was auto-approved without a permission prompt or being subject to --allowedTools restrictions. An attacker able to inject untrusted content into a Claude Code context could direct it to issue WebFetch requests against attacker-controlled repository files (e.g. /resolve/main/config.json), which HuggingFace counts as downloads server-side, creating a covert out-of-band channel for encoding and exfiltrating data Claude can access such as files, environment variables, or command output. Reliably exploiting this required the ability to add untrusted content into a Claude Code context window. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.1.163. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-7669exploit 6.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability was detected in sgl-project SGLang up to 0.5.9. Impacted is the function get_tokenizer of the file python/sglang/srt/utils/hf_transformers_utils.py of the component HuggingFace Transformer Handler. The manipulation of the argument trust_remote_code with the input False as part of Boolean results in code injection. The attack can be executed remotely. A high complexity level is associated with this attack. The exploitability is considered difficult. In get_tokenizer(), when the caller passes trust_remote_code=False and HuggingFace transformers v5 returns a TokenizersBackend instance (the generic fallback for tokenizer classes not in the registry), SGLang silently re-invokes AutoTokenizer.from_pretrained with trust_remote_code=True, overriding the caller's explicit security setting. A model repository containing a malicious tokenizer.py referenced via auto_map in tokenizer_config.json will execute arbitrary Python in the SGLang process during this second call. No log line or warning is emitted. The override affects all current SGLang versions because transformers==5.3.0 is pinned in pyproject.toml. Both tokenizer_mode="auto" and tokenizer_mode="slow" are affected. The exploit is now public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. CVE-2025-11844exploit 5.4 medium 0.00% huggingface, smolagents Hugging Face Smolagents version 1.20.0 contains an XPath injection vulnerability in the search_item_ctrl_f function located in src/smolagents/vision_web_browser.py. The function constructs an XPath query by directly concatenating user-supplied input into the XPath expression without proper sanitization or escaping. This allows an attacker to inject malicious XPath syntax that can alter the intended query logic. The vulnerability enables attackers to bypass search filters, access unintended DOM elements, and disrupt web automation workflows. This can lead to information disclosure, manipulation of AI agent interactions, and compromise the reliability of automated web tasks. The issue is fixed in version 1.22.0. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-25874 9.3 critical 16.0% huggingface, lerobot LeRobot through 0.5.1 contains an unsafe deserialization vulnerability in the async inference pipeline where pickle.loads() is used to deserialize data received over unauthenticated gRPC channels without TLS in the policy server and robot client components. An unauthenticated network-reachable attacker can achieve arbitrary code execution on the server or client by sending a crafted pickle payload through the SendPolicyInstructions, SendObservations, or GetActions gRPC calls. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-44513 8.8 high 1.0% huggingface, diffusers Diffusers is the a library for pretrained diffusion models. Prior to 0.38.0, a trust_remote_code bypass in DiffusionPipeline.from_pretrained allows arbitrary remote code execution despite the user passing trust_remote_code=False (or omitting it, which is the default). The vulnerability has three variants, all sharing the same root cause — the trust_remote_code gate was implemented inside DiffusionPipeline.download() rather than at the actual dynamic-module load site, so any code path that bypassed or short-circuited download() also bypassed the security check. DiffusionPipeline.from_pretrained('repoA', custom_pipeline='attacker/repoB', trust_remote_code=False) — the gate evaluated against repoA's file list rather than repoB's, so repoB's pipeline.py was loaded and executed. DiffusionPipeline.from_pretrained('/local/snapshot', custom_pipeline='attacker/repoB', trust_remote_code=False) — the local-path branch never invoked download(), so the gate was never reached and remote code from repoB executed. DiffusionPipeline.from_pretrained('/local/snapshot', trust_remote_code=False) where the snapshot contains custom component files (e.g. unet/my_unet_model.py) referenced from model_index.json — same root cause; the local path skipped download() and custom component code executed. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.38.