| CVE-2026-54859 | 9.8 critical | — | themerex, preservation | Unauthenticated PHP Object Injection in Preservation <= 1.15 versions. | 5 h ago |
| CVE-2026-70458 | 8.8 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | rsync 3.0.0 before 3.5.0 contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that allows attackers to corrupt memory by triggering HLINK_BUMP processing on file entries with the FLAG_HLINKED flag set while the hard-link preservation option is inactive. Attackers can exploit the missing F_SUM field in the file_struct layout to access memory past the end of the allocated structure, corrupting adjacent heap or stack data. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-54737 | 7.3 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | @phun-ky/defaults-deep is a library like lodash defaultsDeep with array preservation and no lodash dependency. Prior to 2.0.5, defaultsDeep() recursively merges user-supplied objects without filtering proto, constructor, and prototype, allowing properties to be written to Object.prototype. This issue is fixed in version 2.0.5. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-35350 | 6.6 medium | 0.00% | uutils, coreutils | The cp utility in uutils coreutils fails to properly handle setuid and setgid bits when ownership preservation fails. When copying with the -p (preserve) flag, the utility applies the source mode bits even if the chown operation is unsuccessful. This can result in a user-owned copy retaining original privileged bits, creating unexpected privileged executables that violate local security policies. This differs from GNU cp, which clears these bits when ownership cannot be preserved. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-106492 | 6.5 medium | 0.00% | linuxfoundation, backstage\/backend-defaults, backstage | Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.16.1 and 0.17.8, the @backstage/backend-defaults package is affected by improper preservation of access restrictions during service credential delegation. An external service credential configured with access restrictions (e.g., read-only) could bypass those restrictions by routing requests through plugin delegation paths. This could allow a restricted service to perform operations beyond its intended scope, including write operations on plugins it was restricted to read-only access for. This issue is fixed in versions 0.16.1 and 0.17.8. | 22 Oct |
| CVE-2026-114478 | 5.9 medium | 0.00% | no CPE yet | Insufficient preservation of the original sender in the forwarding of Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.0.0 through 6.3.6 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to have mail they write, naming in its From an address at a domain the server hosts, delivered to other receivers as passing that domain's DMARC policy. When the server sent on a copy of mail that came from outside - an account's forward, a mail rule's forward, a Sieve redirect, a list's copy, or an alias or list expanding to an outside address - it could give the copy an SMTP identity in the organisation of the domain the copy's From names, whatever the message's origin: with the Sender Rewriting Scheme or the rewrite of the envelope sender on forwarding enabled (both off by default), an address at the forwarding domain; for a list, its bounce address; for a message with an empty envelope sender, none, under the server's own host name; and an envelope sender the message came with at a subdomain of a hosted domain was kept. Where that identity's SPF record authorises the server, other receivers' SPF check of the copy passed for a domain aligned with the From, and DMARC passed with it, although the message had not passed DMARC when the server received it. Exploitation needs a forward, redirect, alias or list that carries the hosted domain's mail to an outside address, and one of: SRS or the envelope rewrite enabled; a list whose bounce address is in the domain's organisation; an envelope sender at a subdomain whose SPF record authorises the server; or, for an empty envelope sender, an SPF record that authorises the server under its host name. The DKIM route to the same result is CVE-2026-107567. | 4 h ago |
| CVE-2026-35354 | 4.7 medium | 0.00% | uutils, coreutils | A Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) vulnerability exists in the mv utility of uutils coreutils during cross-device moves. The extended attribute (xattr) preservation logic uses multiple path-based system calls that perform fresh path-to-inode lookups for each operation. A local attacker with write access to the directory can exploit this race to swap files between calls, causing the destination file to receive an inconsistent mix of security xattrs, such as SELinux labels or file capabilities. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-89568 | unscored | 0.00% | no CPE yet | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kho: fix size calculation in kho_preserved_memory_reserve() kho_preserved_memory_reserve() calculates the size of a preservation by doing 1 << (order + PAGE_SHIFT). Since the '1' is a 32-bit integer, it can only be shifted by 31. That is, it will only work for preservations up to 2 GiB. Larger preservations will trigger undefined behaviour. While preservations larger than 2 GiB can't be obtained via folios currently, they can be obtained via kho_preserve_pages(). For example, memblock reserve_mem uses kho_preserve_pages(). Reservations larger than 2 GiB are valid and will trigger this bug if properly aligned. Fix it by using 1UL for shifting. | 19 Oct |
