CVE-2021-3572exploit 5.7 medium 2.0% pypa, oracle, pip, agile_product_lifecycle_management, communications_cloud_native_core_network_function_cloud_native_environment A flaw was found in python-pip in the way it handled Unicode separators in git references. A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to install a different revision on a repository. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data integrity. This is fixed in python-pip version 21.1. 8 Oct
CVE-2025-12758exploit 7.7 high 1.0% validator_project, validator Versions of the package validator before 13.15.22 are vulnerable to Incomplete Filtering of One or More Instances of Special Elements in the isLength() function that does not take into account Unicode variation selectors (\uFE0F, \uFE0E) appearing in a sequence which lead to improper string length calculation. This can lead to an application using isLength for input validation accepting strings significantly longer than intended, resulting in issues like data truncation in databases, buffer overflows in other system components, or denial-of-service. 19 Oct
CVE-2025-5222exploit 7.0 high 0.00% unicode, international_components_for_unicode A stack buffer overflow was found in Internationl components for unicode (ICU ). While running the genrb binary, the 'subtag' struct overflowed at the SRBRoot::addTag function. This issue may lead to memory corruption and local arbitrary code execution. 21 Oct
CVE-2019-9636 9.8 critical 8.0% python, fedoraproject, fedora, leap Python 2.7.x through 2.7.16 and 3.x through 3.7.2 is affected by: Improper Handling of Unicode Encoding (with an incorrect netloc) during NFKC normalization. The impact is: Information disclosure (credentials, cookies, etc. that are cached against a given hostname). The components are: urllib.parse.urlsplit, urllib.parse.urlparse. The attack vector is: A specially crafted URL could be incorrectly parsed to locate cookies or authentication data and send that information to a different host than when parsed correctly. This is fixed in: v2.7.17, v2.7.17rc1, v2.7.18, v2.7.18rc1; v3.5.10, v3.5.10rc1, v3.5.7, v3.5.8, v3.5.8rc1, v3.5.8rc2, v3.5.9; v3.6.10, v3.6.10rc1, v3.6.11, v3.6.11rc1, v3.6.12, v3.6.9, v3.6.9rc1; v3.7.3, v3.7.3rc1, v3.7.4, v3.7.4rc1, v3.7.4rc2, v3.7.5, v3.7.5rc1, v3.7.6, v3.7.6rc1, v3.7.7, v3.7.7rc1, v3.7.8, v3.7.8rc1, v3.7.9. 14 Oct
CVE-2018-12116 7.5 high 5.0% nodejs, suse, node.js, suse_enterprise_storage, suse_linux_enterprise_server Node.js: All versions prior to Node.js 6.15.0 and 8.14.0: HTTP request splitting: If Node.js can be convinced to use unsanitized user-provided Unicode data for the `path` option of an HTTP request, then data can be provided which will trigger a second, unexpected, and user-defined HTTP request to made to the same server. 8 Oct
CVE-2018-18928 9.8 critical 3.0% icu-project, international_components_for_unicode International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ 63.1 has an integer overflow in number::impl::DecimalQuantity::toScientificString() in i18n/number_decimalquantity.cpp. 14 Oct
CVE-2020-10531 8.8 high 3.0% icu-project, redhat, international_components_for_unicode, enterprise_linux_desktop, enterprise_linux_server An issue was discovered in International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ through 66.1. An integer overflow, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow, exists in the UnicodeString::doAppend() function in common/unistr.cpp. 14 Oct
CVE-2019-12290 7.5 high 3.0% gnu, libidn2 GNU libidn2 before 2.2.0 fails to perform the roundtrip checks specified in RFC3490 Section 4.2 when converting A-labels to U-labels. This makes it possible in some circumstances for one domain to impersonate another. By creating a malicious domain that matches a target domain except for the inclusion of certain punycoded Unicode characters (that would be discarded when converted first to a Unicode label and then back to an ASCII label), arbitrary domains can be impersonated. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-48618 6.5 medium 3.0% nodejs, node.js A flaw in Node.js TLS hostname handling can cause Node.js unicode dot separator handling can lead to tls wildcard-depth authentication bypass due to resolver and verifier hostname normalization mismat. This can lead to confidentiality impact or bypass of the intended security boundary under affected configurations. This vulnerability affects all supported release lines: **Node.js 22**, **Node.js 24**, and **Node.js 26**. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2017-15422 6.5 medium 3.0% google, icu-project, chrome, international_components_for_unicode, debian_linux Integer overflow in international date handling in International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ before 60.1, as used in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 63.0.3239.84 and other products, allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory read via a crafted HTML page. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-70470 9.5 critical 1.0% flowiseai, flowise Flowise is a drag & drop user interface to build a customized large language model flow. Prior to 3.1.3, Flowise validatePythonCodeForDataFrame in packages/components/src/pythonCodeValidator.ts can be bypassed with Unicode homoglyph identifiers, allowing arbitrary Python execution inside Pyodide and full OS command execution on the Flowise host via Pyodide js module interop. The validator gates pyodide.runPythonAsync in packages/components/nodes/agents/CSVAgent/CSVAgent.ts and packages/components/nodes/agents/AirtableAgent/AirtableAgent.ts with an ASCII word-boundary blacklist. JavaScript regex word boundaries are ASCII-only, while Python 3 NFKC-normalizes identifiers at parse time, so homoglyph forms such as __cl𝐚ss__, __subcl𝐚sses__, __b𝐚se__, and __b𝐮iltins__ bypass the blacklist and are parsed as their ASCII equivalents. This issue is fixed in version 3.1.3. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-72318 9.4 critical 1.0% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: validate DFS referral string offsets parse_dfs_referrals() validates that the response header and referral array fit in the received buffer, but each referral also contains string offsets supplied by the server. Those offsets are used to compute the DfsPath and NetworkAddress string pointers without checking whether they still point inside the response buffer. A malformed referral can therefore make the computed pointer exceed the end of the buffer. The resulting negative max_len is then passed to cifs_strndup_from_utf16(), and the non-Unicode path forwards it to kstrndup() as a size_t, allowing strnlen() to read out of bounds. Validate each string offset before deriving the string pointer. 16 Oct
CVE-2025-71316 9.2 critical 1.0% no CPE yet SQLite 'sqldiff.exe' does not securely handle the way the Microsoft Windows C runtime converts Unicode characters to ANSI codepages. An attacker could use the '-L' option to load an arbitrary DLL with a crafted command line argument string that results in command line file arguments being misinterpreted as command line options. Fixed on or around 2025-12-26. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-59860 8.7 high 1.0% no CPE yet Kiota is an OpenAPI based HTTP Client code generator. Prior to 1.29.1 and 1.32.3, Kiota is affected by a code-generation injection vulnerability in the C# XML documentation-comment sink (the description, externalDocs label, and externalDocs link fields emitted as /// … comments). When text from an OpenAPI description is written into single-line XML doc comments without stripping newline and Unicode line-terminator characters, an attacker can break out of the /// comment line and inject additional code into generated C# clients. This issue is fixed in version 1.29.1 and 1.32.3. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-59887 7.5 high 1.0% markdown-it, linkify-it linkify-it is a links recognition library with full Unicode support. Prior to 5.0.2, the mailto: schema validator used by .test() and .match() can be invoked at every mailto: occurrence and scan the remaining input through src_email_name in lib/re.mjs, causing O(n^2) CPU consumption on crafted user text. This issue is fixed in version 5.0.2. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-60074 7.5 high 1.0% no CPE yet Date::Manip versions through 7.00 for Perl return corrupted dates via non-ASCII decimal digits that pass the numeric range tests in check. The parse regexes capture year, month and day with the `\d` shorthand, which on a character string matches the whole Unicode decimal digit property `\p{Nd}` and not just `[0-9]`. Date::Manip::Base::check then validates the captured fields with numeric comparisons alone (`$y<1 || $y>9999`, `$m<1 || $m>12`, `$d<1 || $d>$days`), and _parse_check stores the numified fields (`$y+0`). Perl truncates a string at the first character that is not an ASCII digit, so a field whose leading characters are ASCII digits numifies to an in-range prefix and satisfies every test: a year field of three ASCII digits followed by U+0664 ARABIC-INDIC DIGIT FOUR numifies to 202, giving the year 0202, and one non-ASCII digit in the month or day field shifts those fields the same way. The hour, minute and second fields match explicit ASCII character classes (`0?