CVE-2026-45321KEVexploit ×12 9.6 critical 3.0% tanstack, mistral, tanstack\/arktype-adapter, tanstack\/eslint-plugin-router, tanstack\/eslint-plugin-start On 2026-05-11, between approximately 19:20 and 19:26 UTC, 84 malicious versions across 42 @tanstack/* packages were published to the npm registry. The publishes were authenticated via the legitimate GitHub Actions OIDC trusted-publisher binding for TanStack/router, but the publish workflow itself was not modified. The attacker chained three known vulnerability classes — a pull_request_target "Pwn Request" misconfiguration, GitHub Actions cache poisoning across the fork↔base trust boundary, and runtime memory extraction of the OIDC token from the Actions runner process — to publish credential-stealing malware under a trusted identity. Each affected package received exactly two malicious versions, published a few minutes apart. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-53571exploit 8.2 high 1.0% vitejs, voidzero, vite, vite\+ Vite is a frontend tooling framework for JavaScript. Prior to 8.0.16, 7.3.5, and 6.4.3, the contents of files that are specified by server.fs.deny can be returned to the browser on Windows. Vite’s dev server denies direct access to sensitive files through server.fs.deny, including entries such as .env, .env.*, and *.{crt,pem}. However, on Windows, the deny logic does not correctly normalize NTFS ADS path forms before access checks are applied. Because of this, requests such as /.env::$DATA?raw are treated as allowed paths, while Windows resolves them to the original file's default data stream. Similar to that, Windows allows accessing a file using a different name with the 8.3 short name compatibility feature. Vite did not reject accessing files via them. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.0.16, 7.3.5, and 6.4.3. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-47429exploit 5.9 medium 1.0% vitest.dev, vitest Vitest is a testing framework powered by Vite. Prior to 3.2.5 and 4.1.0, the Vitest UI/API server on Windows used isFileServingAllowed incorrectly for /__vitest_attachment__, allowing \\?\\..\\ path traversal to read files outside the project; exposed API write and rerun features such as saveTestFile and rerun could also allow arbitrary script execution. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.5 and 4.1.0. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-53633 9.8 critical 1.0% no CPE yet Vitest is a testing framework powered by Vite. From 3.0.0 until 3.2.5, 4.1.8, and 5.0.0-beta.4, Vitest Browser Mode exposed a cdp() API that forwarded raw Chrome DevTools Protocol methods without being gated by allowWrite or allowExec, allowing a remote client with exposed browser API metadata to use CDP Page.setDownloadBehavior and Runtime.evaluate to overwrite vite.config.ts and execute attacker-controlled Node.js code. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.5, 4.1.8, and 5.0.0-beta. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2025-67489 9.8 critical 1.0% no CPE yet @vitejs/plugin-rs provides React Server Components (RSC) support for Vite. Versions 0.5.5 and below are vulnerable to arbitrary remote code execution on the development server through unsafe dynamic imports in server function APIs (loadServerAction, decodeReply, decodeAction) when integrated into RSC applications that expose server function endpoints. Attackers with network access to the development server can read/modify files, exfiltrate sensitive data (source code, environment variables, credentials), or pivot to other internal services. While this affects development servers only, the risk increases when using vite --host to expose the server on all network interfaces. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.6. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-47428 9.6 critical 1.0% no CPE yet Vitest is a testing framework powered by Vite. From 4.0.17 until 4.1.6 and 5.0.0-beta.3, Vitest Browser Mode served /__vitest_test__/ with the otelCarrier query parameter inserted directly into an inline module script, allowing a crafted browser-runner URL to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the Vitest server origin and recover VITEST_API_TOKEN for authenticated API calls. This issue is fixed in versions 4.1.6 and 5.0.0-beta.3. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-71319 9.6 critical 1.0% no CPE yet Nuxt is an open-source web development framework for Vue.js. Prior to 3.3.1, Nuxt DevTools (development mode only) exposes a bidirectional RPC channel over the Vite HMR WebSocket via the nuxt:devtools:rpc plugin. On affected versions the channel has no authentication: any client that can reach the Vite HMR endpoint (ws://<host>:<port>/, subprotocol vite-hmr) can call RPC methods, with no token, handshake, or origin check before the channel is established. The updateOptions(), clearOptions(), and openInEditor() methods do not enforce the ensureDevAuthToken check that the other mutating methods use. openInEditor() reads the persisted behavior.openInEditor value and passes it to the launch-editor package, which spawns it as a child process. That value is settable through the equally unauthenticated updateOptions(). An attacker who can reach the HMR port can therefore chain updateOptions('behavior', { openInEditor: '<command>' }) then openInEditor('<any-existing-file>') to execute an arbitrary program on the developer's machine. This issue is fixed in 3.3.1. Sat 24 Oct
