CVE-2026-64561exploit ×8 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Check for invalid/obsolete root *after* making MMU pages available Check for a "stale" page fault, i.e. for an invalid and/or obsolete root, after making MMU pages available for the shadow MMU. If reclaiming shadow pages zaps an in-use root, i.e. marks it invalid, then KVM will attempt to map memory into an invalid root. On its own, populating an invalid root is "fine", but because child shadow pages inherit their parent's role, any children created during the map/fetch will be created as invalid pages, thus violating KVM's invariant that invalid pages are never on the list of active MMU pages. Note, the underlying flaw has existed since KVM first started tracking invalid roots in 2008 (commit 2e53d63acba7, "KVM: MMU: ignore zapped root pagetables"), but the true badness only came along in 2020 (Linux 5.9) with the invariant that invalid shadow pages can't be on the list of active pages. Note #2, inheriting role.invalid when creating child shadow pages is also far from ideal; that flaw will be addressed separately. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-74034exploit 8.7 high 0.00% no CPE yet Wazuh from 4.1.0 before 4.14.8 contains a missing origin check in wm_agent_upgrade that allows enrolled agents to issue upgrade_custom commands with attacker-controlled file_path. Attackers can inject an upgrade_custom message over the agent channel to read arbitrary files as root, exfiltrating /etc/shadow and client.keys. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2024-56433exploit 3.6 low 0.00% no CPE yet shadow-utils (aka shadow) 4.4 through 4.17.0 establishes a default /etc/subuid behavior (e.g., uid 100000 through 165535 for the first user account) that can realistically conflict with the uids of users defined on locally administered networks, potentially leading to account takeover, e.g., by leveraging newuidmap for access to an NFS home directory (or same-host resources in the case of remote logins by these local network users). NOTE: it may also be argued that system administrators should not have assigned uids, within local networks, that are within the range that can occur in /etc/subuid. 15 Oct
CVE-2025-66262 9.3 critical 2.0% dbbroadcast, mozart_next_100_firmware, mozart_next_1000_firmware, mozart_next_2000_firmware Arbitrary File Overwrite via Tar Extraction Path Traversal in DB Electronica Telecomunicazioni S.p.A. Mozart FM Transmitter versions 30, 50, 100, 300, 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 3500, 6000, 7000 allows an attacker to perform Tar extraction with -C / allow arbitrary file overwrite via crafted archive. The `restore_mozzi_memories.sh` script extracts user-controlled tar archives with `-C /` flag, depositing contents to the filesystem root without path validation. When combined with the unauthenticated file upload vulnerabilities (CVE-01, CVE-06, CVE-07), attackers can craft malicious .tgz archives containing path-traversed filenames (e.g., `etc/shadow`, `var/www/index.php`) to overwrite critical system files in writable directories, achieving full system compromise. 18 Oct
CVE-2026-26217 9.2 critical 2.0% kidocode, crawl4ai Crawl4AI versions prior to 0.8.0 contain a local file inclusion vulnerability in the Docker API deployment. The /execute_js, /screenshot, /pdf, and /html endpoints accept file:// URLs, allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem. An attacker can access sensitive files such as /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, application configuration files, and environment variables via /proc/self/environ, potentially exposing credentials, API keys, and internal application structure. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-70558 9.3 critical 1.0% no CPE yet Dinky's POST /download/uploadFromRsByLocal handler passes the caller-supplied path parameter directly to new File(path) and file.transferTo(dest) with no path validation. The route is marked @SaIgnore and /download/** is excluded from the Sa-Token interceptor, so the only guard is a header equality check against a dinkyToken value whose default (efda1551-7958-4e0f-80a8-dfd107df3e38) is hardcoded in source and shipped to every deployment. Anyone who can reach Dinky's HTTP port (8888 by default) and supplies the hardcoded token can write arbitrary files as the Dinky service account. The default Docker image runs on 8888 with no proxy or authentication and chmod 777 on /opt/dinky, so the application's own classpath, launch scripts, and static assets are writable. Demonstrated impact: overwriting /opt/dinky/config/static/index.html served attacker JavaScript to admin browsers immediately, and writing /opt/dinky/org/dinky/Dinky.class executed attacker code as the Dinky service account at the next JVM start via a classpath-shadow launched by script/bin/auto.sh. Writes are uid 9999 (flink), not root, so /etc, /root, /home, and /usr are refused. Affects Dinky v1.2.5 (the current release) and the development branch, where the code is byte-identical. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-89779 9.1 critical 1.0% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: validate ef->size covers the record's name and value When an EA record has a non-zero ef->size, ntfs_read_ea() only checks that the record fits in the remaining buffer (ea_size > bytes), not that ef->size is large enough to hold the record's own name_len + 1 + elength. A crafted image can pass validation with, e.g., ef->size = 24 but elength = 0xffff. ntfs_get_ea() then trusts elength and copies it out of the undersized record, reading past the kmalloc(info->size) allocation and leaking heap memory to userspace via getxattr(): BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in ntfs_get_ea (fs/ntfs3/xattr.c:302) Read of size 65535 at addr ffff888100794550 by task exploit __asan_memcpy (mm/kasan/shadow.c:105) ntfs_get_ea (fs/ntfs3/xattr.c:302) ntfs_getxattr (fs/ntfs3/xattr.c:848) __vfs_getxattr (fs/xattr.c:441) vfs_getxattr (fs/xattr.c:474) do_getxattr (fs/xattr.c:800) path_getxattrat (fs/xattr.c:868) do_syscall_64 (arch/x86/entry/syscall_64.c:94) The buggy address is located 80 bytes inside of allocated 84-byte region in cache kmalloc-96 Compute the size the record needs and require ef->size to cover it. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-112350 8.7 high 1.0% no CPE yet Sunhillo SureLine before 9.1.5 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the radarUpdater.cgi endpoint that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to read arbitrary files with root privileges due to missing authentication checks and insufficient sanitization of the filename parameter. Attackers can use directory traversal sequences to access sensitive files such as /etc/shadow, the web user database, the root SSH private key, and the device's TLS private key, leading to full system compromise. CVE-2020-13631 5.5 medium 1.0% sqlite, fedoraproject, fedora, ubuntu_linux SQLite before 3.32.0 allows a virtual table to be renamed to the name of one of its shadow tables, related to alter.c and build.c. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-99082 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Use active memslots for the per-vCPU MMIO cache KVM tags the per-vCPU MMIO cache with a memslot generation so that a memslot update invalidates cached MMIO information. Both the fill and validation paths use kvm_memslots(), which unconditionally selects address space 0, even when the vCPU is running in SMM and using address space 1. Commit 56f17dd3fbc4 ("kvm: x86: fix stale mmio cache bug") added the memslot generation to the cache key so that a memslot update could not leave a stale entry valid. When commit 699023e23965 ("KVM: x86: add SMM to the MMU role, support SMRAM address space") added the SMM address space, these helpers were not converted to use the active memslots. Consequently, an update to the SMM memslots can leave an entry from the old SMM address space apparently valid after the vCPU returns to the normal address space. A guest can then cause an access to valid RAM at the same GFN to be returned to userspace as KVM_EXIT_MMIO. Completing that exit through the VMM's RAM address space writes the backing page without going through KVM's write-tracking path. If the page backs a nested EPT table, KVM can continue using shadow translations derived from the old contents. The WARN_ON_ONCE() in kvm_mmu_write_protect_fault() catches this invalid cache and memslot combination. Use the vCPU's active memslots when caching and validating the entry. Memslot generations are unique across address spaces, so the generation also distinguishes the normal and SMM views. This matches the MMIO SPTE cache, which already uses kvm_vcpu_memslots(). On an unpatched current-mainline kernel, a regression test that fills the cache in SMM and updates only the SMM memslots fails the intended RAM write and triggers the kvm_mmu_write_protect_fault() warning. With this change, the same test completes the RAM write without a warning. The x86/smm_test, set_memory_region_test, and memslot_modification_stress_test selftests also pass. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-64562 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: nVMX: Hide shadow VMCS right after VMCLEAR free_nested() frees the shadow VMCS while vmcs01 still points to it. But because it is asynchronous with respect to loaded_vmcs_clear(), the vCPU might migrate before the pointer is cleared and __loaded_vmcs_clear() may then execute VMCLEAR. The VMCS needs to stay attached until its explicit VMCLEAR completes, but then it can be hidden and the page safely freed. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-63807 8.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86/mmu: Ensure hugepage is in by slot before checking max mapping level When recovering hugepages in the shadow MMU, verify that the base gfn of the shadow page is actually contained within the target memslot, *before* querying the max mapping level given the shadow page's gfn. Failure to pre-check the validity of the gfn can lead to an out-of-bounds access to the slot's lpage_info (which typically manifests as a host #PF because the lpage_info is vmalloc'd) if the guest creates a hugepage mapping (in its PTEs) that extends "below" the bounds of a memslot. When faulting in memory for a guest, and the size of the guest mapping is greater than KVM's (current) max mapping, then KVM will create a "direct" shadow page (direct in that there are no gPTEs to shadow, and so the target gfn is a direct calculation given the base gfn of the shadow page). The hugepage recovery flow looks for such direct shadow pages, as forcing 4KiB mappings when dirty logging generates the guest > host mapping size case. When the 4KiB restriction is lifted, then KVM can replace the shadow page with a hugepage. But if KVM originally used a smaller mapping than the guest because the range of memory covered by the guest hugepage exceeds the bounds of a memslot, then KVM will link a direct shadow page with a gfn that is outside the bounds of the memslot being used to fault in memory. The rmap entry added for the leaf mapping is correct and within bounds, but the gfn of the leaf SPTE's parent shadow page will be out of bounds. I.e. pre-checking the full range would be a dubious micro-optimization. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-46113 8.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Fix shadow paging use-after-free due to unexpected GFN The shadow MMU computes GFNs for direct shadow pages using sp->gfn plus the SPTE index. This assumption breaks for shadow paging if the guest page tables are modified between VM entries (similar to commit aad885e77496, "KVM: x86/mmu: Drop/zap existing present SPTE even when creating an MMIO SPTE", 2026-03-27). The flow is as follows: - a PDE is installed for a 2MB mapping, and a page in that area is accessed. KVM creates a kvm_mmu_page consisting of 512 4KB pages; the kvm_mmu_page is marked by FNAME(fetch) as direct-mapped because the guest's mapping is a huge page (and thus contiguous). - the PDE mapping is changed from outside the guest. - the guest accesses another page in the same 2MB area. KVM installs a new leaf SPTE and rmap entry; the SPTE uses the "correct" GFN (i.e. based on the new mapping, as changed in the previous step) but that GFN is outside of the [sp->gfn, sp->gfn + 511] range; therefore the rmap entry cannot be found and removed when the kvm_mmu_page is zapped. - the memslot that covers the first 2MB mapping is deleted, and the kvm_mmu_page for the now-invalid GPA is zapped. However, rmap_remove() only looks at the [sp->gfn, sp->gfn + 511] range established in step 1, and fails to find the rmap entry that was recorded by step 3. - any operation that causes an rmap walk for the same page accessed by step 3 then walks a stale rmap and dereferences a freed kvm_mmu_page. This includes dirty logging or MMU notifier invalidations (e.g., from MADV_DONTNEED). The underlying issue is that KVM's walking of shadow PTEs assumes that if a SPTE is present when KVM wants to install a non-leaf SPTE, then the existing kvm_mmu_page must be for the correct gfn. Because the only way for the gfn to be wrong is if KVM messed up and failed to zap a SPTE... which shouldn't happen, but *actually* only happens in response to a guest write. That bug dates back literally forever, as even the first version of KVM assumes that the GFN matches and walks into the "wrong" shadow page. However, that was only an imprecision until 2032a93d66fa ("KVM: MMU: Don't allocate gfns page for direct mmu pages") came along. Fix it by checking for a target gfn mismatch and zapping the existing SPTE. That way the old SP and rmap entries are gone, KVM installs the rmap in the right location, and everyone is happy. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-98283 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: PPC: Book3S HV: fix use-after-free in kvmhv_emulate_tlbie_all_lpid() kvmhv_emulate_tlbie_all_lpid() iterates the nested-guest IDR and drops mmu_lock before calling kvmhv_emulate_tlbie_lpid(), but does not hold a reference on the kvm_nested_guest pointer obtained from the IDR. A concurrent vCPU issuing a single-LPID tlbie (is=2, ric=2) can race through kvmhv_flush_nested() -> kvmhv_remove_nested() -> idr_remove / --refcnt -> kvmhv_release_nested() -> kfree(gp) in that window, leaving the iterating vCPU with a dangling pointer. The subsequent mutex_lock(&gp->tlb_lock) and accesses to gp->shadow_pgtable, gp->shadow_lpid and gp->l1_host all touch freed memory. The free path is fully L1-controlled. Fix this by incrementing gp->refcnt inside the loop before dropping mmu_lock, mirroring what kvmhv_get_nested() does, and releasing the reference with kvmhv_put_nested() after the per-guest work completes. This is the same get/put discipline already used at every other call site that drops mmu_lock while holding a nested-guest pointer. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-89957 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio-ap: Fix hot-unplug skipped when last AP adapter or domain removed The vfio_ap_mdev_hot_unplug_cfg() function uses the return value of bitmap_andnot() to determine whether the guest APCB needs to be updated. However, bitmap_andnot() returns false when the resulting destination bitmap is empty. This means that if the only adapter, domain or control domain assigned to an mdev is removed from the host's AP configuration, the bit is correctly cleared from the shadow APCB, but bitmap_andnot() returns false because the result is an empty bitmap. Consequently, do_hotplug remains 0 and vfio_ap_mdev_update_guest_apcb() is never called, leaving the KVM guest with stale hardware access to the unplugged AP devices. Fix this by replacing the bitmap_andnot() return value check with bitmap_intersects() to determine whether the shadow APCB actually overlaps with the removal mask. If there is an intersection, call bitmap_andnot() solely for its side effect of clearing the bits, then unconditionally set do_hotplug to trigger the guest APCB update. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-114106 8.7 high 0.00% no CPE yet HKUDS Vibe-Trading from 0.1.0 before 0.1.7 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows remote attackers to read sensitive server files through LLM agent file-read tools. Attackers can prompt the agent to invoke read_document, which lacks sandbox checks, or safe_user_path-gated tools to leak /etc/shadow, /proc/self/environ API keys, and /root credentials. Wed 28 Oct
CVE-2026-105937 8.7 high 0.00% no CPE yet Apache Pulsar shadow topics (PIP-180) are topics that read the stored messages of a source topic from that topic's managed ledger. The source topic is selected by setting the reserved topic property PULSAR.SHADOW_SOURCE. The admin REST API accepts this property when creating a non-partitioned or partitioned topic and when updating the properties of an existing topic. On these paths the broker authorizes the caller only against the topic being created or updated. It does not authorize the caller against the source topic named in the property. The existing authorization for shadow topic configuration (the SHADOW_TOPIC topic policy on the source topic) is applied only to the source-side shadow topics admin API, not to these paths. As a result, an authenticated user who is allowed to create topics or update topic properties in one tenant can bind a topic in that tenant to a persistent topic in any other tenant. With the default authorization provider, these operations require the tenant admin role for the user's own tenant. The user does not need any permission on the source topic, its namespace or its tenant. This impact analysis assumes that Pulsar has been configured with the default authorization provider. For custom authorization providers, the impact could be different. The user can then consume from the shadow topic, using only permissions on their own topic, and receive retained messages that were published to the source topic in the other tenant. Exposure is limited to messages that are still retained and readable in the source topic's ledgers; messages protected with client-side end-to-end encryption cannot be decrypted without the encryption keys. A producer on the shadow topic can also register a new schema version under the source topic's schema, subject