CVE-2026-106492 6.5 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/backend-defaults, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.16.1 and 0.17.8, the @backstage/backend-defaults package is affected by improper preservation of access restrictions during service credential delegation. An external service credential configured with access restrictions (e.g., read-only) could bypass those restrictions by routing requests through plugin delegation paths. This could allow a restricted service to perform operations beyond its intended scope, including write operations on plugins it was restricted to read-only access for. This issue is fixed in versions 0.16.1 and 0.17.8. 22 Oct
CVE-2026-106496 6.5 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage_plugin-catalog-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 3.9.1, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend package is affected by inconsistent enforcement of allowed location types during catalog processing. Under certain configurations, the catalog backend could process location types that were not intended to be allowed, potentially leading to unintended file access on the backend host. This issue is fixed in version 3.9.1. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-106559 6.5 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-confluence-to-markdown, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.3.25, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-confluence-to-markdown package is affected by improper input validation in confluence to markdown scaffolder module. Insufficient input validation in the Confluence to Markdown scaffolder module could allow an attacker to influence file write operations during template execution. Exploitation requires a Backstage user to run a template that processes attacker-influenced Confluence content. This issue is fixed in version 0.3.25. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-106560 6.5 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-confluence-to-markdown, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.3.25, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-confluence-to-markdown package is affected by improper repository path validation in a scaffolder backend module. An authenticated user who can execute an affected template and control its repository file location may cause generated content to be written outside the task workspace, within locations writable by the Backstage backend process. This issue is fixed in version 0.3.25. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-106563 6.5 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-kubernetes-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.21.8, the @backstage/plugin-kubernetes-backend package is affected by improper entity validation in deprecated kubernetes services endpoint. An authenticated user with Kubernetes read permissions could access Kubernetes workload data beyond their intended scope by supplying crafted entity data to the deprecated services endpoint. The exposure is limited to read-only access to Kubernetes object metadata across configured clusters. This issue is fixed in version 0.21.8. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-106504 6.5 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-scaffolder-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 4.1.0, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend package is affected by sensitive information exposure in scaffolder task logs. An authenticated user who can create and read scaffolder tasks may be able to observe sensitive values in task logs in deployments with restrictive action permissions and affected templates. Exploitation requires a denied action whose input contains such a value. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.0. 13 Oct
CVE-2026-106507 6.5 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage_plugin-techdocs-node, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.15.4, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package is affected by techdocs arbitrary file read via mkdocs snippets. Unsafe path resolution in TechDocs source tree handling allows an authenticated user who can register documentation sources to include content from outside the intended documentation boundary. Depending on deployment, this may expose files readable by the build process. This issue is fixed in version 1.15.4. 9 Oct
CVE-2026-106508 6.5 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage_plugin-techdocs-node, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.15.4, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package is affected by potential file exposure through local techdocs publisher. When using the local TechDocs publisher (techdocs.publisher.type: 'local'), it was possible for the documentation serving endpoint to follow filesystem references outside the intended documentation tree, potentially exposing host files to authenticated users. This is mitigated by the fact that exploration requires preconditions that do not arise through normal MkDocs operation. Cloud-based publishers (S3, GCS, Azure Blob Storage) are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.15.4. 9 Oct
CVE-2026-106462 6.4 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-scaffolder-backend, backstage\/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-azure, backstage\/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-bitbucket-cloud Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.54.6, scaffolder source-control actions may not consistently enforce intended credential boundaries. An authenticated user could cause an affected action to fall back to broader integration credentials and perform operations with more access than intended. This issue is fixed in 1.54.6 when operators also enable scaffolder.requireScmUserCredentials after upgrading. Thu 22 Oct
CVE-2026-106491 6.4 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-proxy-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.6.17, the @backstage/plugin-proxy-backend package is affected by improper input validation in proxy-backend. An authenticated Backstage user could craft a request URL that causes the proxy-backend to forward the request to a path outside the configured base path on the target server. This is limited to target servers already configured as proxy endpoints and requires Backstage authentication by default. This issue is fixed in version 0.6.17. 22 Oct