CVE-2026-112947 6.3 medium 1.0% no CPE yet Vite is a frontend tooling framework for JavaScript. From 8.2.0 until 8.2.4 and 8.3.3, the first 4 bytes of files outside of server.fs setting can be returned to the browser by a request containing ?vite-wasm-instance. Requests containing the ?vite-wasm-instance query are handled by the internal Wasm plugin's load hook. The hook removes the query and reads the resulting path directly from disk, but the server.fs checks were not applied. After reading the file, Vite attempts to parse it as WebAssembly. When that parse fails, Node and deno throws an error that contains the first 4 bytes of the file. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.2.4 and 8.3.3. 21 Oct
CVE-2026-112946 6.3 medium 1.0% no CPE yet Vite is a frontend tooling framework for JavaScript. Prior to 6.4.4, 7.3.7, 8.1.6, 8.2.4, and 8.3.3, import analysis can record a root-relative browser URL in safeModulePaths instead of the cleaned resolved module identifier. On a network-accessible, non-Windows development server, an imported project file whose URL matches an absolute host path can authorize a later raw-filesystem request for that host file, provided server.fs.deny does not block it. The request can disclose the matching file outside the project root, but it does not allow arbitrary path traversal because the host path must correspond to a project-relative URL authorized by the application graph. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.4, 7.3.7, 8.1.6, 8.2.4, and 8.3.3. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-112944 6.3 medium 1.0% no CPE yet launch-editor allows users to open files with line numbers in editor from Node.js. Prior to 2.14.2, when an attacker can create a filesystem entry beginning with plus or minus in the working directory, an affected editor is selected, and the path can remain relative or is converted to a relative WSL path, launchEditor forwards the path without forcing it to be interpreted as a positional filename. Editor option parsing then treats the attacker-controlled filename as a command-line flag, which can cause unintended file overwrite or arbitrary command execution by the selected editor. The affected editors are Vim and gVim, MacVim, Emacs and Emacsclient, and Notepad++ when a plugin exposes dangerous operations; WSL path conversion keeps Vite and newer middleware callers exposed. This issue is fixed in version 2.14.2. 20 Oct
CVE-2025-62522 6.0 medium 1.0% no CPE yet Vite is a frontend tooling framework for JavaScript. In versions from 2.9.18 to before 3.0.0, 3.2.9 to before 4.0.0, 4.5.3 to before 5.0.0, 5.2.6 to before 5.4.21, 6.0.0 to before 6.4.1, 7.0.0 to before 7.0.8, and 7.1.0 to before 7.1.11, files denied by server.fs.deny were sent if the URL ended with \ when the dev server is running on Windows. Only apps explicitly exposing the Vite dev server to the network and running the dev server on Windows were affected. This issue has been patched in versions 5.4.21, 6.4.1, 7.0.8, and 7.1.11. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-112945 2.1 low 1.0% no CPE yet Vite is a frontend tooling framework for JavaScript. Prior to 6.4.4, 7.3.7, 8.1.6, 8.2.4, and 8.3.3, applications using custom middleware are vulnerable when they pass an unchanged browser request URL to server.transformIndexHtml. getHtmlFilename uses the query-bearing request URL to resolve an existing local file while preserving attacker-supplied leading slashes in the generated proxy module URL. If the transformed HTML contains an inline module script and a victim browser loads the crafted development-server page, the leading double slash makes the browser fetch and execute an attacker-controlled module in the Vite-served page. This execution can expose sensitive page data or permit critical actions available to the affected application. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.4, 7.3.7, 8.1.6, 8.2.4, and 8.3.3. 12 h ago
CVE-2026-78177 1.1 low 1.0% no CPE yet A vulnerability was found in TanStack devtools-vite 0.7.0. Affected by this issue is the function installPackage of the file packages/devtools-bundler-core/src/package-manager.ts of the component Development Devtools Event Bus. The manipulation of the argument packageName results in os command injection. Attacking locally is a requirement. A high complexity level is associated with this attack. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. 12 Oct
CVE-2026-34456 9.8 critical 0.00% reviactyl Reviactyl is an open-source game server management panel built using Laravel, React, FilamentPHP, Vite, and Go. From version 26.2.0-beta.1 to before version 26.2.0-beta.5, a vulnerability in the OAuth authentication flow allowed automatic linking of social accounts based solely on matching email addresses. An attacker could create or control a social account (e.g., Google, GitHub, Discord) using a victim’s email address and gain full access to the victim's account without knowing their password. This results in a full account takeover with no prior authentication required. This issue has been patched in version 26.2.0-beta.5. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2025-59144 8.8 high 0.00% no CPE yet debug is a JavaScript debugging utility. On 8 September 2025, the npm publishing account for debug was taken over after a phishing attack. Version 4.4.2 was published, functionally identical to the previous patch version, but with a malware payload added attempting to redirect cryptocurrency transactions to the attacker's own addresses from within browser environments. Local environments, server environments, command line applications, etc. are not affected. If the package was used in a browser context (e.g. a direct <script> inclusion, or via a bundling tool such as Babel, Rollup, Vite, Next.js, etc.) there is a chance the malware still exists and such bundles will need to be rebuilt. The malware seemingly only targets cryptocurrency transactions and wallets such as MetaMask. npm removed the offending package from the registry over the course of the day on 8 September, preventing further downloads from npm proper. On 13 September, the package owner published new patch versions to help cache-bust those using private registries who might still have the compromised version cached. Users should upgrade to the latest patch version, completely remove their node_modules directory, clean their package manager's global cache, and rebuild any browser bundles from scratch. Those operating private registries or registry mirrors should purge the offending versions from any caches. This issue has been resolved in 4.4.3. 19 Oct
