CVE-2026-45321KEVexploit ×12 9.6 critical 3.0% tanstack, mistral, tanstack\/arktype-adapter, tanstack\/eslint-plugin-router, tanstack\/eslint-plugin-start On 2026-05-11, between approximately 19:20 and 19:26 UTC, 84 malicious versions across 42 @tanstack/* packages were published to the npm registry. The publishes were authenticated via the legitimate GitHub Actions OIDC trusted-publisher binding for TanStack/router, but the publish workflow itself was not modified. The attacker chained three known vulnerability classes — a pull_request_target "Pwn Request" misconfiguration, GitHub Actions cache poisoning across the fork↔base trust boundary, and runtime memory extraction of the OIDC token from the Actions runner process — to publish credential-stealing malware under a trusted identity. Each affected package received exactly two malicious versions, published a few minutes apart. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-40393 9.8 critical 0.00% mesa3d, mesa In Mesa before 25.3.6 and 26 before 26.0.1, out-of-bounds memory access can occur in WebGPU because the amount of to-be-allocated data depends on an untrusted party, and is then used for alloca. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-98143 7.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel: ethosu: Don't read the U65 rounding mode as a storage mode Bits 15:14 of NPU_SET_{IFM,OFM}_PRECISION select the activation storage mode on U85 only. On U65 the same field holds the rounding mode, and the command stream parser has read it as a storage mode since the driver was added. That went unnoticed while unknown values fell through the switch, but now that they are rejected, every U65 command stream that asks for natural rounding (2) fails CMDSTREAM_BO_CREATE with -EINVAL. Mesa emits it for average pooling, concatenation, split, unpack, strided slice, LUT and argmax, which is 72 failures of the Teflon test suite on an i.MX93. Truncating rounding (1) is misread as well: it picks the two-tile address path and computes a bogus feature map size from tile bases the command stream never set. Read the field as a storage mode only on the hardware where it is one. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-90047 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: Don't hand out the flat CCS storage as usable VRAM get_flat_ccs_offset() reads the base of the flat CCS storage from the hardware, scales it by the number of enabled L3 nodes, and rounds the result up to 128K. Everything below that offset is then handed to the VRAM allocator as usable memory. Rounding a limit that means "usable memory ends here" upwards publishes whatever lies between the real base and the rounded one as free memory, and that memory belongs to the compression hardware. The scaled value has no reason to be 128K aligned, and on a Battlemage G21 with 16 GiB it is not: flat CCS base: raw 0x3fafff800, rounded 0x3fb000000 so the last 2 KiB of page 0x3fafff000 is CCS storage, in the allocator's pool. Whatever is allocated there gets that tail overwritten by the compression hardware, which needs no page-table entry, no buffer object and no GPU submission to do it, and does it before userspace exists. On this machine a Mesa VM's level-3 page table landed on that page on every cold boot. It lost the entry covering the compositor's batch-buffer heap, so the compositor's first submission faulted fetching its batch and gdm restarted it forever: a black screen on an otherwise working machine. Restarting gdm cleared it because the next VM's page tables were allocated somewhere else. Round down instead, to the page size the allocator works in. On this machine that excludes exactly one page. Reading the reserved page afterwards shows what had been writing it: [369] 0xcccc000000000000 [371] 0xcc77000000000000 [373] 0xcccc000000000000 [375] 0xcc77000000000000 compression metadata, two bytes per sixteen, sitting where the driver used to hand out memory. The assertion that should have caught this compares the offset