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-44827 8.8 high 1.0% huggingface, diffusers Diffusers is the a library for pretrained diffusion models. Prior to 0.38.0, diffusers 0.37.0 allows remote code execution without the trust_remote_code=True safeguard when loading pipelines from Hugging Face Hub repositories. The _resolve_custom_pipeline_and_cls function in pipeline_loading_utils.py performs string interpolation on the custom_pipeline parameter using f"{custom_pipeline}.py". When custom_pipeline is not supplied by the user, it defaults to None, which Python interpolates as the literal string "None.py". If an attacker publishes a Hub repository containing a file named None.py with a class that subclasses DiffusionPipeline, the file is automatically downloaded and executed during a standard DiffusionPipeline.from_pretrained() call with no additional keyword arguments. The trust_remote_code check in DiffusionPipeline.download() is bypassed because it evaluates custom_pipeline is not None as False (since the kwarg was never supplied), while the downstream code path that actually loads the module resolves the None value into a valid filename. An attacker can achieve silent arbitrary code execution by publishing a malicious model repository with a None.py file and a standard-looking model_index.json that references a legitimate pipeline class name, requiring only that a victim calls from_pretrained on the repository. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.38.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-41523 7.5 high 1.0% vllm vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models (LLMs). Prior to 0.22.0, an assert-based security check in vLLM's activation function loading allows any unauthenticated attacker to achieve arbitrary code execution on the server by publishing a malicious HuggingFace model, when vLLM runs in Python optimized mode (python -O or PYTHONOPTIMIZE=1). This vulnerability is fixed in 0.22.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2025-6921 7.5 high 1.0% huggingface, transformers The huggingface/transformers library, versions prior to 4.53.0, is vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) in the AdamWeightDecay optimizer. The vulnerability arises from the _do_use_weight_decay method, which processes user-controlled regular expressions in the include_in_weight_decay and exclude_from_weight_decay lists. Malicious regular expressions can cause catastrophic backtracking during the re.search call, leading to 100% CPU utilization and a denial of service. This issue can be exploited by attackers who can control the patterns in these lists, potentially causing the machine learning task to hang and rendering services unresponsive. 11 Oct
CVE-2026-66007 6.9 medium 1.0% huggingface, datasets Datasets through 5.0.0, fixed in commit f989ef9, contains a path traversal vulnerability in folder-based dataset builders where the file_name metadata field is not properly validated before being joined to the dataset directory. Attackers can supply crafted file_name values with directory traversal sequences to read arbitrary local files, which are then embedded into output when save_to_disk or push_to_hub is called. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-4963 2.1 low 1.0% huggingface, smolagents A weakness has been identified in huggingface smolagents 1.25.0.dev0. This affects the function evaluate_augassign/evaluate_call/evaluate_with of the file src/smolagents/local_python_executor.py of the component Incomplete Fix CVE-2025-9959. This manipulation causes code injection. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-31239 9.8 critical 0.00% no CPE yet The mamba language model framework thru 2.2.6 is vulnerable to insecure deserialization (CWE-502) when loading pre-trained models from HuggingFace Hub. The MambaLMHeadModel.from_pretrained() method uses torch.load() to load the pytorch_model.bin weight file without enabling the security-restrictive weights_only=True parameter. This allows the deserialization of arbitrary Python objects via the pickle module. An attacker can exploit this by publishing a malicious model repository on HuggingFace Hub. When a victim loads a model from this repository, arbitrary code is executed on the victim's system in the context of the mamba process. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-6859 8.8 high 0.00% redhat, instructlab, enterprise_linux_ai A flaw was found in InstructLab. The `linux_train.py` script hardcodes `trust_remote_code=True` when loading models from HuggingFace. This allows a remote attacker to achieve arbitrary Python code execution by convincing a user to run `ilab train/download/generate` with a specially crafted malicious model from the HuggingFace Hub. This vulnerability can lead to complete system compromise. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-1839 7.8 high 0.00% huggingface, transformers A vulnerability in the HuggingFace Transformers library, specifically in the `Trainer` class, allows for arbitrary code execution. The `_load_rng_state()` method in `src/transformers/trainer.py` at line 3059 calls `torch.load()` without the `weights_only=True` parameter. This issue affects all versions of the library supporting `torch>=2.2` when used with PyTorch versions below 2.6, as the `safe_globals()` context manager provides no protection in these versions. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by supplying a malicious checkpoint file, such as `rng_state.pth`, which can execute arbitrary code when loaded. The issue is resolved in version v5.0.0rc3. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2025-14920 7.8 high 0.00% huggingface, transformers Hugging Face Transformers Perceiver Model Deserialization of Untrusted Data Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. CVE-2026-45804 7.5 high 0.00% huggingface, diffusers Diffusers is the a library for pretrained diffusion models. Prior to 0.38.0, Diffusers' DiffusionPipeline.from_pretrained flow can bypass the trust_remote_code guard because download() validates model_index.json and custom pipeline code before later loading from a cached folder that can change, allowing a Hub repository with custom .py pipeline code to execute through the custom pipeline flow without passing custom_pipeline or trust_remote_code=True. This issue is fixed in version 0.38.0. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-9856 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability in huggingface/transformers versions <=5.8.0.dev0 allows an attacker to perform arbitrary file writes via path traversal. The issue resides in the `save_pretrained()` methods of `PreTrainedTokenizerBase` and `ProcessorMixin`, where keys from the `chat_template` dictionary are used directly as filenames without proper validation. An attacker can exploit this by publishing a malicious Hugging Face Hub repository with a crafted `tokenizer_config.json` file. When a victim downloads and saves the tokenizer or processor, the attacker-controlled keys can escape the intended save directory, enabling arbitrary file writes with attacker-controlled content. This vulnerability affects multiple processors inheriting from `ProcessorMixin`, including Idefics, Florence, Gemma, Phi, and Qwen-VL. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-94386 4.8 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Use of Cache Containing Sensitive Information vulnerability in Apache Camel Oauth component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.19.0 before 4.22.2. OAuthClientCredentialsTokenResolver obtains OAuth 2.0 bearer tokens through the client credentials grant on behalf of the components that authenticate their outbound calls with a named OAuth profile, such as camel-openai, camel-langchain4j-agent, camel-huggingface, camel-docling, camel-a2a, camel-spring-ai-chat and the IBM watsonx components, and of applications that call the OAuthClientAuthenticationFactory SPI directly. It kept the tokens it obtained in a static cache shared by every resolver instance and every CamelContext in the JVM, and keyed that cache on the token endpoint and the client ID only, although the token request also carries the client secret and the requested scope. Two profiles that share a token endpoint and a client ID but request different scopes, or authenticate with different client secrets, therefore mapped to the same cache entry: the profile that resolved a token first populated the entry, and the other profile was then handed that token, with no token request made under its own configuration, for as long as the token remained valid. Token caching is enabled by default, and pointing several profiles at one identity provider client is an ordinary use of the profile support rather than an opt-in to an insecure setting. The outcome is an outbound request that carries a token issued for another profile's scope, which can grant broader authority than the calling profile was configured for, or reach a service the token was not issued for; with identity providers that derive a token's audience from the requested scope, a different scope can mean a token for a different service altogether. A profile configured with a different client secret was likewise served the token obtained with the other secret, without authenticating with its own. The profiles are configured by the deployment, which is trusted, so no untrusted input reaches the cache: the party that gains is the service that receives a token it was not meant to receive, which, if hostile or compromised, can replay that token within its scope. Reaching the issue requires a deployment that defines more than one profile sharing a token endpoint and client ID while differing in scope or client secret. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.22.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.22.2. The 4.19.x to 4.21.x release lines reached end of life before this issue was resolved and will not receive a fix, so deployments on them must move to a supported release. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, disable token caching on every OAuth profile that shares a token endpoint and client ID with another profile, by setting camel.oauth.NAME.cache-tokens=false for a named profile or camel.oauth.cache-tokens=false for the default one, so that each resolution requests a token with that profile’s own scope and client secret, at the cost of a token request on every resolution. Alternatively, register a separate client at the identity provider for each profile that needs a different scope or client secret, so that no two such profiles share a client ID. Mon 26 Oct
