CVE-2025-68664exploit ×5 8.2 high 43.0% langchain, langchain_core LangChain is a framework for building agents and LLM-powered applications. Prior to versions 0.3.81 and 1.2.5, a serialization injection vulnerability exists in LangChain's dumps() and dumpd() functions. The functions do not escape dictionaries with 'lc' keys when serializing free-form dictionaries. The 'lc' key is used internally by LangChain to mark serialized objects. When user-controlled data contains this key structure, it is treated as a legitimate LangChain object during deserialization rather than plain user data. This issue has been patched in versions 0.3.81 and 1.2.5. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-67644exploit 7.8 high 2.0% langchain, langgraph-checkpoint-sqlite LangGraph SQLite Checkpoint is an implementation of LangGraph CheckpointSaver that uses SQLite DB (both sync and async, via aiosqlite). Versions 3.0.0 and below are vulnerable to SQL injection through the checkpoint implementation. Checkpoint allows attackers to manipulate SQL queries through metadata filter keys, affecting applications that accept untrusted metadata filter keys (not just filter values) in checkpoint search operations. The _metadata_predicate() function constructs SQL queries by interpolating filter keys directly into f-strings without validation. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.1. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-48121exploit 6.7 medium 0.00% no CPE yet @langchain/langgraph-checkpoint-mongodb provides a LangGraph.js CheckpointSaver implementation that uses MongoDB for storage. Versions 1.3.0 and below are vulnerable to NoSQL injection: checkpoint identifiers (thread_id, checkpoint_ns, checkpoint_id) from config.configurable are passed into MongoDB find() queries in MongoDBSaver.getTuple() without type enforcement. If an attacker supplies an object payload (such as MongoDB operators $gt or $ne) instead of a string, it can be interpreted as a query operator, bypassing thread scoping and leaking checkpoints, including pending writes, across tenants. Applications are at risk if they forward untrusted input into config.configurable without coercing it to strings or validating it against a schema, particularly in multi-tenant or user-isolated setups. Apps that only use server-issued, string-typed identifiers with schema validation rejecting non-string fields are not affected. This issue has been fixed in version 1.3.1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2025-6984 7.5 high 2.0% no CPE yet The langchain-ai/langchain project, specifically the EverNoteLoader component, is vulnerable to XML External Entity (XXE) attacks due to insecure XML parsing. The affected version is 0.3.63. The vulnerability arises from the use of etree.iterparse() without disabling external entity references, which can lead to sensitive information disclosure. An attacker could exploit this by crafting a malicious XML payload that references local files, potentially exposing sensitive data such as /etc/passwd. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-75128 9.3 critical 1.0% no CPE yet Langchain-Chatchat through 0.3.1.3 exposes a POST /tools/call API endpoint that invokes any registered tool by name without authentication, leaving the always-registered shell tool callable. Remote attackers can send a single request naming the shell tool to execute arbitrary OS commands as the server user (root in the shipped Docker image). 20 Oct
CVE-2025-68665 9.1 critical 1.0% langchain, langchain.js, langchain\/core LangChain is a framework for building LLM-powered applications. Prior to @langchain/core versions 0.3.80 and 1.1.8, and prior to langchain versions 0.3.37 and 1.2.3, a serialization injection vulnerability exists in LangChain JS's toJSON() method (and subsequently when string-ifying objects using JSON.stringify(). The method did not escape objects with 'lc' keys when serializing free-form data in kwargs. The 'lc' key is used internally by LangChain to mark serialized objects. When user-controlled data contains this key structure, it is treated as a legitimate LangChain object during deserialization rather than plain user data. This issue has been patched in @langchain/core versions 0.3.80 and 1.1.8, and langchain versions 0.3.37 and 1.2.3 19 Oct
CVE-2025-65106 8.3 high 1.0% no CPE yet LangChain is a framework for building agents and LLM-powered applications. From versions 0.3.79 and prior and 1.0.0 to 1.0.6, a template injection vulnerability exists in LangChain's prompt template system that allows attackers to access Python object internals through template syntax. This vulnerability affects applications that accept untrusted template strings (not just template variables) in ChatPromptTemplate and related prompt template classes. This issue has been patched in versions 0.3.80 and 1.0.7. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-72848 7.7 high 1.0% no CPE yet SitemapLoader.parse_sitemap in langchain_community/document_loaders/sitemap.py applies the documented restrict_to_same_domain control only to leaf url entries. The loop over url elements filters cross-domain locations, but the loop over nested sitemap elements passes the child loc straight to self.scrape_all([loc.text], "xml"), which reaches WebBaseLoader.scrape_all and an aiohttp GET, with no domain comparison and no check for private, loopback or link-local destinations. An attacker who controls or influences an ingested sitemap can therefore point a nested sitemap entry at an internal address and make the server fetch it even when the deploying application set restrict_to_same_domain to True specifically to confine outbound requests. The fetched content is parsed and surfaces in the returned Documents, so internal responses are disclosed to the caller rather than merely requested. 18 Oct