[0-9]`, `[0-5][0-9]`) and do not shift, though a non-ASCII digit in a fractional hour or minute field truncates the fraction. Any caller that passes an untrusted character string to ParseDate() or Date::Manip::Date->parse() can get back a date that differs from the string it parsed, with no parse error. Where the parsed date gates logic such as an expiry check or a retention window, the shift goes unnoticed. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-19611 7.4 high 1.0% no CPE yet A flaw was found in WildFly Elytron. Password hashing and verification normalize input with Unicode NFKC, which can collapse fullwidth characters to ASCII equivalents. A remote attacker can more easily guess affected passwords by using an ASCII-only dictionary against accounts whose passwords were intended to include those non-ASCII characters, leading to unauthorized access. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-4114 6.6 medium 1.0% sonicwall, sma6210_firmware, sma6200_firmware, sma7200_firmware Improper handling of Unicode encoding in SonicWall SMA1000 series appliances allows a remote authenticated SSLVPN admin to bypass AMC TOTP authentication. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-17084 6.0 medium 1.0% no CPE yet The "stringprep" module didn't process characters from RFC 3454 tables B.2 or B.3 correctly: the latest Unicode codepoint attributes were used instead of the specified Unicode 3.2.0. This behavior would cause mismatches when processing domain names using IDNA 2003 (the "idna" codec) and the in_table_b2() function of the "stringprep" module. This only affects domain names containing characters that were not previously registered or had their Unicode attributes such as case-folding behavior updated since Unicode 3.2.0. 22 Oct
CVE-2020-21913 5.5 medium 1.0% unicode, debian, international_components_for_unicode, debian_linux International Components for Unicode (ICU-20850) v66.1 was discovered to contain a use after free bug in the pkg_createWithAssemblyCode function in the file tools/pkgdata/pkgdata.cpp. 14 Oct
CVE-2024-35823 5.3 medium 1.0% linux, debian, linux_kernel, debian_linux In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vt: fix unicode buffer corruption when deleting characters This is the same issue that was fixed for the VGA text buffer in commit 39cdb68c64d8 ("vt: fix memory overlapping when deleting chars in the buffer"). The cure is also the same i.e. replace memcpy() with memmove() due to the overlaping buffers. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-105241 5.3 medium 1.0% apache, log4net Improper Handling of Unicode Encoding vulnerability in the SmtpPickupDirAppender of Apache log4net. Content that the mail file writer cannot encode, such as an unpaired UTF-16 surrogate, made the write throw. Every buffered event in the batch was discarded, not only the one carrying the content, and a truncated mail could be left in the pickup directory. A party whose data reaches a log message could suppress the records of other events. Only applications that use SmtpPickupDirAppender are affected. This issue affects Apache log4net: from 1.2.9 before 3.5.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.5.0, which fixes the issue. 9 Oct
CVE-2026-71502 5.1 medium 1.0% no CPE yet CTI-Transmute contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability caused by insufficient neutralization of Vue template expression delimiters in server-rendered user-controlled data. An unauthenticated attacker can create a public conversion whose name or description contains a malicious Vue expression using the application's configured [[ ... ]] delimiters. User profile names may provide an additional injection vector. Although Jinja HTML escaping is applied, the resulting value is subsequently included in a DOM region compiled by Vue. Vue interprets the attacker-controlled value as a template expression rather than ordinary text. By accessing the JavaScript Function constructor from within the expression, an attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the security context of the CTI-Transmute origin. The application's nonce-based Content Security Policy does not prevent exploitation because the Vue runtime compiler requires the unsafe-eval policy exception. The malicious payload is stored by the application and executed whenever another user opens an affected page, such as the public conversion detail page. The victim may be a normal user or an administrator. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to: * Access data available to the victim through the application. * Extract API keys, tokens, or other sensitive information exposed to the page. * Perform authenticated actions using the victim's session. * Modify conversions or other application data. * Escalate the impact by targeting an administrator. A demonstrated payload can use [].constructor.constructor(...) to obtain the JavaScript Function constructor and execute arbitrary code. The regression tests also show that a short first-stage payload could retrieve an uncapped conversion description and evaluate a larger second-stage payload. The patch addresses the vulnerability by registering a global Jinja finalize hook that inserts a zero-width Unicode word joiner inside every Vue delimiter found in server-rendered values. This prevents Vue from recognizing the values as template expressions while preserving their visible representation. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-109573 9.2 critical 0.00% no CPE yet phpMyFAQ before 4.1.9 contains an SQL injection vulnerability in PdoMysql::escape(), which escapes single quotes with backslashes that are treated literally when MySQL or MariaDB runs in NO_BACKSLASH_ESCAPES mode. Unauthenticated attackers can send a Unicode right single quotation mark in the search parameter of api/autocomplete, which is normalized to an ASCII quote, to read credentials and configuration secrets, modify records, or drop tables. 13 Oct
CVE-2026-89074 8.8 high 0.00% progress, moveit_transfer Improper handling of unicode encoding vulnerability in Progress MOVEit Transfer. This issue affects MOVEit Transfer: before 2025.1.6 and from 2026.0.0 before 2026.0.4. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-48801 8.7 high 0.00% markdown-it, linkify-it linkify-it is a links recognition library with full Unicode support. Prior to 5.0.1, LinkifyIt.prototype.match, the package's primary public API, has O(N²) algorithmic complexity for inputs containing many fuzzy links or emails because the JavaScript-level scan loop re-slices input and re-runs unanchored regex searches on progressively shorter tails. Any service that synchronously renders untrusted Markdown with linkify:true on a request hot path can inherit a worker-process denial of service triggerable by a tens-of-KB request body. This issue is fixed in version 5.0.1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-49401 8.4 high 0.00% deno Deno is a JavaScript, TypeScript, and WebAssembly runtime. Prior to 2.7.14, Deno's permission system enforces filesystem and execution restrictions by comparing the requested path against the path supplied to --deny-read, --deny-write, --deny-run, or --deny-ffi. On macOS, that comparison was done at the raw-byte level while the APFS filesystem treats different Unicode spellings of the same name as the same file. That means a program could reach a denied path by spelling it differently than the deny rule. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.7.14. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-70870 8.2 high 0.00% oracle, hyperion_data_relationship_management Vulnerability in the Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Management product of Oracle Hyperion (component: Web Client - Unicode). The supported version that is affected is 11.2.23.0.000. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Management. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Management accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Management. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 8.2 (Confidentiality and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:L). 22 Oct
CVE-2026-116576 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet systeminformation is a System and OS information library for node.js. Prior to 5.33.16, services() in lib/processes.js inserts a caller-supplied service name into a PowerShell Get-CimInstance filter after processing it with sanitizeShellString() in lib/util.js. On Windows, the sanitizer removes ASCII quotes but permits Unicode quotation marks that PowerShell accepts as string delimiters, allowing crafted input to terminate the filter and place a PowerShell expression in the command executed by util.powerShell(). The expression runs with the Node.js process account's permissions and may read or change accessible files, alter application data, or disrupt the service. The package does not expose a network service itself, so remote reachability depends on a consuming application forwarding attacker-controlled input to services() or getDynamicData(). This issue is fixed in version 5.33.16. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-29144 7.8 high 0.00% seppmail, secure_email_gateway SEPPmail Secure Email Gateway before version 15.0.3 allows an attacker to bypass subject sanitization and forge security tags using Unicode lookalike characters. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-31742 7.8 high 0.00% linux, linux_kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vt: discard stale unicode buffer on alt screen exit after resize When enter_alt_screen() saves vc_uni_lines into vc_saved_uni_lines and sets vc_uni_lines to NULL, a subsequent console resize via vc_do_resize() skips reallocating the unicode buffer because vc_uni_lines is NULL. However, vc_saved_uni_lines still points to the old buffer allocated for the original dimensions. When leave_alt_screen() later restores vc_saved_uni_lines, the buffer dimensions no longer match vc_rows/vc_cols. Any operation that iterates over the unicode buffer using the current dimensions (e.g. csi_J clearing the screen) will access memory out of bounds, causing a kernel oops: BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: 0x0000002000000020 RIP: 0010:csi_J+0x133/0x2d0 The faulting address 0x0000002000000020 is two adjacent u32 space characters (0x20) interpreted as a pointer, read from the row data area past the end of the 25-entry pointer array in a buffer allocated for 80x25 but accessed with 240x67 dimensions. Fix this by checking whether the console dimensions changed while in the alternate screen. If they did, free the stale saved buffer instead of restoring it. The unicode screen will be lazily rebuilt via vc_uniscr_check() when next needed. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-93095 7.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hfsplus: validate thread record before delete key rebuild hfsplus_delete_cat() is called with str == NULL when the last open reference to an unlinked HFS+ hardlink backing inode is closed. In that case, the function finds the catalog thread by CNID and rebuilds the catalog key from thread.nodeName. That reconstruction path reads thread.nodeName.length directly from the catalog B-tree into fd.search_key and then copies length * 2 bytes into fd.search_key->cat.name.unicode. It does not first check that the found record is a thread record or that its size matches the thread name. A corrupted image can therefore provide an oversized thread name length and make hfs_bnode_read() write past the catalog search-key allocation. Read the CNID record through hfsplus_brec_read_cat(), which bounds the record read to sizeof(hfsplus_cat_entry) and verifies that a thread record's size exactly matches nodeName.length. Together, these checks ensure an accepted thread name fits HFSPLUS_MAX_STRLEN. Reject non-thread records before building the delete key from the validated thread name. Share the thread-record-type helper between hfsplus_find_cat() and hfsplus_delete_cat(). 19 Oct
CVE-2026-100541 7.7 high 0.00% no CPE yet OpenClaw's Matrix integration (npm package @openclaw/matrix) versions >= 2026.2.2 and < 2026.8.1 lowercase complete Matrix user IDs — including historical localparts and the case-sensitive server-name portion — when deriving the OpenClaw authorization identity. As a result, distinct authenticated Matrix accounts can normalize to the same authorization identity. A Matrix participant controlling a colliding account identifier (a protocol-valid identifier that differs from the configured one only by characters OpenClaw case/Unicode folds; display-name matching is not required) can inherit allowlist, owner-command, exec-approval, or plugin-approval authority configured for another account. The issue is fixed in 2026.8.1. 8 Oct
CVE-2025-61582 7.5 high 0.00% joni1802, ts3_manager TS3 Manager is modern web interface for maintaining Teamspeak3 servers. A Denial of Dervice vulnerability has been identified in versions 2.2.1 and earlier. The vulnerability permits an unauthenticated actor to crash the application through the submission of specially crafted Unicode input, requiring no prior authentication or privileges. The flaw manifests when Unicode tag characters are submitted to the Server field on the login page. The application fails to properly handle these characters during the ASCII conversion process, resulting in an unhandled exception that terminates the application within four to five seconds of submission. This issue is fixed in version 2.2.2. 12 Oct
CVE-2026-4116 7.2 high 0.00% sonicwall, sma6210_firmware, sma6200_firmware, sma7200_firmware Improper handling of Unicode encoding in SonicWall SMA1000 series appliances allows a remote authenticated SSLVPN user to bypass Workplace/Connect Tunnel TOTP authentication. Mon 26 Oct

