CVE-2025-58180exploit ×2 7.5 high 22.0% octoprint OctoPrint provides a web interface for controlling consumer 3D printers. OctoPrint versions up until and including 1.11.2 contain a vulnerability that allows an authenticated attacker to upload a file under a specially crafted filename that will allow arbitrary command execution if said filename becomes included in a command defined in a system event handler and said event gets triggered. If no event handlers executing system commands with uploaded filenames as parameters have been configured, this vulnerability does not have an impact. The vulnerability is patched in version 1.11.3. As a workaround, OctoPrint administrators who have event handlers configured that include any kind of filename based placeholders should disable those by setting their `enabled` property to `False` or unchecking the "Enabled" checkbox in the GUI based Event Manager. Alternatively, OctoPrint administrators should set `feature.enforceReallyUniversalFilenames` to `true` in `config.yaml` and restart OctoPrint, then vet the existing uploads and make sure to delete any suspicious looking files. As always, OctoPrint administrators are advised to not expose OctoPrint on hostile networks like the public internet, and to vet who has access to their instance. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-62169 8.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet OctoPrint-SpoolManager is a plugin for managing spools and all their usage metadata. In versions 1.8.0a2 and older of the testing branch and versions 1.7.7 and older of the stable branch, the APIs of the OctoPrint-SpoolManager plugin do not correctly enforce authentication or authorization checks. This issue has been patched in versions 1.8.0a3 of the testing branch and 1.7.8 of the stable branch. The impact of this vulnerability is greatly reduced when using OctoPrint version 1.11.2 and newer. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-54134 7.0 high 0.00% no CPE yet OctoPrint provides a web interface for controlling consumer 3D printers. Prior to 1.11.8 and 2.0.0rc3, OctoPrint's custom Tornado upload handler and Flask with Werkzeug parse request parameters differently, allowing an attacker with FILE_UPLOAD permission to inject reserved internal upload fields through query parameters or parser differentials despite the earlier GHSA-m9jh-jf9h-x3h2 fix. The affected endpoints are /api/files/{local|sdcard}, /api/languages, /plugin/backup/restore, and /plugin/pluginmanager/upload_file. An attacker can make OctoPrint treat an arbitrary host file as a temporary upload, move it into a downloadable upload directory, disclose configuration secrets or other readable files, and remove runtime files in a way that can affect a later restart. This issue is fixed in versions 1.11.8 and 2.0.0rc3. 14 Oct
CVE-2014-125135 6.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A security vulnerability has been detected in OctoPrint 1.0.0/1.1.0. Affected is an unknown function of the component Flask Secret Key Handler. Such manipulation leads to use of hard-coded cryptographic key . The attack may be performed from remote. Upgrading to version 1.11.1 is able to address this issue. The name of the patch is b4699825d6ab92d5451e5b1e3a06dfb81f86e777. The affected component should be upgraded. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2013-10077 5.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A weakness has been identified in OctoPrint 1.0.0. This impacts the function getSettings of the file src/octoprint/server/ajax/settings.py of the component API Key Handler. This manipulation causes information disclosure. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. Upgrading to version 1.1.0-rc1 will fix this issue. Patch name: eccc9d6fbde0c46cdd6e255fd5ce9a30077ba954. You should upgrade the affected component. Affected is a 2013 release where access control was not yet implemented and the endpoint was part of first-run setup). The API key has been admin-gated since 1.2.0 and GET /api/settings is protected by Permissions.SETTINGS_READ plus reauthentication in all current releases. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-35163 4.6 medium 0.00% no CPE yet OctoPrint provides a web interface for controlling consumer 3D printers. Prior to 1.11.8 and 2.0.0rc3, Suppressed Command notification popups use PNotify rendering for printer-controlled payload.command and payload.message values in src/octoprint/static/js/app/viewmodels/terminal.js without HTML escaping. An attacker who convinces a victim to print a crafted file can inject HTML and JavaScript into the notification, disrupt prints, read information available to the victim including sensitive settings when permitted, or perform actions in the victim's OctoPrint session. This issue is fixed in versions 1.11.8 and 2.0.0rc3. 14 Oct