to the schema compatibility settings; existing schema versions are not replaced. In addition, the shadow topic's managed ledger applies its own retention, trimming, offloading and deletion to the source topic's ledgers. This can permanently delete the source topic's ledger data from BookKeeper and from tiered storage, regardless of the source topic's own subscriptions and retention policy, including messages that have not yet been acknowledged. Deleting the shadow topic can also delete the source topic's ledgers. This data loss can also affect shadow topics that were configured intentionally by administrators. This issue affects Apache Pulsar versions from 3.0.0 before 4.0.14 and from 4.1.0 before 4.2.5. Apache Pulsar 2.x releases do not contain the shadow topic implementation. - 4.0.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.0.14. - 4.1.x and 4.2.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.2.5. Users operating versions prior to those listed above should upgrade to the aforementioned patched versions or newer versions. The currently supported Apache Pulsar release lines are 4.0.x and 5.0.x. The supported versions schedule is available at https://pulsar.apache.org/contribute/release-policy/. In the fixed versions, shadow topics are disabled by default and are controlled by the new broker configuration setting enableShadowTopics (default false). While it is disabled, the broker rejects creating shadow topics, setting the PULSAR.SHADOW_SOURCE property, and loading or replicating to existing shadow topics. Deployments that use shadow topics must set enableShadowTopics=true in the broker configuration of all brokers after upgrading; otherwise existing shadow topics will not be loaded. When shadow topics are enabled, binding a shadow topic to a source topic in a different tenant requires the superuser role. The fixed versions also prevent a shadow topic from deleting or trimming the ledgers and offloaded data of its source topic. Affected versions provide no configuration option to disable shadow topics. Users who cannot upgrade immediately can reduce exposure by granting the tenant admin role only to trusted principals. 23 Oct

CVE-2026-64540 8.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usbnet: gl620a: fix out-of-bounds read in genelink_rx_fixup() genelink_rx_fixup() splits an aggregated RX frame into its individual packets, using a per-packet length taken from device-supplied data. That length is only bounded by GL_MAX_PACKET_LEN (1514); it is never compared against how many bytes were actually received. A malicious GeneLink (GL620A) device can therefore send a short URB whose header claims packet_count > 1 and a first packet of up to 1514 bytes. skb_put_data(gl_skb, packet->packet_data, size); then copies past the end of the receive buffer and hands the adjacent slab contents up the network stack, an out-of-bounds read that leaks kernel heap. CVE-2026-54552 7.9 high 0.00% no CPE yet sh provides Python process launching. Prior to 2.2.4, the _uid option in sh.py performs an incomplete privilege drop on Linux and Unix-like systems. When sh runs from an elevated process and launches a command with _uid set to an unprivileged user, the child changes its UID but can retain the parent process's supplementary groups because the privilege-drop sequence does not fully establish the target user's UID, primary GID, and supplementary groups. The child can therefore retain access to files or resources granted to privileged groups such as root, docker, disk, shadow, or sudo, violating the expected _uid privilege boundary. This issue is fixed in version 2.2.4. 22 Oct
CVE-2023-52761 7.8 high — linux In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv: VMAP_STACK overflow detection thread-safe commit 31da94c25aea ("riscv: add VMAP_STACK overflow detection") added support for CONFIG_VMAP_STACK. If overflow is detected, CPU switches to `shadow_stack` temporarily before switching finally to per-cpu `overflow_stack`. If two CPUs/harts are racing and end up in over flowing kernel stack, one or both will end up corrupting each other state because `shadow_stack` is not per-cpu. This patch optimizes per-cpu overflow stack switch by directly picking per-cpu `overflow_stack` and gets rid of `shadow_stack`. Following are the changes in this patch - Defines an asm macro to obtain per-cpu symbols in destination register. - In entry.S, when overflow is detected, per-cpu overflow stack is located using per-cpu asm macro. Computing per-cpu symbol requires a temporary register. x31 is saved away into CSR_SCRATCH (CSR_SCRATCH is anyways zero since