CVE-2026-73563 6.1 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-auth-backend Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.29.2, the experimental dynamic client registration and client ID metadata document features in the @backstage/plugin-auth-backend use full-string matcher.isMatch glob matching for auth.experimentalDynamicClientRegistration.allowedRedirectUriPatterns and the auth.experimentalClientIdMetadataDocuments allowedClientIdPatterns and allowedRedirectUriPatterns options. A hostname wildcard can match across URL component boundaries, allowing an attacker-controlled redirect URI with a trusted hostname suffix in its path to pass the allowlist and receive an OAuth authorization code after a victim completes the flow. Patterns without an explicit protocol can match unintended protocols, and redirect URIs containing embedded credentials are accepted after user information is stripped for matching. The features are experimental and disabled by default; only deployments that enable them and configure custom wildcard-hostname or protocol-less patterns are affected. This issue is first fixed in prerelease version 0.29.2. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-39984 5.5 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, sigstore_timestamp_authority Sigstore Timestamp Authority is a service for issuing RFC 3161 timestamps. Versions 2.0.5 and below contain an authorization bypass vulnerability in the VerifyTimestampResponse function. VerifyTimestampResponse correctly verifies the certificate chain signature, but the TSA-specific constraint checks in VerifyLeafCert uses the first non-CA certificate from the PKCS#7 certificate bag instead of the leaf certificate from the verified chain. An attacker can exploit this by prepending a forged certificate to the certificate bag while the message is signed with an authorized key, causing the library to validate the signature against one certificate but perform authorization checks against another. This vulnerability only affects users of the timestamp-authority/v2/pkg/verification package and does not affect the timestamp-authority service itself or sigstore-go. The issue has been fixed in version 2.0.6. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-40923 5.4 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, tekton_pipelines Tekton Pipelines project provides k8s-style resources for declaring CI/CD-style pipelines. Starting in version 1.0.0 and prior to versions 1.0.2, 1.3.4, 1.6.2, 1.9.3, and 1.11.1, a validation bypass in the VolumeMount path restriction allows mounting volumes under restricted /tekton/ internal paths by using .. path traversal components. The restriction check uses strings.HasPrefix without filepath.Clean, so a path like /tekton/home/../results passes validation but resolves to /tekton/results at runtime. Versions 1.0.2, 1.3.4, 1.6.2, 1.9.3, and 1.11.1 fix the issue. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-58211 5.4 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, nats-server NATS Server is a high-performance server for NATS.io, the cloud and edge native messaging system. Prior to 2.14.3 and 2.12.12, a client could be registered as the configured no_auth_user through a parser path used when the first client operation was not CONNECT, bypassing user-level connection restrictions such as allowed_connection_types or proxy_required that normal authentication would apply. This issue is fixed in versions 2.14.3 and 2.12.12. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-106463 5.4 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-catalog-backend-module-gitlab, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.8.7, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend-module-gitlab package is affected by improper authorization in gitlab organizational user ingestion. Deployments that enable GitLab organization event ingestion and rely on scoped catalog users as an access boundary may admit an unintended catalog identity. Depending on sign-in and permission configuration, this may allow unauthorized access with the permissions of a standard authenticated user. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.7. Thu 22 Oct
CVE-2026-58254 5.3 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, nats-server NATS Server is a high-performance server for NATS.io, the cloud and edge native messaging system. Prior to 2.14.3 and 2.12.8, message trace destination checks were applied to ordinary client connections but not consistently to messages arriving through leafnode connections, allowing a leafnode operator to send trace events to subjects that would not otherwise be permitted and to use trace-only behavior to prevent normal delivery or storage of affected messages. This issue is fixed in versions 2.14.3 and 2.12.8. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-106502 5.3 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-scaffolder-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 4.1.0, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend package could expose sensitive information in Scaffolder task failure events. Under specific template and failure conditions, an authenticated user may retrieve backend-managed credentials used during task execution from affected task events. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.0. 13 Oct
CVE-2026-106506 5.3 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-scaffolder-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 4.1.0, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend package is affected by improper input validation in scaffolder task list ordering. An authenticated Backstage user with permission to create and read relevant scaffolder tasks may be able to infer confidential task data under specific conditions. Successful exploitation requires retained task secrets, visibility of a target task, knowledge of the secret structure, and repeated requests. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.0. 9 Oct
CVE-2026-106487 5.0 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-kubernetes-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.21.10, the @backstage/plugin-kubernetes-backend package is affected by unsupported catalog cluster authentication mode in kubernetes backend. Deployments using catalog cluster discovery may be affected when catalog contributors can create or modify kubernetes-cluster Resource entities. With the required endpoint permissions and pod RBAC, the backend can use its local in-cluster identity, potentially exposing Kubernetes resources readable by that identity. The credential is used only with the local in-cluster API endpoint and is not sent to the catalog-supplied endpoint. This issue is fixed in version 0.21.10. Thu 22 Oct
CVE-2026-106561 5.0 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-kubernetes-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.21.9, the @backstage/plugin-kubernetes-backend package is affected by sensitive information disclosure in kubernetes resource queries. An authenticated user holding the standard Kubernetes resource read permission could retrieve sensitive values that the Kubernetes plugin is designed to mask, potentially exposing credentials and other confidential material held in the connected clusters. Exposure is limited to resources that the Backstage service account is permitted to read and that match the targeted catalog entity's namespace and label selector. Deployments whose cluster credentials do not grant read access to these resources are unaffected. This issue is fixed in version 0.21.9. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-106494 4.9 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/backend_defaults, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.17.8, the @backstage/backend-defaults package is affected by improper input validation in cloud storage url readers. An attacker with write access to a cloud storage bucket used by Backstage could craft object names that could collide with protected files in the output directory. In certain deployment configurations, this could lead to content injection. This issue is fixed in version 0.17.8. 22 Oct
