CVE-2026-58116exploit 9.3 critical 1.0% hiyouga, llama-factory LLaMA-Factory through 0.9.5 contains a remote code execution vulnerability that allows attackers with WebUI access to execute arbitrary Python code by supplying a malicious model path in the Chat or Training interfaces. The application passes user-supplied model path input unvalidated into AutoTokenizer.from_pretrained() and AutoModel.from_pretrained() with a hardcoded trust_remote_code=True parameter, causing the Hugging Face transformers library to fetch and execute arbitrary code from a remote or local model repository with the privileges of the server process. Sun 25 Oct
CVE-2026-47117exploit 9.3 critical 1.0% no CPE yet OpenMed before 1.5.2 contains a remote code execution vulnerability in the PII privacy-filter model loading path. The privacy-filter dispatcher used broad substring matching on the user-supplied model_name parameter, allowing a value such as attacker/foo-privacy-filter-bar to route through a path that loads Hugging Face models with trust_remote_code=True. An unauthenticated attacker can supply a malicious model repository containing custom Transformers code via auto_map in config.json or tokenizer_config.json, which is imported and executed with the privileges of the OpenMed service process. 8 Oct
CVE-2026-7669exploit 6.3 medium 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability was detected in sgl-project SGLang up to 0.5.9. Impacted is the function get_tokenizer of the file python/sglang/srt/utils/hf_transformers_utils.py of the component HuggingFace Transformer Handler. The manipulation of the argument trust_remote_code with the input False as part of Boolean results in code injection. The attack can be executed remotely. A high complexity level is associated with this attack. The exploitability is considered difficult. In get_tokenizer(), when the caller passes trust_remote_code=False and HuggingFace transformers v5 returns a TokenizersBackend instance (the generic fallback for tokenizer classes not in the registry), SGLang silently re-invokes AutoTokenizer.from_pretrained with trust_remote_code=True, overriding the caller's explicit security setting. A model repository containing a malicious tokenizer.py referenced via auto_map in tokenizer_config.json will execute arbitrary Python in the SGLang process during this second call. No log line or warning is emitted. The override affects all current SGLang versions because transformers==5.3.0 is pinned in pyproject.toml. Both tokenizer_mode="auto" and tokenizer_mode="slow" are affected. The exploit is now public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. CVE-2026-61539 10.0 critical 1.0% no CPE yet Xinference is an inference API for running open-source, speech, and multimodal models. In 2.5.0 and earlier, Xinference passes attacker-influenced Llama3 tool-call output to eval() in xinference/model/llm/tool_parsers/llama3_tool_parser.py and xinference/model/llm/utils.py. Requests to /v1/chat/completions with a tools field flow through xinference/api/restful_api.py, xinference/model/llm/transformers/core.py, handle_chat_result_non_streaming(), and _post_process_completion() before extract_tool_calls() or _eval_llama3_chat_arguments() evaluates the model-generated Python expression. An unauthenticated remote attacker can influence that output through a crafted prompt and execute commands in the Xinference server process context. This issue is fixed in version 2.7.0. 12 Oct
CVE-2026-14535 9.8 critical 1.0% trailofbits, fickling In Trail of Bits fickling versions up to and including 0.1.11, the UnsafeImportsML analysis pass unconditionally calls AnalysisContext.shorten_code(node) on every import node it inspects, regardless of whether the import is flagged as unsafe. This call registers the shortened code representation in the shared AnalysisContext.reported_shortened_code set. When the MLAllowlist analysis pass subsequently runs, it calls the same shorten_code() method, receives already_reported=True for every import, and executes a continue statement that skips its allowlist check entirely. This renders MLAllowlist dead code for all imports — it never evaluates whether an import is in the ML allowlist or not. The MLAllowlist pass was designed to catch imports of modules outside the known-safe ML ecosystem (torch, numpy, transformers, etc.) that slip past the UnsafeImports denylist. With MLAllowlist inoperative, any standard library module not in the UNSAFE_IMPORTS denylist can be invoked via pickle deserialization while fickling's check_safety() returns LIKELY_SAFE. The fickling.load() API chains check_safety() into pickle.loads() as an explicit security gate, meaning a LIKELY_SAFE verdict causes the payload to be deserialized and executed. The root cause is shared mutable state between independently-correct analysis passes — UnsafeImportsML works as designed in isolation, MLAllowlist works as designed in isolation, but the shared reported_shortened_code set causes UnsafeImportsML to poison MLAllowlist's deduplication logic. CVE-2026-32311 9.3 critical 1.0% flowsint Flowsint is an open-source OSINT graph exploration tool designed for cybersecurity investigation, transparency, and verification. Flowsint allows a user to create investigations, which are used to manage sketches and analyses. Sketches have controllable graphs, which are comprised of nodes and relationships. The sketches contain information on an OSINT target (usernames, websites, etc) within these nodes and relationships. The nodes can have automated processes execute on them called 'transformers'. A remote attacker can create a sketch, then trigger the 'org_to_asn' transform on an organization node to execute arbitrary OS commands as root on the host machine via shell metacharacters and a docker container escape. Commit b52cbbb904c8013b74308d58af88bc7dbb1b055c appears to remove the code that causes this issue. Mon 26 Oct