CVE-2025-6985 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet The HTMLSectionSplitter class in langchain-text-splitters version 0.3.8 is vulnerable to XML External Entity (XXE) attacks due to unsafe XSLT parsing. This vulnerability arises because the class allows the use of arbitrary XSLT stylesheets, which are parsed using lxml.etree.parse() and lxml.etree.XSLT() without any hardening measures. In lxml versions up to 4.9.x, external entities are resolved by default, allowing attackers to read arbitrary local files or perform outbound HTTP(S) fetches. In lxml versions 5.0 and above, while entity expansion is disabled, the XSLT document() function can still read any URI unless XSLTAccessControl is applied. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to gain read-only access to any file the LangChain process can reach, including sensitive files such as SSH keys, environment files, source code, or cloud metadata. No authentication, special privileges, or user interaction are required, and the issue is exploitable in default deployments that enable custom XSLT. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-40190 9.8 critical 0.00% langchain, langsmith LangSmith Client SDKs provide SDK's for interacting with the LangSmith platform. Prior to 0.5.18, the LangSmith JavaScript/TypeScript SDK (langsmith) contains an incomplete prototype pollution fix in its internally vendored lodash set() utility. The baseAssignValue() function only guards against the __proto__ key, but fails to prevent traversal via constructor.prototype. This allows an attacker who controls keys in data processed by the createAnonymizer() API to pollute Object.prototype, affecting all objects in the Node.js process. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.5.18. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2025-8709 7.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet A SQL injection vulnerability exists in the langchain-ai/langchain repository, specifically in the LangGraph's SQLite store implementation. The affected version is langgraph-checkpoint-sqlite 2.0.10. The vulnerability arises from improper handling of filter operators ($eq, $ne, $gt, $lt, $gte, $lte) where direct string concatenation is used without proper parameterization. This allows attackers to inject arbitrary SQL, leading to unauthorized access to all documents, data exfiltration of sensitive fields such as passwords and API keys, and a complete bypass of application-level security filters. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-45134 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet LangSmith Client SDKs provide SDK's for interacting with the LangSmith platform. Prior to LangSmith SDK Python 0.8.0 and JS/TS 0.6.0, the LangSmith SDK's prompt pull methods (pull_prompt / pull_prompt_commit in Python, pullPrompt / pullPromptCommit in JS/TS) fetch and deserialize prompt manifests from the LangSmith Hub. These manifests may contain serialized LangChain objects and model configuration that affect runtime behavior. When pulling a public prompt by owner/name identifier, the manifest content is controlled by an external party, but prior versions of the SDK did not distinguish this from pulling a prompt within the caller's own organization. This vulnerability is fixed in LangSmith SDK Python 0.8.0 and JS/TS 0.6.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-114510 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet Flexible GraphRAG is a Python framework for building graph and retrieval-augmented generation applications across multiple graph, vector, and search backends. From 0.6.0 until 0.8.2, the _escape() helper in flexible-graphrag/langchain/graph/pg_store_adapters/falkordb_adapter.py escapes quotes before backslashes and then interpolates the result into Cypher assembled by FalkorDBAdapter.add_graph_documents, allowing an inserted escape to be doubled and a quote to terminate the string early. When GRAPH_BACKEND=langchain and GRAPH_DB=falkordb are configured, attacker-influenced ingested document content can cause the extraction model to produce malicious entity or relationship values that reach these queries, allowing injected Cypher clauses to modify or delete graph data and, when the calling code surfaces query results to the user or LLM, disclose graph data. Dynamic node and relationship type identifiers are also inserted into backtick-quoted query positions without safe parameterization. The LlamaIndex FalkorDB store is not affected. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.2. Thu 22 Oct