CVE-2026-106499 4.9 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-scaffolder-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 4.1.0, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend package could expose secret-derived values in Scaffolder task logs. Deployments that configure sensitive scaffolder.defaultEnvironment.secrets and allow an attacker to create or modify Scaffolder templates are affected. A template author could cause secret-derived values used during template iteration to be persisted and exposed to users who can access the resulting task logs. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.0. 15 Oct
CVE-2026-44374 4.3 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-catalog-backend-module-unprocessed, backstage\/plugin-catalog-unprocessed-entities, backstage\/plugin-catalog-unprocessed-entities-common Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.6.11, the unprocessed entities read endpoints in @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend-module-unprocessed do not enforce permission authorization checks. Any authenticated user can access unprocessed entity records regardless of ownership. This is an information disclosure vulnerability affecting Backstage installations using this module. This is patched in @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend-module-unprocessed version 0.6.11, @backstage/plugin-catalog-unprocessed-entities-common version 0.0.15 and @backstage/plugin-catalog-unprocessed-entities version 0.2.30. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-58209 4.3 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, nats-server NATS Server is a high-performance server for NATS.io, the cloud and edge native messaging system. Prior to 2.14.3 and 2.12.12, MQTT retained message delivery and QoS1+ durable replay could deliver messages whose original topics matched a subscriber configured subscribe deny rule because these delivery paths did not consistently recheck the concrete original topic before sending the MQTT PUBLISH to the subscriber. This issue is fixed in versions 2.14.3 and 2.12.12. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-58214 4.3 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, nats-server NATS Server is a high-performance server for NATS.io, the cloud and edge native messaging system. Prior to 2.14.3 and 2.12.12, an authenticated MQTT client could subscribe to the internal $MQTT.deliver.pubrel subject family, bypassing configured subscribe permissions and exposing MQTT QoS2 protocol metadata for sessions in the account. This issue is fixed in versions 2.14.3 and 2.12.12. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-106461 4.3 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-scaffolder-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 4.1.0, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend package is affected by incorrect authorization in scaffolder task listing. An authenticated internal user may be able to view metadata for scaffolder tasks outside the visibility intended by a deployment's permission policy. Stored task secrets are not included in the affected response, and no integrity or availability impact was identified. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.0. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-106497 4.3 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage_plugin-catalog-backend, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 3.9.1, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend package is affected by inconsistent catalog property permission evaluation. In deployments that use affected value-based catalog permission conditions as a confidentiality boundary, an authenticated user could receive catalog entity data that policy authors intended to restrict. This issue is fixed in version 3.9.1. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-106562 4.3 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage\/plugin-search-backend, backstage\/plugin-search-backend-module-elasticsearch, backstage Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 2.1.6 in @backstage/plugin-search-backend and 1.8.7 in @backstage/plugin-search-backend-module-elasticsearch, search engine permission filtering could return documents denied by policy. An authenticated Backstage user subject to a DENY policy for search document types could receive unauthorized results in deployments with permission.enabled set to true and an Elasticsearch or OpenSearch backend. This issue is fixed in @backstage/plugin-search-backend 2.1.6 and @backstage/plugin-search-backend-module-elasticsearch 1.8.7. 16 Oct
CVE-2026-106493 4.1 medium 0.00% linuxfoundation, backstage, backstage\/backend-defaults, backstage\/plugin-catalog-backend-module-aws Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.54.6, cloud storage catalog providers did not sufficiently validate object paths. A principal able to create or rename objects in a configured Azure Blob Storage or AWS S3 catalog source could cause catalog descriptors to be read from outside the intended storage boundary, limited to locations reachable with the backend's configured credentials. This issue is fixed in 1.54.6. 22 Oct
CVE-2025-67499 3.6 low 0.00% linuxfoundation, cni_network_plugins The CNI portmap plugin allows containers to emulate opening a host port, forwarding that traffic to the container. Versions 1.6.0 through 1.8.0 inadvertently forward all traffic with the same destination port as the host port when the portmap plugin is configured with the nftables backend, thus ignoring the destination IP. This includes traffic not intended for the node itself, i.e. traffic to containers hosted on the node. Containers that request HostPort forwarding can intercept all traffic destined for that port. This requires that the portmap plugin be explicitly configured to use the nftables backend. This issue is fixed in version 1.9.0. To workaround, configure the portmap plugin to use the iptables backend. It does not have this vulnerability. 14 Oct
CVE-2026-41579 3.3 low 0.00% linuxfoundation, runc runc is a CLI tool for spawning and running containers according to the OCI specification. In versions prior to 1.3.6, 1.4.0-rc.1, 1.4.0-rc.12, 1.5.0-rc.1, and 1.5.0-rc.1, when setting up the container rootfs, setupPtmx and setupDevSymlinks call os.Remove and os.Symlink with a filepath.Join string which allow an image with /dev as a symlink to trick runc into deleting files called ptmx on the host or creating a hardcoded set of symlinks with specific names and targets in an arbitrary pre-existing host directory. This issue is not exploitable under Docker, because Docker creates a top-level read-only layer that masks any malicious /dev symlink present in the container image — unlike some other Linux container tooling, whose higher-level runtimes built on runc remain exposed to exploitation via a malicious image. This issue has been fixed in versions 1.3.6, 1.4.3 and 1.5.0. Sun 25 Oct
