| CVE-2026-24118exploit | 9.8 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.0, VM2 suffers from a sandbox breakout vulnerability. This allows attackers to write code which can escape from the VM2 sandbox and execute arbitrary commands on the host system. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.0. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47210 | 9.8 critical | 2.0% | no CPE yet | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.4, a sandbox escape vulnerability in vm2 allows arbitrary code execution in the host process when untrusted code is executed with async support on runtimes exposing WebAssembly JSPI (WebAssembly.promising / WebAssembly.Suspending). In the tested configuration, a JSPI-backed Promise can reach Promise.prototype.finally() in a way that bypasses the expected Promise-species hardening and exposes a host-originated rejection object to attacker-controlled species logic, breaking the sandbox boundary. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.4. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-26332 | 10.0 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.0, SuppressedError allows attackers to escape the sandbox and run arbitrary code. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.0. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-43997 | 10.0 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.0, it is possible to obtain the host Object. There are various ways to use the host Object, to escape the sandbox, one example would be using HostObject.getOwnPropertySymbols to obtain Symbol(nodejs.util.inspect.custom). This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-44005 | 10.0 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. From 3.9.6 to 3.10.5, vm2's bridge exposes mutable proxies for real host-realm intrinsic prototypes and then forwards sandbox writes into the underlying host objects with otherReflectSet() and otherReflectDefineProperty(), which lets attacker-controlled JavaScript running in a default VM or inherited NodeVM mutate shared host Object.prototype, Array.prototype, and Function.prototype from inside the sandbox This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-44006 | 10.0 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.0, It is possible to reach BaseHandler.getPrototypeOf, which can be used to get arbitrary prototypes. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47131 | 10.0 critical | 1.0% | no CPE yet | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.4, by combining Buffer.call.call({}.__lookupGetter__, Buffer, "__proto__"), Buffer.call.call({}.__lookupSetter__, Buffer, "__proto__"), and Node.js's ERR_INVALID_ARG_TYPE Error, the host's TypeError constructor can be obtained, which allows the escape from the sandbox. This allows attackers to run arbitrary code. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.4. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47140 | 10.0 critical | 1.0% | no CPE yet | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.4, NodeVM blocks several dangerous Node.js builtins such as module, worker_threads, cluster, vm, repl, and inspector. However, the denylist misses process and inspector/promises. Both can be used from sandboxed code to reach host-side execution primitives. This allows sandboxed code to bypass the intended builtin restrictions and execute code in the host process. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.4. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47208 | 10.0 critical | 1.0% | no CPE yet | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.4, VM2 suffers from a sandbox breakout vulnerability. This allows attackers to write code which can escape from the VM2 sandbox and execute arbitrary commands on the host system. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.4. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-43999 | 9.9 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.0, NodeVM's builtin allowlist can be bypassed when the module builtin is allowed (including via the '*' wildcard). The module builtin exposes Node's Module._load(), which loads any module by name directly in the host context, completely bypassing vm2's builtin restriction. This allows sandboxed code to load excluded builtins like child_process and achieve remote code execution. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47686 | 9.9 critical | 1.0% | no CPE yet | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.6, handleException() in lib/setup-sandbox.js sanitizes SuppressedError.error, SuppressedError.suppressed, and AggregateError.errors but does not sanitize Error.cause, allowing sandbox code to obtain a powerful host object such as process from an embedder-exposed host function that throws an error with that object as its cause and then execute arbitrary host commands. This issue is fixed in version 3.11.6. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-24781 | 9.8 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.0, VM2 suffers from a sandbox breakout vulnerability through the inspect function. This allows attackers to write code which can escape from the VM2 sandbox and execute arbitrary commands on the host system. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.0. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-26956 | 9.8 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. In version 3.10.4, vm2 is vulnerable to full sandbox escape with arbitrary code execution. Attacker code inside VM.run() obtains host process object and runs host commands with zero host cooperation. This issue has been patched in version 3.10.5. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-44008 | 9.8 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.2, the new method neutralizeArraySpeciesBatch works with objects from the other side but can call into this side via getter on the array prototype exposing objects of the wrong side into the sandbox. This can be used to get host objects and get the host Function object. This allows attackers to write code which can escape from the VM2 sandbox and execute arbitrary commands on the host system. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.2. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-44009 | 9.8 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.2, This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.2. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-45411 | 9.8 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.3, it is possible to catch a host exception using the yield* expression inside an async generator. When the generator is closed using the return function, the value is awaited on and exceptions thrown in the then call will be caught by the runtime and passed to the yield* iterator as the next value. This allows attackers to write code which can escape from the VM2 sandbox and execute arbitrary commands on the host system. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.3. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-24120 | 9.8 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.10.5, the fix for CVE-2023-37466 is insufficient and can be circumvented allowing attackers to write code which can escape from the VM2 sandbox and execute arbitrary commands on the host system. This issue has been patched in version 3.10.5. | Sun 25 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47698 | 9.8 critical | 1.0% | no CPE yet | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.6, lib/bridge.js and lib/setup-sandbox.js fail to block stacked indirection through Function.prototype.call around dangerous host prototype getter and setter mutators, allowing sandbox code to sever a host intrinsic's prototype chain and reach e.constructor.constructor for arbitrary host command execution. This issue is fixed in version 3.11.6. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-73483 | 9.4 critical | 1.0% | flowiseai, flowise | Flowise (packages flowise and flowise-components) in versions <= 3.1.2 contain a sandbox escape in the vm2/@flowiseai/nodevm JavaScript sandbox. An authenticated user with access to the /api/v1/node-custom-function endpoint can escape the sandbox by supplying attacker-controlled executablePath and args parameters to puppeteer.launch(), which internally invokes child_process.spawn() outside the sandbox boundary. This allows execution of arbitrary OS commands as the Flowise process user (root in the official Docker image) and arbitrary host file disclosure via Chromium's file:// URL handling. In versions 3.0.8–3.1.2 exploitation requires ALLOW_BUILTIN_DEP=true; earlier versions are exploitable by default. Fixed in 3.1.3. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2024-58351 | 9.3 critical | 1.0% | no CPE yet | Flowise before 2.1.4 allows configuration to be injected into the Chainflow during execution via the overrideConfig option, supported in both the frontend web integration and the backend Prediction API. Because this feature is enabled by default with no allow-list of permitted variables and relies on vm2 for sandboxing, an attacker can abuse it to achieve remote code execution and sandbox escape, denial of service by crashing the server, server-side request forgery, prompt injection, and server variable and data exfiltration. These issues are self-targeted and do not persist to other users. | Tue 27 Oct |
| CVE-2026-44007 | 9.1 critical | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.1, when a NodeVM is created with nesting: true, sandbox code can unconditionally require('vm2') regardless of the outer VM's require configuration — including require: false. With access to vm2, the sandbox constructs a new inner NodeVM with its own unrestricted require settings and executes arbitrary OS commands on the host. Any application that runs untrusted code inside a NodeVM with nesting: true is fully compromised. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.1. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-73602 | 9.0 critical | 1.0% | flowiseai, flowise | Flowise before 3.1.3 contains a sandbox escape vulnerability in the vm2 JavaScript sandbox that allows authenticated users to execute arbitrary code by exploiting moment locale validation bypass. Attackers can craft a fake String object with a match function that bypasses path traversal checks to load and execute malicious JavaScript files stored in the document store outside the sandbox. | Sat 24 Oct |
| CVE-2026-69253 | 9.0 critical | 1.0% | flowiseai, flowise | Flowise is a drag-and-drop user interface for building customized large language model (LLM) flows. Prior to version 3.1.3, several custom-tool components — AgentAsTool, ChatflowTool, and ExecuteFlow — ran code in the in-process vm2 sandbox. To build that code, they inserted a user-controlled baseURL value straight into the JavaScript source, for example const url = "${baseURL}/..."; . The only check on baseURL was isValidURL , but a valid-looking URL can still contain characters that break out of a code string. An authenticated user could craft a baseURL that passed this check, closed the surrounding string, and injected their own JavaScript into the sandboxed script (code injection, CWE-94). The vm2 sandbox runs in the same Node.js process as Flowise and exposes risky dependencies. As a result, the injected code could escape the sandbox and run arbitrary code on the Flowise server as the Flowise process user. Exploitation only requires an authenticated session. The issue is fixed in version 3.1.3, which passes the URL to the sandbox as data instead of inserting it into code and adds stricter URL validation. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47683 | 8.7 high | 1.0% | no CPE yet | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.6, the bufferAllocLimit enforcement in lib/setup-sandbox.js does not cover Buffer.concat(list, totalLength) or Buffer.from(arrayLike) with an attacker-controlled length, allowing sandbox code to perform large synchronous host external-memory allocations that bypass the configured cap and can exhaust the host process. This issue is fixed in version 3.11.6. | Fri 23 Oct |
| CVE-2026-43998 | 8.5 high | 1.0% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. In 3.10.5, NodeVM's require.root path restriction can be bypassed using filesystem symlinks, allowing sandboxed code to load modules from outside the allowed root directory in host context. Because path validation uses path.resolve() (which does not dereference symlinks) but module loading uses Node's native require() (which does), an attacker can load arbitrary host-realm modules and achieve remote code execution. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47137 | 10.0 critical | 0.00% | no CPE yet | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.4, the fix for GHSA-8hg8-63c5-gwmx (CVE-2023-37903) introduced a check in nodevm.js line 263 that blocks the combination nesting: true + require: false. However, the check uses strict equality (options.require === false), which is trivially bypassed by omitting the require option entirely. When require is not specified, options.require is undefined, not false. The strict equality check fails, so the security guard is skipped. Immediately after (line 280), the destructuring default require: requireOpts = false assigns requireOpts = false, producing the exact configuration the patch was designed to prevent. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.4. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47135 | 8.7 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.4, Symbol.for override in setup-sandbox.js only intercepts 2 of 9 dangerous Node.js cross-realm symbols. Combined with the bridge's set/defineProperty/deleteProperty traps having no isDangerousCrossRealmSymbol key check, sandbox code can obtain real cross-realm symbols, write them to host objects, and control host-side behavior — verified with a full util.promisify hijack chain. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.4. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-44001 | 8.6 high | 0.00% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.0, a sandbox escape vulnerability in vm2 v3.10.5 allows any sandboxed code to crash the host Node.js process via a single Promise constructor that triggers an unhandled rejection propagating to the host. The fix for CVE-2026-22709 (v3.10.2) only sanitized the onRejected callback in .then() and .catch() overrides and did not address the executor-to-unhandledRejection path. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47139 | 8.6 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.4, NodeVM supports excluding public network builtins from the wildcard builtin option. With this configuration direct access to http, https, http2, net, dgram, tls, dns, and dns/promises is blocked. However, Node.js also exposes underscored internal HTTP builtins such as _http_client and _http_server. These are not blocked when the public modules are excluded. Sandboxed code can use these internal builtins to make outbound HTTP requests and open listening HTTP sockets even though the public network modules are denied. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.4. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47209 | 8.6 high | 0.00% | no CPE yet | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.4, the BaseHandler.set trap in bridge.js (line 1231) ignores the receiver parameter and unconditionally writes to the host target object. Per the Proxy set trap specification, when receiver !== proxy (e.g., when a child object inherits from the proxy via Object.create), the property assignment should create an own property on the receiver, not on the proxy target. The current implementation always calls otherReflectSet(object, key, value) against the host target, causing all inherited property writes to leak through to the host object. This bug provides an alternative attack vector for writing dangerous cross-realm Symbol keys (e.g., nodejs.util.promisify.custom) to host objects, bypassing any future per-trap isDangerousCrossRealmSymbol guard on the direct set path. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.4. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2025-39776 | 7.8 high | 0.00% | linux, debian, linux_kernel, debian_linux | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/debug_vm_pgtable: clear page table entries at destroy_args() The mm/debug_vm_pagetable test allocates manually page table entries for the tests it runs, using also its manually allocated mm_struct. That in itself is ok, but when it exits, at destroy_args() it fails to clear those entries with the *_clear functions. The problem is that leaves stale entries. If another process allocates an mm_struct with a pgd at the same address, it may end up running into the stale entry. This is happening in practice on a debug kernel with CONFIG_DEBUG_VM_PGTABLE=y, for example this is the output with some extra debugging I added (it prints a warning trace if pgtables_bytes goes negative, in addition to the warning at check_mm() function): [ 2.539353] debug_vm_pgtable: [get_random_vaddr ]: random_vaddr is 0x7ea247140000 [ 2.539366] kmem_cache info [ 2.539374] kmem_cachep 0x000000002ce82385 - freelist 0x0000000000000000 - offset 0x508 [ 2.539447] debug_vm_pgtable: [init_args ]: args->mm is 0x000000002267cc9e (...) | CVE-2026-44004 | 7.5 high | 0.00% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.0, sandboxed code can call Buffer.alloc() with an arbitrary size to allocate memory directly on the host heap. Because Buffer.alloc is a synchronous C++ native call, vm2's timeout option cannot interrupt it. A single request can exhaust host memory and crash the process with a FATAL ERROR: Reached heap limit. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-44000 | 7.2 high | 0.00% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.0, a sandbox boundary violation in vm2 allows host object identity to cross into the sandbox through host Promise resolution. When a host-side Promise that resolves to a host object is exposed to the sandbox, the value delivered to the sandbox .then() callback preserves host identity. This allows the sandbox to interact with the host object directly, including performing identity checks using host-side WeakMap and mutating host object state from inside the sandbox. This behavior occurs because the Promise fulfillment wrapper uses ensureThis() instead of the stronger cross-realm conversion path (from() / proxy wrapping). If no prototype mapping is found, ensureThis() returns the original object. As a result, objects resolved by host Promises can cross the sandbox boundary without proper isolation. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-47141 | 6.9 medium | 0.00% | no CPE yet | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to version 3.11.4, NodeVM exposes some process-wide observability builtins when they are allowed through require.builtin. The diagnostics_channel, async_hooks, and perf_hooks builtins are not blocked by the dangerous builtin denylist. These modules are process-wide, not sandbox-local. Sandboxed code can use them to observe host application data across the vm2 boundary. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.4. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-44002 | 5.8 medium | 0.00% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.0, vm2's CallSite wrapper class (intended as a safe wrapper for V8's native CallSite) blocks getThis() and getFunction() to prevent host object leakage, but allows getFileName() to return unsanitized host absolute paths. Any sandboxed code can extract the full directory structure, library paths, and framework versions of the host server. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.11.0. | Mon 26 Oct |
| CVE-2026-44003 | 5.8 medium | 0.00% | vm2_project, vm2 | vm2 is an open source vm/sandbox for Node.js. Prior to 3.11.0, vm2's code transformer has a performance optimization that skips AST analysis when the code does not contain catch, import, or async keywords. This fast-path bypass allows sandboxed code to directly access the internal VM2_INTERNAL_STATE_DO_NOT_USE_OR_PROGRAM_WILL_FAIL variable, which exposes internal security functions (handleException, wrapWith, import).