we're in kernel). CVE-2026-99018 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv: entry: gate shadow call stack reload on sstatus.SPP, not tp Under CONFIG_SHADOW_CALL_STACK, handle_exception() reloads the kernel shadow call stack pointer (gp) only when the trap came from userspace. It made that decision with scs_load_current_if_task_changed, which compares the trap-time tp (read back from sscratch into s5) against the current tp: beq \prev, tp, _skip_scs scs_load_current _skip_scs: tp is a user-writable register. A user task that sets tp to the linear-map address of its own task_struct (&current) before trapping makes the comparison succeed (can achieve by brute force with KASLR enable under our test), so the kernel skips scs_load_current and keeps running with the gp that userspace left in place. Under CONFIG_SHADOW_CALL_STACK gp is the shadow call stack pointer and load_global_pointer is a no-op, so the compiler-emitted "sd ra, -8(gp)" / "ld ra, -8(gp)" in every non-leaf function then write to, and return through, an attacker-controlled address -- an unprivileged kernel arbitrary-write and control-flow-hijack primitive. The poisoned gp is saved to task_struct.scs_sp on return, so the reload is skipped on every subsequent entry as well. Decide "came from userspace" from the hardware sstatus.SPP bit (already in s1 at this point) instead of from tp, mirroring the check that ret_from_exception already uses a few instructions later. SPP is written by hardware on trap entry and cannot be forged from U-mode. Legitimate behaviour is unchanged: user entries (SPP=0) reload the task shadow call stack, nested kernel entries (SPP=1) skip it. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-12234 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet The userspace syscall verifiers z_vrfy_zsock_sendmsg() and z_vrfy_zsock_recvmsg() in subsys/net/lib/sockets/sockets.c snapshot the caller-supplied struct net_msghdr into a kernel-side copy with k_usermode_from_copy(), but then re-read the still-live user struct for subsequent decisions. The kernel iovec shadow buffer is sized from one read of msg->msg_iovlen, while the population loop is bounded by a second, live read of the same field. Because msg points into ordinary user memory, a cooperating second thread in the same memory domain can inflate msg->msg_iovlen in the window between the sizing read and the loop test (a classic double-fetch / TOCTOU). The population loop then iterates past the number of net_iovec slots actually allocated, writing attacker-influenced iov_base/iov_len values beyond the end of the kernel-heap shadow buffer. The recvmsg verifier has the same defect on both its inbound and result write-back loops. The code is reachable from an unprivileged user thread whenever CONFIG_USERSPACE is enabled and the zsock_sendmsg/zsock_recvmsg syscalls are available. A successful race corrupts kernel-managed heap memory across the user-to-kernel privilege boundary, yielding a local privilege-escalation primitive or, at minimum, a kernel-fault denial of service. The fix copies the header once and derives every size, bound, and gate from the snapshot, copying each iovec entry atomically so its base and length can no longer be raced apart. 23 Oct
CVE-2026-64539 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: eir: Fix stack OOB write when prepending the Flags AD eir_create_adv_data() builds the advertising data into a fixed-size buffer ("size", 31 for the legacy path). It may prepend a 3-byte "Flags" AD structure (LE_AD_NO_BREDR on an LE-only controller) and then copies the per-instance data without checking that it still fits: memcpy(ptr, adv->adv_data, adv->adv_data_len); tlv_data_max_len() only reserves those 3 bytes when the user-supplied flags carry a managed-flags bit, so an instance added with flags == 0 is accepted with adv_data_len up to the full buffer. At advertise time the flags are still prepended, and the memcpy() writes 3 + adv_data_len bytes into the size-byte buffer: BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in eir_create_adv_data (net/bluetooth/eir.c:301) Write of size 31 at addr ffff88800a547bdc by task kworker/u9:0/65 Workqueue: hci0 hci_cmd_sync_work __asan_memcpy (mm/kasan/shadow.c:106) eir_create_adv_data (net/bluetooth/eir.c:301) hci_update_adv_data_sync (net/bluetooth/hci_sync.c:1310) hci_schedule_adv_instance_sync (net/bluetooth/hci_sync.c:1817) hci_cmd_sync_work (net/bluetooth/hci_sync.c:332) This frame has 1 object: [32, 64) 'cp' The "Flags" structure is added by the kernel, not requested by userspace, so only prepend it when it fits together with the