against GSMBASE - ccs_size for equality. That value is 128K aligned, so it agrees with the rounded-up offset precisely when the base is not aligned - the check cannot fail in the case it exists to catch, and is compiled out unless CONFIG_DRM_XE_DEBUG is set. Replace it with one that can fail: CCS storage must not run into GSM. [ And this was a debug session from hell, enormously helped by an AI doing much of the grunt-work. I'd like to call it my tireless helper, but the AI several times stated flat out that this was impossible and unsolvable and that we should just write a report about it. I suspect those things have been trained by people who may not be quite as stubborn as I am. But while the AI was ready to give up several times, it did keep adding debug code and analyzing it faithfully when I pushed. So credit where credit is due and I let the AI write the commit message above. This is basically a one-liner fixing a bogus "round_up()" to a "round_down()", but there were 24 patches adding more and more debug information to this, and 18 kernel boot to finally narrow it down to this. - Linus ] 19 Oct
CVE-2025-68184 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mediatek: Disable AFBC support on Mediatek DRM driver Commit c410fa9b07c3 ("drm/mediatek: Add AFBC support to Mediatek DRM driver") added AFBC support to Mediatek DRM and enabled the 32x8/split/sparse modifier. However, this is currently broken on Mediatek MT8188 (Genio 700 EVK platform); tested using upstream Kernel and Mesa (v25.2.1), AFBC is used by default since Mesa v25.0. Kernel trace reports vblank timeouts constantly, and the render is garbled: ``` [CRTC:62:crtc-0] vblank wait timed out WARNING: CPU: 7 PID: 70 at drivers/gpu/drm/drm_atomic_helper.c:1835 drm_atomic_helper_wait_for_vblanks.part.0+0x24c/0x27c [...] Hardware name: MediaTek Genio-700 EVK (DT) Workqueue: events_unbound commit_work pstate: 60400009 (nZCv daif +PAN -UAO -TCO -DIT -SSBS BTYPE=--) pc : drm_atomic_helper_wait_for_vblanks.part.0+0x24c/0x27c lr : drm_atomic_helper_wait_for_vblanks.part.0+0x24c/0x27c sp : ffff80008337bca0 x29: ffff80008337bcd0 x28: 0000000000000061 x27: 0000000000000000 x26: 0000000000000001 x25: 0000000000000000 x24: ffff0000c9dcc000 x23: 0000000000000001 x22: 0000000000000000 x21: ffff0000c66f2f80 x20: ffff0000c0d7d880 x19: 0000000000000000 x18: 000000000000000a x17: 000000040044ffff x16: 005000f2b5503510 x15: 0000000000000000 x14: 0000000000000000 x13: 74756f2064656d69 x12: 742074696177206b x11: 0000000000000058 x10: 0000000000000018 x9 : ffff800082396a70 x8 : 0000000000057fa8 x7 : 0000000000000cce x6 : ffff8000823eea70 x5 : ffff0001fef5f408 x4 : ffff80017ccee000 x3 : ffff0000c12cb480 x2 : 0000000000000000 x1 : 0000000000000000 x0 : ffff0000c12cb480 Call trace: drm_atomic_helper_wait_for_vblanks.part.0+0x24c/0x27c (P) drm_atomic_helper_commit_tail_rpm+0x64/0x80 commit_tail+0xa4/0x1a4 commit_work+0x14/0x20 process_one_work+0x150/0x290 worker_thread+0x2d0/0x3ec kthread+0x12c/0x210 ret_from_fork+0x10/0x20 ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]--- ``` Until this gets fixed upstream, disable AFBC support on this platform, as it's currently broken with upstream Mesa. 14 Oct

CVE-2022-49963 5.5 medium 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915/ttm: fix CCS handling Crucible + recent Mesa seems to sometimes hit: GEM_BUG_ON(num_ccs_blks > NUM_CCS_BLKS_PER_XFER) And it looks like we can also trigger this with gem_lmem_swapping, if we modify the test to use slightly larger object sizes. Looking closer it looks like we have the following issues in migrate_copy(): - We are using plain integer in various places, which we can easily overflow with a large object. - We pass the entire object size (when the src is lmem) into emit_pte() and then try to copy it, which doesn't work, since we only have a few fixed sized windows in which to map the pages and perform the copy. With an object > 8M we therefore aren't properly copying the pages. And then with an object > 64M we trigger