CVE-2026-114063 8.7 high 0.00% no CPE yet SvelteKit (@sveltejs/kit) from 2.10.0 before 3.0.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the vite preview server on Windows that allows unauthenticated attackers to read files outside the prerendered output directory. Attackers who can reach the preview server through network access or a tunnel can send crafted requests to expose source code, configuration, or credentials readable by the server process. Tue 27 Oct
CVE-2026-41211 8.4 high 0.00% voidzero, vite\+ Vite+ is a unified toolchain and entry point for web development. Prior to version 0.1.17, `downloadPackageManager()` accepts an untrusted `version` string and uses it directly in filesystem paths. A caller can supply `../` segments or an absolute path to escape the `VP_HOME/package_manager/<pm>/` cache root and make Vite+ delete, replace, and populate directories outside the intended cache location. Version 0.1.17 contains a patch. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-118662 6.9 medium — no CPE yet Vite is a frontend tooling framework for JavaScript. From 6.4.4 until 6.4.5, the Vite development server can evaluate server.fs.deny before stripping loader query parameters such as ?raw, ?import&raw, or ?import&url&inline. When the development server is exposed to the network and a sensitive file is inside server.fs.allow but matched by server.fs.deny, an unauthenticated attacker can append one of these queries and retrieve the denied file. This issue is fixed in version 6.4.5. 5 h ago
CVE-2026-63123 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Tina is a headless content management system. Prior to 2.5.2, the TinaCMS CLI package's Vite dev server packages/@tinacms/cli/src/next/vite/cors.ts origin callback returns false for a disallowed origin but does not reject the request, and packages/@tinacms/cli/src/next/vite/plugins.ts still routes POST /media/upload/* to mediaRouter.handlePost. The upload code in packages/@tinacms/cli/src/next/commands/dev-command/server/media.ts writes attacker-controlled multipart contents inside the configured media root. A remote attacker can cause a developer's browser to submit this state-changing request by inducing the developer to visit an attacker-controlled page while tinacms dev is running. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.2. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-112948 6.5 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Vitest is a testing framework powered by Vite. From 5.0.0-beta.6 until 5.0.5, Vitest dev servers can misapply server.fs.deny because project servers replace Vite's defaults and the root server adds .vitest-secret-token after Vite compiles its matcher. An attacker who can reach an affected UI, Browser Mode, or API server can read denied project files or the fallback API token at node_modules/.vitest/.vitest-secret-token, and Browser Mode with test.projects can expose JavaScript-compatible .env values through a malicious website. This issue is fixed in version 5.0.5. 20 Oct
CVE-2026-112950 5.9 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Vitest is a Vite-native testing framework for JavaScript and TypeScript projects. From 4.1.11 until 4.1.12 and 5.0.3, isFileLoadingAllowed and the filesystem read interpret backslashes differently on Windows in packages/mocker/src/node/interceptorPlugin.ts. When a client can reach the Vite dev server on Windows and register a redirect mock containing backslash traversal, POSIX joining preserves a Windows backslash traversal that the later filesystem read interprets as a path separator, so the client can read a file outside server.fs.allow that the Vitest process can access. This issue is fixed in versions 4.1.12 and 5.0.3. 12 h ago
CVE-2026-106108 5.7 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Quasar Framework is a framework for building high-performance Vue.js user interfaces. From 3.1.0 until 3.3.0, @quasar/app-vite SSG page definitions returned by getSsgPages() could supply dir and filename values that were joined to build.distDir without verifying the final destination. Parent traversal or an existing symlink below the distribution directory could create new HTML files or directories outside the output tree with the build user's permissions. Application configuration and SSG page definitions are trusted by default, so exploitation requires a build process that derives them from external or otherwise less-trusted content; existing files remain protected by the renderer's no-overwrite behavior. This issue is fixed in version 3.3.0. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-112949 4.7 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Vitest is a Vite-native testing framework for JavaScript and TypeScript projects. From 2.1.0-beta.7 until 4.1.12 and 5.0.3, an unauthenticated non-browser WebSocket client that can reach a development server using interceptorPlugin can register a manual mock whose attacker-controlled url createManualModuleSource inserts unescaped into generated module source. When the developer browser loads the affected module, attacker-controlled JavaScript executes on the development-server origin. This issue is fixed in versions 4.1.12 and 5.0.3. Fri 23 Oct
