CVE-2023-48795exploit ×5 5.9 medium 94.0% openbsd, putty, openssh, filezilla_client The SSH transport protocol with certain OpenSSH extensions, found in OpenSSH before 9.6 and other products, allows remote attackers to bypass integrity checks such that some packets are omitted (from the extension negotiation message), and a client and server may consequently end up with a connection for which some security features have been downgraded or disabled, aka a Terrapin attack. This occurs because the SSH Binary Packet Protocol (BPP), implemented by these extensions, mishandles the handshake phase and mishandles use of sequence numbers. For example, there is an effective attack against SSH's use of ChaCha20-Poly1305 (and CBC with Encrypt-then-MAC). The bypass occurs in [email protected] and (if CBC is used) the [email protected] MAC algorithms. This also affects Maverick Synergy Java SSH API before 3.1.0-SNAPSHOT, Dropbear through 2022.83, Ssh before 5.1.1 in Erlang/OTP, PuTTY before 0.80, AsyncSSH before 2.14.2, golang.org/x/crypto before 0.17.0, libssh before 0.10.6, libssh2 through 1.11.0, Thorn Tech SFTP Gateway before 3.4.6, Tera Term before 5.1, Paramiko before 3.4.0, jsch before 0.2.15, SFTPGo before 2.5.6, Netgate pfSense Plus through 23.09.1, Netgate pfSense CE through 2.7.2, HPN-SSH through 18.2.0, ProFTPD before 1.3.8b (and before 1.3.9rc2), ORYX CycloneSSH before 2.3.4, NetSarang XShell 7 before Build 0144, CrushFTP before 10.6.0, ConnectBot SSH library before 2.2.22, Apache MINA sshd through 2.11.0, sshj through 0.37.0, TinySSH through 20230101, trilead-ssh2 6401, LANCOM LCOS and LANconfig, FileZilla before 3.66.4, Nova before 11.8, PKIX-SSH before 14.4, SecureCRT before 9.4.3, Transmit5 before 5.10.4, Win32-OpenSSH before 9.5.0.0p1-Beta, WinSCP before 6.2.2, Bitvise SSH Server before 9.32, Bitvise SSH Client before 9.33, KiTTY through 0.76.1.13, the net-ssh gem 7.2.0 for Ruby, the mscdex ssh2 module before 1.15.0 for Node.js, the thrussh library before 0.35.1 for Rust, and the Russh crate before 0.40.2 for Rust. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-93834exploit 8.8 high — red hat, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6, red hat enterprise linux 7 A use-after-free vulnerability was found in QEMU's 9pfs subsystem. A race condition between the main thread and a worker thread when processing concurrent Tlcreate and Twalk requests allows a malicious guest user to craft a fid path containing stale heap data, bypassing directory traversal restrictions and escaping the shared directory boundary. This can lead to arbitrary host file read/write and code execution (VM escape) as the QEMU process user. 11 h ago
CVE-2026-93011 5.3 medium 1.0% red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. After a reduction of internal domain-name buffer sizes, the DNSSEC validator can write a few bytes past a name buffer when converting names to and from DNS wire format. An attacker who can cause the server to validate a crafted DNSSEC response may overwrite a small amount of adjacent heap metadata. DNSSEC support is not compiled in by default and must also be enabled at runtime. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2013-0261 8.8 high 0.00% red hat, openstack folsom for rhel 6, red hat enterprise linux openstack platform 5 (icehouse), red hat openstack platform 4 A flaw was found in PackStack. A local user could exploit a symlink attack on a temporary file with a predictable name in the `/tmp` directory. This vulnerability allows the local user to overwrite arbitrary files on the system, potentially leading to system compromise or data corruption. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-81627 8.2 high 0.00% red hat, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6, red hat enterprise linux 7 A flaw was found in QEMU. The VAPIC setup hypercall in hw/i386/vapic.c does not validate that the writable RAM alias remains within the option ROM window. A privileged guest user on a Q35/KVM machine can position this alias over locked SMRAM, bypassing chipset D_LCK protection and injecting code into System Management Mode memory. 23 h ago
CVE-2026-93006 6.8 medium 0.00% red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. The TFTP server can serve the wrong file contents because a recently used transfer cache is not invalidated when a transfer finishes. An attacker on the local network who can request a TFTP file may cause a later client to receive previously cached data instead of the requested file. In PXE network-boot environments this can substitute attacker-chosen boot content for a victim machine. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-93008 6.8 medium 0.00% red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. When following a CNAME in a DNS response, the resolver can cache records for the CNAME target without checking that those records belong to the responding server's authorized zone. In split-DNS deployments that send some domains to a specific upstream, an attacker who controls that upstream can inject cache entries for unrelated names. Later clients may then receive attacker-chosen addresses for those names. Thu 29 Oct
CVE-2013-1815 6.1 medium 0.00% red hat, openstack folsom for rhel 6, red hat enterprise linux openstack platform 5 (icehouse), red hat openstack platform 4 A flaw was found in PackStack. This vulnerability allows a local user to modify deployed systems by changing the answer file, which is created in insecure directories such as /tmp or the current working directory. This insecure file creation could lead to unauthorized system modifications. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2013-0266 5.5 medium 0.00% red hat, openstack folsom for rhel 6, red hat enterprise linux openstack platform 5 (icehouse), red hat openstack platform 4 A flaw was found in the `puppetlabs-cinder` module, as used in PackStack. This vulnerability is due to incorrect file permissions, specifically world-readable permissions, on the `cinder.conf` and `api-paste.ini` configuration files. A local user can exploit this by reading these files, which leads to the disclosure of OpenStack administrative passwords. This information disclosure could allow unauthorized access to sensitive OpenStack resources. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-93007 5.3 medium 0.00% red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. The TCP DNS service uses a small fixed pool of child processes and does not set a receive timeout on client connections. A remote attacker can open idle TCP connections to port 53 and occupy the entire pool, preventing new TCP DNS connections and DNSSEC validation that requires TCP fallback. UDP DNS resolution continues, and occupied slots are released after a fixed lifetime. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-93010 4.3 medium 0.00% red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. When DHCP leasequery is enabled without listing allowed source addresses, the server does not check who sent the query. A host on the local network can request DHCP lease records and learn assigned addresses, MAC addresses, hostnames, and related lease metadata. The feature is off unless an administrator turns it on. Fri 30 Oct
CVE-2026-93009 4.3 medium 0.00% red hat, red hat ceph storage 9, red hat enterprise linux 10, red hat enterprise linux 6 A flaw was found in dnsmasq. The DHCPv6 client hostname parser can read one byte past the end of a crafted FQDN option because it checks the next label length before confirming the pointer is still inside the option. An attacker on the local network can trigger this with a single DHCPv6 packet. The extra byte is not returned to the client or logged, and no crash has been demonstrated. Fri 30 Oct