CVE-2026-41481 6.5 medium 0.00% langchain, langchain-text-splitters LangChain is a framework for building agents and LLM-powered applications. Prior to langchain-text-splitters 1.1.2, HTMLHeaderTextSplitter.split_text_from_url() validated the initial URL using validate_safe_url() but then performed the fetch with requests.get() with redirects enabled (the default). Because redirect targets were not revalidated, a URL pointing to an attacker-controlled server could redirect to internal, localhost, or cloud metadata endpoints, bypassing SSRF protections. The response body is parsed and returned as Document objects to the calling application code. Whether this constitutes a data exfiltration path depends on the application: if it exposes Document contents (or derivatives) back to the requester who supplied the URL, sensitive data from internal endpoints could be leaked. Applications that store or process Documents internally without returning raw content to the requester are not directly exposed to data exfiltration through this issue. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.1.2. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2025-58177 5.4 medium 0.00% n8n n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. From 1.24.0 to before 1.107.0, there is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in @n8n/n8n-nodes-langchain.chatTrigger. An authorized user can configure the LangChain Chat Trigger node with malicious JavaScript in the initialMessages field and enable public access so that the payload is executed in the browser of any user who visits the resulting public chat URL. This can be used for phishing or to steal cookies or other sensitive data from users accessing the public chat link. The issue is fixed in version 1.107.0. Updating to 1.107.0 or later is recommended. As a workaround, the affected chatTrigger node can be disabled. No other workarounds are known. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-40087 5.3 medium 0.00% langchain, langchain_core LangChain is a framework for building agents and LLM-powered applications. Prior to 0.3.84 and 1.2.28, LangChain's f-string prompt-template validation was incomplete in two respects. First, some prompt template classes accepted f-string templates and formatted them without enforcing the same attribute-access validation as PromptTemplate. In particular, DictPromptTemplate and ImagePromptTemplate could accept templates containing attribute access or indexing expressions and subsequently evaluate those expressions during formatting. Second, f-string validation based on parsed top-level field names did not reject nested replacement fields inside format specifiers. In this pattern, the nested replacement field appears in the format specifier rather than in the top-level field name. As a result, earlier validation based on parsed field names did not reject the template even though Python formatting would still attempt to resolve the nested expression at runtime. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.3.84 and 1.2.28. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-41488 3.1 low 0.00% langchain, langchain-openai LangChain is a framework for building agents and LLM-powered applications. Prior to 1.1.14, langchain-openai's _url_to_size() helper (used by get_num_tokens_from_messages for image token counting) validated URLs for SSRF protection and then fetched them in a separate network operation with independent DNS resolution. This left a TOCTOU / DNS rebinding window: an attacker-controlled hostname could resolve to a public IP during validation and then to a private/localhost IP during the actual fetch. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-14630 1.3 low 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability has been found in ForceInjection AI-fundermentals 2.0/3.0. Affected by this vulnerability is the function get_conversation_history of the file 08_agentic_system/memory/langchain/code/smart_customer_service.py of the component Memory Recall Handler. The manipulation leads to use of weak hash. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. A high degree of complexity is needed for the attack. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The identifier of the patch is f57277fdd9ba373ace72d83c272023ec67f720d6. It is suggested to install a patch to address this issue. The project confirms (translated from Chinese): "We now require session ownership verification in methods such as `username`, `sessionowner`, etc., and we've chat()changed the generation of `sessionowner` to include verified user identity and security context metadata." Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-14742 1.3 low 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability was determined in langchain-ai langgraph up to 1.2.4. The affected element is the function _freeze of the file libs/langgraph/langgraph/_internal/_cache.py of the component Task Result Cache. This manipulation of the argument default_cache_key causes use of weak hash. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitability is described as difficult. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance. Sun 25 Oct