the GEM_BUG_ON(num_ccs_blks > NUM_CCS_BLKS_PER_XFER). So it looks like our copy handling for any object > 8M (which is our CHUNK_SZ) is currently broken on DG2. CVE-2026-97620 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: Flush LSC untyped L1 dataport cache after rcs/ccs batches emit_render_cache_flush() sets PIPE_CONTROL0_HDC_PIPELINE_FLUSH to flush the L2/HDC data cache before fence signalling, but it never requests a flush of the LSC untyped L1 data cache via the 'Untyped Data-Port Cache Flush Enable' bit in PIPE_CONTROL DWord0[11]. Per the Bspec, in 3D pipeline mode HDC Pipeline Flush is documented to also flush/invalidate the untyped L1 cache, but only depending on how HDC_CHICKEN0[13:11] is programmed. Starting with MTL, this coupling between HDC Pipeline Flush and the untyped L1 cache flush no longer holds in practice, regardless of how HDC_CHICKEN0 is programmed, so relying on it is not safe on newer platforms such as BMG. Mesa's Vulkan driver (anv) has been assuming the kernel flushes both caches between submissions, and hit user-visible corruption in apps such as Llama.cpp because of this gap; it now works around it by flushing both caches again from userspace at the end of every command buffer. Correctness between submissions on the same queue is userspace's responsibility and belongs in Mesa, not the kernel. However, for security we must ensure stale data can't leak through the untyped L1 dataport cache once memory is reclaimed or evicted, which requires the KMD to flush it before releasing memory for reuse. Prior to MTL, HDC_CHICKEN0 could be programmed (as already done for DG2 via Wa_22010960976/Wa_14013347512) to reliably keep HDC Pipeline Flush coupled to the untyped L1 cache flush, so those platforms are unaffected. Mesa's own anv driver found that on MTL the HW disconnected the two independently of how HDC_CHICKEN0 is programmed, and could not bring the old behavior back even by writing the register by hand; see Mesa commit 7c2ff46a4fc3 ("anv: don't prevent L1 untyped cache flush in 3D mode"). The kernel can't reliably request the flush from the CS on MTL either, so restrict the new PIPE_CONTROL bit to GRAPHICS_VERx100 >= 2000 (Xe2 and later), where it can be relied on. Explicitly set PIPE_CONTROL0_UNTYPED_DATAPORT_CACHE_FLUSH together with PIPE_CONTROL0_HDC_PIPELINE_FLUSH in emit_render_cache_flush() on Xe2 and later, so the L1 data cache is known clean before memory is released for reuse, without depending on undocumented platform-specific HDC_CHICKEN0 behavior. CVE-2025-40329 unscored 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/sched: Fix deadlock in drm_sched_entity_kill_jobs_cb The Mesa issue referenced below pointed out a possible deadlock: [ 1231.611031] Possible interrupt unsafe locking scenario: [ 1231.611033] CPU0 CPU1 [ 1231.611034] ---- ---- [ 1231.611035] lock(&xa->xa_lock#17); [ 1231.611038] local_irq_disable(); [ 1231.611039] lock(&fence->lock); [ 1231.611041] lock(&xa->xa_lock#17); [ 1231.611044] <Interrupt> [ 1231.611045] lock(&fence->lock); [ 1231.611047] *** DEADLOCK *** In this example, CPU0 would be any function accessing job->dependencies through the xa_* functions that don't disable interrupts (eg: drm_sched_job_add_dependency(), drm_sched_entity_kill_jobs_cb()). CPU1 is executing drm_sched_entity_kill_jobs_cb() as a fence signalling callback so in an interrupt context. It will deadlock when trying to grab the xa_lock which is already held by CPU0. Replacing all xa_* usage by their xa_*_irq counterparts would fix this issue, but Christian pointed out another issue: dma_fence_signal takes fence.lock and so does dma_fence_add_callback. dma_fence_signal() // locks f1.lock -> drm_sched_entity_kill_jobs_cb() -> foreach dependencies -> dma_fence_add_callback() // locks f2.lock This will deadlock if f1 and f2 share the same spinlock. To fix both issues, the code iterating on dependencies and re-arming them is moved out to drm_sched_entity_kill_jobs_work(). [phasta: commit message nits] 14 Oct