instance advertising data; when there is no room for both, drop the flags rather than the user-provided data. Create a 2 MiB metadata device and make the region after the 14th block inaccessible, to trigger metadata commit failure in the subsequent reserve_metadata_snap operation. The 14th block will be the shadow destination for the index block. dmsetup create tmeta --table "0 112 linear /dev/sdc 0 112 3984 error" 2. Reserve then release the metadata snapshot, to trigger metadata commit failure and transaction abort. The held_root gets removed from the on-disk superblock, causing inconsistent metadata. dmsetup message tpool 0 "reserve_metadata_snap" dmsetup message tpool 0 "release_metadata_snap" thin_check v1.2.2 result: Bad reference count for metadata block 6. Fix by deferring the held_root update to commit time. Additionally, move the existing-snapshot check in __reserve_metadata_snap before the shadow operation to avoid unnecessary work. In __release_metadata_snap, clear pmd->held_root before btree deletion so partial failure leaks blocks rather than leaving a stale reference, and unlock the snapshot block before decrementing its refcount. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-89573 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm array: reject an array block whose value size is not the caller's array_block_check() can only compare the header against itself, so a block with value_size 4 and max_entries 1018 is internally consistent and passes. dm-cache keeps two arrays -- mappings at 8 bytes and hints at 4 -- and the roots for both live in the superblock. Point the mappings root at a hint block and __load_mappings() walks it through an info whose value size is 8, so element_at() strides 8 bytes over 4-byte entries and reaches offset 8160 of a 4096-byte block. get_ablock() and __shadow_ablock() are the two places that hold the block and the caller at once. Reject there when the two value sizes disagree. Arrays only ever read their own blocks, so this fires on crafted metadata only. 19 Oct

CVE-2026-62663 7.5 high 0.00% no CPE yet Banks generates meaningful LLM prompts using a simple template language. In versions prior to 2.4.4, all four media filters (image, audio, video, document) in banks accept untrusted user input as file paths via Path(value) and pass them directly to open(file_path, "rb") without any path sanitization, canonicalization, or directory restriction. An attacker who controls template variables passed to a banks Prompt can use path traversal (../) to read arbitrary files accessible to the Python process—including .env files, SSH keys, cloud credentials, source code, /etc/passwd, and /etc/shadow—with the content returned base64-encoded in the rendered prompt output, making exfiltration trivial. This is particularly dangerous for applications that use banks to process user-provided template variables before sending prompts to an LLM. This issue has been fixed in version 2.4.4. 23 Oct

CVE-2026-112178 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet MISP contains an access control flaw in the proposal (shadow attribute) visibility logic. The authorization check accepted any attribute or object carrying one of the user's sharing groups without verifying the distribution level, and denied the owning organisation access to proposals on its own organisation-only attributes. - A user belonging to a sharing group could view proposals on attributes or objects with that sharing group, regardless of the attribute's distribution level (levels 1-3 should restrict visibility) - The owning organisation could not view proposals on its own org-only attributes Security impact: Unauthorized disclosure of proposed attribute changes to users who should not have access based on distribution level restrictions. CVE-2026-109246 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet FreeRDP before 3.32.0 contains a divide-by-zero vulnerability in the freerdp-shadow-cli shadow server: the frame id in a client's Frame Acknowledge PDU is stored without a range check, so the in-flight frame count in shadow_encoder_inflight_frames() can underflow. An authenticated client can acknowledge a frame id one greater than the last frame sent, causing shadow_encoder_create_frame_id() to divide by zero (SIGFPE) and terminate the process, disconnecting all viewers. 18 Oct

