CVE-2023-48795exploit ×5 5.9 medium 94.0% openbsd, putty, openssh, filezilla_client The SSH transport protocol with certain OpenSSH extensions, found in OpenSSH before 9.6 and other products, allows remote attackers to bypass integrity checks such that some packets are omitted (from the extension negotiation message), and a client and server may consequently end up with a connection for which some security features have been downgraded or disabled, aka a Terrapin attack. This occurs because the SSH Binary Packet Protocol (BPP), implemented by these extensions, mishandles the handshake phase and mishandles use of sequence numbers. For example, there is an effective attack against SSH's use of ChaCha20-Poly1305 (and CBC with Encrypt-then-MAC). The bypass occurs in [email protected] and (if CBC is used) the [email protected] MAC algorithms. This also affects Maverick Synergy Java SSH API before 3.1.0-SNAPSHOT, Dropbear through 2022.83, Ssh before 5.1.1 in Erlang/OTP, PuTTY before 0.80, AsyncSSH before 2.14.2, golang.org/x/crypto before 0.17.0, libssh before 0.10.6, libssh2 through 1.11.0, Thorn Tech SFTP Gateway before 3.4.6, Tera Term before 5.1, Paramiko before 3.4.0, jsch before 0.2.15, SFTPGo before 2.5.6, Netgate pfSense Plus through 23.09.1, Netgate pfSense CE through 2.7.2, HPN-SSH through 18.2.0, ProFTPD before 1.3.8b (and before 1.3.9rc2), ORYX CycloneSSH before 2.3.4, NetSarang XShell 7 before Build 0144, CrushFTP before 10.6.0, ConnectBot SSH library before 2.2.22, Apache MINA sshd through 2.11.0, sshj through 0.37.0, TinySSH through 20230101, trilead-ssh2 6401, LANCOM LCOS and LANconfig, FileZilla before 3.66.4, Nova before 11.8, PKIX-SSH before 14.4, SecureCRT before 9.4.3, Transmit5 before 5.10.4, Win32-OpenSSH before 9.5.0.0p1-Beta, WinSCP before 6.2.2, Bitvise SSH Server before 9.32, Bitvise SSH Client before 9.33, KiTTY through 0.76.1.13, the net-ssh gem 7.2.0 for Ruby, the mscdex ssh2 module before 1.15.0 for Node.js, the thrussh library before 0.35.1 for Rust, and the Russh crate before 0.40.2 for Rust. 15 Oct
CVE-2023-30549 7.8 high 0.00% lfprojects, sylabs, apptainer, singularity, enterprise_linux Apptainer is an open source container platform for Linux. There is an ext4 use-after-free flaw that is exploitable through versions of Apptainer < 1.1.0 and installations that include apptainer-suid < 1.1.8 on older operating systems where that CVE has not been patched. That includes Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, Debian 10 buster (unless the linux-5.10 package is installed), Ubuntu 18.04 bionic and Ubuntu 20.04 focal. Use-after-free flaws in the kernel can be used to attack the kernel for denial of service and potentially for privilege escalation. Apptainer 1.1.8 includes a patch that by default disables mounting of extfs filesystem types in setuid-root mode, while continuing to allow mounting of extfs filesystems in non-setuid "rootless" mode using fuse2fs. Some workarounds are possible. Either do not install apptainer-suid (for versions 1.1.0 through 1.1.7) or set `allow setuid = no` in apptainer.conf. This requires having unprivileged user namespaces enabled and except for apptainer 1.1.x versions will disallow mounting of sif files, extfs files, and squashfs files in addition to other, less significant impacts. (Encrypted sif files are also not supported unprivileged in apptainer 1.1.x.). Alternatively, use the `limit containers` options in apptainer.conf/singularity.conf to limit sif files to trusted users, groups, and/or paths, and set `allow container extfs = no` to disallow mounting of extfs overlay files. The latter option by itself does not disallow mounting of extfs overlay partitions inside SIF files, so that's why the former options are also needed. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2024-3056 7.7 high — red hat, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 7, red hat enterprise linux 8 A flaw was found in Podman. This issue may allow an attacker to create a specially crafted container that, when configured to share the same IPC with at least one other container, can create a large number of IPC resources in /dev/shm. The malicious container will continue to exhaust resources until it is out-of-memory (OOM) killed. While the malicious container's cgroup will be removed, the IPC resources it created are not. Those resources are tied to the IPC namespace that will not be removed until all containers using it are stopped, and one non-malicious container is holding the namespace open. The malicious container is restarted, either automatically or by attacker control, repeating the process and increasing the amount of memory consumed. With a container configured to restart always, such as `podman run --restart=always`, this can result in a memory-based denial of service of the system. 11 h ago
CVE-2026-112177 7.3 high 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in Ghostscript as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8. The correction for CVE-2019-14869 was omitted during the rebase from version 9.25 to 9.27, leaving privileged .forceput operations in the .charkeys procedure insufficiently protected. Processing a specially crafted PostScript file may allow an attacker to bypass -dSAFER restrictions and access files outside the permitted paths or execute commands with the permissions of the Ghostscript process. 20 Oct