CVE-2026-68770 9.3 critical 1.0% no CPE yet sentence-transformers contains a security control bypass vulnerability that allows attackers to achieve arbitrary code execution by exploiting a logic flaw in the import_module_class helper within sentence_transformers/util/misc.py, where the guard condition includes an 'or os.path.exists(model_name_or_path)' clause that satisfies the trust gate whenever the supplied path exists on the local filesystem, regardless of the trust_remote_code=False argument. Attackers who can control or influence the contents of a model directory on disk can place malicious Python files such as modeling_*.py referenced via modules.json, causing the code to execute at import time when an application loads the model with SentenceTransformer(path, trust_remote_code=False), bypassing the documented security contract and achieving code execution within the loading process. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2025-66448 8.8 high 1.0% vllm vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models (LLMs). Prior to 0.11.1, vllm has a critical remote code execution vector in a config class named Nemotron_Nano_VL_Config. When vllm loads a model config that contains an auto_map entry, the config class resolves that mapping with get_class_from_dynamic_module(...) and immediately instantiates the returned class. This fetches and executes Python from the remote repository referenced in the auto_map string. Crucially, this happens even when the caller explicitly sets trust_remote_code=False in vllm.transformers_utils.config.get_config. In practice, an attacker can publish a benign-looking frontend repo whose config.json points via auto_map to a separate malicious backend repo; loading the frontend will silently run the backend’s code on the victim host. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.11.1. 18 Oct
CVE-2026-76841 8.7 high 1.0% no CPE yet Xinference loads models with Hugging Face remote code execution unconditionally enabled, and before version 2.12.0 exposes no setting to disable it. Six loader call sites pass trust_remote_code=True as a literal or as an unconditional default: RerankModel._get_tokenizer in xinference/model/rerank/core.py, SentenceTransformerRerankModel.load in xinference/model/rerank/sentence_transformers/core.py, SentenceTransformerEmbeddingModel.load in xinference/model/embedding/sentence_transformers/core.py, FlagEmbeddingModel.load in xinference/model/embedding/flag/core.py, and two sites in xinference/model/llm/transformers/core.py where PytorchModel._sanitize_model_config and PytorchModel._get_components default the value to True. Because a caller with model launch access can register a model whose type is unknown and supply an arbitrary model path, the server reaches _auto_detect_type and then AutoTokenizer.from_pretrained, which imports and executes Python declared by the model directory's own tokenizer_config.json auto_map, running attacker-supplied code with the privileges of the worker process. Version 2.12.0 gates every site behind allow_trust_remote_code and the XINFERENCE_TRUST_REMOTE_CODE setting, permitting remote code only for bundled built-in models. 12 Oct
CVE-2025-6921 7.5 high 1.0% huggingface, transformers The huggingface/transformers library, versions prior to 4.53.0, is vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) in the AdamWeightDecay optimizer. The vulnerability arises from the _do_use_weight_decay method, which processes user-controlled regular expressions in the include_in_weight_decay and exclude_from_weight_decay lists. Malicious regular expressions can cause catastrophic backtracking during the re.search call, leading to 100% CPU utilization and a denial of service. This issue can be exploited by attackers who can control the patterns in these lists, potentially causing the machine learning task to hang and rendering services unresponsive. 11 Oct
CVE-2026-114053 9.2 critical 0.00% no CPE yet vLLM from 0.7.3 before 0.31.0 forwards the request-supplied mm_processor_kwargs.code_revision to Transformers AutoProcessor.from_pretrained, letting clients select which revision of a model's dynamic processor code is imported when trust_remote_code is enabled. An attacker controlling a revision in the served model repository can send a multimodal request to the unauthenticated /tokenize endpoint to execute arbitrary Python in the vLLM API process. Tue 27 Oct
CVE-2026-1839 7.8 high 0.00% huggingface, transformers A vulnerability in the HuggingFace Transformers library, specifically in the `Trainer` class, allows for arbitrary code execution. The `_load_rng_state()` method in `src/transformers/trainer.py` at line 3059 calls `torch.load()` without the `weights_only=True` parameter. This issue affects all versions of the library supporting `torch>=2.2` when used with PyTorch versions below 2.6, as the `safe_globals()` context manager provides no protection in these versions. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by supplying a malicious checkpoint file, such as `rng_state.pth`, which can execute arbitrary code when loaded. The issue is resolved in version v5.0.0rc3. Mon 26 Oct

CVE-2026-9856 7.1 high 0.00% no CPE yet A vulnerability in huggingface/transformers versions <=5.8.0.dev0 allows an attacker to perform arbitrary file writes via path traversal. The issue resides in the `save_pretrained()` methods of `PreTrainedTokenizerBase` and `ProcessorMixin`, where keys from the `chat_template` dictionary are used directly as filenames without proper validation. An attacker can exploit this by publishing a malicious Hugging Face Hub repository with a crafted `tokenizer_config.json` file. When a victim downloads and saves the tokenizer or processor, the attacker-controlled keys can escape the intended save directory, enabling arbitrary file writes with attacker-controlled content. This vulnerability affects multiple processors inheriting from `ProcessorMixin`, including Idefics, Florence, Gemma, Phi, and Qwen-VL. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-75104 6.8 medium 0.00% no CPE yet Hugging Face Transformers fails to validate shard filenames in checkpoint index files, allowing attackers to read arbitrary files outside the model directory. Attackers can supply malicious index files with parent-directory references or absolute paths that are joined without validation, enabling file disclosure and filesystem reconnaissance. Fri 23 Oct
CVE-2026-73560 6.5 medium 0.00% vllm vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. Prior to 0.26.0, the MiMoV2OmniMultiModalProcessor in vllm/transformers_utils/processors/mimo_v2_omni.py passes attacker-controlled image and audio strings through _fetch_image, requests.get, and Image.open instead of MediaConnector, bypassing allowed_media_domains and allowed_local_media_path protections and allowing server-side requests and reads of arbitrary files accessible to the vLLM process. This issue is fixed in version 0.26.0. Fri 23 Oct