CVE-2026-98927 7.0 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: nv: Fix life cycle of the nested_mmus array The nested_mmus array holds the shadow page tables that are used when a guest is running a nested context. These structures are allocated on VCPU_INIT for whole guest, which implies that they may have to be relocated as the array grows. Should a VCPU_INIT occur whilst a vcpu is actively running an L2 and that the allocation requires relocation, that vcpu will still be running with a pointer to the previous structure, which will have been freed. Fix this by turning the array of structures to an array of pointers, which is now allocated at VM creation, sized to the absolute maximum that KVM can handle. In turn, each VCPU_INIT contributes S2_MMU_PER_VCPU to the pool. No reallocation is ever performed, and the life cycle of each object is much clearer: - the nested_mmus array is allocated in kvm_init_nested(), and freed in kvm_arch_destroy_vm() - s2_mmu structures are allocated in kvm_vcpu_init_nested(), and freed on kvm_arch_flush_shadow_all() Finally, the freeing of vcpu->arch.vncr_array is made consistent rather than being done on some failure paths, but not others. CVE-2026-98440 7.0 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: nv: Delay freeing of shadow S2 structures until VM destruction We free the shadow S2 structures from kvm_arch_flush_shadow_all(), which is a Bad Idea(tm). Freeing the page tables is fair game (this is what this callback is for), but freeing the container that could still be referenced by another part of the system is not great. Instead, grow separate destructors that gets called when we tear the VM down for good. From there, we can nuke both the individual MMUs as well as the global array that points to them, safe in the knowledge that the vcpus themselves have been destroyed already. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-47833 6.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet setupBpmLogs follows symlink for bpm.log open and chown — container-to-host privilege escalation via /etc/shadow. A compromised process inside a bpm container can cause root to chown an arbitrary host file to vcap and append bpm JSON log lines to it. The chown alone lets the attacker take ownership of /etc/shadow and read every password hash on the host via the read-only /etc bind mount. This is a container-to-host confidentiality break affecting every bpm-managed job. Affected versions: bpm-release, all versions prior to v1.4.30. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-115378 6.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Incus before 6.0.7, 6.1.0 before 7.0.2, and 7.1.0 before 7.5.0 contains an arbitrary file write vulnerability in sftpRecursivePullFile that allows a malicious incus-agent to escape the target directory during incus file pull -r. Attackers with root in a virtual machine can return duplicate entries reported first as symlinks then as files or directories, writing attacker-controlled files such as /etc/shadow on the operator's host. 23 Oct

CVE-2026-119378 6.8 medium — sqlite SQLite before 3.54.0 contains a use-after-free vulnerability in the R-Tree extension that allows attackers to make applications use freed heap memory by manipulating the %_node shadow table. Attackers can supply a database declaring %_node WITHOUT ROWID or with a RAISE(IGNORE) trigger so nodeWrite() hashes nodes as 0, crashing the process after node splits. 8 h ago
CVE-2026-31978 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet motionEye (mEye) is an online interface for motion software, which is a video surveillance program with motion detection. Versions prior to 0.44.0 are vulnerable to path traversal in the picture and movie API endpoints, suhc as /picture/{id}/preview/{filename}. Neither the API handlers, nor the mediafiles.py functions such as get_media_preview() check for .. sequences in the filename parameter, except for get_media_content(). This allows an authenticated user with normal (non-admin) privileges to read arbitrary files from the filesystem as the motionEye process user, such as: /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, motionEye config files containing password hashes and plaintext passwords, SSH keys, and other cameras' surveillance footage. This issue has been fixed in version 0.44.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-49978 6.3 medium 0.00% cure53, dompurify DOMPurify is a DOM-only cross-site scripting sanitizer for HTML, MathML, and SVG. Prior to 3.4.7, DOMPurify IN_PLACE sanitization could skip shadow contents attached to an element inside <template>.content, allowing attacker-controlled markup such as event handlers, JavaScript URLs, or scripts to survive and execute when an application cloned and inserted the sanitized template. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.7. Sat 24 Oct