CVE-2023-6270 7.0 high — red hat, red hat enterprise linux 6, red hat enterprise linux 7, red hat enterprise linux 8 A flaw was found in the ATA over Ethernet (AoE) driver in the Linux kernel. The aoecmd_cfg_pkts() function improperly updates the refcnt on `struct net_device`, and a use-after-free can be triggered by racing between the free on the struct and the access through the `skbtxq` global queue. This could lead to a denial of service condition or potential code execution. 10 h ago
CVE-2023-3397 7.0 high — red hat, red hat enterprise linux 6, red hat enterprise linux 7, red hat enterprise linux 8 A race condition occurred between the functions lmLogClose and txEnd in JFS, in the Linux Kernel, executed in different threads. This flaw allows a local attacker with normal user privileges to crash the system or leak internal kernel information. 10 h ago
CVE-2026-93006 6.8 medium — red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. The TFTP server can serve the wrong file contents because a recently used transfer cache is not invalidated when a transfer finishes. An attacker on the local network who can request a TFTP file may cause a later client to receive previously cached data instead of the requested file. In PXE network-boot environments this can substitute attacker-chosen boot content for a victim machine. 5 h ago
CVE-2026-93008 6.8 medium — red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. When following a CNAME in a DNS response, the resolver can cache records for the CNAME target without checking that those records belong to the responding server's authorized zone. In split-DNS deployments that send some domains to a specific upstream, an attacker who controls that upstream can inject cache entries for unrelated names. Later clients may then receive attacker-chosen addresses for those names. 5 h ago
CVE-2026-117548 6.5 medium — red hat, red hat directory server 11, red hat directory server 12, red hat directory server 13 A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in 389-ds-base. This flaw occurs when a ModifyDN (rename) operation uses an attribute's schema alias name (such as "commonName") instead of its canonical name (such as "cn") as the new relative distinguished name. An authenticated attacker with the ModifyDN (rename) permission on the affected entry can use this flaw to crash the directory server, causing a denial of service. 12 h ago
CVE-2026-93011 5.3 medium — red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. After a reduction of internal domain-name buffer sizes, the DNSSEC validator can write a few bytes past a name buffer when converting names to and from DNS wire format. An attacker who can cause the server to validate a crafted DNSSEC response may overwrite a small amount of adjacent heap metadata. DNSSEC support is not compiled in by default and must also be enabled at runtime. 4 h ago
CVE-2026-93007 5.3 medium — red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. The TCP DNS service uses a small fixed pool of child processes and does not set a receive timeout on client connections. A remote attacker can open idle TCP connections to port 53 and occupy the entire pool, preventing new TCP DNS connections and DNSSEC validation that requires TCP fallback. UDP DNS resolution continues, and occupied slots are released after a fixed lifetime. 5 h ago
CVE-2024-0340 4.4 medium — red hat, red hat enterprise linux 8, red hat enterprise linux 9, red hat enterprise linux 9.4 extended update support A vulnerability was found in vhost_new_msg in drivers/vhost/vhost.c in the Linux kernel, which does not properly initialize memory in messages passed between virtual guests and the host operating system in the vhost/vhost.c:vhost_new_msg() function. This issue can allow local privileged users to read some kernel memory contents when reading from the /dev/vhost-net device file. 11 h ago
CVE-2026-93009 4.3 medium — red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. The DHCPv6 client hostname parser can read one byte past the end of a crafted FQDN option because it checks the next label length before confirming the pointer is still inside the option. An attacker on the local network can trigger this with a single DHCPv6 packet. The extra byte is not returned to the client or logged, and no crash has been demonstrated. 5 h ago
CVE-2026-93010 4.3 medium — red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. When DHCP leasequery is enabled without listing allowed source addresses, the server does not check who sent the query. A host on the local network can request DHCP lease records and learn assigned addresses, MAC addresses, hostnames, and related lease metadata. The feature is off unless an administrator turns it on. 5 h ago
CVE-2026-85498 3.5 low — red hat, red hat hardened images, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in polkit. When processing input that begins with a null byte, an arithmetic error in the authentication agent helper causes an integer underflow during buffer length calculation, resulting in an out-of-bounds memory read. An attacker capable of supplying crafted input can trigger this flaw, potentially causing an application crash and resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). 5 h ago