The pointer on the unicode buffer is still going beyond the allocated memory. This patch introduces two warpper functions hfsplus_uni2asc_xattr_str and hfsplus_uni2asc_str to process two unicode buffers, struct hfsplus_attr_unistr* and struct hfsplus_unistr* respectively. When ustrlen value is bigger than the allocated memory size, the ustrlen value is limited to an safe size. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-110598 6.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Libyal libpff through 20260926 contains an integer underflow in libpff_record_entry_get_multi_value() that allows attackers to trigger heap out-of-bounds reads via non-monotonic multi-value offsets. Attackers can craft PST, OST or PAB files with decreasing PT_MV_STRING8, PT_MV_UNICODE or PT_MV_BINARY offsets to crash libpff, pypff or pffexport and expose adjacent heap memory. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-111127 6.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet catdoc through 0.95 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in copy_unicode_string() in src/xlsparse.c that allows attackers to read past buffers via an unchecked string character count. Attackers can supply a crafted .xls file declaring 0xFFFF two-byte characters in LABEL, STRING, or SST records to disclose adjacent memory through xls2csv output or crash the process. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-13723 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability in the `zipx.Unzip` extraction routine of Develar's app-builder allows an attacker to overwrite arbitrary files on macOS APFS by exploiting a Unicode Normalization Collision combined with symlink following behavior. APFS treats certain Unicode equivalent filenames as identical (e.g., ß ↔ ss), while app builder performs no canonical normalization before validating or writing paths. As a result, a crafted ZIP archive containing: • a symlink entry named ss pointing to a target file, and • a regular file named ß containing attacker controlled data, will cause the second write to follow the symlink and overwrite the target file. CVE-2026-72522 6.2 medium 0.00% no CPE yet libexpat before 2.8.3 has an out-of-bounds read and resultant infinite loop because low surrogates are treated the same as high surrogates during Unicode processing in the *_toUtf16 functions. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-59890 6.1 medium 0.00% python, setuptools setuptools is a package that allows users to download, build, install, upgrade, and uninstall Python packages. Prior to 83.0.0, FileList applied MANIFEST.in exclude, global-exclude, recursive-exclude, and prune directives by matching compiled glob patterns against on-disk file names without Unicode normalization, so on macOS APFS or HFS+ an NFD file name could bypass an NFC exclusion rule and be packed into a source distribution. This issue is fixed in version 83.0.0. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-100231 6.1 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A flaw was found in the GStreamer multimedia framework's ASF muxer plugin (asfmux). When writing string metadata tags containing Unicode characters outside the Basic Multilingual Plane (such as emoji) to an ASF container, the plugin incorrectly calculates the buffer size needed for the UTF-16LE representation. The size calculation assumes each Unicode code point requires 2 bytes, but non-BMP characters require 4 bytes (surrogate pairs). This leads to a heap out-of-bounds write when the actual UTF-16LE conversion is written into the undersized buffer. An attacker could exploit this by providing media with crafted metadata tags to an application that transcodes or remuxes to ASF format while preserving metadata, potentially causing a denial of service or limited memory corruption. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-35583 5.3 medium 0.00% nsa, emissary Emissary is a P2P based data-driven workflow engine. Prior to 8.39.0, the configuration API endpoint (/api/configuration/{name}) validated configuration names using a blacklist approach that checked for \, /, .., and trailing .. This could potentially be bypassed using URL-encoded variants, double-encoding, or Unicode normalization to achieve path traversal and read configuration files outside the intended directory. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.39.0. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-52761 5.3 medium 0.00% owasp, modsecurity ModSecurity is an open source, cross platform web application firewall (WAF) engine for Apache, IIS and Nginx. From 3.0.0 through 3.0.15, the t:utf8toUnicode transformation in src/actions/transformations/utf8_to_unicode.cc produces wrong output on i386 architecture because snprintf uses sizeof on a char pointer rather than the length of the unicode buffer, allowing rules that use this transformation to be bypassed on i386 architecture. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.16. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-50290 5.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet SpecifyJS is a declarative TypeScript user interface framework. Prior to version 0.2.136, CSS value sanitization stripped `expression(` and `url(javascript:` using simple regex, but could be bypassed with CSS unicode escapes (`\65xpression(`), null bytes, or CSS comments (`exp/**/ression(`). These CSS injection vectors only work in legacy browsers (IE6-IE10). SpecifyJS targets modern browsers. Starting in version 0.2.136, CSS sanitization now normalizes unicode escapes and strips CSS comments before pattern matching. Also checks for `behavior:`, `-moz-binding`, and `-o-link` patterns. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-107218 5.3 medium 0.00% excelize Excelize is a Go language library for reading and writing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. From 2.10.1 to 2.11.0, RIGHT validates the requested length with UTF-16 code-unit counts but slices a rune array using Unicode code-point counts. RIGHT reaches leftRight through CalcCellValue, where countUTF16String validates one unit but utf8.RuneCountInString supplies the slice index in another. When RIGHT evaluates supplementary-plane text with a requested character count between the rune count and UTF-16 code-unit count, the inconsistent units produce a negative rune-slice index, allowing an attacker to panic during formula evaluation. No fixed version is available as of this review. 13 Oct
CVE-2025-59547 5.3 medium 0.00% dnnsoftware, dotnetnuke DNN (formerly DotNetNuke) is an open-source web content management platform (CMS) in the Microsoft ecosystem. Prior to version 10.1.0, the CKEditor file upload endpoint has insufficient sanitization for filenames allowing probing network endpoints. A specially crafted request can be made to upload a file with Unicode characters, which would be translated into a path that could expose resources in the internal network of the hosted site. This issue has been patched in version 10.1.0. 11 Oct
CVE-2026-35346 3.3 low 0.00% uutils, coreutils The comm utility in uutils coreutils silently corrupts data by performing lossy UTF-8 conversion on all output lines. The implementation uses String::from_utf8_lossy(), which replaces invalid UTF-8 byte sequences with the Unicode replacement character (U+FFFD). This behavior differs from GNU comm, which processes raw bytes and preserves the original input. This results in corrupted output when the utility is used to compare binary files or files using non-UTF-8 legacy encodings. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2023-29383 3.3 low 0.00% shadow_project, shadow In Shadow 4.13, it is possible to inject control characters into fields provided to the SUID program chfn (change finger). Although it is not possible to exploit this directly (e.g., adding a new user fails because \n is in the block list), it is possible to misrepresent the /etc/passwd file when viewed. Use of \r manipulations and Unicode characters to work around blocking of the : character make it possible to give the impression that a new user has been added. In other words, an adversary may be able to convince a system administrator to take the system offline (an indirect, social-engineered denial of service) by demonstrating that "cat /etc/passwd" shows a rogue user account. 14 Oct
CVE-2025-62380 2.9 low 0.00% no CPE yet mailgen is a Node.js package that generates responsive HTML e-mails for sending transactional mail. Mailgen versions through 2.0.31 contain an HTML injection vulnerability in plaintext emails generated with the generatePlaintext method when user generated content is supplied. The plaintext generation code attempts to strip HTML tags using a regular expression and then decodes HTML entities, but tags that include certain Unicode line separator characters are not matched and removed. These encoded tags are later decoded into valid HTML content, allowing unexpected HTML to remain in output intended to be plaintext. Projects are affected if they call Mailgen.generatePlaintext with untrusted input and then render or otherwise process the returned string in a context where HTML is interpreted. This can lead to execution of attacker supplied script in the victim’s browser. Version 2.0.32 fixes the issue. 8 Oct
